This place is just ok. In a pinch, I would come back. Simply because it's the closest in between me and my family. $26.95 for AYCE. Let's start there. Pretty pricy when you consider that comparable AYCE joints charge $22.99-24.99. Then when you consider all the "appetizers" such as chicken wings that they charge extra for, you realize it's really pricy. What really grinds my gears is the customer service. When we first got there it was pretty busy, dinner time. Understandable that things takes slower to bring out than normal, but when you don't receive your sodas until after almost an hour in, it becomes a problem. Then our server kept forgetting about other stuff we've ordered such as meats or kimchi. I'm a very patient person, I let it slide, but at this point, they weren't even busy anymore. At one point, he put down an order on our table that I knew wasn't ours to switch the grill and forgot it there. My cousin had to hand it back to him when he passed again to remind him that he misplaced someone else's order. I tip fairly well, but I wasn't going to tip 18% knowing I spent a big chunk of my time there waiting for something. I didn't know that gratuity was mandatory for a party of 5. I always thought it was 6 and up, but that's probably their policy. I don't mind tipping 18% ever, but please let your service reflect that. read more

Food is 5/5. Service is 3/5. Always reserve! Ohgane here in Concord is just as delicious as the place on Telegraph. Just not as hard of traffic to get to (and next to a Quickly). As a couple: Order every single thing you can in the beginning! They are always so busy. They have a button so don't forget to hit that if you forget to initially order something or want more! As a group: I wouldn't recommend it. But if you do, TALK IT OVER BEFORE YOU ORDER. I had a group of 15 last week (3 tables put together.) The first table got their items ordered and received 30 minutes before anyone else. They took about an hour just to take the 3rd tables order. Everyone had already ate at the other tables. I completely understand that 15 is a huge group. But we reserved two weeks in advance and only had one server. He was all over the place and forgot the 3rd tables food twice! Poor and slow service, average meats. Our female waiter was super inattentive, she barely stopped by our table and we frequently flagged down other waiters for service. She had improper etiquette of where to put raw plates of meat, like next to the plate you're eating on. Probably explains the food poisoning I got soon thereafter. Wish I had read the other reviews of those who had a similar experience. Ban chan was decent compared to the meat. The rib eye steak came out frozen and very bland. Unfortunately we will continue to find another kbbq spot. Also loud EDM music. read more

Really great options for all you can eat kbbq. Going during dinner time with a large party, means a really long wait and limited service because it gets really busy. So, Father's Day Dinner. Originally went to Gen's and got hit with the 1-1.5 hrs of wait time at 5:30PM. Yeah pops wasn't gonna wait that long to eat so looked up whats around and to my delight, found Ohgane. I'm a huge fan of the spot in Oakland so decided to call to see about wait time and they said 8 ppl ahead at this moment. Done. Left Gen for Ohgane. Got there, signed in, and got seated in less than 20 mins. Amazing so far. Once seated, all normal korean side dishes are there. Our server asks us food orders and drinks, we ordered 3 items of meats, 4 small plates and 2 beers. Being an avid kbbq-goer, I asked the guy do we need to split up the order in 2 due to a limit, he says no it will all come out in one full swoop. OK! Here's where hell starts: - He brings out the beers, 4 glasses. Proceeds to drop and shatter a glass in front of my mother and glass pieces went all over the dishes and side plates. No biggie right? Accidents happens. We simply ask him to bring us a whole new set of sides and new plates as we had salad on our plates already since we don't know if any pieces of glasses might've gotten in there. he said yes. Left. And NEVER. CAME. BACK. - We had to flag down a person who was setting up the table behind us, after waiting for 10 mins, to get new sets of plates and utensils. He must be busy, no biggie the food is here. - Missing 2 side dishes. Ok KBBQ spots miss items all the time, let's just eat, wait, and see if it comes later, if not, re-order when the server comes back around yeah? - NEVER. COMES. BACK. Not even to check in, not even to take our order. We ate our original order FOR AN HOUR. He's nowhere in sight. - We even stockpile our empty plates and dishes on our table to easy take away. NOBODY came to pick up dirty/empty plates. FOR AN HOUR.... - So we flag down someone to change our grill (first time in an hour so imagine how burnt that thing is). Ordered our 2nd round, I look around and I see him serve 4 other tables. WHAT. THE. EFFFN. HELL. - We finish our 2nd order in 15 mins. My parents were full and only person eating left was my lady and I. - Flagged down a random server and asked him for our 3rd round of order and a grill change. He takes down the order, goes to change the grill and drops TWO ENTIRE BOTTLE OF SESAME OIL INTO THE OPEN FIRE PIT..... -_- - Now oil is dripping onto the floor beneath our feet. We pointed it out and asked to change tables. No response. They cleaned up as much as they can and brought out our 3rd round of order. BUT STILL LEFT THE PUDDLE OF OIL ON THE FLOOR..... So, after waiting to see if our original server would have enough decency to check in on his table after seeing such an incident. NOPE. Never came around and NOBODY cleaned up the floor. I had enough and asked for a manager. Told him everything and he apologizes and quickly got one of the female staff (seems like a a supervisor) to come over to ensure everything was good moving forward. Told her about the oil, she personally cleaned it up. I pointed out that the 2nd server that we've been randomly flagging down has been great, even his oil spilling incident was fine as it was truly an accident. 20 mins later, our first server came around and had to nerve to ask "IF I WAS YOUR ORIGINAL SERVER?" I said "YES, you were." He asked "if everything was ok?" I said "No, I haven't seen you for an hour and we're still missing food from our first order." He tries to justifies it. Too late for check ins man. Keep it moving. We finished our food while my father asked for a glass of ice water (I DIDNT EVEN NOTICED THAT THEY NEVER BROUGHT US WATER WHILE EVERY OTHER TABLE HAS ONE). My father NEVER got the water he asked for. At that point we cancelled our 4th order and asked for the check. Now. At this point, after hearing EVERYTHING a customer just told you. As a manager of a restaurant, you should take care of the customer just a bit right? WRONG!! Full price. No discount. No nothing. Ok, no harm no foul. I am not cheap or am I hurting for money to care about monetary incentives. But c'mon. It's the principal of it all. As a client have said on Yelp, I'd rather spend 3x as much than to ever come back here again. TRASH ASS CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OBLIVIOUS MANAGEMENT. I left a tip for the 2nd server. Handed him $20 cash and thanked him for making the best of a HORRIBLE situation he was headed into. Tipped the entire $140 bill a total of $0.19 (just because I have a thing for making numbers even). FIRST AND LAST TIME to this location. If I ever come back here, it will be because I was forced by the company I keep. NEVER again on my own accord. read more

This KoreanBBQ PLACE IS THE BOMB! They have wonderful interior design so the moment you open the door the first thing you see (besides the grills and tables) are the lights. They are beautiful upside-down flower lights. Aside from the interior, the service was very fast, even when busy. We went back a couple of weeks ago on Saturday for lunch. The place was empty at first so for a while we were the only ones there. Ther service was terrible! And this time the meats were stringy. We came around 8 on a Friday night. Your party is seated in regards to whether you're planning to eat bbq or regular. We opted for BBQ so we had to wait no more than 15 minutes. Regular tables without the grill had no wait. This place is AYCE for ~$27 for dinner. My boyfriend and I have been to the Oakland location before but did not find it so pleasant. We thought the taste was bland and the cuts of the meat way too thick. Our server was nice and was attentive to your needs. We ordered a lot of meat cuts and I particularly enjoyed the brisket. Ohgane doesn't have sauce for bbq meat. Most of their meat aren't chewable. The pork cuts are so thick that it takes so long to bbq. Their service is terrible. They are stingy with garlic bulgogi. Everytime I ordered garlic bulgogi, the service staff gave regular bulgogi. read more

EXTREMELY DIRTY!!! No apologies from the wait staff either. When the tongs came out, there was sauce on ALL 3 tongs (most likely from a different table that just left.... It was as if they took it straight out of the dirty pile. Next came the scissors ( I'll try to post a pic and notice in the picture that the pan chans are still new and the grill is still new. Point is, we haven't used the scissors yet).... They came out and weren't washed either! It's like they dunked it in dirty water and that was it. Our plates were splotchy and we had to scrape food bits off the chopsticks. At this point, we didn't bother asking for new ones because we were starting to feel embarrassed constantly asking for clean dishes. Seriously, one by one, we kept finding more gross things. Our cups were so gross that I went to the bakery next door to buy everyone bottled waters! The food was OK. Seasoning was a bit bland but they have a jar of salt/pepper mix at every table! We ordered short ribs which were good. Pork belly, spicy pork, tongue, rib eye, octopus and soup which were all bland. I'm not a food expert by any means. I don't even really believe in that since we all have different palets but I know what I like for myself. I'm sure we all can agree on clean cutlery and utensils?? Anyway, we came in hungry and left disappointed along with feeling a bit grossed out. Definitely not going back since they have already received a health inspection notice to be more sanitary MONTHS ago and still haven't complied it seems. Basically, since Gen (another K-BBQ restaurant) opened up right up the street, they "updated" their restaurant to adding those bright blue lights on the wall and really loud music that makes you feel like you're at the club so that they'd stay competitive. I get it. I do. I just dont like what they've done. For those who come here with kids, this isn't a family friendly restaurant anymore. It's directed towards the young, hip crowd and completely neglecting those who come here for a decent family dinner on a Sunday. Great place, they recently changed the ambiance with a darker setting and installed some lights. Came here on the weekend where they open up the back room for larger parties. The food was very good my favorite was the thin strips of pork belly, which were small and had a blast of flavour. Service was great I had a guy named Shobir who came promptly and gave us whatever we needed. He also recommended the soju drinks, so we tried the strawberry and the green apple and both were fantastic. read more

The food is the Bomb! We come here at least twice a month all the way from Brentwood. All you can eat table grill. Get the LA short ribs!! Soooo good and most places charge extra for short ribs and they don't here! That's a + for me! You can't go wrong here. read more

It also helps there's a small button in the corner of the tables to get the attention of servers when you want to order more meat/side dishes. We'll for sure eat here again! Servers were also very friendly and recommended a lot. FOOD: A big variety of seasoned and non-seasoned meats and decent selection of sides like corn cheese, vegetables, jap chae, and potstickers. Really delicious food at affordable prices! MAKE A RESERVATION: Highly recommend you make a reservation on Yelp or by calling the restaurant. PARKING: This can be a bit difficult. There's onsite parking but it's a small lot and fills up fast during peak hours. You could also do street parking. A good garage is the SP+Parking Garage on 4008 Howe Street. This Ohgane is much better than the one in Oakland! They give you larger portions and I'd say that the service is much better here too compared to Oakland. If you don't go with AYCE korean bbq, then you really should try their pork belly wraps! The only negative I can think of is that this place is a bit pricy, but Korean food is generally more expensive in the Bay Area compared to So-Cal. Plenty of parking and there isn't much of a wait as long as you don't go during prime dinner hours. read more

My husband and I came here for a late lunch recently on a Saturday. It wasn't during lunch rush hours but more like 2pm. The service was very slow for not being busy (we would understand that if it was busy and they were slow). We asked 6 times within 30 minutes for the sauce trays and after the 6th time someone finally gave it to us. After that we placed our AYCE orders multiple times we would have to tell the staff that we are missing this and that are still waiting on this and that. But honestly, it wasn't just us, it was other customers as well. Other customers around us would tell the staff "we are still waiting on our orders to come out". This place has a "call" button which is supposed to have a staff member come by when you press it but, I honestly think the staff just ignore it. Also, check your bill, they may over charge you as they did to us. They charged us for an extra beer. We had to tell them and they looked at us thinking we were lying.
