Hobby Lobby Hobby Lobby is a great store for arts and crafts. Had not been here before but I think I will be a regular now. There are so many options from stickers to beads, paint stuff, seeing stuff, wool, basically just about anything you can think of in arts. The staff is limited but very helpful. They are ever ready to answer your questions however basic they may be. You can get easily lost in their aisles creating projects in your head. I spent 2 hours and still could catch up only half the store ! Prices are reasonable. They have altered and in some cases completely removed their coupon options which could have been more attractive on the wallet , nevertheless, one or the other specials are always going on in store. I'm one of those people that still hold on to old photographs, but here lately, I've been thinking about a better way to store them rather than in an old shoebox and photo album that's on its last leg. I searched online and found this multi-colored photo storage container which was reasonably priced at Hobby Lobby. Yes, I know I could have found something on Amazon and had it shipped same day but shopping at a physical store is no big deal for me if what I want is in stock. Since most aisles at Hobby Lobby are not clearly marked, I immediately asked the store associate where I could find this storage container. She gave me great directions; "turn left, than right, pass the pink section and then the invitations. It'll be on the left hand side". After getting sidetracked along the way, I finally found what I was looking for but could have spared myself some time and frustration had aisles been labeled or at least something on their website that tells you which aisle something is located on. I admit it's fun combing through the store and finding neat things but when you know exactly what you want, it's more of a challenge if you don't know where to look. No, I won't stop shopping at Hobby Lobby but I'll do it in those times when I have nothing but time on my hands. read more

I was reorganizing my closet and went to the Hobby Lobby on Business Center Dr in Pearland. I purchased 16 decorative boxes. The cashier Sam rung up the items had placed them in the bag when a manager Anthony standing near the door shouted over for him to check the boxes. The line had quite a few people in it so I thought helping would speed the process. I started opening the boxes so he could see . The manager told Sam to check them anyway . I felt so embarrassed. People were looking like I had stole something. I just question if this was race . I spent $82 and should have just stop the sale. I just didn't feel like going to another location after spending all my time looking and standing in line . This location is the closest to me . I've been a loyal customer to Hobby Lobby for years . Anthony was at the door when I was leaving . I told him how I felt even offer for him to double check my purchase. He didn't offer an apology. On the hunt for presents and some Christmas decorations. I didn't know what to expect from this location. I was pleasantly surprised. This store is very clean and organized. They had everything I needed and more! They actually had a full staff working on the popular aisles. I enjoyed my shopping trip and I didn't need to ask where anything was, even though it was my first visit. They have a large floral department and an even larger Holiday department. This is the largest Hobby Lobby I've ever been to. It was clean and organized. I was even more surprised when I walked up to the cash registers and there was no wait. It wasn't due to lack of customers, it was because it appears as though they care enough to have more registers open. There were five open close to the end of the day. The cashier was very kind and even let me know which items were not on sale. She even offered to find out when and if the item ever went on sale. Above and beyond customer service. Tip: they no longer have the coveted 40% coupon. However, the Christmas decorations are 50% off. Apparently, they have decided to just run sales on different departments periodically. I had been fairly successful with two a few months ago, so I wanted to work on a bunch more. The selection is large and only a few other shoppers were in the area for the 2.5 hours we were there. The possibilities are endless with their flower selections. The store is very well organized and clean. The ambience is so appealing, you could stay and spend hours just looking around. Lots of crafts, and the only game in town for fabrics. I don't like their pricing scheme. Everything is always on "sale". Only downside is their checkout which is agonizingly slow. Everything is manually inputted and since everything is some % off, the cashiers are always calling for help and it takes foreeeeever. Someone needs to let them know upc codes were invented for a reason. They tend to wrap anything in paper like its a valuable object. Its all cheap Chinese junk. Whether it's for my daughter's homecoming, my son's wedding, my sister's wedding or grandkids' birthdays, I find what I need at these craft stores. I went here for my sister's wedding as I'm her matron of honor. I found most of what I needed for the bachelorette weekend. Rated G of course. We keep it classy...with wine. :) I love how they countdown on closing time starting 15 minutes before they close. That saved me money on spending stuff on things I don't need. Lol!! I love this location. We have done quite a few DIY projects, from our wedding to our home renovations. They are my go to. The employees are very nice and polite and knowledgeable. I had to go today for a quick item but I had my 4 1/2 month old Great Dane puppy with me. I really didn't want to leave him in the car even for the few minutes it would take me but I had to bring him for other errands I was running. I called and they allowed me to bring him in as long as I kept him restrained. They really prefer dogs contained in a shopping cart, however they were flexible with me as he really didn't fit and I knew exactly what I needed. Pretty similar to Michael's in that they have a lot of craft supplies. They do carry some regular art supplies too, but still may not have something specific that you're looking for. Sometimes they might, sometimes not. Still a fun place to walk around and look at what's there. Especially the large selection of home decor near the front of the store. I always see a lot of interesting things on display there. And also, when certain holidays come up, they have several aisles of holiday-themed goodies. read more

My only complaint about this Hobby Lobby in a previous review had been the time it took to find someone for the framing dept. I was pleasantly surprised that when I went to get ANOTHER signed Ted Williams lithograph that I just purchased ( I have a problem) framed and mated, it was a breeze this go around as far as finding someone to help! Within two minutes of asking I was helped. The lady that helped me did a great job on the framing. Hopefully the next time I go in there I'll get the same service I received this visit. if it stays consistent this would become a 5 star Hobby Lobby. read more

Had some stuff framed,matted,and shadow boxed as one. Completely got the matte wrong. Total waste of time. Not only that. Extremely overpriced. All they had to do is look at the picture they made up and notes they wrote or use common sense. However they did offer to fix it. Nor would they discount the items. Went in to do an exchange on a gift I received for Christmas, that was broken when I received it in the mail, so I don't have the receipt. Yes it is Jan 11, but I have been working and unable to make it to a store... well when I told the cashier she gave me this look like you (not a word I'll use) lier. And called her manager over who said oh we can't do that no exchange will happen. Didn't even attempt to help make it right. One reason I don't come to Pearland stores, so many have incompetent employees. Will from no on shop at another store or not at hobby lobby at all. And I spend a lot there. Hobby Lobby seems to always have issues with speed of service since they refuse to enter the 21st century with scanned bar codes. This location took the cake today when I watched them close not one, but THREE registers out of the four that were open, when they had customers waiting in each of the lines. This was done in full view of -- and by direction of -- a manager. Someone is clearly not handling the schedule appropriately when everyone is either due for a break or to end their shift all at the same time. I am appalled at this oversight, which causes a terrible convenience for all of their customers. read more

The website stated they had extended hours for the holidays. Even the sign on the door showed it was open from 9am - 9pm. I got there at 8:20 pm and needed to buy one item. I was told that regardless of what the website or the door said they had closed at 8 pm and proceeded to close the door on myself and another customer. I get you want to go home and are tired but you should honor the times you say you are open. I just needed one more item to finish a gift I wanted to have completed tonight. This Hobby Lobby has to be the best one in Houston. I went to get a Christmas Tree today because the lights on our tree went out yesterday(it was 10 years old). The tree that I wanted wasn't in stock (or so the scanner said). So, we went through the process of looking to see if one could be ordered and/or shipped to my house.....ect. Anyway, a stock room person came to the front carrying someone else's tree and the cashier asked if he knew when the next delivery would be. He asked what Tree we were looking for and said that someone had returned an un-opened tree just this morning. He went to the back to verify it was the exact tree that I wanted and then brought it out to the front and loaded it in my SUV for me. Of the 3 employees that I interacted with, all of the them went above and beyond. This place is the best. read more

Poor customer service, poor management. I tried to return something that the glue came undone at the base of the vase and they would not return it due to it being "damaged ". Obviously they are selling defective items and don't care. Something that comes unglued is not my fault. It was not broken just glue issue.
