I am obsessed with this place. The vibe here is lovely. Super chill, super laid back and such a mix of ages and people that wander in. It's comfortable for wandering in after the beach, or cute enough for a relatively dressy date night! The bartenders are awesome, and the drinks are outstanding! Eclectic menu, and great little plates as well. This is absolutely going to become a neighborhood favorite. Already been in multiple times and never been disappointed.

    No idea, but good.

Good little bar in the old Edgewater Hotel, it is literally an old pharmacy. We had some good drinks and the whipped feta was delicious. The service was good, but if you know this area, parking can be a challenge, but they stayed busy with the locals & people coming off the beach..cool spot.

Fantastic neighborhood gem. Great drinks, great staff, beautiful decor, definitely worth checking out

I've passed this spot so many times before and never knew it was a bar! Decided to grab a drink with my sister and this spot popped up as a suggestion on google, so we decided to check it out and I am so glad we did. It's such a cute spot with fantastic drinks and great service. While the place was quite empty, there was something about it that was just so charming (maybe the soft French music playing in the background). Although I enjoyed the drinks and ambiance, I am not sure about their food.

A what gem of a cocktail bar found in Edgewater. Turned bar from an old pharmacy, this place has a unique ambiance that is both welcoming and intriguing. Definitely can see bringing a buddy or two to have a good conversation over better drinks! These bartenders really know their stuff. There is a rotating menu that the bartenders craft. If you're not sure what some of the ingredients are (which I know maybe 10% of them) they will be more than happy to inform you. If you don't know what you want, they would be more than happy to guide you! I got a variety of drinks and there was not one that did not hit the spot. Did I mention the food? Tons of small bits that were delicious. I heavily recommend the whipped feta!

Two years later, it's my local. They know me there, and I love it that way. Here we meet neighbors, family, new friends. Love that you can just straight up, yeah, buy the whole bottle, and take it with you if you don't finish it. But finish it, by sharing! The food is GREAT. Everything I've had on the frequently changing menu is just spot on. One of my favorite places to be during a snowstorm. LOVE IT.

Well they say big surprises come in small packages and La Pharmacie is no exception to the rule. This bar is located in the Edgewater Beach Apartment building, the big pink building you can see from Lake Shore Drive. The bar was at one time an actual pharmacy, serving the community and apartment complex. Looking around the décor, you can see old vestiges of when it was a working pharmacy. That said, this is a small bar with limited seating because it was originally designed as a pharmacy where people walked in and out. There is a bar, a large communal table that seats eight, two high tops that seat four, a bench along the wall with small tables that could seat maybe three, and what looks like to be an outdoor bistro patio seating for four in the window. My first impression walking into the joint was that I was in some small bar in Paris. It was just a vibe I got based on my past experiences. Honestly I had no idea this place existed. From the outside, the storefront windows looked more like a museum piece, with displays showing items from back in the day when the pharmacy was open as well as other items from that time period. So imagine my surprise when a co-worker of The Doctor's recommended this place. So glad she did. The overall atmosphere is adorable and the type of intimate settings that I like. Because of the location, parking will be tough as this is located on Sheridan Road and Bryn Mawr. There is a small frontage road next to the hotel that is separated from Bryn Mawr going to LSD, but good luck parking there. While I did luck out and get a spot, I don't expect that to happen the next time I go. I have located a couple of places around the bar where I could do Spot Hero next time for $6 and will just do that to avoid the stress of trying to park I am not a cocktail person, but The Queen was very impressed with their selections. She ended up getting a Shibuya Crossing (Matcha, Gin, Midori, Lime, Lemon, Honey-Ginger Syrup, Ginger Beer). I am not a fan of matcha, so I did not like it, but The Queen had three and was going for a fourth one, but they did not have any more matcha. She switched to The Madison (Tequila, Ginger Liqueur, Lavender Syrup, Lemon, topped with Prosecco Rose) and enjoyed that one as well. This one I did like very much. For food, the menu is small and ever changing. When The Doctor's co-worker mentioned this place, she spoke about these great meatballs that they have...those were not on the menu, but they did have these great tacos which is what we ordered: Chipotle BBQ Beef (with chipotle aioli), Shrimp Tempura (with spicy mayo) and the Pulled Pork (with cilantro-lime crema). All were $5 each and very good. Have to say that the BBQ Beef was my favorite, very flavorful. We also got a fig and bacon flatbread, which was lovely as well. The dollop of ricotta was a nice complementary addition to the flatbread. We later discovered that the cocktail and bites menu is constantly changing, so what is on there now may be different down the road. This was definitely a lovely discovery for us and definitely will make the rotation list of place for us to hang out. Service was nice and our server, Curtis, was attentive and friendly. With the closure of the Signature Room, The Queen was thinking that this could be a new chill hangout for her. But we will be back.

The folks that work here are fantastic. The drinks are A+ and we always enjoy the snacks. Great cozy place to get through the Chicago winter with friends!

This cute cocktail bar is right off the corner where you enter Lakeshore drive off of Bryn Mawr so it may be easy to miss. With that being said, it can be tough to find parking in Edgewater, but this spot is definitely a gem for locals who live in the area. This place maintained the integrity of an old pharmacy while still making the ambience very cozy and cafe-like. Food was surprisingly good and cocktail list has a lot to choose from with a lot of unique ingredients. There were 2 of our cocktails that tasted too similar, but overall a nice spot to chat with some friends over drinks. On top of that service was super attentive and welcoming.

Great service, inventive and beautiful seasonal cocktails, surprisingly delicious small plates. I always enjoy stopping by La Pharmacie and checking out what cocktails are on their rotating menu. Service is always great, atmosphere is lively but classy and not too loud. Good spot for a sit-down after dinner drink.

I love accidentally finding unique little spots. La Pharmacie is just that. Set on street level of the iconic pink high rise Edgewater Beach Apartments, this vintage pharmacy turned night spot, takes you back to the roaring twenties instantly. The rounded front window, black & tan floor, classic bar and original pharmacy cabinetry brings you back to a time where fun was number one. When I walked to the ladies restroom the long hallway that has not been touched, I saw classic elegance. Still pristine, it lead me to the restroom that was also lost in time. Just lovely. The food menu is on the small side but offered delicious bites. We tried a variety of tacos and loved them. The specialty craft cocktail menu is diverse. Fun names and quality ingredients wowed both me and my friend. The two bartenders and server were all very friendly. The chatted us up about the vision for La Pharmacie and the history behind the location. They really made our experience even better. Street parking is sparse but there is a public parking garage attached to the building. I saw a bus stop too. The beautiful history that shines through every inch of this unique spot brings you back, allowing good times instantly. I cannot wait to return.

Stacked unapologetically high, this burger is everything you want and more: juicy, perfectly seared patties layered with melty cheese, crispy bacon, and those golden, crunchy fried onions that take it completely over the top. Every bite is rich, savory, and just messy enough to remind you you're eating something seriously good. The toasted bun somehow holds it all together (barely), soaking up every bit of flavor without getting lost in the chaos. And then... the shoestring fries. Thin, crispy, golden perfection--light but addictive, with that ideal crunch that makes it impossible to stop at just one (or ten). They're the kind of fries you keep reaching for without even realizing it, especially dipped in that creamy, tangy sauce on the side. And let's not forget the drinks--just as good as the food. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the kind you sip slow while taking it all in (but somehow they disappear way too fast). It's not just a burger--it's one of Chicago's most iconic bites for a reason. Bold, indulgent, and absolutely worth every single napkin you'll need after. The ambiance inside is GORGEOUS!

Loved the 90s female R&B playlist they had going! Little Bad Wolf has been on my list FOR YEARS to try the burger! My husband got the burger with fried onions and I got some Bao because those also looked delicious and were a popular menu item. Honestly the 3 stars are only that high because of the service. Our server was friendly and attentive + the food came out hot and quick. Unfortunately, the food was pretty disappointing. The burger was swimming in a puddle of grease and just picking it up made your hands greasy + was dripping grease. The fries that came with it were floppy, soggy, and sad...but at least warm? I personally wouldn't order this again. The Bao were better, but small for the price and honestly were just okay? It was nice they gave you sauces you could add, but I found the Bao's to already have enough sauce so I didn't need them. Overall I left feeling confused and disappointed. I don't feel the need to come back here - Little Bad Will was a one and done experience for me.

It's not flashy, it is less busy, and if you don't know... sneeze and you'll miss it. The vibe is dark and moody, with notes of brown and dark blue. The art also fits the overall atmosphere well. I question, however, the large TV screen that seemingly only shows their name. It's not intrusive, just a bit weird. However, it was so dark that seeing the menu was more challenging than it needed to be. I can light it up with my phone, though I do (and did) so at the risk of being 'that guy'. Top-down lighting folks, I see the lamps up there, too! I ordered: - Oysters (4 as-is, 4 with mignonette on the side) - Duck Gnocchi - Sticky Toffee Pudding The oysters were medium-sized and excellent quality! They were delightfully briny and without a hint of cartilage or sand. The first order came with mignonette, and while enjoyable, being a bit of a purist, I put on a second order with mignonette on the side. Sure enough, I found myself adding it of my own accord. All the more evidence the kitchen knows what it's doing! Further proof? The Duck Gnocchi - the gnocchi themselves were soft and pillowy, more so than I've experienced up to this point. The duck in the dish was tender and soft as can be. The veggies (mirepoix) were sliced and cooked perfectly, adding texture, freshness and bulk (fiber?) without overpowering anything. To top it all off, breadcrumbs for a little crunch, and a mild sauce that tied everything together in perfect harmony. For the most important course, dessert, we have the Sticky Toffee pudding. A well cooked, well sauced helping of pudding, topped with a large scoop of ice cream that slowly melted, transforming the flavor as you go. For drinks, I ordered the Charred Boulevardier and the Burnout. The Boulevardier was rich, sweet and savory, in contrast the Burnout was brighter and fresher, and still boozy. While neither drink was a smack to the face with alcohol, after getting up, I could feel the effects. In terms of their service, it was polite and attentive, and all items came out fast! The prices are okay, though if you love oysters, keep in mind they will set you back $4/each! Final verdict: There is nothing at The Good Wolf that I wouldn't happily order again. It is hard to choose a standout when everything was of a high caliber. I look forward to working my way through their menu, and continuing to feed the good wolf (props is you know the story of the Two Wolves).

It was also approachable, lightly herbaceous, with a little sweetness and acid. Between us, was this among my favorites? No. However, this is more a matter of personal taste than something technically or otherwise wrong. I prefer cocktails that are bolder and more spirit forward. My advice is to talk to your bartender and find something you will enjoy most. To help not drink on an empty stomach, I ordered the Crispy Shrimp Tacos. The Peachy Green reminded me of a green tea shot in drink form, perfect for spring and summer. I got my favorite mac and cheese with crispy chicken, and my friend got Brussels for her appetizer, which were delicious. For our entrees, we had the teriyaki burger and shrimp tacos. They were pretty good, just get a side of teriyaki if you love sauce like I do. We ended the night with a cookie skillet and brownie, perfect! Chris was an amazing server, can't wait to return.
