Be prepared to be overcharged. I came here because my usual nail lady was unavailable. I was charged $10 on top of my service just for them to take off the no chip polish that was on my nails. I've never heard of polish removal not being included in the service. I got no chip manicure with white chrome. The woman doing my nails was unable to give me the shape I asked for (almond with a slight point). She gave me oval instead. She did a great job shaping and painting but after tip paid $93! I've been to this nail salon a few times and while my nails never looked amazing when leaving, they were good enough. The location is convenient to me and it's very clean and has a nice ambiance, so I have been of the mindset of as long as my nails don't look awful after service then I'll continue going here. Until today. I booked an appointment for a regular manicure in the middle of the afternoon and was literally the only customer in the place. So you would think the nail technician would take her time with me and make sure everything was great (because why rush if there are no other customers?), but she didn't. She seemed in a hurry for some reason. I told her at the start that I have a lot of skin around my nails and my cuticles were really bad so I wanted her to take time making sure she got rid of all that. She did a really poor job sadly. She also didn't do the hand/arm massage that every other nail salon does during a manicure. I asked her about it and she just shrugged her shoulders. Of course she asked me to pay before putting on the polish, which is usually fine with me but in this case it wasn't because I still tipped 20% and my nails look awful. The polish is bubbly and there is extra skin/hangnails all over. She also charged me more than the price listed on the salon's website, which is very frustrating. However, I went back yesterday for my removal and to hopefully utilize my 3 weeks of growth into an almond shaped no chip mani The tech cut back all my length on the 1st hand and I ended up with short blunt nails (she seemed like she was attempting almond? But I didn't notice how bad it was until she finished the right hand). When she got to the left, I requested asymmetry by leaving my left nails longer, and reiterated my request for an ALMOND shape. I scheduled a 6:45pm appointment and patiently waited until 7:10 for them to tell me it was going to be another 10 minutes. The girl who I shared my frustration with that worked there looked over at someone else and said "she's clearly unhappy".. super unprofessional. I called ahead to make sure my special nail requests could be met when I made the appointment the day before. When I got there for my appointment they were unable to fulfill any of my basic requests (polish type and pink french tips - not a difficult ask IMO) and were actually unapologetic about it.
