I stood at the register for quite a while while one employee was grinding beans and another was stocking milk, and neither acknowledged me. The employee grinding beans saw me, then turned back to her work without saying anything. Another made direct eye contact and walked away. No greeting, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. As someone with a background in hospitality, I know how much small moments of service matter. A simple acknowledgment would have made all the difference. Although I've been a big fan of their coffee, the experience was disappointing enough that I ended up leaving without buying anything.

Now, we will always order acai bowls with peanut butter, as it pairs so well with the fruit and granola. In addition to the acai bowl, the spam musubi was another favorite. If you come early in the morning (I believe before 8) there's also a complimentary coffee and tea stand. For dinner, we ordered several dishes and shared. A standout was the poke bowl, which came with a lot of greens. Texturally, it was a great dish. Everyone left full and happy. And, the staff were so friendly too.
