Found out they do it here and I was in the store for a total of 20 minutes, my booklet is perfect and everyone was super friendly and helpful! I usually don't post reviews other than for restaurants, but this Pasadena location deserves 5 stars!! I came in to get some copies done & the lady helping was so nice & extremely patient!! She waited for me as I struggled to open my own pack of paper as well as load the image on the computer. Once it was done she gave me a bag to put my copies in & even offered to ring me up if the checkout line was too long. I went to pick up some envelopes & proceeded to the check out line & as I approached the cashier, I asked if there were any online coupons I could use. The cashier offered me a $5 off coupon as I was spending at least $25. He was very kind about it & let me utilize the coupon even though I didn't have it. I usually don't expect much with customer service from Office Supply stores, but this location deserves to be recognized for their excellent customer service & attention to customer needs! Marvin provided super helpful, fast and friendly customer service when I went in today to have my laptop battery replaced. I didn't even make an appointment. I had also called a few other computer repair places, and all charged more including one place that quoted me three times the Office Depot rate and 1 1/2 hours to do the job. Brought supplies at another location. Was hesistant since I lost my receipt, but gave it a shot. The cashier sincerely smiled and quickly gave me store credit. Continue shopping there and ended up spending an additonal $120. ***Note to other business who gives customers the cold shoulder when returning things without receipt. Yup, I spent more money! Normally I don't have any problems when I come in to print things in the morning, but I showed up this evening to print items and it was a different story. I was first in the printing area, was helped promptly, two other ladies showed up after me and were waiting their turn to be helped. Then a regular customer came in after me and the employees allowed her to use their computer for her printing services and walk about the staff only printing area. Apparently she had a lot of things to print and that delayed my print job by 25 minutes. I am really appalled by the fact that they allowed a regular customer to do that because there were three of us before her calmly awaiting our turn, and if she knew she had that much to print she should have waited her turn. Then again the staff here should do a better job of regulating their customers. read more

Yesterday was my day to take care of all my exchanges and Adriana who is an Excellent Employee went out of her way to help me..nothing like the experience i had later that day at Ralphs..Anyway i had purchased 3-White Out's from Office Depot and this time i did NOT have my receipt with me when i arrive at the store. I told her that i had purchased them about a month ago and that the brush was bent on two of them and that the third one got stuck and i couldn't even open them. I told her go ahead and shake them there still full they are not empty i hardly ever use them so the brushes should not be damaged. Well at first she looks at me and says you don't have a receipt and i don't think we carry them. I told her all i want is an exchange, not money. So i requested a manager. Re: FAX SERVICE ONLY I have come to this location for a couple of years. In recent months I've been dreading having to fax from here and only continue to try because it's the closest location to my home where I can use my purchasing discount card. First time I was told that my fax went through despite the fact that a copy of my first page was not on the print out as I know it should be. A week later I come to find out that my fax indeed was not received by the party I was sending it to. About a month ago I came back to re-send that fax told that yes a copy of my coversheet must show up on my receipt in order for us to be sure the fax went through. I spent 45 minutes trying to resend the fax. This time the female employee went out of her way to restart the machine a few times, and after such a long time does not charge me for my two pages sent after 45mins. I was grateful for that consideration. I just left again without having sent an import tax for work. I show the blank receipt page to the young man working and he said "well other people have faxed today". Mind you, he's the same giy that told me that my fax would go through first time I started having issues. I asked him to please restart the machine as that's what the lady did the last time I was there. He had somebody else do it because apparently he was too busy to restart the machine despite no one else being at the counter. Another young man came and said that he "cleared it" and asked me to try again. I did so and it still came out blank. I told him I'm not paying for my two attempts in 15 mins and I walked out leaving them both looking surprised. I'm really not one to write reviews this long but something as seemingly simple as fixing the fax machine and keeping customers loyal should be a priority. I'm no longer coming back to this location for my fax service needs. read more

This was the worst experience I had with customer service, ever. I have never once been angry or stern with any service personnel since I used to work in service myself, but this was the first. I took my laptop in for virus removal and to install anti-virus software. Got it back the next day. Found out they had installed ANOTHER VIRUS. Took it back in to get it fixed AGAIN. They called me to come it and pick it up. STILL WASN'T FIXED. Waited for an hour while they tried to fix it only for them to tell me to come in the next day to pick it up. The whole process took 2 more days than was promised. I lost work hours since I work on my laptop. I spent $260 on this. They only gave me a $50 giftcard. I called the manager Amy to get more compensation. She said she would call me back that same day. She didn't. I had to call in the next day. They said they would update me and call me the next day. Someone else got back to me and was told false information on what my problem was so I had to explain it all over again. Long story short, they are not compensating me any more than $50 for a $260 dollar purchase that took up 2 extra workdays. Never going back to any of these stores and I warn everyone to please, please, please stay away. This is completely unacceptable. read more

My computer crashed last night, so I had to buy a new computer today. I noticed this place had a sale on a computer for less than $500 in their current sales ad. Without much surprise, that particular sale price included a mail-in rebate so the price was actually higher than advertised. Anyway, this was my first visit to this store and I'm thinking it may be my last. Well, I called this morning to inquire if they had any computers left at the sale price and the saleperson stated they had one left. So, I requested that he hold that computer for me because I was on my way to purchase it. When I arrived this morning, the staff in this Office Depot weren't the most welcoming. The computer salesperson didn't smile and seemed as if he didn't feel like being bothered. In addition, this salesperson kept checking his cell phone and had the audacity to talk on it while helping me. If I wasn't trying to save money I would've left to purchase a computer elsewhere, as I hate to patronize a business that doesn't show respect or appreciation toward their customers. After selecting my computer, the salesperson took it to the register and sat it on the floor. The cashier looked at the computer and then looked at me as if I was to put the computer on the counter. Before I knew it, I stated "I'm sure one of you are going to put this on the counter". The salesperson came back to put the computer on the counter. Its as if customer service is something of the past. I'm not too happy with my purchase, nor was I happy with my experience at this Office Depot. read more

I had a horrible experience at this location today. It was Memorial Day and the store hours were different. I arrived at 5:45 and the store closed at 6. I needed to make copies and there were two employees who stopped me at the door and asked how they could help. I said I needed to make copies and one of the employees said, "copy center is closed. It's a holiday." So I asked if there were other locations open later and the other employee directed me to go to FedEx down the street. What kind of employee recommends going to a (what I assume is a) competitor?! I turned around and left. As I was leaving, another employee was outside leaning up against the wall with no care in the world, even the the store was still open. I went to the mom and pop shop down the street and gladly spent $240. Big sales miss for Office Depot and I do not appreciate the service I received. I will not be returning. read more

The item layout isn't great, i like staples center layout better, office depot do had a lot of coupon which is great and has good reward if you buy a lot of inks and papers, no need to argue for tax exempt either if you using gov cc. read more

Don't ship things from here. Took forever- go to the post office instead. They make you input everything into the computer and sometime the addresses don't even go through. They didn't even know how to bring up my receipt. It was really frustrating and I was here for over 2 hours. Came here to buy an HP Toner after reviewing their policy on price matching Amazon which fair enough says they only match prices on items sold by Amazon.com not 3rd parties. Fair enough. So I drove there after verifying they had it in stock. When I went to check out and presented them with the Amazon item, they declined because it had Prime shipping. Huh? I just recently bought a desk and hutch from this store in Pasadena, CA and the salesman who wrote up the order was completely incompetent and it took over an hour to get it written up and scheduled for delivery. I also purchased the Installation package for $250 with the desk & hutch. When the items were delivered, two days late, the hutch was broken and instead of having them put it together I decided to do it. so I called and canceled the installation and with it thought I would save the $250. well its been a month now and they have yet to credit my credit card the $250 and apparently the assistant manager wasn't trained to do this so I now have to wait for the manager so he/she can follow up with this matter. this is just another example of companies hiring personnel and not training or supervising them properly. I needed to get 2 copies of a book of 400 pages/double sided printed in a hurry. I randomly called this Office Depot. Leslie picked up the phone and when I asked if I could come in and possibly get this done that day, she said "Sure, come in and we'd be happy to get that done right now!" I rushed right over, and Leslie got my book started right away, she had to go to lunch and that's when Maritza stepped in and suggested the double sided feature and that it would be best to put a spiral binding on it. Both ladies were very helpful, knowledgeable, kind, multitasking, Super Women! I was out of there and made my appointment with time to spare. RUDE ASSISTANT MANAGER!!!!!! I come in here about once a month, and I have to say half of the staff here is very polite and helpful on the floor. However, I walked in with a small return issue today, and was given the worst possible, insulting attitude. This assistant manager was speaking to me with so much sarcasm I could not believe he was in customer service. He argued with me over something he had not verified, and even when he was proven wrong and had to return my money, he blamed it on someone else on the floor, saying he'd have to "yell" at that person later over their mistake....SOOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I informed him he was RUDE to me, and he made up excuses. I had to tell him 3 times (the way you have to speak to a bratty 3yr old) that he was rude until his employees were staring at him and he was embarrassed enough to FINALLY apologize. Came here to buy a printer for my son for college. i was planned to buy the Brothers Laser printer for $69 on sale from $150 but thank goodness I didn;''t becasue there was a nice intellegent sale person there told me that the ink replacement cartridge cost $124! that is crazy! so Brother tries to sucker you in with low price printer. He recommended the epson all in one printer on sale for $59...reg.$99 and it has over 1200 review with 41/2 stars and the replacement ink is much cheaper . I brought the insurance plan for $12 guaantee for 2 years so i am worry free. so happy for the help. btw, store is also nice and clean.. read more

These stores seriously need to go out of business. I'm always at a loss as to how they survive. I'm not sure who runs them or who owns them but it's extremely clear that their CEO is just relaxing taking a pay check and doing if nothing to improve the customer experience in these stores.
