Best to make a reservation because it seems that they have many regulars.

The only place I have used for 15 years is Old Town Nails!! I have always been treated with respect and patience. Even though I may change my mind five times on what color I want, no one rushes me. Prior to Old Town Nails, the pain in my big toes was unbearable. Turns out the salons I was paying top $$$ were cutting my toe nails incorrect. This was causing my pain when they grew out. I have NEVER had a problem with my toes since going to this salon. If I had a dime for every compliment I've received in 15 years on my nails, I would be rich! I've done acrylic, regular and gel manicure. My next time in, I am trying one of the Ombre colors for my first time. I also can't count the times I was in a hurry, NOT them, and rushed out the door and messed something. I felt horrible going back in. No one ever told me they would not fix what I messed. It was fixed right away! I am constantly referring people to Old Town Nails. I do not refer people if I don't love a place. Ever! I have to stress this......NEVER once in 15 years have I had an infection. Why do people write such nasty lies in these reviews?!?!! I believe someone pays them to do it. This place is clean all the time. The nail utensils are sterilized with the same equipment I see at dentist offices. They have done my nails for both my marriages, countless holidays, vacations, etc. After spending 27 years in Chicago, I now live 1.5 hours away. I STILL drive to the city every two weeks. I run all my errands and of course this nail salon is my first stop. I would not drive 1.5 hours ONE way for a mani/pedi if it wasn't the best I could find. Every word of this is the truth and no one paid me to write it. These hare hard working, honest women, who will treat you right. The owner feels like family to me after 15 years and I'm thankful I found Old Town Nails. Highly recommend all services! read more

I LOVE Old Town Nails. I have been a customer for over 20 years and even plan my vacations around my manicure pedicure schedule because I will NEVER go anywhere else! I used to take my daughter as a little girl and now she goes every other week! Every technicican is a perfectionist and true professional! Not only is the shop upscale, CLEAN, and beautiful but the owner (who works 7 days a week to ensure quality control) CONSTANTLY strives (and always succeeds) in having the newest colors, options and magazines (yay) for her cherished customers. Every time you walk in the door, someone ALWAYS says, "Hello" and when you leave, someone ALWAYS says, "Goodbye and thank you!" I have never seen a shop so concerned with sanitation and quality control and it shows, They are constantly busy yet you never have to wait. Most of the technicians have been working there since the shop opened so that shows how stable the shop is. My nails are always PERFECT and stay that way for 2 weeks. I can even go 3 weeks easily but I can't because I always need my Old Town Nails fix! 10 years later to this day, I still and always get compliments on my perfect manicure and pedicure. Thank you so much to Chou the owner and her great team of nail technicians for accommodating my always last min appointment request. Especially last time when Chou was so nice and stayed an hour later after closing time, to make sure I had my perfect manicure and Jane that gives the best pedicures for my vacation I was leaving for the next day. This is more then just a nail salon, after all these years, it's nice to know you can always count on their great service, availability and friendship. In addition, Chou always makes sure that not only her regular clients leave happy, but also walk in's do too. She always has an eye on each client to assure that everyone is satisfied with their service provided by all her nail technician. ***NAIL FUNGUS *** ***NAIL FUNGUS*** I have been here several times, the place was recommended by my best friend, I also ran into someone I went to high school with (small world) I never had an issue with the place before until recently. I did/do an SNS Dip Powder manicures sort of like a no-chip but faster, more expensive and healthier. I did the color white and noticed as my nails got older there was a bruise on my fingernail underneath the color. Once the dip was removed that bruise ended up turning green and spreading to my other nails. I went to the doctor and turns out I have a nail fungus, the tools that were used on me was not "clean" apparently. I would not recommend going to this place, it usually packed with people and they probably were so overwhelmed and forgot to clean their tools. Wonderful place to get your nails done! I've been going here consistently for years. They take their time, attention to detail, friendly, clean, and responsible. When I get a dip done for example it could last for 4 weeks easily looking perfect, except for I get it changed every 3 weeks because the outgrowth starts to annoy me. But my point is, OTN does such a great job that their work last for a long time. I love Old Town Nails! I have been going for almost a year now and I can happily say that all of the staff is amazing! I normally get a solid color for dip nails, but this time I decided to get an ombré dip. Lana did such an amazing job! I couldn't be MORE pleased! If you haven't gone to this location for some pampering... go now! You won't regret it! I would recommend calling ahead to get a seat, but they do also except walk ins. This is my absolute favorite nail salon. It is always clean and they use top of the line products- especially love that they use LED lights not UVA for gel. I always get gel manicures/pedicures and they look great every time and last so long! With most other nails salons my nails would start peeling after a few days, but they last a full two weeks and even longer here. 100% recommend!! read more

Place is okay. They seemed rushed but aren't they all? I feel like some of the colors were old looking and had crust on the edges which is just gross. I did like my final result - however she pulled a bit more skin than I'd like and now one of my fingers is red and in pain. Again it's still pretty typical of most places.
