    Buffet line at Fadis

Fadis is always a feast for the senses. From the brightly colored flowers and lights to the plates and platters of fresh dishes, it feels as if you are visiting a middle eastern bazaar. The service is quick through the line and grill items are brought to your table.

Fadi's has been a staple for excellent quality Mediterranean food for ages. For a place that is so large, the feel is very familial and cozy. The lighting is soft hues and while the lines can be long, they do move quickly. The servers move like clockwork and are friendly and helpful along the line. The food in itself is exquisite. I love the varieties of hummus available. The original is my favorite, but the mushroom one is also great. The spanakopita, meat pies and kabobs are delicacies that should not be missed as you walk down the line. The grilled chicken, meatballs, lamb shank and fish are the meats that are all cooked and seasoned well. The quantities are large ad go well with the vermicelli rice and with the pita. Oh the pita! The servers are generous with the pita, which is soft and fluffy and goes with everything. You can end with some amazing baklava and cake slices, and fresh juice!

Literally my favorite restaurant in Houston!!!! I come whenever I'm visiting and it's even better now. You can get half sides so you get so much variety. Food is fresh, excellent flavor, and staff is friendly!!

Wide variety of options to eat from. Love that most things are already cooked and ready to go. Some meats however need extra time to cook. One additional thing not clear is that there are half-side orders you can mix and match

This is looks more like boiled lamb than char-grilled

For the first time ever, I didn't like my food. I ordered lamb kebab and it looks boiled (no caramelization at all) and is very chewy, and all the salads are dripping excessively with mayonnaise or yoghurt or something. I wanted cabbage salad and got this horrible glob of what looks like cabbage and kale floating in mayo, GROSS! Very disappointed tonight. Tossing the entire thing.

Mediterranean restaurant worth visiting. Service: We received good customer service. People serving the food of your choice were polite and helpful. Food: Big variety of various types of foods. From hummus and vegetables to different salads and meats. We tried combos (recommended) which allowed us to sample more foods. Everything was well prepared, well seasoned and tested good. The meats were tender. Location and pricing: The restaurant offers many seating areas so you can be seated fast. Prices were justified for the quality of food. We would come back for sure.

I have been going here for YEARS. Always always so good. This is my favorite Mediterranean place. The service is always fast, it's buffet style...you tell them what you want. Kebabs are good and the meat u can order. Grape leaves are good but sometimes too stiff however the filling is still amazing. This is such a family restaurant to go for dinner or lunch, it feels homey. Their falafels are also top tier! they have so many hummuses to choose from and they are all a classic!

As one of the most famous Mediterranean establishments in Houston, Fadi's has become a fixture in the city's dining scene with the local fanfare to prove it. I've always enjoyed my time here and have topped off every experience with a serious food coma. I leap at the chance to visit Fadi's whenever I get the chance. Some random thoughts: :: The setup is simple: Grab a tray and make your way around the cafeteria style layout. The more you add to your tray, the more you'll pay. :: They don't offer samples. Trust your craving and be wise with your food selections. :: "Half" orders are recommended. Too many full orders will result in extra fees, which is not obvious when people are blinded by the food. :: Find a seat ahead of time. There's nothing more awkward than walking around with a tray full of food looking for a place to sit. :: The parking can be tight. Fadi's popularity means people often have to park further down the lot. :: Groups are fun but this is an ideal place for solo dining or food dates. :: Both lunch and dinner services are packed. Try to aim for non-prime hours. :: Wednesdays are my favorite day. Why? They serve an addicting fish and rice combo. It's actually one of their best dishes and deserves all the shine. At the end of the day, I think Fadi's is a destination for Mediterranean fans. Their interior is lovely, spacious, and offers a lot of opportunities for private groups. The prices aren't back breaking but the price tag has slowly crept up over the years, but at least the service usually makes up for it.

It had great Persian vibe including music played. Food and drinks: Very good selection of traditional dishes that were not westernised as in other Persian restaurants. The food was fresh, well seasoned and was full of flavours. The meats were moist, salad and starter tasted fresh. Pinch of sumac which was available on each table was a perfect addition to our dishes. Highly recommend hot Persian tea. Pricing: $$ - very affordable for the quality and quantity of foods received.

However, we were charged for it at the end. I understand the charge itself, but no one at the table had ordered it; they just set it on the table. It would have been nice if the staff had made it clear or asked if we wanted to add it to our meal. Perhaps there was a mix up with another table. Our experience was otherwise great, but double check the menu for what is complimentary and what isn't.

All 3 meals were really flavorful, good quality, really well-seasoned, very juicy and so delicious. The gyros and burger are without question imo the best in TX. Ekko's and Nick The Greek are 2nd n 3rd for Greek food for me. I always got the gyros sandwich as opposed to the plate before which is odd bc I always prefer meat plates over sandwich form in other foods like bbq, steak, etc. The meat pieces were all really tasty and had some slight char to them too. The taziki sauce is always cold, creamy in feel and refreshing with a good yogurt aroma to it. It's a great bonus and the gyros didn't even need it tbh. The tomatoes were nicely refreshing and the exotic, cool center dolma is always a little treat with meals here. The rice and chunky lemon potatoes with my meals were always mild but still great in texture and prep. As I said before; from my experiences in every single Greek cafe, if the taziki sauce is good, the gyros will be too. It's a solid symptom and indicator imo. As for the burger, very rarely are burger places only in TX actually any good for the past 15 years. So many are just average or below lacking seasoning or a great overall flavor. Niko Niko's, Goode Company Hamburgers and TX Hamburger Palace are my top 3 in that order for it. Each different too. The brioche buns were just the right thickness and very soft to make the beef patty stick out well. The patty was so nice in charbroiled taste, saltiness, richness, beefiness and tender in every bite. A good burger doesn't need much in toppings, but cool, refreshing, tomatoes are a must for me and pickles add some tangy crunch too. For steak rare, but for a burger medium to medium rare. I had never seen or heard of their Greek Spaghetti n Meat Sauce before. This was like a Greek Bolognese with a lot of love in its flavor. The noodles were drained, very moist and so soft. I don't like too much cheese, so I took some off, but still like some. The meat sauce gravy itself was really flavorful, savory, fatty enough and had that subtle sweet, warm spice aroma you get in the Greek lasagna. I like to get dessert here sometimes when I have extra room, bc they have some great options like their galaktobourreko, chocolate ganache cake, etc. The service was very welcoming, friendly and efficient on these visits.

The place is new but not recently new, so I was impress that they were still attracting a crowd. The place was packed and busy but the host was still able to seat us immediately. With reservation, of course. Our seat was a banquet seating and when the host directed us to our table, we notice the party seated next to our table had placed all their personal belongings on our seats. We had to ask the host to ask them to remove their personals so that we can sit down. I felt that the host should have done that and not upon our request. Our server was Keamogetswe and she jumped right into explaining the menu since it was our first time. I am used to ordering drinks first and while waiting for our drinks, explore the food menu. That way, we can ask questions about any item we were unfamiliar with on the menu. Anyways, we ordered our food and they came out very fast. For starters, we had the grilled shrimp which was just two shrimps. They were not prawns so the size of the two shrimps for $18 was not worth it to me. We also tried the Rumi's wings. They were average to me. Nothing to brag about. For the main course, we wanted to try several dishes and settle for a family style meal. We had the braised lamb shank, chicken kabob and the Koobideh Kabob. Since all plates came with rice, Keamogetswe suggest we try different rice options which was a great suggestion. So for the rice, we had the Adas, the Baghali and the Shirin. I have to admit that the braised lamb was amazing. The stew it sat in was very flavorful and the meat melted off the bone it came with. The Koobideh was also another favorite of mine. Both, I highly recommend everyone to try. And my favorite rice was the Shirin. As we moved on to dessert, we had the burnt honey & pistachio cake and the persian ice cream sandwich. Both taste great but the persian ice cream sandwich itself was vanilla wafer. Different but it made it easier to eat with your fingers. The weird thing was when the dessert was served to us, so was the check. I am used to us eating dessert or just starting to enjoy dessert before being handed the check. And when they do hand me the check, they would mention that it was no rush and when I am ready to take care of it. But that didn't happen and I decided to get it out of the way so I can just enjoy the dessert. As we were conversing and finishing our drinks, they started to clear our table and even picked up the signed check or tab. It felt like they were hinting us to get up. I feel that if there was a time frame to dine with them, they should have made us aware of it before dinner or when we made reservation like how Toca Madera does. So that made me feel uncomfortable. But this could just be me.
