Six Shooter Breakfast Plate
Chuck L.

First time here & holy cow. Portions are massive, service is very warm & hospitable and the kitchen is QUICK! I'm not in the area often, but will make this stop each time I drive through. If you're hungry and wanting a warm diner feel, this is your place. I ordered the Six Shooter: 2 eggs, biscuits & gravy, has brown casserole and chicken fried chicken. Couldn't finish even half of it, even though it was delicious.

Omelets for the win. They both come with two sides. We upgraded one of our sides to a cinnamon flapjack and it was totally worth it.

"This place is never not busy." As I was told by by a local dentonite, and they were right. This place was absolutely packed to the brim of people enjoying brunch. I totally thought we were destined to wait a crazy long time. However, since it was just a small two top we were seated immediately. Their menu is definitely intimidating and they even have a coffee menu that is two-sided. All I can say is the food is absolutely delicious and totally worth the wait. The portion sizes are huge so if you get an omelette you will not finish it. The flapjack was cinnamon crunch and it was amazing and did not need syrup. The coffee was also absolutely delicious. This was my one meal for the day and I was still full the next day.

Food is good, although not always consistent. Service always amazing. Brunch during the early hours gets really busy. Expect to wait at least 30 mins during the popular times. This is an extremely large area. Staff has always been kind.

Eggs, hash brown casserole and English muffin with Chicken fried chicken. Delish!

Typically go to Old West in Grapevine. Tried Denton location for first time. Old West is the best breakfast place in DFW! Be prepared to wait but worth it. Never disappointed.

Had a lovely experience here this weekend for brunch. It was a busy Sunday for sure with several families ahead of us but we only needed to wait 25 to 30 minutes for a table. The server was very friendly and answered all of our questions promptly. He moved with urgency and got us all that we needed! The food itself was delicious and there is plenty to choose from since their menu is massive. Each item was also decently priced for how much food you get. Restaurant dining area was clean but the bathroom could definitely be better as there was paper towels and toilet paper all over the floor.

Old West Cafe is a favorite place to go to for brunch. The food is always excellent and the service as well.

Wow, I really did step back in time! Great prices for great food.

This is simple! Come here order food and be happy! Great portions, great prices, delicious food, well staffed and amazing service. I ordered a breakfast burrito which comes with 4 choices of ingredients as you can see I ordered 8 for an additional $3.00. I do recommend the hash brown casserole which was very affordable! I am stuffed in a good way, my taste buds are satisfied and if I lived in Denton this would be my go to place. Victoria rocked the service! The only downside was the knucklehead at the table across from me watching a video without headphones.

First time here. Food was delicious VERY generous portions! We got the Curly Wolf scramble- layered meal- ham steak on the bottom, large biscuit split in half, scrambled eggs with cheese, 2 sausage patties, gravy, fried potatoes around the sides, white queso drizzled on top, 2 pieces of bacon! Omg huge! Enough for 4 people and so good! We also got the white chocolate pumpkin spice pancake... also huge Ada big as the plate. Delicious as well. We went Saturday morning around 7:30 no line or wait. Service was great! Very fast! Paige was our server. Definitely going back.

Vaquero skillet menu description

The only reason this isn't 4 stars is because of the attitudes we were "greeted" with...your hostess team needs to be friendly and engaging. The entrance and waiting areas could be better, not easy for disabled folks. Luckily, our waitress was very good. Now, onto the food. We had chicken fried chicken, the vaquero skillet, the coosies skillet and of course shared a buttermilk pancake. The chicken fried chicken was very good and "one of the best" he's had. The vaqueros skillet was very good, those potato's are really good!! The salsa was very fresh tasting as well. The coosies skillet had fluffy biscuits and the gravy was really good. The pancake was just a pancake, kind of stick to the plate but it was still tasty. We were very pleased with the food overall. Again, our waitress was great. Ambiance was fine, casual and easy going. Just kind of rustic but comfortable once seated. Felt congested at the front and you're not allowed to stand there, which is no big deal for most, when it is conveyed in a hospitable manner. There isn't a lot of waiting room if it's raining and cold.,.fyi. Great coffee!

The food here was so good. I can't wait to come back and try something sweet next time. I was eyeing everyone's French toast and pancake stacks haha. I like how many sides you have to choose from on their menu. There something for everyone here. The restaurant is clean and the staff are friendly and attentive. I never felt rushed to leave. We sat and finished our coffee and just enjoyed the ambiance. I will definitely be back and bring my daughter who loves French toast and pancakes!

We started things off right with chips, jalapeño ranch dip, and queso, which is honestly the only proper way to begin a Chuy's visit. The queso was warm, creamy, and exactly what my soul needed, and the chips with that jalapeño ranch were the cherry on top. Speaking of cherries, we also got the Tito's cherry limeade, and it was the spring we didn't know we needed to bounce. Crisp, cold, a little dangerous in the cutest way, and honestly adorable -- the perfect little kick to start the meal. Our waiter was top notch: kind, attentive, and somehow always there right when we needed something without ever hovering. That kind of service makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. For food, we ordered the Baja shrimp tacos, and when I say the shrimp is BIG, I mean it (and no, we're definitely not out here flattering any men ). The shrimp was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and absolutely the star of the plate. They came with rice and beans, and even though I forgot to ask for the cilantro lime rice , I was still super happy with everything. We also got the steak fajita Tex-Mex burrito bowl, and every single bite just kept getting better. The steak was tender, packed with flavor, and once it all got mixed together with the salsa and scooped up on the crispy tostada, it was perfection. This meal was such a good reminder of why Chuy's became a favorite for me in the first place -- fun atmosphere, great food, amazing service, and one of those dinners that just hits from the first chip to the last bite.

We came here with a group, and the whole setup worked really well for just sitting around, talking, and having a good time. I probably wouldn't come here absolutely starving though. A lot of the menu is smaller dishes and à la carte items, so it's more of a place to grab some food while you're having drinks and hanging out. I had the beef birria taco plate with rice and beans, and it was enough to fill me up, but I definitely wasn't stuffed afterward. The chips and salsa were really good. The salsa has a decent kick to it, but apparently not enough to slow me down because I went through two baskets of chips and two ramekins of salsa. Our server was great. She checked on us regularly, made sure we had everything we needed, and kept the drinks from sitting empty for long. The atmosphere was probably my favorite part. They have regular tables and chairs, but also couches and comfy chairs, so it's easy to settle in and stay awhile without feeling rushed. Overall, Wild Cactus is a great place for some drinks, good conversation, and a little food along the way. Just don't show up expecting a giant dinner.
