If you like cute and trendy wine bars, you have to go to Outside Voices. This was my first spot on my Chicago trip visiting my best friend. We met up here. I walked from the Blue Line and felt extremely safe. It's in such a pretty part of town. There are plenty of seating spaces both inside and outside. When you arrive, you find a table you like and then go up to the counter to order. They have QR codes everywhere so you can see the menu online. If you like natural wines this is the place for you. The people who work here are absolutely incredible. I came straight from the airport so had my suitcase and one of the bartenders offered to take my bag to the back which I adored. My friend also took a really long time to get there from work so I just hung out for a while and they didn't make me feel too weird about it. One of them even gave me a generous pour of the wine I got. I also ordered us a meat and cheese board which was simple, but nice. Do know that the prices are a bit high here. If you want to get a full bottle of wine the average price is about $60 for a bottle. The aesthetics of this bar are A+. It is really loud inside. The name says it all, you will be using outside voices. While we adored this place, the music was a bit loud so it was a little hard to catch up. That being said, we made the most of it. It also was the spot that I asked her to be my bridesmaid so it'll forever have a special place in my heart. If you're looking for a cute and trendy place, with fun music blasting, and a great vibe, this is it. I highly recommend Outside Voices. read more

I absolutely love this place!!! We came with a group of 9 of us and were able to sit comfortably in the outdoor space; it was so nice! The atmosphere is casual and neighborly, and I was really impressed with the attention to detail that is put into the space and the wine! All of the bottles have cool designed labels, and they play music on vinyl inside. We were able to sample our wine before getting a few bottles to split between our group. I love that they have orange wines! They were all very delicious and refreshing. I can't wait to come back here! The inside is super cute and would be fun for a cozy winter night too. read more

This place was really cool! The vibes inside were amazing with the moody lighting, disco ball, decorations, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and lots of board games available to play! We started with the wine flight (only offered on Wednesdays) which was fun to have. Then we ordered a few more glasses and sipped on them while playing some board games. The menu is extensive and they offer some food as well. And the waiter was nice as she was very helpful. It was a chill way to end our date night. Such a cute pink wine bar! They have booths that have games next to it that you can play. We played a few games while sipping on our wine which is always a good time. They have a vegan cheese board which is overall pretty good! Wasn't the best vegan cheese board I've ever had but it was still quite good. It's always nice to have the vegan option! The regular meat and cheese board was yummy and nothing out of the ordinary. The wine soaked goat cheese was my favorite on that board. We opted in to get a bottle of Krásná Hora 'La Blanca' Czech Republic (orange wine). The staff recommended this based off what we were looking for. Overall, I enjoyed it with the food. read more

WOW WOW WOW! What a place! This is something I would like to call a hidden gem as I have mentioned it to multiple people around the city and they have never heard of it! We had a table reserved on a Friday night and it was a perfect place to be before going out. We ordered up at the front and first started with a bottle of the white California wine. We also ordered a cheese & meat board, a side of fries, and a pretzel to share. It was all spectacular and we loved sitting there and catching up (as they are out of town friends). The staff were extremely nice and tentative! The home hitter however was the decor. So many beautiful plants hanging from the walls, and a cute little disco ball in the middle of the room. It was a small area however I do want to go back once it's nice out as it seems that they have a phenomenal patio! All in all, You have to go here. After seeing several Instagram posts about this wine bar, I had to check it out! The staff were fantastic. They immediately made me feel welcome and eager to get me acquainted with their offerings. They helped me picked out a wine after offering me samples of a few options. Their outdoor patio is very cute with both a covered area and an uncovered area. I love that their music is playing from vinyl. I enjoyed a cheese board while I read my book, which the staff mentioned is pretty common (to have solo guests who come to read). The cheese board had more pairings than cheese, so the price felt a little too high. I'll be back for sure. read more

This place is SO CUTE. Keep in mind that it's not a typical sit down restaurant, you grab a table and go up to the bar to do your orders. I got the wine flight to start, which is one of their Wednesday's specials for happy hour. They rotate the wines (which I believe are all natural) weekly, so keep an eye out on their insta for their weekly selections. I ordered the fried chicken Sammy and split some fries with my boyfriend. Let me tell you, the chicken Sammy is HUGE. We probably could have split one. All of the workers are super friendly. I thought the wines were just okay, I wasn't super impressed with any of them. Some of the wines you can't get by the glass and can only get by the bottle. You order your food and wine at the counter. Food is from the moonlighter. I thought it was pretty average. We got the chicken parm sandwich and vegan chicken parm sandwich. Our first time here and no one told us, nor was it advertised that if you sit outside you had to self service. Guess I should of checked Yelp before making our reservation outside. Not sure if it's the same inside. On the QR sign it said to wear a mask when a staff member approaches you, but nowhere does it say to go to the bar to get a drink or some food. Kind of annoying and it took 1.5hrs to receive a cheese plate and when we told a staff member were still waiting on the cheese plate they kept insisting it was for another table until they checked our tab and saw the order was placed but never delivered. Not sure if I'll be returning. Kind of disappointing as I like the other restaurants and service at scofflaw and moonlighter. Hope the service turns around here. It's pretty small inside but well laid out with a small bar and some ferns in the front window. However, I wish the owners would display some wine bottles instead of so many plants, I literally forgot Outside Voices was a wine bar 15 minutes after sitting down. On the night we stopped by( Sunday around 630pm) the establishment was 1/2 full, so it was easy to find a seat. The Good; I tried a lovely smooth but rich orange wine. The Bad; my date thought his red was boring. bartenders were busy chatting with one guest-had to flag both down we ordered burrata (my favorite cheese); cheese was fine, could be better with a drizzle of high quality olive oil/fresh pepper, the baguette accompanying the cheese was hard as a rock, we gave up after attempting to chew a piece and asked for crackers before we lost a tooth or two (ouch). From the moment I walked into this restaurant, I felt unwelcome. Waiter OV P: -asked for the order without any help to wine suggestions. -tacos were served without extra plates. I was dining at Giant across the street and saw their cute outdoor patio and the words WINE - I knew i had to try it out! I came here with a girlfriend for some wine on a Friday night at 8pm. The host was sitting at the entrance reading a book, which I thought was cool considering I'm a huge bookworm (I should have asked her what she was reading!) We walked through the indoor space to get outside to their patio - their indoor space is really natural, plants everywhere, wooden booths, tables and chairs - very Logan Sq type of place. It is the perfect spot for catching up with your girls or a first date. I loved my wine - got 2 glasses, the charcuterie board and corn salad - everything was delicious. I didn't like where we were seated (wish I took a picture of it) - it reminded me of the seating you'd see in a sauna or like bleachers. We had to sit a little awkwardly facing each other with no back support, so that was my least favorite part. I would 100% return, but next time I'll be specific on not sitting in their bleachers again. That's why I gave it 4 stars. read more

I've been here numerous times and I love everything about Outside Voices! Their wine selection is lovely (they have orange wine) with a normal price range as well. Their vegan and vegetarian snacks are delicious and I am grateful that they have them. The environment is always chill with good music playing. We also had a semi-private event here this fall on their patio and it went perfectly. The manager and bar manager were so accommodating and the hostess was also very sweet. Great to see this place open during COVID. They have a tent out to keep the wind from chilling your bones, and made a great mulled wine to warm you up.
