We loved this place. When we first walked in all the seats were taken, but by the time we ordered and watched it for a minute we were able to share a table with a Nice couple. People seem to move up and out pretty smoothly & quickly and are happy to share tables, so don't let that deter you from enjoy a delicious waffle here. I ordered the Goat in Headlights, had goats cheese, avocado, sunny side up egg, Paprika & cilantro. (Only good things) it was seriously delicious I mean come on, goats cheese, need I say more. We also ordered the Swanson (love that Parks & Rex reference BTW) and the Hey Bob. Everyone was happy with their choices. Was impressed with the creative choices and how much there was on the menu. Oh my waffles. These are delicious. My husband, mother-in-law and I stopped here on Black Friday. Their locally roasted coffee is fantastic, and their waffles are interesting. I don't know if it's possible to order a bad one. They all sounded fabulous. I ended up with the Yeah, Really Though. Caramelized onions, spinach, balsamic reduction, bacon, chevre cheese and pears topped a slightly sweet waffle. The whole thing just melted in my mouth and created such a delicious combination! A little sweet, a lot savory, and the ingredients were such a complement to each other...would eat these all the time if I lived nearby. My husband had The Schmooli - pears, bacon, applesauce and walnuts on a waffle. My mother-in-law had The Walter - apples, whipped cream, bacon and I'm not sure what else. All of them were delicious. My husband wished the pears were apples on his to better go with the bacon, but other than that, no changes! We will definitely be back! The staff is friendly and it's order first and sit after, so look at the menu ahead of time. It's hard to decide! Do not come here if you are very hungry. I had to do a double take when I read the menu and every single order came with only A SINGLE waffle. Not a stack, not even two, but one single waffle. I envisioned being able to get a stack of waffles for a reasonable price like any other Waffle House but I suppose not. Very overpriced with little portions. I also had to fetch my own silverware after receiving my food. They didn't even have enough clean forks so some people in my group had to eat their waffles with a spoon. Most delicious waffle ever!!!! Don't let the line around the block deter you. First of all, it moves quickly. Secondly, it is worth the wait. Apparently, the dough is the same type used to make brioche, a bread that I'm usually not too found of, but it REALLY works here. They add the syrup the when they serve it. I thought I liked Snooze in Colorado and Arizona as a breakfast place....but I think Off the Waffle beats it! Everything we tried here was amazing! I wanted to eat there every day of our trip. We had the Hey Bob, (Leige waffle with havarti cheese, apples and maple syrup) the Goat in the Headlights (goat cheese, eggs, basil and avacado) and the BMB (bacon, cheese and basil). First time ever coming to this place and I have to say, the location was great, service was great, and the food? DELICIOUS! We got the Swanson and the Wiffle and everything about each one had left us speechless. The waffles are warm and fluffy and they have a hint of sweetness to them so with the Swanson it definitely balanced the sweet/savory combo if that's for you. The wiffle was loaded with the right amount of banana and nutella so it was perfect in its own way! I would definitely come back here again and try new items on the menu. 12/10! read more

Went in this past week in summer early AM on a weekday with my two children after looking for a small breakfast shop locally, while visiting in the area. The atmosphere is great. Felt different from the big breakfast companies. Not staffed by many people so had to wait to order for some time. Kids didn't mind because of the small fairy door painted on the wall and free stickers. Has an overall kid friendly feeling to the place. Paid for our order and tipped before we were served. I ordered two kids waffles and one regular waffle with maple syrup, bacon and runny egg on top (what they are known for.) We waited for quite a long time for our food considering there weren't a lot of guests. After receiving our order, was throughly disappointed to inspect my plate and find an over cooked almost boiled egg. Waffle was great tasting but honestly the egg and bacon were so over cooked it ruined my plate. The server stopped by about 1/2 way into our meal and asked how everything was, which I appreciated. I let her know about the egg and she apologized and said that they had a new cook who wasn't quite sure how to make everything the proper way yet. She said she would get me a new order to make up for it. I waited patiently for 20 minutes for my new plate before I decided to just finish what I had. I didn't think she was coming back. She did eventually come back, with just a single new runny egg. Alas, I had nothing to enjoy it on since she didn't bring me a new waffle. Poor customer service and management. My kids waffles were cold when served but they did enjoy the fresh apple slices they received. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing, but pricey. Overall paid a lot of money for cold and overcooked meals. When given a chance to remedy, the establishment sadly, did not. I would not come back here. read more

Apparently, this business thinks that it's ok to discriminate against those who don't have bank accounts or credit cards. THEY DON'T TAKE CASH...AT ALL!!!!! WTF?!?! It's very unfortunate that I write this review, but their to go service is ridiculous. One time we waited about an hour AFTER the 30 min wait they had told us our food would be ready. This has happened a couple of times already. Not just once, but maybe three. Every time we ordered we would think, maybe this time the food will be ready, but no. I understand everyone is doing their best getting orders and working understaffed, but at-least be honest with your wait time. Liège Waffles. I had not heard of these waffles before but, by golly, they are the best waffles I have ever had. What started as a cool, quiet Friday morning trip throughout the Oregonian coast, started on with the right attitude with a stop at "Off The Waffle". While the coffee did not impress, which was a letdown, the chocolate milk was the "bee's knees"! Although pricey for an 8 oz. cup, it definitely hit the spot. Now, on to the waffles, starting with the three eggs and five strips of bacon that come standard on "The Swanson" it soon became apparent that this place does not mess around. Usually indifferent towards bacon, this was some of the best bacon I have ever had, and I do not say this lightly, *Chris Traeger's voice* 'literally' the best bacon I have ever had. This amazing beginning to a plate that to many may seem like your typical 'eggs and bacon', took a turn as I started to turn my attention to the single waffle on my plate. This waffle gave a hope for humankind, an epiphany of what a waffle should be. What seems like an apparently 'hipster' place really intrigued me with their 'smooth jazz' Norah Jones-esque music. A really calming and refreshing way to start my morning. I recommend this place to the local resident and to the tourist looking to try some of the best waffles on the PNW. read more

Delicious! Came here for a (hungover) breakfast w/some friends the morning after the Cal vs Oregon football game I was in town for and it really hit the spot. I went very simple since I knew I was going to be eating a lot throughout the day, but I really liked the waffle I ordered (the Wiffle). The waffle itself was light & chewy and there was a good amount of nutella & banana on it. I should have taken a picture, but the banana was sliced long ways, which made for an interesting presentation. Everyone else I was with had a savory waffle & we were all satisfied (two of the people I was with were from Eugene and were familiar with this place). Also, one person I was with is gluten free & was able to get a waffle that fulfilled this dietary restriction (she said her waffle was very good). Off The Waffle is an order at the counter/bus you own table place. While we were eating we noticed the line getting long at times (when we arrived luckily it wasn't), but things seemed to run smoothly. To be fair - I just got back from NYC where I had liege waffles for the first time (@ Wafles and Dinges) and they set the standard pretty high. But if it wasn't for my NYC experience, I probably wouldn't have tried Off the Waffle for quite a while, I mean... it's waffles. Liege waffles are amazing though, and Off the Waffle does them well. They're a little pricey, I bought three (to share with family) and it ran me $24. None of us were disappointed though! I want to go back an try some of the sweet/savory waffles sometime So, we came back (it is national waffle day after all) and we had breakfast here this morning. Hands down the BEST waffle I've ever had! It even beats the waffles I've had in Belgium! This place is winning!! The waffle is crisp and sooooo yummy. The texture is close to a croissant and literally creates a flavor explosion inside your mouth. It's the perfect size too - not so big that you walk away feeling guilty but certainly big enough to feel satisfied. The fruit plate side was reasonably priced ($5) and offered fresh fruits. The egg add-on option to any waffle is nice and affordable too ($2.50 for one egg). To top it off, they even have REAL VERMONT maple syrup which was scrumptious and definitely worth the $1 upgrade!
