Excellent brunch place. I ordered the waffle combo which came with fresh fruit, eggs, and bacon. The waffle was firm and had a satisfying texture-- not too hard, nor fluffy, just right. I also had a London fog with oat milk which was perfect for the rare rainy SoCal Day. My friend had the vegan breakfast burrito and a hot chocolate. I was very pleased with the presentation and quality of the meal. It's nice to have an another option that caters to herbivores and omnivores to add to the brunch rotation. Service was friendly, but the seats were not the most comfortable and I felt a little cramped. It would be hard to fit a larger group here, but perfect smaller groups in the area. It wasn't until I arrived that they realized I'd been there before. Good last time and delicious this time, too. I had pancakes w/fruit, eggs, bacon, honey turmeric latte, and hibiscus tea. I easily found a table outside and didn't mind the wait which wasn't, too long. 20 minutes I think. My drinks were brought out first so that was great to tone down my hunger. Despite being a hot day, the trees provided shade and there was a slight breeze. When I'm in Pasadena again and need breakfast, I'll definitely remember to come here. read more

The young lady told me that all the staff members know how to do it. They even frame some of their creations on the wall. I have to say both the Rockstar and I were hugely disappointed. So much so that we couldn't even make out what the image was on his Golden Latte. Leonard even said I was starting to make up images when I said I could kind of see a fox (see pic attached). The Rockstar was not happy (stay tune for his review). For that I am deducting a star. As for the food, I have to be honest and say it was delicious. No complaints. This little cafe is hidden upstairs and and the restaurant itself is pretty small with limited seating but there is also outside seating. You order at the counter first before sitting down and the food came pretty quick. The portions are a good size and is more affordable compared to other cafes. However, the sunny side up eggs on the egg avocado toast was not cooked thoroughly. I love a runny egg yolk but most of the egg white was still raw making it difficult to eat. The toast was also untoasted considering that it was supposed to be a "toast". Since it was untoasted, it was hard to eat and pick up and it got soggy immediately. I would not get the egg avocado toast again but I am willing to try other items on the menu. read more

We came to Old Town Caffe to grab some brunch before the doctor's appointment and we were happy with our selections. Old Town Caffe is located in a plaza with a shared parking lot with other establishments. Once we parked we then had to walk up the stairs and the restaurant is located to the left. As you walk up the stairs, keep in mind of the door located at the top of the stairs. FYI, there is no public restroom for those who just need to use the bathroom. In another word, it's only for customers. If you need to use the restroom you have to walk outside of the restaurant and towards the stairs. The door is on the right and it's through the kitchen. Interior: there were about 10 tables inside, is a very small, cozy spot. Exterior: there were about 8 tables outside, in case you want to enjoy the fresh air. Staff were nice and we waited a while for our food since it started to get a little busy after we had placed our order. We were pleased with the dishes we ordered. Fresh and flavorful. Love the drinks. Food: bacon and ham wrap and it's served with a side of fruits-$13.75, French toast combo (eggs of choice, bacon, French toast with strawberries and blueberries)-$14.50 Drinks: horchata blended espresso-$6.25, and red juice (carrot, apple, beet, and lemon)-$8 I would return to try other dishes! read more

This seems to be the spot in Pasadena for a classic casual breakfast on Yelp so my husband and I decided to check it out. Located just off of Colorado, you can find this restaurant upstairs in a small street facing complex with street parking nearby. We came by early on a weekday and there were just a few other guests eating as well. The restaurant has a homey atmosphere and seems to have been given a fresh coat of paint and a few decorations compared to the businesses in the same complex. The service was friendly, and you order up at the counter and pay right away before you get your order. We tried out the pistachio waffles and breakfast burrito, both were okay. As soon as I began to lift the burrito, it all fell apart. It was as if it was thrown together in haste (despite me waiting a bit). I had to use a fork to consume. The flavor the of the meal was not cohesive. It wasn't bad, but felt as if I consumed individual items that were assembled after re-heating. Location: Access to the place is directly off the street, up a series of stairs. If you are looking for signage from the main road, you could miss it as its only noticeable one you ascend the stairs. The stairs aren't super steep or abundant, but they exist and there's about 20+ before you make it to the place. I would say the title "caffe" is appropriate is appropriate, so keep that in mind. Ambiance: despite the looks in the photos, the place is more chic in size. Not room for many guests to enjoy their meal. When I arrived, the only seat available was at the door and it honestly should not have been an option for guests. The storage area was exposed. Customers would bump into those seated by the door. There's a beautiful plant that hovers over you (if you're short). And if they have the AC blowing (because it's hot), it's placed right in that area, so expect breeze oscillating every few mins in your direction - and not from above your head, it's the tower fans. Service: Seemed pleasant enough. The lady was friendly. A bit meek which caused me to ask her to repeat things a few times, but still nice.
