Sandwiched between Campo and Reef Sushi just a few steps up off Sierra Street is where you will find Ole Bridge Pub. It's not a dive bar nor is it an uber high end pub. It's just a comfortable joint. They have tons a craft beers and an enjoyable yet modestly priced wine list. The bartenders are friendly. They offer a good happy hour. Unfortunately, I've only stayed for 1/2 a drink as I'm usually waiting for someone before we go to Campo or Reef. The best seat in the house are the picnic tables that look over the Truckee on the outdoor patio. They have a good sized bar. Plus pub games. The good Casual atmosphere. Nice service. Reasonably priced. The not so good It's tucked away so it's not top of mind when I'm making plans to go out. read more

Ole Bridge Pub is staple in my nights out in Reno. A great selection of beers and cocktails with friendly service and a fun location. Ole Bridge is a favorite of mine for its perpetually rotating beer list. It isn't home to the largest tap list in Reno but the taps it has rotate often enough to always leave me something new to try. They also tend to receive special shipments from Reno distributors, often finding themselves with low-distribution kegs. Service here isn't always the fastest, particularly on weekend evenings. I've never been treated anything but kind by the staff. This is one of the better places to go to receive friendly service in downtown. The patio on a warm day is one of the great places to enjoy good Reno weather. OBP is worth a visit. read more

As far as bars in Reno go, this is one of my favorites. If we're talking bars I enjoy watching sports in, it moves up a TON on the list of place-I-drink-often list. I thoroughly enjoy Ole Bridge Pub for not only their amazing beer list, but killer moscow mules, and environment. I find myself here quite a bit just enjoying the atmosphere, and suckering in guys to come here for dates, because its the perfect combination of ambiance, good beer, and quiet enough to have a conversation, but not too quiet its awkward. They do have TVs for sports and are super friendly about changing the game to something you want to watch. That includes for me if i'm being a bit of a turd living in Reno trying to watch the Rockies v. Diamondbacks game -- they're totally cool about it. I'm already looking forward to October to watch baseball here. The patio is killer as well, and overlooks the Truckee River (for you hopeless romantics, that's another perk for date night), and its proximity to other bars, and restaurants makes it for a great night out. Don't worry, after 8 pm the frat boys from the Eddy don't migrate over here, this is definitely not what I consider a "college bar" but isn't somewhere I'd be finding my parents at either. See you all there in October for some baseball, and whether or not my team is doing well or not determines the amount I'll be drinking. read more

This is totally the type of sports bar I can really get behind. It feels both hip and trendy, and like a hole in the wall at the same time. Here, they really put emphasis where it should be, on good drinks, good sports, and good company. Located downtown, right on the river, this tiny bar has a sort of Old World feel to it. Lots of hardwood, dimmer lighting, and various soccer scarves, flags, and paraphernalia hung all over. The owners are really trying to make Ole Bridge into THE place for soccer fans in Reno. Walk into this establishment on any given night, and you will likely see a soccer game on at least one of their many TVs, along with various other sporting events. I'm well aware of their support for 1868 FC and our devoted fan base, streaming away games and hosting parties for when they play here at home. I very much look forward to when organized watch parties start up again, and Ole Bridge is on the list of places. With a six televisions, a surprising number for a place this small, there isn't a bad seat in the house, be it at the bar or at the tables. If the weather's nice, be sure to go sit outside on the patio and get a great view of the water, too. The drink selection here is very impressive. On tap is more than a dozen beers, many from local and regions breweries. In addition, behind the bar are several fridge cases brimming with cans and bottles you can choose from, with styles running from IPAs, to Lagers, to Sours, to some more exotic choices. If after a couple glasses you've found something you like, you can buy some bottles or cans to-go, and they offer growlers and crowlers of most of what they have on tap. Beyond the beer, they have a full selection of wine and liquors, and some nice in-house cocktails. Personally, i think they make one of the best Moscow Mules in town, with it being so popular that they have a tap handle just for that. There's no food served, but plenty of great restaurants are strewn about close by. In fact, the location of Ole Bridge makes it an ideal stop if you are having a fun time downtown. Service here has always been amazingly friendly and attentive. The bartenders usually stay pretty on top of things, and will strike up a conversation with you if they have a chance. However, if things get really busy, as they tend to do on sporting nights, then they are really upping their game to cater to all the folks crowding in. As far as actual downsides go, there are only a few. As mentioned before, the small, confined size can make things get quite crowded and noisy if there's a popular game on. For parking, there are couple some street space right by the building, but you are otherwise limited to the parking garages unless you want to walk a little ways. This isn't too bad, though, as they will validate your ticket for two free hours. And lastly, the restrooms are tiny, one-person at a time setups, so lines can very easily form. All things said, though, this is one of my favorite watering holes in town. I have been coming here off and on for years, and I certainly look forward to continuing to stop by for the Olympics, for soccer season, and just for when I want to chill by the river. Ole Bridge Pub is the best location in Reno, Nevada to watch soccer games at, especially International games during the World Cup. There is a great variety of unique microbrews to choose from. During the summer you can enjoy a beer or your favorite mixed cocktail while hanging out on the patio that overlooks the Truckee River. They do allow dogs on the patio if you want to bring your furry friend. Ed is the general manager there and he is most always available to talk when he is there while you enjoy your beer. This is a happening place on a Friday night. There is a good selection of on tab micro-brews to include not only beer, but one cider was also on tap. The music was load and they had several big screen tv's showing current sporting events. A very unpretentious and casual place that still felt a little hip. They usually have a pretty decent selection of beers, but the service really sucks. Went in today with a friend. There were two bartenders, a male and female. The guy was friendly enough, but the female had a major attitude, rolling her eyes and acting put out when we asked her for a beer. The bar was less than half full, not busy at all, this girl just didn't want to do her job. They have shuffle board and darts, and most importantly, an outdoor seating area right on the river. The only reason we came here was for the shuffleboard table. It's a pretty nice one, actually. Some places that claim to have a shuffleboard table actually feature a piece of plywood with some legs underneath and sand thrown on top - that was not the case here. The drinks were decently priced, and since the place is relatively newly everything is clean and nice, which is big in my book. It's not a huge place, but it's a nice little pub to stop by on your downtown bar hopping experience. Oh yeah, and the shuffleboard was free, and most places charge, so that was a plus. read more

I still haven't figured out what bridge they are referring to. This is my favorite bar in Reno during the summer. They have an awesome selection of craft brews. Lots of bottles and a rotating tap. Prices are comparable to similar places, though knocking a dollar off across the board wouldn't be a bad idea, unless of course you own the place. The outdoor seating alon the river is very nice - perfect for kicking back with some friends and drinking tasty beers. Reno ought to get some river-drinking legislation drawn up because it would be awesome to take one of their beers for a walk along the river. Not in a romantic way or anything. They have stocked themselves an attractive, young staff. They are much nicer than the douchedom that makes up the bartenders at St. James. They would likely be much better to take on a walk along the river than the beer, or maybe you can have beers and walk the river together. They probably get a discount too. They have shuffleboard which is quite fun as well. If you're counting, that's five sentences in a row starting with the word they. It's like I forgot everything I learned in English 101. Unfortunately during winter hours the outdoor seating is unavailable/undesireable and the pub itself is quite small. And then of course you have to factor in the ridiculously loud music. It's not a club and I don't go to bars to discover new music. And if you recall from my North Beach review, raising my voice makes me much less suave. Happy hour discounts apply only to wine bottles and pitchers. That's kind of lame. Sometimes people like to go to bars alone, you know. Especially during happy hour! If I drink a pitcher by myself I'm just going to feel worse about drinking alone. That is not a happy hour for me. So the conclusion is bring some friends and enjoy some great beer along the river. 4 stars during summer, 3 during winter. read more

Cute pub with a great riverfront location. There was only one bartender working on a Friday (which I've heard is the norm) and he was slow as molasses. There's a small dartboard and shuffleboard table, which adds to the attraction. Drinks were good (once we got them) and they had a decent selection of beer. Around 8pm, the place started getting more crowded, and it was literally 100 degrees in there. I'm not sure if they were trying turn the place into an oven so we'd all pop out like gingerbread men, but I couldn't hang any longer. Wish list: More bartenders, faster service, better ventilation. We love Ole Bridge. We've been going for years to get delicious beers and excellent cocktails. I love playing shuffle board, darts, or just sitting out on the patio overlooking the river. They've made great efforts to put TV's outside for popular sporting events like the world cup, although those TV's are not always out there, it's really nice during those seasons. Bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable which is appreciated as several of us are "beer snobs" and really like variety, quality, and trying new micros. A true testament for a beer drinker is definitely a CLEAN glass. Never had a dirty pint handed to me as I have at other places in Reno. We love to take our doxie with us and enjoy a cool drink outside. read more

No one too snooty, not a bro I mean bruh fest, and small hipster vibe. The happy hour is a $2 off so stop by for the discount. Selection as others have stated is great, just be prepared to shell out some cash for hard to find brews, on the flip side great choice in every price range. They have started showing soccer matches witch never interested me but the environment they created with this is pretty fun. Parking sucks but the patio overlooks the river (are we still calling the Truckee a river?) and is a good view to sip a cocktail for sure. Stopped in here on saturday night and it wasn't too crowded inside. I really like the location and the fact that they have outdoor seating. The outdoor seating was full at the time of my visit. Their beer selection was quite large which made me wonder why they didn't have Newcastle. The service was a step above poor. Both bartenders were more worried about watching the olympics than serving me a drink.
