Everything we had was phenomenal and it was a great atmosphere. The pine bud custard though, in particular, heaven.

Had a wonderful (and delicious) time celebrating a friend's birthday at Goosefoot! You would never know this is a michelin star restaurant with how well it blends into its Albany Park location. We devoured a delicious multi course tasting menu that changes seasonally and highlights locally sourced ingredients. Service was exceptional and we even received a gorgeous creme brûlée birthday treat and signed and dated menus. Price is reasonable compared to other michelin star restaurants in Chicago. We'll definitely be back to celebrate more happy occasions!

If you want an intimate and elegant meal, then visit Goosefoot. The owner Nina came by and talked with us throughout the meal. Each dish of the tasting menu was artistically presented and delightfully tasty. Check out the photos. We felt very cozy and comfortable at this restaurant. We left the restaurant with a full tummy and fond memories.

If you want something high end but the ambiance of a family run restaurant, this place is such an awesome balance of not being pretentious, but having delicious food, and a warm atmosphere. All the dishes were flavorful and worked well to build the meal. Our menu themed for Woodstock was a little dessert heavy, but the savory dishes are great too. I appreciate how Covid-conscious they are as well! I would love to come here again on special occasions as it is pricey but you get such a unique experience, come here at least once to try it!

I dined here back in September and this was a great experience! It's a very intimate dining room, such a cute setting. The owner Nina was so kind and took great care of us! My favorites of the night were the heirloom tomato and squash blossom soup and the pine bud custard, but everything was so amazing. If you're new to tasting menus or Michelin restaurants this is a perfect one to start with, all of the flavors were so tasty and homey.

A pleasant surprise in a neighborhood of international culinary variety. Chris and Nina have created a delightful oasis, tasteful decorated and welcoming. The meal was spectacular. The restaurant punches well above its weight class and excels beyond most of Chicago's tasting menu giants. The ingredients were mostly local and the flavor combinations on point. Standout dishes include the foil bras truffle mousse, the diver scallop, corn soup and sheep's milk cheese with quince, mulling spice, cherry and rose hip. The venison and the angus beef were cooked to perfection and the pescatarian options of truffle and mushroom ravioli and tuna ensured my pescatarian partner didn't miss a beat. All of the deserts sparkled. as a bonus, while Goosefoot is a BYOB, they will purchase wine at their separate but next door bakery and liquor store for you. The selection is great and there is no corkage fee for the reasonably priced retail selection. Add Goosefoot to your Chicago restaurant bucket list today.

I'm a bit disappointed that some of the recent reviewers didn't post any pictures, so that the rest of the world can get an idea of how the food looks. It doesn't matter if you write a super wordy post. No pictures can lead to readers losing interest. I'll attach some pictures so that people can get an idea of the tasting. I came here awhile ago for my birthday. It wasn't full so the evening was kind of quiet. We just used an Uber to get here. Nice, quiet neighborhood. Restaurant was cozy and nicely decorated. Service was amazing. You definitely feel at home, getting ready for a multicourse home-cooked meal. Food was magnificent. Easily in my top 5 favorite Michelin restaurants. Each course seemed to get better and better. It's hard to choose a favorite as I loved each dish. It's $175 without taxes and tip for the tasting. That's without a wine pairing. Yes, that's per person. Highly recommended. I hope my pictures give you some sort of idea of what to expect.

I tried booking a reservation online and there were none available for weeks so I reached out to Chef Nina (owner) directly and explained to her that a friend of mine was moving and we've always talked about going there and asked if there was anyway she could squeeze us in - and she did! She greeted me by name and cane to chat with us a few times throughout the night. Our server was sweet and wore a mask and social distanced the entire night. They have 6 ft glass dividers with air filtration units above each table. They take covid precautions super serious and I hope they'll be able to fully reopen soon. The food was beautiful and delicious. First dish was a crab cake which was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Next was a lemongrass soup which was a very generous portion and had a very rich flavor - I didn't want to fill up so I didn't finish it but i could have had two. Next was the filet which was incredibly tender and the perfect size for a tasting menu followed by a cheese dish then creme brûlée - my favorite!! Due to covid restrictions the service was 5 courses instead 11 or 13 (i forget) but it was still a fantastic experience. For two of us with a recommended red and white, along w/ an already included 20% gratuity and an additional 10% from us it came out to ~$160/person. A very reasonable price for a Michellin star tasting menu dinner. My friend and I decided we'll def be back before she leaves.

For NYE 2021 we wanted to support a small local restaurant. We decided to order in from Goosefoot. Their NYE options were a great value and each meal included a salad, main and dessert. Ordering online was simple and easy. They provided both text and email reminders. Pick up was efficient and we enjoyed a nice hot, comforting, delicious meal for dinner. It came warm, so all we had to do was plate the food and enjoy! Highly recommend this as a pick up dinner option for a special occasion our anytime. Portions we're large and we had leftovers.

I've been wanting to try Goosefoot for a long time and finally decided to make reservations. Overall, it was a great meal and left feeling painfully full from eating too much. Service and attention to details was great! Definitely 5/5 on service! I made reservations on Open Table and requested one accommodation for a pescatarian diet. The restaurant called the night before to confirm our reservations and diet accommodation. My favorites of the night were the lobster, summer corn soup, and pine bud custard. The lobster had a great balance. The Meyer lemon overpowered any hint of lemongrass, but the lobster was still balanced well with the acidity of the lemon. The soup was very filling, rich, and well balanced with crab, corn, and potatoes. I wished this portion was little smaller or should have stopped myself from finishing the entire dish. It was very delicious though and I can see why others may have wanted a bigger portion! I did find a small shell in my soup, but it could have been missed by anyone. This soup made the dinner evening very filling at the beginning of the dinner, and wished I would have saved room for the other courses. I loved the pine bud custard and it come out as a big portion as well. Unfortunately, I was unable to finish it. I wished it could have been packed to go so I could enjoy it better the next day for breakfast with coffee. My substitute with the truffle pasta and tuna was just okay. The tuna was on a bed of hidden wasabi-like oil that I didn't know was there until I had tears in my eyes. Even though I love wasabi, it would have been nice to know that before I ate it. The pasta sauce has great flavors, but a little more on the salty side than I prefer and the pasta seemed overcooked. I enjoyed the food and attention to details. I think it's great that the courses are thoughtfully prepared with seasonal vegetables and fruits. Would definitely recommend. We received signed menus from Nina and Chris at end of the night! It was very thoughtful of them to take the time to do this for their guests.

We had our anniversary dinner here and it was wonderful. It is run with only 3 people, Chef Chris in the back with the dishes and Ms Nina and her sister serving front of house. The job they do is incredible, and if I had only one regret it was that dessert wasn't served first. Chef Chris truly shines through his passion and I was too full to finish the chocolate

Best creme brulee I've ever had! Right caramelized crust topping. Creamy. Not too sweet for my palate. Carry out, please! 12/24/2021

Still my favorite restaurant. Great place to enjoy loved one company and conversation. Food, sweet and savory, on point. Wine selection and pairing is pleasant. Deserves 2 Michelin Stars! Love taking home exclusive chocolate bars. The chef's chocolates are truly artisnal. I will always plan to return. Thank you, Chef Chris and Nina!

Came in with a pretty big appetite so got two apps: Beet Salad and, of course, their phenomenal Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Both of them hit but I just have to say something extra about these cheese curds. I've had a lot of fried cheese curds in Chicago and they all just tasted and even looked like mozzarella bits. A big disappointment. But these are so different. They are unique in flavor and the tempura batter is just right. They are definitely a head above the rest. These right here are the gold standard of cheese curds in my book. The beet salad was incredibly refreshing accompanied by a yogurt sauce and pepita seeds which gave it a great added texture and flavor. For my main I decided on their fan favorite Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and after the first bite I knew exactly why it was a fan favorite. When it came to the food, each dish was good and thoughtfully prepared, but many courses felt too simple in execution. The flavors were clean and pleasant, yet they often lacked the depth, layering, and progression you hope to experience throughout a tasting menu. With each new course, I kept anticipating a buildup--something bolder, more intricate, or more surprising--but that moment never quite arrived. The menu did offer an enjoyable journey through different regions, which added variety and interest. The toasted bun somehow holds it all together (barely), soaking up every bit of flavor without getting lost in the chaos. And then... the shoestring fries. Thin, crispy, golden perfection--light but addictive, with that ideal crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one (or ten).
