Eden is a beautiful space. It's open with loads of windows, though a little loud due to the acoustics. We were seated right away for our reservation, and our server was great. My friend got the mushroom stracci and I got the roasted squash on harissa sauce. Both were amazing! The flavors in the squash were so amazing-- the harissa was so flavorful, the cucumber salad so fresh, and combinations so unique. It made me want to come back every month to find out what's on the menu. They only fell short on dessert. The creme brulee tart was fine. Sadly, it was not custard-y, and served with a tart apple sorbet that, while delicious, didn't really complement the tart. I'd probably skip dessert altogether next time. Eden is a gorgeous and delicious brunch location. I came here for a friend's birthday brunch and we were seated in a lovely private room with really cool ambiance. I ordered classic items which included an iced caramel latte and the traditional breakfast which had fluffy scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, and bread. The potatoes were such a hit - I had a lot leftover and they tasted great the next morning as well. We also ordered a couple pastries to share for the table including the monkey bread, highly recommend doing that with a group so you can split and taste all their fresh breakfast options. read more

One of the few requests from my parents when they're in town is to dine at Eden. This is such a great spot for consistently good food, ranging from 'familiar' American to slightly adventurous. It also seems to be a good spot for families (I've seen people with little ones here often). They have a lovely patio but also the inside is gorgeous, and I really love their focus on fresh, in season foods! Having an on-site greenhouse is pretty neat. Okay, so I've mostly gone for brunch and I either get their pancakes (my moms favorite) or the mushroom omelette. Both are fantastic and service is always so friendly. Quite honestly, the dessert stole the show. The sourdough crème brûlée was the best crème brûlée I've had since chef Heather's Sable in 2012. Our waiter, Cain, was fantastic. Very genuine and fun to interact with. While I did not care for the 24 karat cocktail, Cain steered me to the 'go getter' which was delicious. The beat salad appetizer and barramundi were both good, but I thought the hen of the woods mushroom was exceptional. The space is really modern and quite quiet given the size of the dining room. They brought a birthday macaroon which was also a pleasant surprise (and pretty tasty)...but I'm still smiling about that creme brûlée. read more

This is my favorite restaurant in Chicago. It's so cozy, has free parking and impeccable service. I love that they have their own green house and purchase everything else locally and organic. So many vegan options on the menu. Standout was definitely the wood Wood-Grilled Asparagus (vegan) so many complex amazing flavors. Eden is making it to my top ten favorite restaurants of 2023. We've driven past it over a dozen times and decided to celebrate my birthday there after extensive online research. Made a reservation and glad we did this place was fully packed on a Friday night and hour into dinner. Interior is awesome, very cute and posh. The food and drinks are spectacular. The half chicken could've been a whole chicken it was so much meat. Salmon was cooked to perfection and melted in our mouth, never knew salmon could be cooked that way. The cocktails were beautiful and very strong. Roasted potatoes and carrots were scrumptious. My onlyyyy complaint is that there wasn't a little birthday treat. A lot of high end restaurants like this will do a free glass of champagne or a small little dessert. Outside of that expectation, it was all around a great time and we'll be coming back. read more

We got a last minute reservation which was good. I was very happy with most of the food , we got the bread, potatoes and mushroom polenta for appetizers. Everything was ok till tasted a grain of salt. I asked for warm water with lemon instead of regular water , I was served scalding hot water in a glass not a cup. Wasn't. Great start to the meal. Main course we shared the chicken and gnocchi both were okay. The dessert was a big disappointment, the tart was more like a quiche . We were celebrating a work anniversary and they gave the dessert on the house which was very nice. I will certainly come back but I expect flawless service and perfect food from such a wonderful establishment!! read more

What a lovely establishment. I came for dinner on a Thursday night after long day at technology conference. Lucky for me the dinner was a treat by the tech company. This review is based on private service in the rear room. Our party was less than 30. We had two tables and a set 4-course menu. The cocktail and wine menu was expansive here. I ordered a Cosmo and a French 75. Both were great. To accompany my meal, I also had a delightful red wine (Zin). For food we had a bread assortment which was divine. That pretzel bread with goat cheese butter was to dream for. For our second course there was a great burnt watermelon feta tomato salad....yummy. Additionally, there was a a delicious side dish served with main dish. I opted for the flat iron steak which paired nicely with the roasted carrots. I ate all my steak, it was so tender. The 4th course was also great. We had an option for a stone fruit (peaches) dessert and flourless chocolate cake. I picked the flourless cake and it was good but the stone fruit dessert was much better. All-in-all a very great dinner. Ambiance and service were prime here. Our server was so great. I wish I knew his name as he was funny and kept the drinks flowing. Cherry on top of the food it that there is a free parking lot across the street. I will be back. read more

I was looking for a place with vegan food and this came up as a suggestion. It seemed to me like some new place, although it is not. The ambience is really nice, the place is decorated in a simple but modern way, and according to the pictures from the summer period, I would say that it is even more beautiful when the weather is warmer. As for the food, I had the Eden salad with salmon, and the white bean soup. Both were delicious! I don't remember the name of the cocktail because I don't drink them often, but here is the photo. The service is great, fast, excellent - no complaints. All in all, I really liked the place, as well as the clientele that comes there. I would recommend it to everyone. read more

Was here for an early brunch with girlfriends. We had a reservation and were seated in a timely manner. Seating was comfortable, and the restaurant itself felt clean and stylish with a calming zen-like quality, and there's plenty of free street parking in front of and near the restaurant which is a huge plus. They also had a cute outdoor patio that was nicely decorated. Service was outstanding and everything was delicious. I tried the omelette with mushrooms, gruyere, and arugula, a side of kale salad, plus the drip coffee, vanilla sprinkle cake donut, and house potatoes. The omelette was cooked perfectly, the house potatoes were seasoned well and had a great crispy texture, the salad was fresh, and the donut decadent. Prices were on the average to higher side, but reasonable as the ingredients seemed to be fresh and of high quality. The only thing we were confused about was why the drip coffee was so pricey ($8 for a plain drip coffee); not sure what that was about. But overall, my friends and I had a great experience and look forward to returning. read more

I wanted to have a nice meal with some friends shortly before having a baby and stumbled upon Eden when looking for a new place to try out. It's a nice spot with a good brunch menu and we really enjoyed our time here. I made a reservation for us but we may not have needed it because we came when they opened, and it was pretty quiet for a while. We were there for a couple hours and it wasn't too busy during our time there. They have a very large patio, which I would have liked to use, but currently Chicago is host to smog and smoke from Canadian wildfires so we chose the dining room. The dining room and bar is really nice, and their cocktails look interest too. We ordered the maple cinnamon roll, which was okay but nothing special. I couldn't really taste anything different about it I'd probably prefer a cinnamon roll warm. I had the quinoa pancakes, which I'd not heard of before... they were pretty good. They were a little more dense than regular pancakes. The lemon and blueberry are a classic combination; the lemon mascarpone in particular was yummy; subtly flavored, bright, and fresh. Others got the French toast, which as I understand it was delicious (and beautifully plated!), and the others got the omelet. Everyone was really pleased with their meals. read more

We came for Chicago restaurant week and a birthday dinner which was a delightful coincidence. I started strong with the hibiscus hot toddy which was perfect for a chilly evening in an outfit more for fashion than function. The Brussels sprouts knocked it out of the park and I truly generally hate them so that was super impressive and the winter salad was also a great upgrade for salad which I rarely get excited about. The bass had really great flavors but is a little spicy if you're a wimp about heat (I am) so just a heads up on that. We finished it up with some yuzu lemon meringue pie which had a really interesting construction and presentation in addition to the flavors and then a turtle brownie with bananas and ice cream and candied pecans. It had salt crystals added on top of the omelette which I tried to take off, but it was still very salty and I couldn't eat it. The fruit was amazing . My daughters ordered the Eden salad and cashew salad which they liked and they looked good. It's definitely off the beaten path. But once found, it really is like Eden. First thought, must be a new place since it's so clean. But it's not. Such a cute place! I stopped in on a Sunday for lunch with some girlfriends, and the reservations were already packed a week prior! We were happy to snag a 2pm reservation though. The venue itself is so cute! Outside seating, and there must be a private room because it seems like there was a wedding shower happening next door. To drink, I had a smoothie and the girls had frozen rose and aperol spritz's. We would have loved a non-frozen aperol drink, but it was still delicious! To eat, everyone loved the monkey bread but I did not try. I ordered the skinny turkey club which was delicious but a little hard to eat! The fries were INCREDIBLE though... so so good! Almost double fried and seasoned, super crispy.. I could be buried in these fries. My friends ordered burgers as well and those looked INSANELY good! We got cookies to go as well, which were delicious! Overall I'd love to come back for dinner service, and maybe to sit outside :) read more

Celebrated a birthday with 4 adults and 2 older children. We were seated in the back room nicely decorated but unfortunately at a high top table which wasn't great for an older person. Waitress was good and support staff excellent refilling water etc. Overall a nice evening enjoying some different drinks and food dishes. Enjoyed some cocktails - Old fashion, Bees Knees, French 75 and the favorite being Moon Daisy, great tasting and beautiful presentation. We ordered a number of different dishes - Red Crab Bucatini, Hen of the Woods Mushrooms, Stracciatella, Bread, Eggplant Flatbread and Ricotta Gnocchi. My favorites were the Stracciatella, Flatbread and an outstanding Ricotta Gnocchi. The birthday girl was served a cookie with a lighted candle which was a nice touch. We also ordered crème brûlée and an espresso martini also good. We had reservations and were seated promptly. There is easy parking in a lot across the street. Eden has a really beautiful setting and it literally feels like this place was transported from the West Loop. You really won't find a similar ambiance like this in the area. Service was pretty consistent throughout the meal. There are a variety of cocktails. I opted for the one that closely resembled an express lol martini. It was pretty tasty. I would definitely order again. The food was alright. I was pretty excited for the breakfast burrito. I'm not sure if they were trying something new, but they added a lot of purple potatoes to the breakfast burrito I had. I'm not sure if this was to stretch the serving out but it definitely gave the burrito a really gritty earthy taste as opposed to a savory breakfast food item. It really overwhelmed the bacon and avocado that I had ordered at an additional charge. The purple potato definitely wasn't listed in the ingredients on the menu. My friend ending up agreeing to split their sandwich with me because of the taste. They had the same feedback and definitely agreed that the taste wasn't great, and maybe they should list it on the menu. On another note, the grilled chicken sandwich they shared with me was great. I would recommend it. It's definitely worth checking out this place again. Would just hope the meals are as indicated on the menu. read more

I hadn't heard of Eden before moving to Roscoe Village and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. We came on a Wednesday evening for date night. I was blown away by the shaved brussels sprouts salad which was refreshing, flavorful, and perfectly composed. I got the flat iron steak for my entree which was on the lighter side but perfectly cooked and served with broccolini that had a great char flavor. 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. The space was beautiful and not too loud to carry on a conversation. Would gladly come back for dinner or to try brunch and definitely recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Very cool addition to the neighborhood. Interior is very modern and slick. Service is always great. We've been here 3-4 times and have ordered steak, fish, pasta, dessert and it's all pretty good. Some things are better than others, but I always enjoy myself when I come here. Dinners are usually a little under $200 for an app, two entrees, a couple of drinks each, and tax and tip. read more

Eden is incredible and a great addition to the neighborhood. I went recently for drinks and an appetizer after work and had a great time. They have both inside and outside seating. Service was quick and friendly. We were greeted with a free bowl of homemade potato chips. They also have a wonderful selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. For happy hour bites, the menu is a bit limited- three options. We went with the pepper hummus, which was really delicious and came with a nice variety of crackers and veggies. Only complaint was there was way too much olive oil on the top of the hummus- we had to remove some. They also grow all of their own herbs, which is super cool! I'm really excited to check them out for breakfast and lunch sometime. I hope they extend their hours soon- and add dinner options! read more

I don't get the hype. I've wanted to try this place for awhile and finally got over here. I ordered the $10 Eden hot chocolate. It was barely lukewarm. The marshmallow on top was inedible. It tasted like Swiss Miss which I'm not hating on but expected better. They were out of the pastry we ordered and just totally forgot my husband's cup of gumbo he ordered. The Shrimp and Grits also came out lukewarm and didn't have the right proportions. The veggies were too big and took over the flavor. Not enough shrimp or grits. The turkey sandwich was fine. It said smoked turkey which I thought would be like hot turkey breast but it was just regular lunch meat. Our waters were empty most of the brunch and only got filled when they brought the check. Service left much to be desired. Would not come back. read more
