Nestled on a corner in Andersonville, Little Bad Wolf is a charming restaurant with a large bar menu and delicious, heavy bites. There is outdoor seating under a pergola lined with semi-private planters, while the inside features a bar, high tops, low tops, and large booths. The music was upbeat, giving the space an elevated lounge vibe that pairs really well with the upholstered booths and vintage industrial design. I ordered the Wolf Burger, which is a whopping three-patty burger. That first bite was juicy and pure bliss--a total explosion of great flavors. It was a little messy (like all burgers with an egg), but the extra liquid was perfect for balancing the density of such a meaty burger. The soft bun soaked in a lot of those juices with each bite, intensifying the flavor as I ate more. The fries were thin and on the greasier side--not my personal favorite, but they worked alright as a vehicle for the sauce. Speaking of which, the chili aioli served with the fries was fantastic. We also got the mac and cheese, which hit a great balance between rich and creamy without feeling excessively wet. The boat it came in was a bit small, making it a little messy to scoop out with the serving spoon, but it was soooo good. Overall, it is absolutely a fantastic neighborhood place for comfort food and drinks with friends in a great space!
Burger lives up to the hype! The wait time on a Sunday evening was very quick even for a table outside. The patio is lovely! We each got a burger with the side salad. I want to come back and try the actual salad because the entire menu looks great!
I got the "bad" burger and fries and while the burger itself was pretty good, the burger bun became soaked in grease after a while and became inedible. The fries were the perfect consistency of crispy and the overall restaurant was really cute. 10/10 for whoever was on aux that day. The service was also pretty fast! Def recommend if you're in the area for a quick lunch
Nice vibes, friendly service, and good food. I enjoyed my tacos. I tried the pork, steak, and shrimp tacos. The shrimp taco really stood out to me. I had a few refreshing mocktails too. My friend's burger was really juicy. The bathrooms aren't labeled but I found them pretty easily. Lovely art and decor! Big beautiful paintings throughout the restaurant. Lovely long wooden tables. Spacious interior. It feels open and the layout is nice. It fits a lot of people but doesn't feel crowded. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Easily one of the best burgers in Chicago We both got the bad burger, except my friend got it with mac and cheese. The burger was juicy and the bun was soft; didn't feel like I had to unhinge my jaw just to get a bite like with some other burgers. The toppings for the burger paired harmoniously with the patties, with the pickles adding texture and bite. The fries paired with the burger were honestly whatever, but the spicy aoli paired with it elevated eating the fries. We also got an elote app to share. I did enjoy the cheese and corn and how warm and melty they were, but I think it could've gone without the avocado. The mac and cheese though, now that was absolutely delicious. It was gooey and soft, with the breadcrumbs and bacon adding texture and smokiness. The drinks I got, the sylvan and green eyes, were a little strong for me (I prefer sweeter), but nonetheless excellently mixed. If you like strong, classic flavors, these are for you.

Shout out to him for doing the damn thing. Although I would like to mention it was I who named it and claimed it for myself way back in 2001 after a visit to the city for a college conference. However me and my bestie couldn't figure out how to make it happen on a 20,000 labor organizer salary lmao. So we remain on the east coast while my swagger jacking little brother paints the Windy City red. Anyway because he's so in love with this city and knows its in and outs, I often send him dubious "influencer content" of recent transplants that act like just because THEY just Columbus'd a new spot it must be new to EVERYONE. And the recommendations are often awful and likely paid for (extorted). It sends him into a rage which again - we love. My fave kind of terrible content to send him is Top 10 burger spots in Chicago. The lists are often wrong, outdated, and criminally under seasoned. Every once in a while though there is a fleeting moment of alignment and Little Bad Wolf is it. This truly may be the best burger in Chicago. Food: -Wolf burger - egg fried HARD for me -Bad burger - add egg for my brother -Bad burger - as is for my mom -crab cakes - for SIL -mashed potato- for the toddler -Brussels sprouts for the table The patties were well seasoned and melted in my mouth. I adore crispy onion straws. Beer was crisp and refreshing. Service was outstanding Perfect vibe on a midday Monday Bench and chair seating for all bodies. 100% worth the hype! So Little Bad Wolf will always have a place in my heart for various reasons. It's a great little restaurant, with great big service, and a well thought out menu. I typically get my girl dinner here: Caesar salad, fries, and mussels. THEY NEVER MISS. The mussels are delicious and the fries are amazing. My sister and brother in law came into town and they love burgers so of course we took them to Little Bad Wolf. She was pregnant with my niece at the time and we coordinated with the restaurant to hold a cake we had made with pink filling to celebrate their gender reveal. The staff were excited and accommodating and eager to help is with this surprise. I will be back for girl dinner... at least monthly.
Me and my boyfriend brought our friends here who are visiting out of town. We have never been here before and stopped by because of the market nearby. Our waitress was amazing! She was so sweet and attentive, very easy to talk to. We sat outside on their patio, which was clean and had covering overhead. Our food was amazing! The chips were fresh, my favorite was the green salsa dip. The burger was super juicy and flavorful. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. We hope to come back again before summer ends!

Made it back in for a quick motorcycle ride and a burger recently. Got the bad burger and a beer this time and that's way more my jam without all the bells and whistles on it. Really hit the spot! All these years later and the place is still banging. Must be doing things right! Thanks

Had lunch today at Little Bad Wolf in Andersonville and ordered the Bad Burger -- and it was phenomenal! Two juicy patties, American cheese, house-made pickles and red onion mayo. Nothing overly complicated -- just a really well-executed burger. Little Bad Wolf has the accolades to back it up. Time Out ranks its larger Wolf Burger #1 in Chicago, while The Infatuation actually prefers the Bad Burger, saying the simpler version allows the meat to shine. Have you ever heard the story of the Little Bad Wolf... who huffed, and puffed, and blew my socks away because of HOW DELICIOUS of an exerience it was? YUP FOLKS. The Little Bad Wolf isn't just a story... it's a phenom dot com restaurant that you NEED to visit! My family and I visited after a Saturday Cubs game and luckily, there were still a handful of tables available and we were promptly seated. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service! Almost everyone at our table ordered the Wolf Burger after hearing my sister and her husband rave about it. When our orders came to the table, we were all PLEASANTLY surprised at how beautifully stacked and dressed our burgers were. A triple stack of patties, topped with cheese, bacon, a fried egg, crispy onions, and housemade pickles?! That's a recipe for delicious success right there! The Wolf Burger was indeed SCRUMPTIOUS! My goodness, I am still thinking about it two whole days later and how I can't wait to revisit this restaurant and try some more of their menu items. An honorable mention goes out to the delicious fries on the side!! They were the perfect cut, well-seasoned, and out-of-this-world. The Bad Burger and mac & cheese were incredible! The Waldorf salad was laughably huge. It definitely is "substantial" and can feed 2-4 people. The sweetness of the salad made it a great accompaniment to the heaviness and savoriness of the burger and mac. Friendly and efficient service at the bar. Would love to come back again. read more

This was such a great meal after a lovely date night! Found it on Yelp and saw the picture. My partner said I want exactly everything in the pic very delicious! The drinks were tasty; had THC options. The Mac n cheese oh my gawwww. Get it! The burger we shared was a cowboy burger (I think!) the baby bao were tasty but a little pricy. Love this place! Don't love the long waits but worth it for great smash burger(s) and drinks. The fries and corns are so good as well; you really can't go wrong here. Inside, the ambience is darker and more romantic. Outside, it can be a little loud but good to enjoy the summer air. If you're planning on going to the Magic Lounge, this is a great dinner option beforehand! ALSO - LBW's green eyes cocktail is probably my most memorable and favorite cocktail in the city (loved the little bird one at Machine but Machine is no longer open) but I could down 5 of the green eyes drinks in a row. A friend recommended LBW to me for a recent trip to Chicago. I was immediately charmed by the neighborhood, Andersonville, I believe. Very charming. LBW is a large space, with a large bar area plus dining up front, but also a large dining space through an arched hallway. I was seated in the back dining area and realized right away it was too dim to read anything on the menu or take pictures. So, with my phone's light, I checked out the menu. Decided on a beer and attempted to order 1 steak taco and 1 steak bao. However the server recommended the pork bao and I decided to go with that. The beer was excellent. The steak taco was excellent. And the bao was well made, but was entirely too sweet and not a flavor profile I prefer. I wish I'd gone with what I'd originally wanted, but overall, I was cool with the experience. read more

The burgers were outstanding, and absolutely enormous. Come with an empty stomach because finishing one is no small feat. The egg on the Wolf Burger was the highlight, adding incredible richness and flavor. After hearing that Little Bad Wolf has one of y hr best burgers in the city, we absolutely had to check it out. The place is cute with artsy decor and lighting and friendly staff. Good cocktails, too. We got the wolf burger with a side of Mac, one each of the duck and pork baos, and a side of Brussels. The burger absolutely drops up to the expectations. It was big (3 patties), cheesy, had a good amount of bacon, really tasty mayo, lots of onion straws, AND an egg. Just wow. Very close to the best burger I've had in Chicago. The mac & cheese was also definitely worth the upgrade. Just the right amount of crispiness with the breadcrumbs and bacon and the best noodle shape for Mac IMO. Similarly, the Brussels were excellent with the shallots and bacon and crispiness. The baos were the only thing that were a little disappointing. Both were good not great and lacked exceptional flavor, the duck being a little better than the pork. read more
What an amazing dinner we had! To drink we got spicy margaritas and a manhattan. The marg was so good! For food we started with the green curry mussels. We easily ate every single one and all the bread. Loved the pear addition when trying with the mussels. 10/10! For dinner we got the half fried chicken with mashed potato's and gravy. Someone posted on Reddit hating on this and idk what they're smoking because we thought this was so good. It's fried chicken and was done perfectly. The gravy and mashed potatoes were great partners and super tasty! I got some bao buns for dinner. The chicken one was by far my favorite. With the pork one being tasty but a little dry. And the shrimp one is a skip. Next time I'd probably go for chicken and maybe try the steak bun. We loved this dinner, and our server was kind and attentive. read more

Come here hungry because their food will fill you up! We started with the lumpia and Brussel sprouts. The lumpia was surprisingly really good and the sauce it came with just spot on. The brussel sprouts on the other hand, I'd skip. It tasted a little bland and the sauce which was all the way at the bottom wasn't that great. We ended up just dipping it into the lumpia dipping sauce. I got a steak and duck bao bun and a shrimp taco. I wished the shrimp taco had more sauce to bring the taco together. The bao buns were delicious with the duck being a favorite! My friends and husband both got the burgers which were huge! They definitely loved it and were stuffed by the end. They have mocktails and cocktails, the cocktails from what I was told were delicious. I got the summertime sadness mocktail which was so good and my friend even asked if she could get it with alcohol (which they denied). Overall they don't do reservations but we got seated pretty quickly and they have both indoor and outdoor seatings. read more

Little Bad Wolf has a really solid burger. It was incredibly messy as all burgers should be. Loved the fries too. Was already halfway to tipsy from a previous bar, so I ordered an n/a drink called the "Wrong Turn". Super refreshing. While I really enjoyed the food, more than anything I loved the service. There's a waiting spot in the middle of the restaurant for customers to congregate while waiting for their tables to clear out. When two spots opened up at the bar, the hostess came and found us to tell us to hurry and snag them before they got snatched up. Thank you, ma'am. The restaurant was packed on a Fri night, but we only waited for a few minutes before we were able to be seated. read more

We go in the evenings and have not seen any families with kids. However, we've never been or seen adults be carded. I tried calling their number but it's just an voicemail with their hours. I'll try to email them for a reply, or ask next time we go.
