I came in to get a simple price tag template printed--nothing fancy, just needed the correct size and quality. I dropped off my file expecting the usual process, where the staff asks a few questions to make sure everything comes out right. But the woman working that night barely said anything. She took the print, gave me a receipt, and sent me on my way. So I'm thinking, "Cool, she knows what she's doing." Wrong. When I picked it up, the tags were completely the wrong size. No one had confirmed the dimensions with me, and apparently, they don't take the time to help customers double-check before printing. That would've saved everyone a lot of trouble. Thankfully, the supervisor at least tried to fix it, but honestly... the final job was still subpar. Then the print manager comes in, and while he did offer a refund, he had a nonchalant attitude like fixing my order was an inconvenience. I basically had to make him help me. And then, the lady who initially made them wrong had the nerve to suggest I should be paying more for the fix?? Like, ma'am - be serious. Unbelievable! I promise I'm not a throwing a "Kevin" fit but man... Office Depot scammed me bad and the customer service is terrible. There computer systems are still super outdated. Might as well use a typewriter. Long story short. There "VIP" rewards is so bad. I had signed up for this membership and what I got was a scam. I had saved up 11+ ink cartridges to get a few store credit to use. I went to a Katy location to turn these cartridges in and the process to get these points was so confusing. The lady explaining it me was more confused than I was. She said in order to get these points for cartridges I needed to spend $20 in store for these points to show up. So I got some printer paper and she said that In 24 hours the points would appear in my membership. A month later today, I go to this store to try to redeem my points to get more ink. The cashier says yea no you have no points as she points at the outdated computer system. So I tell her how those points should be on my profile and she says she can't do anything about it. So out of a respectable frustration I told her this is unfair and unacceptable. So she brings me to her manager the second and only person in the store. I waited 30+ minutes to talk to the man. During this wait, there was lady who was very unhappy about her print order. She was complaining about her placing a print order 2 days ago and yet it was not printed ready for pick up. She said she came in earlier to pick up and was told it would be printed soon. She said she has been waiting over 50+ minutes for 7 pages of paper to get printed. She demanded a refund to the manger and he wouldn't budge to understand that a refund means a refund! It was then my turn, by then, I had also waited 30+ minutes in line as I mentioned. I told the man the story and he said without a receipt he wasn't able to do this. He said I can ring you up as you just now returned 10 cartridge to give points buy I would still need to purchase $20 or more and have to wait 24 hours and I would need to spend those points within a 30 days, something I wasn't aware about till now! So out of another respectful frustration but calm and peaceful outburst I told him I no longer trust Office Depot with this while he kept trying to explain the "VIP" terms and conditions. If anyone is wanting to print things out. FEDEX got you right! They treat you and help you like no other Micheal Scott Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The employee at the printer counter did not even acknowledge My presence after staying in line for 15 min I was the only customer in the store. Employees just on phones. I haven't been to this Office Depot location in a while. As everyone knows it is a store that has office supplies for both home and for companies. They have all types and amounts of paper, printers, printer ink, copiers, notebooks, pens, office furniture and the list goes on and on. I went to utilize their full service copying area. You can make copies on your own with the 3 copiers they have (one was out of order) but the line was too long and I needed to have my items printed on heavy pound paper. There were 2 people the staff were assisting and 1 person in line in front of me so I did assume I'd be through the line pretty fast. I was wrong. I actually timed it and stood in line 36mins. Clearly this location is understaffed as only 1 of the staff members actually knew how to do the things we needed. She had to keep stopping while in the middle of helping a customer to show the other staff members how to do something or find some special paper. It was frustrating to watch and I'm sure frustrating to her. Once I finally was at the counter I still had to wait as she would go back and forth helping the staff with their customers. I was frustrated that I couldn't get her to focus on what I needed for my print job as she was distracted answering everyone's questions. She did say it's normally just her working that area. This location definitely needs to hire more staff and train them to work the printing/copy area. I don't plan to return unless I absolutely have to and can't find any other location. read more

I only go to this Office Depot due to proximity go where I live. However, the print/copy area has been really bad. The emoyees see you in line and do not attempt to greet or help you in a timely matter.I ordered 2 print documents two different times, and selected the online pickup spot. On those two occassions, they were not there. Waited in a line at the copy center to pick up. I asked the man who assisted me, why they were not at the pickup spot, perhaps I am doing something wrong, and he responds a bit rudely, "Sometimes they just do not make it there". read more

I emailed a document that I needed 2 copies of. I was charged $0.17 per copy. The cashier also charged me an extra $2.00 fee claiming that because I didn't meet the minimum amount required, I had to pay an extra fee. This is something that has never happened to me in the past when I came here to print a small number of copies. There is nothing posted anywhere in the store regarding this fee. It's the principle for me. Charging an extra $2 fee to get 2 copies is a bit excessive! read more

I gave this store a poor review because they are only interested in selling you whatever you are willing to buy, but they could care less about the overall service or quality. I bought several printers (EPSON) and they are all giving me error codes. When I called the service center---they said the printer is giving what they call "a Defect"....so I need to pay 300.000 x 3 printers and they will ship out recondition ones. My Printers are between 8 to 11 months old with almost no use. I travel most of the time, so I seldom get to use them. How can you expect me to ship them back at my cost and wait for a recondition replacement. I bet they recondition a lot of them---THEY ARE USELESS. This Office Depot is by far the best and most efficient location I have ever been to! They deserve 5 stars because I walked in looking for a chair and the manager, Edward helped me find a decent priced chair and showed me the deals and sale item chairs. The environment was uplifting and the employees were accommodating and even helped me set up my chair because the usual guy who puts chairs together wasn't going to be available until tomorrow. Edward and Charles both assisted to put my chair together before the store closed. Both employees were working so hard that they were dripping sweat!! There are some highly proficient employees at this location. Ariana, for example, in copy and print is always on top of her duties. She's proactive, friendly, and even introduced my company to a program where I could save money as a loyal Office Depot customer. Whenever I come in, which is often, and Ariana is on the clock, you best believe my order is complete and ready to go. Edward and Kori are excellent managers also. this place I always short staff. I always have to wait like 45mins to an hour to get my service taken care off. They suggested me to email my stuffs over in advance so they can print them out for me to pick up. I did. as I call to make sure hey have them in the emails, they always reply with a NO don't have it. When I emailed like 3 times, they got it, printed it out. I arrived, still have to come ad wait like 30 mins to get them. and this is only or printing. not yet mentio, labeling, making business card, etc etc. I suggest you guys hire and staff more associates to wok on site because this is a busy location an imagine how many guests yo could lose. read more

Went to get something printed on card-stock and binded (something I've previously done that took 15 minutes). The girl working was facing the complete opposite direction of the counter texting away on her phone... took her about 3 minutes to look over once a line had formed. Once she finally asked what I needed, she answered the phone while I was mid sentence. Then she mumbled something to me and starting cutting paper and ignored me for another 10 minutes. Once she FINALLY decided to help me and see what I needed to print she told me it'd be done by no later than 5 but probably by 3 (it wasn't even two and I was her only customer) and she'd call me when it was ready. 5 o'clock comes around and still no call so I called and they told me it was ready. I've done business w the Office Depot co for several years. When this 1 opened n this location a few years back I was excited about having a location closer. But I've never been particilarly satisfied w this store. Staff has always generally been helpful. But the merchandise availability sucks. I find I'd rather drive over Hwy 35 or even Edgebrook than be disappointed again in not finding even the most basic of items. read more

I'm standing in line at the Copy/Print desk for the second time today. I was told earlier today at 3 PM (closing at 7PM) that it would be impossible for the copy desk to make 11x17 copies that I brought in a binder with me (probably about 50 total). The clerk explained that I could go make the copies myself at the self service station. However, I was in a time crunch and the entire reason I brought the copies in was to save time by paying for Office Depot to do them. Instead, I went home and fought my company's super slow VPN and sent the same location the files to be printed. I have now been waiting in line for another 30 min waiting for those prints, (as the lights are turning off the lights in the store 10 min before close). THIS LOCATION NEEDS MORE STAFF! I have been in for other small copy and print jobs before, and the service was similarly slow. I have purchased an 11x17 printer on Amazon while waiting here in line. Horrible service. Tried to get pictures printed here and the machine was apparently broken. The manager did not even bother to come look at the issue, she just yelled an answer from across the store. However, when they decided to talk about me they would use the radio. They proceeded to laugh at me for not having copies of the pictures that I needed on my phone. At that point, I was furious and left. I will never be coming back to this location. There are plenty of other places where you can be treated decently. read more

I wish that I had gotten the name of the salesman that helped us. But he went above and beyond my expectations. We were looking for a certain sized address label and he not only checked to see if they had it in the store he also checked nearby stores and with his manager just to double check to see that what we wanted didn't exist.
