I tried to order a flight with a variety of beers I was excited to try, but most of the ones I wanted were only available in cans, and canned beers couldn't be included in the flight. Because of that, my flight options felt pretty limited, so the experience wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped.

Outstanding food and great beers. Fast and friendly service. Ordered the pretzel and a couple of wings. Everything was delicious. Would not hesitate to come back again.

Came here for men's night with good friends. I love the food here, we ordered some chicken wings to share, and burger and steak for mains. We got couple good recommendations from the waitress for the drinks. The food come in relatively slow, but it is okay. We enjoy the environment, not too loud and very chill.

Stopped in on a Saturday at noon and there was no wait. Plenty of seating in the section next to the bar. By 1pm the place was pretty full. Came for just the food after going to the Balloon Museum. Started with the fried zucchini. Zucchini was shaved thin and had a pretty crispy breading. There was a nice touch of lemon that added a brightness and a hollandaise sauce. I wasn't sure if the sauce had broke but there was quit e a bit of oil on the plate. The sauce broke as it was quite oily underneath. Overall was pretty tasty but the large amount of oil underneath was not the best. For entree ordered the burger of the week. It had I believe pimento cheese, Giardiniera, crispy onion and tomato. The burger was cooked to my ordered temp and the patty was large. The patty was very juicy, the brioche bun was buttery and the cheese and giardiniera added a little heat. Was a great tasting burger. The fries were breaded and were crispy with a nice garlic flavor. I usually don't like breaded fries but these had a nice crisp to them and the garlic flavor was great. The burger here was great and the portion size was big as well. There is street parking in front, inside was nice and spacious and they are kid friendly.

I have been wanting to try this spot and the wait paid off. The food was delicious and came out so fast! I cannot recommend the beet salad enough- it was shared amongst 4 of us and still so filing. The pimento mac was also an amazing appetizer. The servers came by frequently to check on our status and bring more drinks. You can definitely find a beer you'll like as they had lots of options. The seating was spread out and flexible. There were lots of groups dining- families, couples, friends, etc. It was a great family-friendly vibe. It was also cool to see into the brewery in the back.

Old Irving Brewing is an amazing brewery and definitely one of my favorites in the area! The food and drinks were on point -- the fries with Parmesan garlic were absolutely delicious, and the burgers and wings were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The service here is also excellent. The servers are friendly, fast, and efficient, and they make sure you're taken care of without having to wait long. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying good food with good drinks. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great brews, great food, and great service all in one place!

We sat at the bar- the staff were super cool! I had the wood-fired Spanish octopus and my fiancé had grilled chicken tenders. The octopus had crispy flavorful bits and soft tender meat to balance. It had a sauce that balanced the salt levels perfectly. The chicken tenders were juicy and flavorful with a lot of sauce choices! I loved the grilled option too. I would definitely come back and try the fried zucchini- looks like people are raving about this!

Top notch service, beer, and amazing menu! Very kind and friendly service - I was welcomed in after trying to pick up my car from the shop next door on a 0 degree Chicago winter day while the auto shop took an early lunch and closed early. The team at Old Irving made me feel right and home and I was able to cozy up with their award-winning IPA and cheese curds... All the sorrows of Chicago winter immediately melted away

Really liked it here! Our server was very attentive. We ordered beers then burgers. The smash burger was very good and came out quickly. There was a drag show viewing going on the back room that I would love to go back to see!

Everything is incredible. Food always wants you coming back for more and weekly specials change things up from their traditional menu items. Beer and drinks always satisfy. Staff are easy to talk to and give out solid recommendations if you're unsure. Street parking can be tough but it is free. Highly recommend grabbing a drink or two and definitely enjoying the fries, cheese curds or even a burger as they always hit the spot.

Nice Brewery in Irving Park. I heard the fried zuchinni bites were good here (and it's not something I would normally order) and they were fantastic! The combination of toppings/sauce with it tasted so good and I would order this again! I also opted for the surf & turf skewers, I was not mad at this choice either, they were served on top of some potatos and came with three skewers, the shrimp had a perfect char taste and the chimichurri sauce paired nicely on top! Service was okay, nothing to rave about but also not horrible. The vibes are fun, one side is more bar/high top tables and the other more dining but there are TV's throughout. Overall great place.

Heard of this place from a few folks and decided to check out the online menu before visiting and there were quite a few items that intrigued me. This is a no frills bar but a perfect after work hang out spot to just grab a drink with a friend. Chill vibes all around. Ordered the Beet Salad and the Mole BBQ wings. The beet salad didn't disappoint AT ALL. Really wasn't expecting there to be that much if it lol. But very bite was so refreshing and packed with a great combination of flavors. I was actually even more excited and Intrigued about the Mole BBQ wings. They were serviceable but just felt the mole lacked that authentic mole flavor. Also were a bit on the dry side. But overall a very solid Friday night spot!

Monday night dinner spot for my husband and I it was not busy on a Monday night we got seated right away. Customers service was good, loved the music they were playing. I got the wood fire burger which was pretty good my husband got the wood fire octopus which was cold and overcooked.. and that cost $30.00 yikes!

Today j had the chicken Caesar wrap with the Eden salad & my husband had the burger with French fries- both dishes were absolutely DEVINE and we both really enjoyed the use of oven roasted tomato on each dish. The burger was delightfully savory and bursting with flavor, the fries were the perfect level of crispy and not too salty! The Caesar wrap was fresh and light while still packed with flavors, the chicken was cooked perfectly and not over seasoned. The side salad was delicious and not too big with nice touch of sweetness from crisp apples and dried cranberries. My favorite part of our meal was the pear and almond danish we finished with. The pastry was so crispy and delicious, but not overly oily or buttery & the filling was not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. Service was fabulous as always. TRULY, they exceed all expectations, every single time.

The meal started strong with crispy, golden flatbread paired with creamy ricotta. The ricotta was silky and lightly tangy, topped with olive oil, shaved cheese, herbs, and a sweet-savory jam that added depth. The bread had that perfect crunch on the outside with a slight chew inside -- simple but elevated. The pasta was the star. Wide ribbons cooked perfectly al dente, coated in a rich, slow-simmered ragu that tasted deeply savory and comforting. The sauce clung beautifully to the noodles, and the generous sprinkle of parmesan tied everything together. It felt rustic but refined -- the kind of dish you keep going back for.

We sat in the back so it was quieter, but still kinda loud overall and felt more casual than expected. Better for groups than a romantic dinner. 6.5/10. Service was great though. Our server was funny, super attentive, and paced everything perfectly. Loved the little details like switching plates and checking in at the right times. 8/10. The sweet onion toast was sooo good. Reminded me of Au Cheval's bone marrow + jam combo. Crispy & flavorful. 9.5/10. All the pastas were cooked perfectly al dente and not oily at all which I LOVED. The strozzapreti was super comforting with great duck flavor. 8.5/10. The beet agnolotti was really unique, tasted like a cream cheese lox everything bagel. 8/10. The cappelletti was more mid for me, good filling and sauce but nothing crazy. 7/10. The pork collar had an interesting texture like medium rare steak, but I'm just not a big pork fan. 6/10. Now the desserts... BEST part of the meal. The chocolate pavlova was insane. First time trying it and the textures were crazy good with the sorbet, mousse, and crunch. 9.5/10. The cookie dough brownie ice cream was also one of the best flavors I've had. 9.5/10. They also gave us a free chocolate cake for our celebration which was a nice touch, but it tasted pretty basic. Overall, really solid pastas, amazing desserts, and a great app, but a litttttle overhyped for me.

Stacked unapologetically high, this burger is everything you want and more: juicy, perfectly seared patties layered with melty cheese, crispy bacon, and those golden, crunchy fried onions that take it completely over the top. Every bite is rich, savory, and just messy enough to remind you you're eating something seriously good. The toasted bun somehow holds it all together (barely), soaking up every bit of flavor without getting lost in the chaos. And then... the shoestring fries. Thin, crispy, golden perfection--light but addictive, with that ideal crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one (or ten). They're the kind of fries you keep reaching for without even realizing it, especially dipped in that creamy, tangy sauce on the side. And let's not forget the drinks--just as good as the food. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the kind you sip slow while taking it all in (but somehow they disappear way too fast). It's not just a burger--it's one of Chicago's most iconic bites for a reason. Bold, indulgent, and absolutely worth every single napkin you'll need after. The ambiance inside is GORGEOUS!

Loved the 90s female R&B playlist they had going! Little Bad Wolf has been on my list FOR YEARS to try the burger! My husband got the burger with fried onions and I got some Bao because those also looked delicious and were a popular menu item. Honestly the 3 stars are only that high because of the service. Our server was friendly and attentive + the food came out hot and quick. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. The burger was swimming in a puddle of grease and just picking it up made your hands greasy + was dripping grease. The fries that came with it were floppy, soggy, and sad...but at least warm? I personally wouldn't order this again. The Bao were better, but small for the price and honestly were just okay? It was nice they gave you sauces you could add, but I found the Bao's to already have enough sauce so I didn't need them. Overall I left feeling confused and disappointed. I don't feel the need to come back here - Little Bad Will was a one and done experience for me.

We'd heard good things about Lula Cafe, so we decided to pop over on a Saturday morning. It was just after 9:00 but the place was already hopping. I can never say no to a breakfast burrito, so we decided to share their Classic Lula Breakfast Burrito ("avocado, tomato, potato, cheddar, green chile soffritto, and soft scrambled eggs") and holy moly was it ever good. Every ingredient was above average and placed with care, and I was impressed by the perfectly-cooked eggs. (There was nothing bouncy about these eggs, that's for sure.) Because we're pigs, we decided to also share the Lox Toast ("house cured organic salmon, gribiche, lula seeded rye") and it too was very, very good. Their pastries and desserts are always really unique and tasty though! We came on a Sunday around 11:45am and were told it would be a two hour wait, but the bar is first come first serve so we ended up sitting at the bar. Our food was taking a long time, while it seemed like everyone else at the bar was getting their food about 10 minutes after ordering since breakfast food is typically quick. After about 35 minutes of waiting, the server eventually noticed we never got our food and went to the kitchen. About 5 minutes later, our food came out. She told us it was because the kitchen lost our ticket and I appreciate the communication, but overall, the servers at the bar seemed pretty distracted the entire time, so part of me thinks our order never even got entered. I also felt like our seats at the end of the bar were easily forgotten about/ignored, and the servers tended to stay more towards the other end. I'm grateful we were offered a free dessert or pastry to make up for the wait. We chose the carrot cake to-go and it was delicious! I ordered the seasonal latte, the french toast off the April 2026 menu, and side of breakfast potatoes. The french toast featured superkhana chai dulce de leche, orange curd, whipped cream cheese, and parle-g crumble. If you like orange and citrusy flavors, you would probably love this french toast. The person I was with got the "royale" breakfast sandwich and loved it. The breakfast potatoes were smaller portion than I expected, but they were good.

It's not flashy, it is less busy, and if you don't know... sneeze and you'll miss it. The vibe is dark and moody, with notes of brown and dark blue. The art also fits the overall atmosphere well. I question, however, the large TV screen that seemingly only shows their name. It's not intrusive, just a bit weird. However, it was so dark that seeing the menu was more challenging than it needed to be. I can light it up with my phone, though I do (and did) so at the risk of being 'that guy'. Top-down lighting folks, I see the lamps up there, too! I ordered: - Oysters (4 as-is, 4 with mignonette on the side) - Duck Gnocchi - Sticky Toffee Pudding The oysters were medium-sized and excellent quality! They were delightfully briny and without a hint of cartilage or sand. The first order came with mignonette, and while enjoyable, being a bit of a purist, I put on a second order with mignonette on the side. Sure enough, I found myself adding it of my own accord. All the more evidence the kitchen knows what it's doing! Further proof? The Duck Gnocchi - the gnocchi themselves were soft and pillowy, more so than I've experienced up to this point. The duck in the dish was tender and soft as can be. The veggies (mirepoix) were sliced and cooked perfectly, adding texture, freshness and bulk (fiber?) without overpowering anything. To top it all off, breadcrumbs for a little crunch, and a mild sauce that tied everything together in perfect harmony. For the most important course, dessert, we have the Sticky Toffee pudding. A well cooked, well sauced helping of pudding, topped with a large scoop of ice cream that slowly melted, transforming the flavor as you go. For drinks, I ordered the Charred Boulevardier and the Burnout. The Boulevardier was rich, sweet and savory, in contrast the Burnout was brighter and fresher, and still boozy. While neither drink was a smack to the face with alcohol, after getting up, I could feel the effects. In terms of their service, it was polite and attentive, and all items came out fast! The prices are okay, though if you love oysters, keep in mind they will set you back $4/each! Final verdict: There is nothing at The Good Wolf that I wouldn't happily order again. It is hard to choose a standout when everything was of a high caliber. I look forward to working my way through their menu, and continuing to feed the good wolf (props is you know the story of the Two Wolves).
