I can't believe I'm barely trying Fadi's for the first time in Houston, Texas. This has been on my radar for years. Great food, excellence, customer service, great value for the price. Food: the kebabs are freshly made to perfection, the chicken was simply amazing. That is seasoned and so tender and full of flavor. Simply amazing. The beef was good as well. Some of it was a little tough. I think maybe I have to go back and try that one again, but it was still good. I enjoyed it. We had two different hummus, they were amazing as well. I will say the naan bread didn't taste too authentic, I'm not sure if that's maid there. Maybe it came out of a bag I don't know, but that one was a little bit different. But all the vegetables were fresh. The kebabs were great. This is an easy five star review. The customer service is great. Everyone is really not working. I will definitely come back here again. FOOD POISONING Was sick for 4 days after eating at this restaurant. Do not recommend.

I usually love this place and the food is excellent but the woman who works there is so rude. That's why I'm giving it one star. The first woman smiled and said "welcome back" because I I take out there so often for my family. I asked for a sample from the second person and she smiled and gave me one. I was gonna buy tabouli so I asked for a sample of that and she said, "0nly two. bye-bye" in a sarcastic dismissive manner as though she were getting rid of a stray dog. read more

The parking situation is kind of difficult but if its not 900 degrees outside and you can walk from a nearby museum DO IT. Everything is super fresh and entrees are made to order. Let me start by saying I am a fan of at least two other Fadi's restaurants in the Houston area. This particular branch was not hitting on all fours however. My dining companion put it well,"The food was cooked as though they are following a recipe and only have a vague idea of what it's supposed to taste like." There were two of us, and we got chicken shawarma wrap, lamb wrap, fries, 1 drink, two half sides, and 1 baklava for about $50 USD at lunchtime. I do not think I have ever paid so much for so little. The meat had too many onions in it and was liberally seasoned with pepper, but they forgot the salt. The yogurt sauce had zero flavor. I almost think they just gave us plain yogurt with nothing else in it because the consistency was so thick. The chicken shawarma was dry. The pita bread was bitter and it did not taste at all fresh although it was only about noon on a weekday. I think this Fadi's must be one of those places that people only go to because it is convenient to the museums or their workplaces. The overall ambience was clean although the one person per bathroom with only 2 bathrooms total situation is not ideal given that one has to share with the staff. Finally, although the chicken shawarma table sign, they gave me stated 15 minutes to cook, it easily took 20 minutes. There were only four people ahead of us with only one of them getting something that took extra time to cook. Her sign said 8 minutes. I did not see anyone do a delivery order or pickup order while we were there which was about 40 minutes.Do they only have one grill then? The kale salad was only okay. What's wrong with this Fadi location? I live in Austin. Everytime I go to Houston, I must visit Fadi. This is my first time at this location. Pita bread: a total disappointment. Pita bread at Fadi is to die for, but not here. The bread has a weird acidic taste to it, and it's flat. It's far from fresh. Why? Why open a new location just to bring down the reputation of the whole chain ? Salad bar: it's way smaller than other locations, which is understandable. baba ganoush tastes so off. The kabobs taste fine. Overall, I for sure won't be back at this location again. read more

I grew up going to Fadi's Mediterranean Grill. I have always had very fond memories of this restaurant. I remember very big plates with delicious proteins, and an abundance of sides to choose from that always seemed to hit the spot. One of my favorite dishes growing up was the fried cauliflower. After many years, I finally returned to Fadi's. This was my first time at the museum District location. From initial impression, the storefront was very small and there didn't seem to be as many options as I remembered. Following trends in the market, the prices at Fadis have also increased drastically. Nonetheless, I was still excited to try this delicious childhood memory. I ordered the trio kabob combo, which featured shrimp, chicken, and beef kabobs over rice. For my two sides, I got a hummus and the fried cauliflower. The combos also come with a free pita. Overall, the dish was not as good as I remembered. The proteins could have been seasoned and cooked better. The cauliflower was a bit mushier and oilier than I remembered. The hummus was good, but the pita that went along with it did not have an enjoyable texture (kind of hard). Honestly, I think the best part about my meal was the rice that came with the proteins. From what I remember, Fadi's used to give a more authentic feel that was run by people from the culture. Everyone in the store today was Spanish-speaking and it just didn't feel the same that they couldn't explain each hummus or dish to me. It is the equivalent of walking into a Chinese restaurant where none of the employees speak Chinese. Honestly, I am not the biggest fan of this fadis location, however, I hope to return to the one in sugar land soon to compare the quality of the food and restaurant vibes and see if it is as good as I once experienced. read more

It's not hard to see the appeal in Fadi's menu. Sides such as their grilled balsamic vegetables, fried cauliflower, and coriander potatoes remind me of the clean yet savory options that Mediterranean cuisine offers. My classic combo (1 entree, 2 sides) came with reasonably sized portions, though I expected my wrap to be larger. They normally don't allow more than 1 protein for the wrap, but the manager graciously let me combine chicken shwarma and gyro in my wrap for free. As I roamed through the salad bar, I had difficulty deciding on only 2 sides. I personally feel that their sides fare better than the entrees. My entree (combination wrap) tasted decent, but nothing outstanding. However, I thoroughly enjoyed my friend's fried cauliflower that I sampled. I wish I chose the cauliflower myself but the balsamic vegetables and coriander potatoes still served as highlights to my recent visit. This location has room for improvement. The pita could have used a softer texture and might have even been a little stale. My wrap's chicken and gyro could have used more seasoning and the tzatziki dip tasted plain. For a 15 minute wait time, I expected higher quality out of my entree. Fadi's is a great introduction to Mediterranean cuisine. Their greatest strength lies in their almost overwhelming number of options to choose from. Additionally, their spotless interior lives up to an implied standard of cleanliness held by many Mediterranean restaurants. This was my first time at Fadi's after hearing about it from friends. I thoroughly enjoy Mediterranean food, so I was particularly excited to try this chain. To order, you can either choose a combo plate which comes with a wrap or a kebab + rice and your choice of 2-4 sides from their huge selection, which is presented in a buffet bar style that they serve to you. I picked the classic combo plate, which is 1 kebab and 2 half sides. I picked the Turkish lamb, which is a ground lamb kebab. The side selection was quite extensive, and everything looked pretty tasty. We came on a Wednesday at 2pm, so some things were in low quantity. I picked the pomegranate eggplant and Zaatar hummus. Some friends who joined did not expect the hummus to count as a side, but it does so beware. Once I got my sides and complimentary pita bread, I waited for my protein, which took 15ish minutes to be served, which felt like forever. The kebab was decent, maybe a little dry. The flavor was nothing groundbreaking but tasty for what it is. The eggplant was slightly sweet and tart from the pomegranate. The hummus was your typical hummus with some extra seasonings, like oregano. Overall, the value was decent for the amount of food. I was able to save half of my meal after becoming pretty full, but others were able to finish their plate. The interior is clean and has a modern aesthetic. The workers were friendly, but the one who took our order spoke primarily Spanish and ran into difficulty communicating when we were not ordering by the book. read more

What happened? Another reliable restaurant gone horribly wrong. We had dinner last night. It was after 7pm and not crowded inside. But the staff couldn't care less about people inside the restaurant. All focus was on take out orders. We waited and waited. They finally brought my wife's meal but mine was nowhere to be seen. I told them to keep it. The service are NOT the same at all locations. I've been eating at Fadi's for a number of years. Myerland and Westhiemer location. I've recently discovered the Museum District location. Working in the medical center, I decided to give them a try. To my disappointment; the first time was interesting. Thought it to be a "one off". Wanting something different, I went to them a second time. Shame in me. Thought I many a bad time (lunch rush), not only did I try them again, but offered lunch to a coworker. I was told when I ordered that they had sweet tea (coworkers) only to find out after checkout that they didn't have sweet tea. I was offered sugar packets. Not only did they take almost 35 minutes for a 15 min Gyro (coworkers) and my order; I had to inquire about my order as I had a meeting in less than 15 minutes. Not only was I embarrassed at what I had to bring my coworker, I barely made it to my meeting and when I did get to my food, I was so disappointed. I was charged for double sides which cost more than the dish I ordered and didn't receive "double sides" of anything. Shame on me for going back and for recommending them to someone else. read more

I stopped by Fadi's Eatery on my way to my hotel for a late lunch since I had not eaten since breakfast. Not knowing the area, one of my friends recommended this place and since I'm a fan of Mediterranean food, we made our way over. Fadi's is a quick-service spot where you can either sit and enjoy your meal or get it to go. There is a good amount of space with several seating options; decor is minimal but they have large windows looking out to the street whcih let a lot of natural light in. Upon entry we were greeted by the ordering counter and the menu; a quick skim showed several options broken out into apps, mains, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. I was feeling a wrap, and their chicken shawarma was speaking to me the most so I went with that. I noticed they had a selection of sides and thought the fries would be a good option. I opted to get my meal to go and after a short wait it was ready. The wrap was good - it was a little messy but I kinda expected that with all the sauces, but the flavor was there and the wrap didn't fall apart. The fries were good - a smidge mushy due to travel but they had a certain crisp that I like in fries. Service was fast, and overall I had a good experience at Fadi's. I do a lot of work lunches in the medical center and will always offer fadi's as my first choice. Fadi's has incredible food that can adapt to a variety of dietary restrictions. My favorite order is the chicken kabobs with 3 half sides of coriander potatoes, fadis hummus (caramelized onions and mushrooms) and Lebanese salad (cucumber salad). I also love their baklava. This location has covered parking spaces dedicated to food pickup. It does get busy at peak hours. Service is typically good and fast (kabobs will take 15-20 mins to cook but worth it). They also have a rewards system and multiple locations across Houston! read more

Compared to its Dallas counterparts, this Fadi's branch feels awfully gentrified. Its so toned down. The food options dont greet you, you don't get to see your food, and the portions are measly. The Hummus tastes like it was store bought - a far cry from the ones they make in the other branches. The service is meh, just like this place. We visited this Fadi's Eatery after spending an entire day enjoying perfect outdoor weather. The restaurant is easy to find and there is a parking garage offering plenty of spaces for patrons. The staff is very welcoming and everything is prepared to perfection. We shared the following: - Combo for 2 with chicken kabob plates - Sides: Tabouli Parsley Salad, Kale Salad, Zesty Quinoa Salad, Traditional Hummus, Roasted Cauliflower, and Baba Ganough - Rice pudding The portions are very generous. If this location is even supposed to remotely represent the OG Fadis, it is a very poor representation. We stopped in yesterday after visiting the museum. Honestly, everything was totally mediocre. Even the Chicken Shawarma was bad. Not even close to the flavor you get at the OG location. Plus more like fajita meat. So thick! The potatoes were ice cold. The salad selection is terrible and the dressing isn't even the same. An employee was on break but listening to her phone SO loud. Diet Pepsi was out in the machine and nobody filled it the entire time. The gyro was gross. Only the Kefta was good and we spent over $100 so we tried a lot of things. I always love me a quick serve counter. The sides were plenty to choose from. Enjoyed the roasted veggies, quinoa salad and hummus and I loved their garlic sauce. The falafel was dry and lacking in flavor. The lamb shank entree I'd say flavor wise was a bit bland in comparison to all the veggie sides we tasted. The kebabs were also fine. But it seems the sides really shined and the entrees kinda fall to the way side. Considering the time it takes for the entree to come out it seems a bit like a oddly timed meal. I don't know why this particular Fadi's is the only one with Eatery in the name. There is garage parking. Take your parking ticket to Fadi's cashier and he/she will validate it for you. Most of the time I get four veggie half sides. I took a star off because the avocado garbanzo salad has too much onions and red peppers. These additions overpower the salad. The tabbouli, rice and cauliflower are good. The bread is not fresh baked like it is at other Fadi's. There's water with infused fruit available in the self-serve station. Goodness gracious, Fadi's, we're big fans. It seems that a visit to Houston is not complete without carry out from Fadi's. We always order a generous bread so that everyone can try as many dishes as possible. I won't be able to remember every dish that we ordered but a few of them included the beet salad, several other salads, lamb rice dish, falafel, hummus, and more. My two favorites were the lamb rice dish and the beet salad. Admittedly, I often shy away from lamb dishes due to the game-y flavor but this one was EXCEPTIONAL. Note to self- I will definitely be prioritizing this dish the next time we order carry out here. The meat was so tender and the rice was packed with flavor as well. This is an ideal spot for carry out if you were looking for a healthy spread that includes lots of vegetables. Can't wait to continue this tradition with our next visit to Houston! The food was good. But the service was not. The lady was not helpful at all. She never asked if we wanted to pay together or separately and just added my friend's food to my bill. When I paid, she only said, 'I thought you were together.' From the beginning, she was unhelpful--from greeting customers, to assisting first-time visitors, to explaining how to order or what the restaurant's process is.
