Friends and I had a large party hangout here and it was nice! It's pretty spacious inside and they also serve food. There were a few moscow mule options and their espresso martini wasn't too bad! Service is also quick!

I was craving a burger on a sunny Saturday afternoon and wanted to enjoy some nice weather. I had heard of Gideon Welles through various local places and decided to give it a try. I was immediately seated outside because their patio is DOG FRIENDLY! :) The patio was quite large and had a nice view of the park across the street. The area was fairly quiet and not noisy on the street. The service was quick and they even brought my dog water with ice cubes (her favorite). I decided to have a beer with my burger and went with the Begyle Blonde. Good size and good value. I also built my own burger since you could choose 3 toppings and was surprised with how big the bacon pieces were. Admittedly, I was a bit sad with the avocado, it was two thin slices and you'd be better off getting guacamole instead if you choose that topping. I also went with white cheddar and liked that cheese. The fries were really good, too! I liked the onion ring on top. Overall, a great place to spend a sunny Saturday. The prices were fair, service was quick, and food was very good. I'll definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my time here this servers were really great and their service was very on point. The ambience is a whole Nother conversation. It's very and family style restaurant. It was very nicely decorated for the holidays as well. The food was nothing sort of excellent it tangled my taste buds dare I say and not fucking pretzel Let's just say I'll be having dreams about it.

This place has the best Irish curry and Guinness. The curry is like the one you would find in Ireland. I highly recommend the chicken quesadilla. It's stuffed with grilled chicken and the verde is quite spicy. Bartenders and staff are all great.

    Taco Tuesday! YUM

We truly enjoyed the 2 for $7 Taco Tuesday special. Onion rings and French onion soup sealed the deal. Beer was cold and refreshing. Our attentive server made us feel welcome, and we certainly hope to go back to enjoy more of what Gideon Welles has to offer!

Shepherds pie with burnt mashed potatoes $ cheese! You can see the ridges of burnt mashed potatoes in the picture!

It was my first time coming here and I had anticipated ordering the shepherds pie... When the waiter brought it out, I immediately noticed a burnt smell... Then I could see it, the mashed potatoes and cheese on top were pretty burnt. I should've sent it back for a redo, but I swallowed my pride and dug in anyway. After a few fork fulls of the burnt mashed potatoes & cheese I couldn't take it anymore because it was baked to the point where all you taste is char so I pushed them off to the side... What was underneath was a delicious shepherds pie filling that was not burnt but was hot, very rich and tasty. If I do decide to come back here and try the shepherds pie again, I would definitely mention to the waitstaff... PLEASE Don't over bake it .

A typical sports bar. Good beer list But from there.... It goes downhill! Ordered a flatbread that came burnt black all over, and sadly tasted the best. The artichoke dip tasted like oil & was freezing cold. The burger had no seasoning. And the chicken quesadilla was cold & beyond bland tasting. Oh and the extra dirty gin martini... NO clue what they made it with but it was gross whatever it was. All the guns on their list I've had and enjoy so it wasn't that. It didn't even taste like olives. So NO clue. We wanted so much to like this place, but after extra slow service, too loud TVs blaring in all Directions, and the disgusting off tasting food & drinks - we will not be back, and def won't recommend this place to anyone except to say... go somewhere else & save your $$$.

would give it a 3.5!!! a good place for a date or to catch up w friends over a drink but not necessarily a must-try for the food. the outdoor seating was really cute, though. huge portions. i got the southwest chicken wrap which could have been better with a good sauce but decent enough and tasted fresh.

Seriously? Someone is trying to say they weren't served because the couples at the table were mixed? Not in this neighborhood.

They had a terrific Valentine's Day dinner $95 for two people which included a small amuse-bouche each, an appetizer to share, individual entrees, and a dessert to share. We loved the crispy broccolini and were fighting over it. The entrees were huge portions and packed with flavor. I consider myself a scallop connoisseur and in all the restaurants we've ever been in, these scallops were cooked beautifully. They had a perfect sear to them on the outside but cooked perfectly on the inside as well, 10/10 no notes this is the scallop I will compare all future scallops to. And the duck confit, oh my...we also fought over this dish which paired incredibly well with beans to our surprise. Chocolate cake had a beautiful strawberry sauce on the bottom. Everything was incredible including the service. Cobblestone remains our favorite in the area and is loved by all the locals. Thank you for a perfect Valentine's Day dinner.

It was not an "Amuse bouche" which is a single bite item, it was much more but I'm not complaining about that! The appetizer was grilled octopus over sweet potato mash. I learned that day that sweet and grilled octopus is not a good mix. It was nearly gross. I picked the octopus up and tried to brush off as much of the sweet potatoes and possible. The octopus tasted good but was over cooked. My main was the branzino. It was charred to a crisp and full of bones. It did not taste good and was extremely difficult to eat. I did not taste the German chocolate cake for dessert but was told it was dry and people barely touched it. My husband and others are our table got short rib goulash, which was served like a steak with gravy. It wasn't tender like short rib should be. He said the flavor was good at least. Someone got the fish and chips and said it was flavorless. Someone else got the burger and said it was also charred and over cooked. Over all, pretty disappointed. Cute place with decent service. Hopefully this was just an off night.

This is a smaller location and you can sit and eat inside but it is along the window. So if you are eating with a large group, you can eat outside (weather permitting). We ate inside. We forgot to ask to remove the mayo on our burger (egg allergy) and they quickly remade one with no questions asked which was very nice. The food was delicious as normal and I've mentioned this before, the best fries. I got the veggie burger and it was spot on. Small Cheval will slays be one of my favs. The shake was good, I got the shake off the month (espresso). It was thick. My only complain is the straw (it kept cracking). The double cheese burger was 10.99 and addition of fries was 4.59. The burger was juicy, a tad creamy with their sauce, and the bun added a pleasant slight sweetness while adequately absorbing the beefy flavor while not getting soggy. Fries are lacking compared to the burger. Some pieces were crispy while others were soft. They needed more seasoning or a sprinkle of salt. The chicken tenders were a harmonious combination of light crispy with perfectly tender chicken. They need to do the same with the fries. Small cheval always had a solid simple burger that doesn't require all the extravigent additions to make it rememberable. Happy hour weekdays 3-5 for $6 beers and cocktails. Paid and free street parking in the area. Limited seating inside. Menu is accessible online and I recommend ordering through there.
