Chicken kabob
Adrianna S.

Yummy strikes again! Heart-warming, taste-bud satisfying meals remind me of a lovingly-cooked meal from a Mediterranean home. Chicken kabob was delicious, as were all the tasty sides. The owner has a warm smile and kindly attends to all patrons, always with a warm spot of tea! My go-to for delicious weekday fast meal!

Mixed Grill Platter - Takeout

Everything tasted great! I ordered take out with DoorDash. The food was prepared on time and properly. Big fan of the lamb kabab and grilled chicken kabab.

In the midst of planning a work holiday party, we weren't quite sure what to order for catering. A friend of mine kept seeing this restaurant pop up on the Memorial FB page as a must try and so we decided to give it a go! We stopped in for lunch one day and got the chicken and lamb shawarmas which came with a side of fries and some hummus. As we waited for our food, I could tell that this was a family owned business and I believe the whole family was in there working! We had a little bit of a wait bc we came in behind a large group, which I knew that meant it had to be good, but the owner and I believe his daughter were so sweet, and apologized for the wait! The wait was worth it! The food was so delicious and well flavored. I loved my chicken shawarma and the sauce they had on there with the pickles! The fries were seasoned and nicely crisp, and the hummus had a smooth texture to it. I personally love a red bell pepper hummus, so I'd love if they could offer more flavors in the future. My friend also let me try her lamb and it was delicious as well, thinly shaven meat and it just melted in my mouth! We decided that this would be the place we'd use for our catering. The owner was so helpful and gracious! We ordered for 30 people so he made recommendations on what to get, we went with the chicken, beef and lamb shawarma and falafel as well with a salad and hummus with pita! There was a lot of food and everyone really enjoyed it. The food was packed in time for our pickup and just hearing how grateful the owner was just made our day and our tummies!!

5 stars!! Really delicious food and super friendly staff. Left feeling super stuffed. A must visit if you like Mediterranean food!

1/2 Chicken Platter with Lentil Soup

Quiet Mediterranean cafe. Dropped by during lunch hour and received quick efficient service. While I got my meal as take out, the meals coming out of the kitchen were well presented with amazing aromas filling the cafe. The lentil soup was smooth and well seasoned. The chicken was juicy and the hummus was creamy. Definitely recommend.

Really good chicken shawarma and presentation. It's small but it's family owned and you can tell they happy to serve.

Really nice local little restaurant. The lamb was superbly cooked!! The gyro sandwich was so full of flavor. Rice was really nicely cooked! The staff is really lovely and we ended the meal with a beautiful cup of tea. Will be back. Everything looked and tasted good!

I felt like I was having an authentic dining experience. The server/chef/owner brought out tea after we sat down. After looking over the menu we went up to the counter and ordered. The food came out hot and delicious. The meats were well seasoned and ideal cooked. The pita was thin and warm. The hummus was flavorful and the helpings were sufficient for the price. The service was attentive and friendly. A smile goes a long way. The selling lot can get fill as it shares it with other restaurants and retail stores in this strip mall. The restaurant was clean and well kept. It felt inviting and felt like an authentic cafe. I liked it and would go back again.

I enjoyed a lovely late lunch at The Olive Branch. It's on Diary Ashford, right next to Hebert's. The owner cooks everything fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the food is even better. I asked him what he would make himself if he were making lunch. He brought me the chicken shwarma wrap. I asked for a small side salad instead of the French fries. He brought me out complementary falafels to try and a little dessert of baklava. The meal came with complementary Turkish tea, and it was lovely. Please share this post & let's support our local small businesses. God Bless.

I took a chance and ordered from the new restaurant, Olive Branch for an executive luncheon for about 20ppl....and wow! Customer service was fantastic. The man I spoke to, I assume was the owner, was super kind, very helpful in picking the menu. Everyone was asking where the food was catered from and no one spoke during lunch because they were so busy eating lol! That says a lot! My husband said it was flavorful and delicious and approves putting Olive branch on our list to cater from for future luncheons! Check this place out! It's a much needed restaurant in the area!

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and delicious food. What more can you ask for... it is hard to find authentic shawarma that is not americanized. You will find it here.

Authentic and flavourful…read more Service and atmosphere: Our server was polite, friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and very well designed and decorated. It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. The food was fresh, well seasoned and was full of flavours. The meats were moist, salad and starter tasted fresh. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

My recent visits here consisted of a Gyros Plate with rice, Hamburger with uncut tomatoes n pickles…read more& lemon potatoes and Greek Spaghetti Meat Sauce on Sunday Special. All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.

The chicken shish kebab, falafel, lamb kebab, and menemen were all well seasoned and paired nicely with the many dishes of rice, salad, and flatbread they all came with.
