I had gotten out of work and found myself in need of a place that could house me for 2 hours before I met up with friends to watch The Joker. I was driving along Crenshaw Blvd when I saw the big, bright, pink building for Pinky's Hot Box. If you follow me, you already know that's MY TYPE!! Spicy chicken in any form- sign me up. So, I made a spontaneous (aka illegal) u-turn and entered the lot. It was full, sad day. So, I exited and entered the lot adjacent to it. Lucky me, someone was leaving their spot, otherwise that would have been game over. I parked my booty (car) in a spot, and my other booty needed to use the restroom, so I made an executive decision to enter Offset Coffee for a brew and a bathroom break! I never left hahah! I ordered a hazelnut latte and sat to do some work. The wifi was kindly displayed at the bottom of their menu and there was a simple enough menu where I wasn't overwhelmed at the counter. I'm not a huge coffee drinker, most are too bitter for me. This little hazelnut coffee was a cute, sweet, little cloud of perfection. It paired nicely with my to-do list and provided a great eye opener, better than my eyelash curler. And it was pretty cheap! That's the other thing that sets me back from ordering coffee, but this was pretty reasonable. 10/10 would recommend! The only thing I would complain about is the lack of parking, but that's not in their control. Check Offset out! read more

Fabulous drinks and friendly customer service. It's a tiny little shop in an unassuming location. The oat milk latte was the perfect start to my morning travels and my friend really enjoyed her apricot iced tea. The barista was busy crafting drinks but still made time to talk to customers and they seem to have a lot of regulars... We recently went to offset coffee roasters on a whim because it was on the way. I am so glad that we went! I got the lavender matcha which was delicious. Not too sweet or bitter which can be a hard balance. My husband had the coffee and really enjoyed it. The baristas were very knowledgeable on coffee and were friendly. We also got some of their toasts which were really tasty but the crust was difficult to bite through or cut. Overall would definitely recommend. read more

Disappointed....... I used to frequent this spot because it is good and I much rather support a small business than a large chain. I ordered ahead today to pick up on my way to work and despite being "early" my order was ready and waiting. I grabbed it and walked back to my car. I could not help but think that something was wrong with my $7 breakfast sandwich because there was absolutely no sense of heat coming off the packaging. I get in the car, head down the road to work and low and behold, the sandwich is cold and hard as if it sat out since yesterday. GROSS!!!! The cheese is so cold, it is like jello. I's disappointed and disgusted. The 2 stars are for the iced latte they left ready for me without a straw....... and 2 fingers for the deuces because I won't be back. The bread is tasty but it's a super skinny slice, not substantial at all. The avo toast has no seasoning, needs some salt. (I asked for tomatoes on the side, so my photo is not because they did a sloppy job) The lox toast is nothing special, again disappointing because of the size, price, and overall unimpressiveness. On a slow day with perfect weather it's calming to sit out, savor the drink and just watch cars passing by. Plenty of shade. The campfire mocha tasted exactly like mocha. It sits underneath a thicker than usual layer of smooth, velvety microfoam. A tad rich and fluffy with the swell of sweetness making you think of s'morse in a latte just without the s'mores taste. Offset coffee is the long overdue perfect coffee shop that the South Bay has been needing. As a regular when I'm in town, I've been continuously impressed by the staff's extreme kindness. They're always happily greeting customers, offering to make drink recommendations, accommodating special requests, and even going out of their way to offer my dog pupcups of whipped cream when she visits. The menu has all of the classics as well as some tasty unique drink options and seasonal menu items. They also have a solid list of syrup flavor options and milk substitutions. In addition to kind service in store, they also give the option to order ahead of time on the app. Pro tip: be sure to sign up for their rewards system so that you can earn points and get a free treat on your birthday! The parking lot can be a bit difficult on a crowded day, but they do have a dedicated lot for parking right across from in-and-out. The sign is a bit confusing as it only reads "Coffee" rather than the full business name. They also offer seating both inside (2 tables + some high tops) and outside. read more

My new go to coffee shop in the South Bay! The quality of coffee here is amazing, and they have some unique offerings like nitro vanilla latte and nitro passion fruit tea. They also offer a wide variety of eclectic unique pastries (sweet potato pastry anyone?), and yes, the much maligned millennial avocado toast (for sub $10 at least!). Service is also always upbeat, pleasant, and helpful (even when you ask them to go through/describe their many pastries as alas there are no descriptive signs!). This place has exploded in popularity since they first opened; by 11am on a Sunday they were out of their drip coffees. They're also usually out of pastries by early afternoon. They usually have bags of coffee for sale too. Roasters such as 49th Parallel, Cat & Cloud, and Heart! It is very small though. Don't expect to grab a table inside. Of the several times I've been here they've always been taken up. A decent amount of seating outside though, which will be good come summer time. Located off Crenshaw Bl in Torrance this is in the small area where Yellow Fever is at so parking is very limited with the few stores in this little lot area. This place is small three tables inside one bench and a couple tables outside and a bar top type table with chairs outside. They also have a little squared place with pastries. I got the lavender latte as recommended by my co worker and it did not disappoint I loved it I would get it again and recommend it. The pastry I got was three small donut like looking thing with cream in the center almost like a mini cream filled Malasada it was good. It is a pricy place but I'll come back again for the latte maybe a croissant next time. Just be wary of parking especially in the morning hours I think this place gets busy when the first open cause the pastries are fresh. read more

I love this new café!! The staff is always super friendly and welcoming, which is especially nice for first-time customers, decor is simple but aesthetic and pleasing to the eye, and they're menu is easily comprehensible but just big enough for you to explore and try new drinks. Offset has become my new favorite coffee place! My go-to drink is their iced vanilla latte with oat milk, priced at $5.50. This specific drink tastes almost identical to the Boy and the Bear's (another café in Redondo Beach) iced vanilla latte with oat milk, which was my previous favorite, but Offset is closer and I prefer the vibes. Some details to know for first-timers... * All of their espresso drinks contain 2 shots * They only have one drink size, which is about the equivalent to a grande at Starbucks (Offset PLEASE get bigger sizes in soon) * They DO have studying space BUT it is very limited. And yes sometimes that is good so they have focused and mastered items. They do have a turmeric latte which is different. I went with a hazelnut iced latte. It was really good. Not overbearing sweet, the coffee tasting smooth with the milk. It was good, for $5. Unable to order a larger size but the size is about a 12oz cup. (I'm probably wrong on the size, sorry if so). They have alternate milk choices. Parking is horrible as always with establishments on that side of Crenshaw. They were really friendly and helpful. They also have pastries. I liked my drink but I just didn't see myself wanting to comeback because I really enjoyed my drink. That is why I did a 3/5 stars. I'll check it out if more is added to the menu. read more
