A neighborhood favorite, Old Town Caffe is one of those spots that you think about often. Opening early with indoor and outdoor seating, this spot has plenty of seating to accommodate any group. I had an excellent dining experience, ordering their special French toast with eggs. I opted for scrambled. The presentation was amazing and the staff are sweet. I love how extensive their drink and coffee menu is. I'll definitely be back. Parking is plentiful in the back.
Stumbled upon this place on a whim after an early morning walk and it was great! I got an iced banana matcha with oat milk and the breakfast burrito with no adjustments. The place was busy during Saturday early morning and it seemed to stay consistently busy. The three of us waited around 20 minutes to be seated. There was some indoor seating, as well as outdoor patio seating. Everything in the burrito tasted sooo fresh and the chili mayo sauce that came with it complimented it well. I would come back for the burrito for sure. The matcha wasn't the best I've ever had (however everyone has their own preference). However, as a banana lover, I liked how the drink had actual banana puree and the taste was prevalent.
Absolutely loved Old Town Caffe! The food was delicious, fresh, and made with care. The croissant egg and sausage sandwich was a standout--the croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery, and the sandwich was so satisfying. The French toast was delicious and perfectly sweet, and the açaí bowl was fresh, refreshing, and loaded with great toppings. What made the experience even better was the amazing service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and creating a great experience.
Date of visit: May 8, 2026 Selections: Lechera Waffle Chilaquiles Verdes Experience: I was craving waffles and decided to give this place a try after scrolling through the DoorDash app. This place drew me in because they offered chilaquiles too, so I got an order of lechera waffles and their chilaquiles verdes. The delivery took about 50 minutes to get to me after ordering and I was a bit nervous about how soggy both would be, especially the chilaquiles since I like when the chips are mostly hard still. I was pleasantly surprised and thankful that the salsa for the chilaquiles came on the side and though the waffle wasn't as crispy as I thought it would be, it was thick and fluffy and tasted great with the toppings. The salsa for the chilaquiles had a kick to them that I enjoyed and it went great with the cheese, red onions, and sunny side egg that came with it. I definitely would want to check this place out in person and try their other options as well!
Cute!!!! Stopped here for a nourishing meal before spending the day walking around the Pasadena convention center, and this was absolutely the right move. This little space was packed with a line to order and that told me everything I needed to know. I unknowingly ordered the largest Matcha beverage I have ever attempted to drink and it was so very perfect. I dream about this. The food was fresh and hearty, and I'm ashamed to say I didn't even eat it all.. This small café is a hidden gem and will be my new pre-convention center tradition!
Staff was very friendly . You order inside an if you choose to eat there they bring the food to you. Got the breakfast burrito with turkey bacon , it was good but nothing extraordinary . That's all I got , but they seemed to have a lot of yummy drinks.
Delicious brunch option that I wish I knew about earlier!! Old Town Caffe is both a low-key and popular, affordable option for brunch with super nice staff. The serving sizes were huge-great for sharing! The Caesar salad wrap and waffle slices were delicious! Those waffles were the best I've had in SoCal. I loved the London Fog too; they make the best version! Came on a Thursday morning at 9 am and was able to get a table for 2 without a wait. The rush starts picking up around 10 am.
A total gem with delicious food because of high quality ingredients. Breakfast burrito has potatoes and avo in it and the tortilla is grilled so it's crispy. Mouthwatering satisfaction!!! And the aioli dip is a great match. I had my doubts coming here because it looked like a regular boring diner but it's exceptional in the freshness. The breakfast sando is also on quality toast with both ham and bacon; the whole sandwich is well balanced with all the ingredients. Kids meal options are also great. Got a breakfast burrito for the kid and it comes with a lot of fruit which the kid loved. This is a special place! It's not super spacious and often packed, so come prepared! Counter order and then the staff brings plates to your table. There's outdoor swating. Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of a plaza. So unassuming. Parking is off Mentor, up a ramp, if you're lucky.
Fantastic breakfast/brunch spot in Pasadena! The location might be easy to miss, but it's located upstairs on the 2nd floor of a plaza above hummus labs and Chams. It has the Urth Cafe vibe- similar food options but also American breakfast offerings like eggs, toast, and bacon/sausage. I had chicken quesadilla for breakfast and loved it. Also really love that they can make an Iced cortado.
I went with a friend to Old Town caffe. The cafe is located in the second floor. There is a small adjacent parking lot. We came early in the morning and so we had no trouble finding parking spots. The cafe has a lot of indoor seating. It was clean and had cozy vibes. Their menu includes: breakfast burrito, egg croissants, ham & cheese Croissant, breakfast bagels, salmon scrambled, breakfast sandwiches, Chilaquiles, different types of waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, wraps, salads, vegan options, and more. They have a special menu for kids. In addition, they have fresh drinks, smoothies, lemonades, ice tea, latte, variety of coffee options ,and shakes. I got their chicken sausage burrito. The food was delicious and the portion was huge. My friend ordered a matcha latte and Huevos A La Mexicana. It had scrambled eggs, tomatoes, onion, with sides of potatoes and bread. We both enjoyed our breakfast. The service was very fast. The staff were nice and welcoming. It is a nice cafe to stop by and have a delicious breakfast or lunch. Would definitely come back!
I had breakfast this morning here and it was my first time visiting. I ordered a large coffee and a breakfast burrito. I ordered my burrito with chicken sausage. It was a beautiful morning so I sat outside overlooking Colorado Blvd. I ordered and paid for my food inside. The staff was friendly. As I sat at a table my coffee was brought outside. The coffee that they brew was good. I only had to wait about 10 minutes for my burrito and when my burrito was brought to the table it looked great. They cut it in half and it came with a aioli dipping sauce. The chicken sausage was absolutely delicious and juicy. The potatoes were cooked to perfection. The potatoes were nice and crispy on the sides so when I bit into the burrito they was a nice crunch with each bit. There was also guacamole, cheese, pico de gallo and black beans inside. The aioli sauce had a subtle heat element and really made the burrito pop with flavor. I was presently surprised on my first visit and asked myself why I did not visit them earlier. I look forward to many more weekend breakfasts here.
One of my favorite brunch places in Pasadena! Small hole in the wall, located in a plaza on the second floor. It's not normally busy since it's tucked away but I hear it can get busy Sunday mornings after church. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, especially with my toddler. The interior is on the smaller side but there is also seating on the patio. Surprisingly, the food is amazing here. You honestly can't go wrong with anything you order, and the portions are huge! Their coffee is always good, as well. I love taking friends and family whenever they visit our area!
Came here over the holidays for a gf's bday brunch. It was busy, but we were able to snag a table within 10 mins. since there seems to be a constant flow of people coming and going. I've eaten at the Indian place next door and never realized there was a brunch place right next door! Overall, a decent brunch place. Some dishes are hit-or-miss for me personally, but I would come back to try more. My group all ordered different coffees/lattes and I loved my latte art. I think we all enjoyed our beverage selections. I had the Vanilla Latte, and the others ordered the Horchata Latte and House Mocha. -Cinnamon Bun (warmed), was standard & good. Shareable size. -Breakfast Burrito, comes with a spicy mayo dip? The gf who ordered asked for salsa verde on the side. She seemed to enjoy it & was able to save the other half for later. -French Toast Combo, very large portion and the gf who ordered this seemed to enjoy it. -Huevos a la mexicana, I would not add chicken next time. It was okay. I didn't particularly like this dish. -Chilaquiles Verdes, I guess they asked if we wanted to add protein/meat to every dish (it does cost extra!). This one would've been fine without it, but we got Chorizo and it was good as well. They have a small restroom available through the back of the kitchen. Service & staff are all friendly. This is an order at the front & pay first place, but they will seat you at a table first so you can look over the menu and then ask you where you are sitting and bring out your food. Parking lot is available around back, but I'm not sure if you have to pay during brunch hours. Otherwise you can try you luck finding street parking (maybe on Green) & if it's Sunday you don't have to worry about the time limit =)
We went here for breakfast one morning while visiting Pasadena and it was extremely busy! It took a VERY long time between ordering and receiving our food, however, once receiving it, the portions and quality of food was great! We ordered an iced white mocha and iced latte (which also took a long time to come out), and they were just okay, not something I would order again. We then had the egg avocado toast and breakfast burrito and like I said, both portions were massive (I think we both only ate half of each dish), but they were really tasty and clearly very fresh. read more

Let me tell you that this place serves one of the best lattes around LA!!! We came from a long hike and were looking for a good cafe spot, we saw that this place had good reviews so we decided to come here very last minute, I will say because it was a weekend it was very packed so we had to wait for a good amount of time but the food and drinks really made it worth it! We tried a different arrangement of lattes (all iced) and we can confidently say all of them were great especially the mazapan latte!!!!! Pancakes were crispy and delicious and for the burrito very flavorful and tasty it didn't really require any sauce! For the Custom omelette it was also very well seasoned, my only real criticism for the place was its wait time and how hidden the actual spot is (its in the second floor) but other than that definitely come here!! :)) read more
Awesome place for brunch! Lots of seating, both inside and out. Was seated as quick as possible with a full restaurant, and food came fast! And sooooo yum. Lowkey best breakfast burrito (I had it with chicken and no potatoes). Also shared a sweet crepe with my friend and it was bussin!! Their drinks were also so good. We came here early Sunday morning after a yoga class nearby. Small venue, family style service. Quaint atmosphere. We ordered the breakfast burrito with chicken sausage and a bowl of fruit. Ordered a latte and pressed Jasmine tea. Ok the burrito was amazinnnng! I wouldn't get it again. Something about the avocado! It was just filling and I only ate half. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Old Caffe Pasadena, and I can confidently say it lived up to the hype. With its outstanding reviews on both Yelp and Google (4.8 stars!), it was clear that this place was well-loved by the local community--and after my visit, I can totally understand why. They have an amazing selection of burritos, acai, and matcha! I opted for the Salmon Avocado Toast and the Plain Breakfast Burrito, and both were absolutely delicious. Let's start with the Salmon Avocado Toast. The bread was super toasted, but in the best way possible--crispy and golden on the outside, while still soft and warm on the inside. It had this perfect crunch that made each bite so satisfying. The salmon and avocado were packed with flavor, and the combination just worked perfectly. The avocado was creamy and fresh, and the salmon had a lovely, smoky depth that elevated the whole dish. It was a vibrant, filling, and light option that definitely stood out as a fantastic choice for brunch. Next, I tried the Plain Breakfast Burrito, and I have to admit, I was blown away. Great new coffee spot in Pasadena located on second floor of shopping center (old mon Cheri location) containing a lot of great food places. Breakfast, coffee, and pastries plus burritos and sandwiches. Friendly service. Free WiFi. Some patio seating too. Only downside it's a little noisy for indoor seatings since the space is not too big but always busy! read more

What a hidden gem! The food is AMAZING... the drinks are delicious too! We had the chicken caprese, waffle combo, and a kid's ham grilled cheese. We drank matcha strawberry, iced coffee, and mango lemonade. Everything we tried was delish! The staff are very kind and helpful. The restaurant is very clean and has free WiFi. Excellent brunch place. I ordered the waffle combo which came with fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon. The waffle was firm and had a satisfying texture-- not too hard, nor fluffy, just right. I also had a London fog with oat milk which was perfect for the rare rainy SoCal Day. My friend had the vegan breakfast burrito and a hot chocolate. I was very pleased with the presentation and quality of the meal. It's nice to have an another option that caters to herbivores and omnivores to add to the brunch rotation. Service was friendly, but the seats were not the most comfortable and I felt a little cramped. It would be hard to fit a larger group here, but perfect smaller groups in the area. I'm so glad we discovered this place on our little Pasadena getaway. Walking distance from the Pasadena Hotel. We were looking for good coffee but wanted more than just pastries for breakfast. Old Town Caffe had a full menu so we gave it a shot. At first I was nervous because the menu was almost too big. However the coffee choices looked great and the prices were reasonable. Service was above and beyond! Staff was friendly and informative without being overbearing. I had a breakfast burrito and my husband had the American breakfast. This burrito could have fed us both! It was soooo good. The fresh guacamole was my favorite part. Perfect mix of flavors. I ordered a coconut latte and my partner a cappuccino. WOW! Whoever is doing the coffee is a PRO! Tell me Lies tell me sweet little Lies! Tell me tell me tell me Lies! Oh no,no you can't disguise, so tell me lies. If you or your coworkers cannot do latte art then just say so and please don't try to fool me by saying everyone in the shop can. If I were to post what presented to me I'm sure it would break my phone screen. Anyways, I also ordered my turmeric latte with oat milk. So ask me how I know it wasn't oat milk? Well let's see or should I say hear! LoL! I'm sure you get what I'm trying to say. So we ordered a couple of the local favorites which were the breakfast burrito and waffles. The waffles were decent but I did not get to try the burrito since I was already in gas mode and had to get out of there! We also ordered the matcha latte which was pretty ok. The service was friendly and I can see why the locals love this place since it gets pretty packed for the breakfast rush. The atmosphere is true to its name, Old Town vibes for sure. I chose this place for me and the Rockstar to visit because of their crazy cool latte artwork. With lots of rave reviews, I was excited for their food as well. Located in a plaza on the second level, I knew this place can get packed very quickly so we decided to come here before they opened. Decor-wise, it looked like the tables and chairs have seen its heyday. Here is what we ordered: - Breakfast Burrito w/Chicken Sausage (popular) - Lechera Waffle w/Bananas & Strawberries - Golden Milk Latte - Matcha Latte w/Oat I went up to the counter hoping to take pics of the latte art being created but I didn't have a good vantage point. The young lady told me that all the staff members know how to do it. They even frame some of their creations on the wall. I have to say both the Rockstar and I were hugely disappointed. So much so that we couldn't even make out what the image was on his Golden Latte. Leonard even said I was starting to make up images when I said I could kind of see a fox (see pic attached). The Rockstar was not happy (stay tune for his review). For that I am deducting a star. As for the food, I have to be honest and say it was delicious. No complaints. Leonard said he has had much better waffles but the way he was eating it all up said otherwise. Lol. Still glad I got to hit up this hidden brunch spot. Whoever has the gifted artistic talent, that barista was not there that morning! For fun...let me know in the compliments if you can make out the image. read more

Old Town Caffe is local breakfast, brunch and coffee spot. They are located along E. Colorado blvd in Pasadena. Their menu features an array of delightful dishes and big portions with artistic presentation. Its interior decor was modest with relaxing vibe. Staff were polite, affable and professional. Prices were economically reasonable. We end up ordering a green juice, cafe de olla and a french toast combo. Drinks were great as well as the food. Visitors can park on its rear parking structure and/or street parking. Overall, I enjoyed their breakfast and drinks. I recommend this caffe. read more

Cute little cafe, food was so good. They have a lot of options. The cafe and parking are both on the second floor, very easily accessible. There's inside seating, and outside seating as well. Staff were nice, you order in front. Variety of drink from coffee, to smoothies, to milkshakes, tried the vanilla latte and it was soo good! We wanted breakfast so we ordered that but the lunch options looked so yummy as well. Fruit was fresh. Definitely worth a try. read more
This little cafe is hidden upstairs and and the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating but there is also outside seating. You order at the counter first before sitting down and the food came pretty quick. The portions are a good size and is more affordable compared to other cafes. However, the sunny side up eggs on the egg avocado toast was not cooked thoroughly. I love a runny egg yolk but most of the egg white was still raw making it difficult to eat. The toast was also untoasted considering that it was supposed to be a "toast". Since it was untoasted, it was hard to eat and pick up and it got soggy immediately. I would not get the egg avocado toast again but I am willing to try other items on the menu. read more

We came to Old Town Caffe to grab some brunch before the doctor's appointment and we were happy with our selections. Old Town Caffe is located in a plaza with a shared parking lot with other establishments. Once we parked we then had to walk up the stairs and the restaurant is located to the left. As you walk up the stairs, keep in mind of the door located at the top of the stairs. FYI, there is no public restroom for those who just need to use the bathroom. In another word, it's only for customers. If you need to use the restroom you have to walk outside of the restaurant and towards the stairs. The door is on the right and it's through the kitchen. Interior: there were about 10 tables inside, is a very small, cozy spot. Exterior: there were about 8 tables outside, in case you want to enjoy the fresh air. Staff were nice and we waited a while for our food since it started to get a little busy after we had placed our order. We were pleased with the dishes we ordered. Fresh and flavorful. Love the drinks. Food: bacon and ham wrap and it's served with a side of fruits-$13.75, French toast combo (eggs of choice, bacon, French toast with strawberries and blueberries)-$14.50 Drinks: horchata blended espresso-$6.25, and red juice (carrot, apple, beet, and lemon)-$8 I would return to try other dishes! read more

Really enjoyed our brunch here, it was a small and busy joint but the food was great. We got a breakfast burrito, potatoes, waffles, apple juice and a chai latte. The food was great and flavorful. I loved the breakfast burrito and the sauce that came with it. My family loved all of their breakfasts and it was a generous serving for all the plates. The apple juice was interesting as it was freshly juiced and not strained. It tasted fresh and didn't have any added sugar it seemed, but would've loved if it was strained as the texture and foam were a bit weird. The chai was alright, it tasted like a chai mix rather than a freshly made latte which was a little disappointing as it was pricey. But the food was overall really yummy. read more
