I've been wanting to try this place for years based on the reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. Quite a busy takeout scene on a Wednesday evening, but the staff was friendly and efficient. I tried the new Spicy Garlic Chicken Teriyaki, and it was quite good. Spice level was right on and even more garlic would have been great. I'd go 5 stars, but the price is just a little more than was I'm accustomed to paying for something similar elsewhere. Either way, I wouldn't hesitate to return. read more

My friend told me about Ohana a couple months ago and I'm so glad he did. It's close to my house but I'd never thought to try it for some reason. It's easily the best teriyaki restaurant I've been to. I tend to judge teriyaki by the beef and they do it perfectly, tender flavorful and good portions. Not only is the beef choice, the chicken and pork is also top notch. The sauce is good and the rice is moist and sticky. Meals come with a fresh salad with the classic sweet dressing. I also recommend the chicken curry. The spice is perfect and it's loaded with meat. Based on other reviews I've read about them, everything is good and I look forward to trying other dishes in the future. The place is small so takeout is probably best. read more

Prices and portions can't be beat! I worked late tonight and that means I do not cook. I wanted to try Ohana's out since they opened and tonight was the night! I asked the gal what ban chan was, because you get 2 per order. She happily went over all the options. (Ban Chan is a small Korean side dish.) They have like 5 options; I can't remember all of them, but I chose the macaroni & spicy cucumbers for my husband's order. For mine, I asked if I could skip them and just get more rice. With a smile, she said yes! She was so friendly! I was impressed at the get go! The cost for the 2 meals (spicy chicken teriyaki and regular chicken teriyaki.) was $16.91. What a steal!!! I remembered I didn't tell her I didn't want a salad so I went up to the counter and told her to skip the salad on mine, she said sure do you want more rice? Yes! Nice! Food came out quickly, about 10 minutes. I couldn't get home quickly enough! The teriyaki smelled so good! And no surprise, it's GREAT! Good level of spicy, and NO fatty cartilage pieces! Spam musabi! I love this stuff and most teriyaki places don't have it. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The amount of food you get for the price is amazing! Make sure you come with a appetite or grab a leftover box. My boyfriend comes here a lot. I got the regular chicken katsu and he got the spicy chicken katsu. I tried this place based on the reviews but was disappointed. I had the beef bulgogi and the kids had chicken teriyaki. The bulgogi had no bulgogi sauce and so was rather bland. The kids said the teriyaki was ok, but still preferred Yummy teriyaki. Toshi's in Mill Creek is still the best teriyaki in the area I've tried. Unfortunately, as happens from time to time, the previous owners did an excellent job setting up this restaurant for success, but then sold it to new management who for some reason decided to change a bunch of things. Although the restaurant looks the same, the new management has changed many of the recipes, reduced portions, and seems to be using lower-quality ingredients. After 3 visits to the newly managed Ohana, I'm sad to say that they don't seem to have gotten back into the groove they used to have. The food is reminiscent of what it used to be, but just kind of worse in every way now. Also worth mentioning that the new staff does not seem as friendly or skilled as the previous owners. Stumbled upon this gem a couple weeks ago and I've been back three times since! It has quickly become my favorite teriyaki place in Lynnwood! Food is absolutely delicious! My favorites are beef short ribs, chicken yakisoba and KIMCHI FRIED RICE!! The short ribs are marinated to the right amount of savory and sweetness, grilled to perfection. So juicy and tender! Chicken yakisoba's portion is super generous! I like the perfect amount of tanginess in the sauce they use for yakisoba, good chicken teriyaki stir fried with the noodles. One portion can feed me 3 meals! Now, the kimchi fried rice is the BEST*EVER! Definitely the best I've ever had in the US, period. A lot of kimchi fried rice I've had lack kimchi flavor but Ohana's kimchi fried rice is the real deal. They put enough kimchi and kimchi juice in the fried rice, makes all rice covered in kimchi aroma! With spam and an egg on top, you just can't beat it! If you love kimchi, you HAVE to give this kimchi fried rice a try, I like ordering mine without the mixed veggies. We had Kim Chee Fried Rice and a Chicken Katsu and Teriyaki Chicken plate. All very good! I moved to Lynnwood and was looking for the good restaurant near my house. I got Ohana Teriyaki in yelp recently. I went there twice. For the first time, I bought dinner to go for my family. After having the following food, we all love it. Delicious! Kimchee Fried Rice (added 3 eggs) Katsu Curry. For the second time, I bought lunch to go for my family. This time, we felt disappointed a little bit about Bul-Go-Ki and Bi Bim Bap . We have had Bi Bim Bap in many Korean restaurants and we don't like the way they make. Bul-Go-Ki is just okay. NEW MANAGEMENT I used to go here a few times a week when they first opened and everything was great, the owner was very friendly and the food was fantastic. Months later I decide to try Ohana again and when I called the lady who answered was very rude and told me I couldn't make a special request that I used to get every single time I came here. (Which was no veggie in my fried rice, which also leads me to believe they don't make it fresh for every meal anymore) When I walked in and walked up to the counter the lady said nothing to me and proceeded to act like she didn't see me while doing whatever she was doing, finally after 5-10 minutes of standing with no greeting she finally takes my money with little conversation. The prevoius management's food was on point. The Japanese spicey chicken yakisoba had a homemade flavor to it. The veggies tasted fresh and the noodles were wet with a sweet and savoury sauce. New management's noodles are dry and sticky, veggies tastes under cooked and processed. Their sauce taste like vinager. This is the best teriyaki I have had in a long time and I have been searching. If you dine-in or are waiting for your food, there is free tea and miso soup -- both were also very good. Such a let down! I'll start this by saying I love spicy food and my hubby loves it more than myself. I have been eating teriyaki since I was 10. I have ordered spicy chicken teriyaki many many times in my life. I ordered it here and it was inedible. The amount of chili sauce that was on there...... holy hotness. I was so hungry that I literally washed my chicken off in a strainer in the sink and it was still not edible. My hubs and couldn't eat more than 4 bites without sweating. I ended up having to throw it away. I had the macaroni salad with it which was bland and boring. I was so excited to finally try this since the reviews were so great. Excellent teriyaki joint with large portions! I've been mostly bored with teriyaki for a while, but I discovered that this place is much much better than your average teriyaki joint. They have good quick service, decent prices, an excellent assortment of teriyaki and other Asian menu items, and they also have large portions. This place is a great option for me when I need something relatively healthy and hearty to power me through a day of manual labor. I will definitely be coming back here again. This place is great, the only thing I've had in the last couple of years is their spicy chicken Katsu. It's fairly heavily breaded, and tossed in a semi sweet and spicy sauce. I've found that it is also delicious dipped in their salad dressing, so I always order an extra. Once you buy the Chicken Katsu, get it home and eat it quickly! You don't wanna let it sit too long, otherwise the crispy part of the chicken gets too wet. Everything else I've had here has been great, I just don't remember what it all was, cause it's been a while since I strayed from my favorite! My personal favorite is the chicken Katsu the chicken is always crispy and is never dry and the Katsu sauce really nails it as my favorite meal at this establishment. They recently added bento to the menu and the amazing bento is in close contention to taking the spot as my favorite dish there. The gyoza stands out the most for the bento box for me the crispy outer shell combined with the juicy hot stuffing inside with the addition of the gyoza sauce is something I've never been disappointed with. Best teriyaki in the Bothell area. First owner were great, the second not so much and left quickly, the third owners bring back the food quality. Teriyaki is competitive and it is easy to identify Subaru but difficult to rise above the average. However, Ohana is able to rise above the rest. If you with 15mins drive this place I would recommend this teriyaki place over others. Spicy chicken, Katu chicken, Kung Pao chicken, bibimbap, family fest, curry, Katu curry, spicy curry, and udon are all good dishes here. Katsu curry is really inconsistent. The katsu is always deliciously crunchy and flavorful but the curry itself tends to be not good. It tastes like they dumped a container of frozen vegetables in the curry and mixed it with the sauce. It's not good, there shouldn't be peas in katsu curry. Keep it to potatoes, carrots and onions and I'd increase this rating a lot. read more
