Stopped in here around 7pm on a Wednesday night and they were pretty busy! We snagged the last table otherwise it was just bar seating. Ambiance is like a retro arcade/comic book store vibe. We got garlic knots to start and they're bite sized and delicious. A half order was enough for 4 of us to share. Long overdue Review. My original dinner plans fell through so I noticed that Stop Along wasn't to far so me and my sister headed here. I like how SA is set up with outdoor seating right in front and on the sides and it looks a little divey on the inside, cute neighborhood spot. We were told to sit wherever and immediately handed menus. I knew that I wanted pizza, so I ordered a small Major Payne pizza which comes with pepperoni, jalapeños, garlic and cilantro and sis got the Stop-In burger. Our food came out looking so good and everything tasted on point! My pizza was so good, the pepp had great flavor, the jalapenos were actually spicy and I appreciated the flavor the cilantro added. My sister and I's plan to split our food was immediately thwarted--she took one bite of her burger and suddenly forgot I existed lol but I was able to get a bit and it was delicious. We didn't have the highest expectations bc we've tried all the "best burgers" in Chicago and this hasn't made the list but I'm here to say... it should!! Gets in my top five. I could do without the lettuce but otherwise my husband and I both thought the OG burger was delicious! Good portion and not tooo greasy. I'm usually skeptical when someone tells me a place has both good burgers and pizza, but The StopAlong delivered. Fresh pizza, piping hot out the oven, and a truly tasty burger. We tried the "All the right moves" pizza and the "Stop-in" burger. Both delivered at a high level regarding the taste and quality. I will say the patty was a tad dry even for a smash burger, but it didn't take anyway from anything. Garlic knots were also delicious and very well priced, and a great way to start the evening. We met some friends for dinner and it was the best time! My husband and I had never been here before and we absolutely loved the set up! All the art was beautiful and really tied everything together, brought us right back to our childhood. We each got a burger and it was one of the best burgers I have ever had! With the desire in ordering from somewhere I had not eaten before, the interest in The StopAlong came after a search of 'Beyond Burger' via yelp. At the time, The StopAlong was one of the places that captured my interest, and it just so happened to be ranked number seven during my search. On an evening where I just wanted to take it easy without driving anywhere in my vehicle around Chicago, I ordered online via yelp. Other than the beyond burger, there were not many other items that caught my interest on the menu other than the different variations of pizza which I may or may not try on a different date. It took thirty-nine minutes from the time my order was acknowledged by Grubhub to the arrival of it at my residence. A shout out to the Grubhub delivery driver for making that happen in that astonishing time. I was not expecting the beyond burger to have a side of fries along with it being that it was not advertised online. Now the beyond burger itself looked very delicious! It is a beyond meat patty topped with American cheese, caramelized onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, special sauce, on a brioche bun! As I took each bite of it, I had a smirk on my face in enjoyment. This place has one of the top 5 burgers I've had in the city! We've enjoyed it at Burger Fest two years in a row and finally decided to visit the brick-and-mortar location. Every ingredient was fresh, crispy, and perfectly balanced with each part of the burger. The ambiance was cool, retro, and bright, with TVs to catch the Bears game. Spontaneously decided to go on a walk one night and have an outdoor meal at the Stop Along. We anticipated there might not be enough outdoor seating as we walked over but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. In the warm weather months there are at least 4 tables along their dress up alleyway and another four tables out front between the establishment and bike lanes. We were seated/greeted right away. There were plenty of families with young kiddos and diners sitting outside their pups. We came early enough that their industrious string lights weren't on yet, but I imagine it's such a nice casual ambiance in the later evenings! We ordered their famous stop-in burger and large truffle shuffle to share parked with some limonata and lemonade. Our server was friendly and attentive, and we got a small box to take home our leftover truffle shuffle. The pizza dough was SO TASTY and perfectly baked, and there's a lot of sauce/flavors in their burger. The only thing to make the burger perfection would be more tomatoes (imo!). Next time, I'd love to come back to try their pizzas with hot honey. We couldn't have asked for a better impromptu casual Friday night out. Recently, my husband and I came here with some friends per their suggestion, and we all had a great experience. Upon walking in, I noticed the dining room was smaller than anticipated. Because of this, our group of 6 adults + a baby was difficult since families already took the longer tables. As a result, our party ended up sitting in two different adjoined booths, which kind of sucked, but we made it work. The decor of the dining room is retro and cool. They also apparently have arcade games in the backroom, but our group did not go into the backroom, so I can't comment on that. They also have a cute little patio on the side of their building, which we were planning on sitting at if it wasn't as chilly the day we went. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. She already knew our two friends and their baby because our friends had been there before. She consistently checked in on us and ensured we were content with our food and drinks. She also was helpful because the chef made one of our pizzas too small (which no one in our group noticed), but they ended up giving us an entire small pizza on the house to make up for the mistake. For my drink, I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was okay. I love spicy Bloodys, and this one was a bit more on the tomato sauce side. It wasn't bad by any means, but it was a little bland compared to some I've had. The drink also wasn't garnished with anything but a lemon... most places at least give some bacon, or a celery stick, cheese, or something! Nothing was even seasoned on the rim. Definitely room for improvement. As for food, our group ordered a couple of orders of garlic knots ($13 for each order). These were pretty good, but honestly, they weren't as garlicky as I was expecting. The dough was fresh and soft, but I do wish they were a bit more seasoned. When it comes to pizza, we ordered a large White pizza ($26) and a large All the Right Moves ($29). Both pizzas were great, and I LOVED the doughy risen crust, but if I was going to pick a favorite of the day, it would have to be the White pizza. The White pizza was made with garlic oil, fresh mozzarella, house mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, and pecorino romano. The pizza was flavorful, and the ricotta cheese dollops were heavenly. The All the Right Moves pizza had fresh mozzarella, Ezzo pepperoni, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, basil, hot honey, and spicy tomato sauce. Although this pizza was good, as well, it was a bit wet and messy. The hot honey was admittedly my favorite part of the pizza. I think I would have liked this pizza more if it had all of the same toppings but was a white pizza instead of having red sauce. I think the spicy tomato sauce clashed too much with the flavors of the hot honey and the pepperoni. My husband and our friend ordered the Cluck-Stop Sandwich ($16), which is a citrus-brined grilled chicken breast, mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto, garlic aioli, and a pretzel bun. Both men enjoyed the sandwich, and my husband said it was flavorful and fresh. He would get it again in the future. Overall, I truly enjoyed my first visit here, and I would recommend it to anyone. They have many specialty pizza options, and I can't wait to come back and try more. A very cute burger and pizza joint! The interior is fun, it's very bright and has a playful retro vibe. We heard the burgers here are super good so we had to give it a try! I got the short stop burger with animal style fries and the food was great! The burger was a thin patty (which I like) and I liked the sauce and caramelized onions on top. Not sure if I would consider this the *best* burger in Chicago, but it's definitely good. The animal style fries really tasted like the animal style fries from in n out and I loved all the toppings. Don't be alarmed at all the folks outside as some were waiting for takeout. We got right in a on Friday night but maybe it was luck? This place is busy! If you do an online order, try to get it in early as they stopped taking those orders I think by 8. We ordered 2 large pies and two drinks each which cost about $113. Margaritas were good and it says coldest beer in town but my husband said it could be colder. As for NY style, I will say it was close! Cheese was good, could've had a bit more sauce on his but mine was fine and pie cut Amen!! This was also the first place I didn't have to get garlic powder from the kitchen as it was on the table like salt and pepper Amazing!! The 10" will hurt your feelings so opt for the large unless you are also going to split a burger. They looked huge and were selling! Will have to give the burger a try next time. The crust was thin and maybe could've cooked a bit longer but the pies were flying. We sat for like an hour til our pizza came. They were hustling as you can see them from inside seating. This is one of my low key favorites in Logan Square / Wicker Park, and the owner likes to say he has a better burger than the "other guys" down the street on Milwaukee. I'm not gonna lie: he might be right. This burger is out of control. It's a smash burger and you can get it in two versions: the "Stop In Burger" and "That Other Burger"--which is directly going after that well-known competitor. The "other burger" is crunchy, salty wonderfulness. I guess you can decide for yourself. Pizza is honestly great too... got "All the Right Moves" recently and the hot honey made it. Staff here are amazing. Rye smiles, a little sarcastic, perfect service. I would hang out with these people. And they're a little like the comic book / video game murals on the wall which are simultaneously high art and tongue-in-cheek. The whole vibe is vintage kid references if you're, say... born in the 80s, so it's Star Wars and Pac Man, Wonder Woman & Galaga, Mario & TMNT. When it's warm they do outdoor seating on the sidewalk and in the little alley - only downside is the blue line will drown out your conversation every 10 minutes or so, but if you're used to the city it's not a big deal.
