Yesterday, we had lunch at Eden Restaurant in Chicago. We arrived at the restaurant only to find our rear tire was flat. Thanks to the kindness of Moe, the GM along with a few of his crew members who changed our tire in drizzling rain. They were not deterred by the fact that our wheel key did not fit the locks on our car, they asked other Eden crew members to check their glove boxes for a wheel key. Thank you Moe and Team Eden for your kindness. Sometimes we forget how incredibly kind and generous the hospitality community truly is . And as for the food- best ever! I had the Soul and Smoke wood fired ham and cheese melt. Delicious! The Market Burgers are the best in the city! Chef Devon Quinn and his team are outstanding. Eden is an incredible example of what the hospitality industry is. We are so grateful for the kindness, the love and generosity shown to us. read more

Finally made it in for brunch/ lunch today and was just as impressed as I have been each time we've been for dinner. You truly can't beat the freshness of ingredients used and the delightful flavors that the chefs curate so well. Today j had the chicken Caesar wrap with the Eden salad & my husband had the burger with French fries- both dishes were absolutely DEVINE and we both really enjoyed the use of oven roasted tomato on each dish. The burger was delightfully savory and bursting with flavor, the fries were the perfect level of crispy and not too salty! The Caesar wrap was fresh and light while still packed with flavors, the chicken was cooked perfectly and not over seasoned. The side salad was delicious and not too big with nice touch of sweetness from crisp apples and dried cranberries. My favorite part of our meal was the pear and almond danish we finished with. The pastry was so crispy and delicious, but not overly oily or buttery & the filling was not overly sweet and perfectly balanced. Service was fabulous as always. I had never heard of Eden before I was invited, and I think that's a crime!!! Their brunch was fantastic and it really surprised me that more people aren't talking about it. First of all, despite the somewhat hidden location, Eden is gorgeous inside and has a beautiful patio. I loved the little gift shop/waiting area and honestly would come back just to grab a last minute gift and a pastry! I was happy they had brunch and lunch menus available, although it did make it hard to decide. I ended up getting the Veggie Sandwich, and my group shared a bunch of pastries. We held a baby shower at Eden yesterday, and I am very impressed with the service and quality of the food. Matt and Mau went out of their way to provide respond quickly during the setup of the room and throughout the event with great attitudes. I would definitely host an event there again. read more

A good place, but not a great place. Some healthy options, but not many with protein. Service is friendly but untrained and not well selected. The waiter had to go back to the kitchen for every menu and food advice question we asked. He also admitted to not liking fish, which restricted him from answering questions about seafood on the menu. Nice interior. The restaurant is open starting at 10 but opens at 9 on holidays like Easter. However, it only posts this information on its Instagram, which created a lot of confusion for us when we got a 9:30am reservation on OpenTable and couldn't reach the restaurant to confirm nor find any information about this on the website. The menu changes often which is good and bad, but given their food is always delicious it's nice to try new things. Apple matcha latte - good tasting matcha flavoring and Potatoes were out of this world. So crispy and tasty. Specialty fish sandwich was nice and crispy and the sourdough was delicious. The steak and eggs were also great. The sauce and flavoring on the steak was nice but I do think they slightly overcooked the steak and would've preferred a little more rare. Service was wonderful. Came for brunch and dinner on two separate occasions and left speechless at how flawless the experiences were both times. Your definition of a responsibly sourced, farm-to-table spot, with immaculate, well-thought-out interior decor that is versatile enough to impress our significant other for an anniversary dinner or chill enough to host a casual friend's night out. The recipes are unique and execution is absolutely flawless. The standouts for me both times were the Danish, crab bucatini, and beet salad. Service is outstanding, of course. Came here on a whim. Very modern ambience. Started off with the 2; Karat drink. Really enjoyed it, not too sweet a little peppery but not like spicy just taste. For apps had the tuna ceviche, tuna is extremely fries and the chips went perfectly with it. The main star for me is the brussel sprouts. I could eat the whole plate by my self if I could. The blend of that with the avocado and gochujang chefs kiss. I had the 6oz New York steak. The perfect medium rare. The sauce was the delicious the only thing I would say I didn't like was the basil with the stake to me it felt out of place. Overall great food would go back. read more

You cannot go wrong with what you get here! We got: Roasted beet salad, wood grilled asparagus, wood grilled baramundi, the burger, gnnocci, and chocolate hazelnut cake.  I am not a huge veggie lover, but my goodness, the veggies here are fantastic! They are so fresh, cooked to perfection, and are paired with such great flavors that only elevate the dish/continue to keep it fresh.  The burger was amazing. One of my new favorite burgers. The fries are so addicting that come with it. The pasta and fish were so yummy - The fish portion was good for the four of us.  They had a cute menu for me to celebrate my birthady and treated me to a little birthday dessert. The dessert was so chocolatey and decadent that it makes me want to come back for their pastries.  For brunch: their smoothies and cafe drinks are great! The potatoes are so soooo good. This restaurant is a must try! We went for dinner last night and we loved everything about it. The space is inviting with a vibrant ambiance, modern and fresh. Staff was attentive and skilled about the menu. We especially enjoyed the brussel sprouts and the beet salad in small plates, both with a wonderful combination of flavor and fresh bites. I recently came to Eden for brunch after running a half marathon. I'd been wanting to go for a while after seeing that they were one of the top brunch spots in the city and very gluten-free friendly. After running a lot of miles, the steak and eggs spoke to me. The real star, however, was the cheddar dusted breakfast potatoes. Not only do they look interesting, they taste great too. My girlfriend loved the quinoa pancakes. She's not one to finish her meals in one sitting, but she couldn't help but eat all of the pancakes. Ultimately, Eden made for a great brunch. It's a little off the beaten path, but you can sit outside and enjoy the sun while feeling like you've escaped the city. Also, they have parking available in a lot across the street. read more

The restaurant is really nice and moderately upscale. It's tucked away on a quiet portion of Roscoe St just west of the river. There is some parking in front, but the main lot is across the street. Every dish was really good; I tried all of the food pictured. But as others have said, portions are VERY stingy. For the price, you don't want to walk away hungry. I had the barramundi, and for $38, I shouldn't walk away feeling like that was a fancy snack. This applied to every plate. Prices should either be significantly less, or there needs to be substantially more food. read more

Eden is hidden gem that gives you locally sourced options in loft style but refined experience. Everything ordered was well portioned and delicious. They offer excellent cocktails and mocktails. We started with savory hummus. As the veggie lover, I had the sweet potato gnocchi. The hubby had the wood fire grilled octopus, which he raved about. We closed the evening shopping their local creative wall when we selected some locally made candles and spa aromatherapy offerings. We came for restaurant week dinner. They have a $45 and $60 option, with the difference being a pasta course in the latter. I appreciated that they had 2 price point options for dinner! We went with the $45 menu. For the apps, we got the Dan Dan Brussels sprouts and winter chicory salad. I really enjoyed the Brussels sprouts - probably my favorite dish of the night! The apps were the best course of the night in my opinion. For the mains, we got the striped bass and roasted Cajun chicken. I thought these were both ok. The chicken didn't have that much flavor and the bass wasn't as tender as other bass I've had before. For dessert, we had the citrus meringue pie and roasted banana turtle brownie. I enjoyed the citrus meringue pie and liked how the meringue was in a shard so it was less overwhelmingly sweet. The roasted banana turtle brownie was ok - I could definitely tell it was vegan from the texture and the flavor. The service was nice and checked up on us frequently. We wanted to try Eden for Sunday brunch and am sure glad we did. Greeted by the staff when we first walked in and also the pastry display case, very inviting. Def rustic and elegant vibes inside. The menu itself is surreal. You actually get to see what farms Eden works with so you get the best tasting meal! I was excited to try the milk bun breakfast sandwich and breakfast potatoes. Idk where to start, bun was soft as a pillow, cheesy pull apart Gruyère and that jalapeño remoulade was . I just have to be better and try the pastries next week. I finished the other plates. My drinks were both not good, one I couldn't stomach. Service was slow, apps were decent. Good sweet potato gnocchi and steak, no one ever came around to ask if the food was ok. I visited Eden this February during their restaurant week offerings. The meal was a much larger portion than expected and fantastic value for what I paid. The mushroom pasta and the Cajun chicken were my favorite items! The turtle brownie was fantastic and I would highly recommend trying it. The services were kind and accommodated us for a drink at the bar when we arrived early to our reservation. As it was our anniversary, we arrived to our table to see a Happy Anniversary message accompanying our menus which was very sweet. Visited with family for my birthday dinner and really enjoyed it. We had a reservation for a Friday night and were seated in their back room that had a nice ambiance. There were 2 kids in our party and they not only had kid menus, but were also given crayons and a picture to color. My menu had a Happy Birthday cover, which was a nice touch! I love that the menu is seasonal and most (if not all) ingredients are grown in their greenhouse or locally sourced. I was also pleased to see they had some NA options, and opted for the Mystic Fruit, which ended up being ok just a little sweet for my tastes. However, I tried a sip of my Mom's Moon Daisy cocktail and it was a winner. For food, we sampled a lot of the menu but my favorites were the roasted squash country bread and the stracciatella. I would only pass on the hen of the woods mushrooms next time. For dessert, they brought out a birthday macaron with a candle, which was very cute and tasty. A five star food experience, one star docked for a few missed points on service. The food was absolutely delightful. At this price point, restaurants are sometimes hit or miss but this place was spot on. I'd say overall the strength of each dish was that it was simultaneously fresh (no doubt helped by their in-house greenhouse) and hearty with creative flavor combinations. We got the squash blossom rangoons and tuna ceviche to start. We were accidentally given the gnocchi--an unexpected but pleasant surprise, and one of the favorites of the night. The garden vegetables were a perfect fresh pairing to the gnocchi. Barramundi had a ton of flavors going on--my husband thought it was delicious but a little chaotic, but I loved that every bite brought a new surprise. The curry has a lovely coconut flavor with some really well-done veggies. Dessert blew me away. Was not expecting the peach and apricot cheesecake to be a beautiful, deconstructed concoction of different flavors and textures all working perfectly with each other. The point on service... maybe because we were tucked into the back but each course took a long time to come and we felt at multiple points we had trouble to hailing someone down when we needed something. Our server was friendly enough, just not the incredible attention we've received elsewhere. Overall, an elegant and lovely meal in a modern, industrial setting. Probably in my top 3 eats this year so far! I would come again to try more of the chef's often changing menu! read more

This review is really about service. I attended a family wedding shower here in the spring of 2025. First off, I'm not at all familiar with the area since I live out of state, but I did appreciate that there was a parking lot across the street from the venue. Parking was free. In fact, it's pretty close to Wrigley Field and I could actually hear chairs and applause as I love the event. As far as the shower went, I was highly impressed with the staff. They were there they were attentive, they were accommodating, and there were many staff available to both serve and assist. As far as the pricing I have no idea to be honest. The food, was upscale trendy and not to everyone's liking being as it was a mixed crowd. The elder family members didn't really understand the menu too much I think. The younger 20 something year olds thought it was wonderful. I didn't find that there was a lot of flavor in some of the items and we did have mostly breakfast items and some brunch type things. I do believe that the hosts for the shower were able to take the remainder of the uneaten items home. It was a lovely lovely venue I can say that much. Sorry I can't be more help with the pricing or the exact menu but I would definitely go back if I was ever in the area again read more

The mushrooms were edible but that's all--incredibly bland. The tater tots were the best part Main course: the bucatini....a tiny bit of crab, a tiny bit of butter and underdone pasta. Literally no flavor at all and no effort was made here. The NY strip--over cooked, rubber, Salty, garbage. The waiter asked about highlights and if we wanted anything to go and we said no. That should have clued him in to at least say something to the manager. It pains me because the people were nice and the service was fine, but again will not be back. read more

The black miso vanilla latte was good but just tasted like a standard latte - not sure where the black miso was. For $8 I'd skip this. The purple rain smoothie was flavorful but I wish it was a little thicker and a lot colder. It came out lukewarm which was a bit odd. Not to mention that it was $14. The tuscan white bean & kale soup was good but not that special. The foccacia that comes with it was great though. The pozole rojo, eden salad, and skinny turkey club were the stars. It was a 3, but I think dinner would be better and it was a beautiful day on the patio so I rounded up. Food was good, but it didn't seem extraordinary. They were out of a pastry I ordered, but charged it on our bill which they corrected after we noted it. The decor is lovely and parking easy and plentiful. My wife and I had been meaning to go to Eden for a while and it finally fit into our Saturday for a late lunch. We planned to come back the following day for dinner but childcare fell through; we'll be back for dinner soon enough though! During our visit the service was excellent. She had a veggie sandwich and side salad and was very happy with both. I had the breakfast sandwich and the bun was perfect and the breakfast potatoes, well, I could have eaten a whole plate of just those. Eden is a beautiful space. It's open with loads of windows, though a little loud due to the acoustics. We were seated right away for our reservation, and our server was great. My friend got the mushroom stracci and I got the roasted squash on harissa sauce. Both were amazing! The flavors in the squash were so amazing-- the harissa was so flavorful, the cucumber salad so fresh, and combinations so unique. It made me want to come back every month to find out what's on the menu. They only fell short on dessert. The creme brulee tart was fine. Sadly, it was not custard-y, and served with a tart apple sorbet that, while delicious, didn't really complement the tart. I'd probably skip dessert altogether next time.
