First food stop of this trip which came highly recommended by those in the resort groups that we have been researching and following. They are in a super location - out back of the resort centrally located and squeezed between the edge of the beachfront and the pool deck area. Friendly and helpful folks greeted us and they were quick to seat us and put us in a. "Plumb spot" where we got to enjoy the Pool Party on Thursday night at 415pm. We barely arrived and we've already been partying at the beach/pool while we dine and we've had photos with Moana!

We stay at Aulani almost every year for our summer vacation and haven't eaten here too often. My son wanted to take us out to dinner so he decided that Off the Hook would be a good choice. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations and it's walk up only. As busy as they were, we were seated almost right away. We were in the direct sun for a little while, but when the sun was setting, it created a beautiful backdrop to our family dinner. Service was excellent and the food was very good too! Pricey? Yes! But it was worth it. All six of us were very happy with the food we ordered. This place is a great alternative if you're looking for something other than Ulu Cafe, Makahiki and Monkeypod.

Located at the Disney Aulani resort. There is seating in a bar area as well as tables for families. The menu is kind of small and limited. Not many appetizer or side menu items. Prices are a bit on the higher side. We went with a Crab Cake BLT and a Chicken Club Sandwich. Both were good. Had a few cocktails and a mocktail. I would save your money on those and just opt for water, the water was definitely more refreshing and tastes better. Service was just okay. Placed order brought food to the table. Nothing that made our experience stand out.

Great experience here! I ordered the Mickey waffles and the line and staff were all very organized and we were able to receive our food decently quickly despite how long the line was, which was expected. The waffle portion was massive and this was a great place to stop at for a quick hearty breakfast. The location is close to the pool but a bit more closed off which is nice.

This was our first visit to Aulani Disney Resort, and we had lunch on the outdoor patio at Off the Hook. We ordered a couple of smoothies--the Lava Colava and Strawberry Guava. I had the Caesar salad topped with mahi mahi, my hubby enjoyed the French Dip, and our daughter ordered the pork ribs with onion rings. The food was tasty, and the service was great.

Got a quick bite to eat after a beach excursion at the Aulani resort. I had the club sandwich with fries and some iced tea. There's plenty of patio seating and shade in this outdoor bar restaurant. We got a table right away and the service was pretty good initially. Our server disappeared when we wanted to pay and get a to go box. I ate half my sandwich which was turkey, ham, bacon, avocado and lettuce and tomato on whole grain toast. It came with a pickle spear on the side. I had the other half of the sandwich hours later and it was still delicious. It was a pretty expensive lunch at $40 but this was to be expected at Aulani.

One of the casual dine-in spots in Aulani Resort is conveniently located next to the pools and views of the beach. They open early for breakfast with tasty comfort meals and coffee drinks, and stay open through lunch and dinner. The menu features some standard American fare for the family. The prices are premium, but the portions are good. The staff is friendly and attentive. For food, I've enjoyed the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken, the Chicken Club, and the French Dip sandwich. The slow-roasted prime rib in the French dip was a little under-seasoned, but tender, and the au jus and white sauce added a nice balance and extra zip. The bread was also warm and soft. A full bar is also available, offering refreshing cocktails, non-alcoholic specialties, beers, and wine. In the morning, order coffee and other drinks at the bar as well. I enjoyed the Liliko'i Splash and Pineapple Ginger Splash, non-alcoholic mocktails with my lunch. There's plenty of patio dining available during the morning (open seating) and during the day (hosted seating). We haven't had problems being seated promptly.

It's Disney - it's the Aulani . We were by the pool all day with the kids and needed some food. . It was a hot day and everything hit just right. Generally bar food , but a little But better . The service is exceptional. EXCEPTIONAL. We like to go here when we visit Oahu . We stay at Aulani or Marriott .. come by - you will be happy you did

We liked Off The Hook. They're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We really enjoyed the sweet and sticky pork ribs. For breakfast you just walk up to the bar and order your food and they bring it to wherever you're sitting. For lunch and dinner you see the hostess and they will seat you. We had a group of 17 people and they were able to make that work, which was really nice.

Blackened ahi with jalapeño mash and green beans
    Sharmeen F.

Off the hook is a poolside restaurant with delicious eats. I ordered the blackened ahi per the servers recommendation and it was very good. It was cooked and seasoned well and was paired with jalapeño mashed potatoes and green beans that complimented the fish well. Service was a little slow and they ended up being out of a few things which is why it's just a 4 star for me. It's right near the pools and ocean so you get to have some pretty views and good people watching. Definitely worth a visit!

Stopped by to pick up breakfast to eat by the pool. I wanted to try all the casual dining during our stay and having Mickey waffles on the breakfast menu was a plus. Yes it's pricey but hey it's at Aulani so one shouldn't be surprised. My LO loved the Mickey waffles of course and it comes with either two pork sausages or two Portuguese sausages. I also ordered the keiki (children) spam garlic fried rice with an egg of your choice (I chose over easy). I found the keiki size to be perfect since I planned on snacking all day. I also ordered the Aulani special blended coffee drink and it was delicious. I think this is the only dining near the pool that serves specialty coffees. Service was friendly. Since I went during the early morning it did take a while for the server to come out we itch my order but they just means it's made to serve. There are plenty of tables you can eat at of just pick up and enjoy by the pool like I did

Off the Hook is a poolside bar and lounge at Aulani Resort serving cocktails and appetizers. Grab a quick bite to eat or enjoy a leisurely meal. We were enjoying the meal. I got the French dip with fries and a Pina colada. The food was really good and hot! The drinks was spot on. The service was excellent. She was super friendly and got us in and out! The environment was nice and relaxing to enjoy my food!

Good solid experience with nice food and nice ambiance and decent service…read more Caesar salad was good and fresh 9/10. Siamin was maybe my favorite dish, smokey the noodles extra al dente and the pork was flavorful 9.5/10. Pesto Gnocchi was pillowy and soft and the pesto sauce was light and flavorful and was one of the few vegetarian options. I would get again 8/10. Side of broccoli was spicy and zesty 9/10. Cocktails were also very nice way to start. It's a tradition to always hit the minkeypod when in hawaii and will continue. Don't forget the pies! Overall, definitely a touristy vibe but pretty good quality overall.

Came here while staying at Aulani. We weren't too hungry yet and mainly got appetizers and drinks…read moreduring happy hour. Majority of the appetizers we got were good. - truffle fries..well...their truffle fries and cant really go wrong - taro dumplings (i forgot if thats what we got but they were good but not blown away either) - corn chowder was good - brisket pesto pizza? (Im overdue with the review so forgot what pizza it exactly was) but i remember this was good. It was in the happy hour menu is all i can remember. - wings but unsure about the goat cheese dip. I prefer plain ranch - the kids pasta was good. Well, one kiddo loved it while the other didn't. So it depends on preferences on this one. I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Went back to Aulani a but bummed and decided to get another at Aulani the next day instead and I will say, i liked it better as it followed the more traditional way of making it. So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.

We went on a Saturday, getting to the resort before 4:30 and then up we went with our special key from the front desk. We didn't have to use the key. When we got to the room, it is unassuming as it blends in with other rooms...except not. Followed the instructions on the door and it was so cool we closed the door and video taped it. I think it threw off the people working as they expected patrons. The walk in the hallway threw me off a little but after you walk through the small room...WOW. All I had to say was WOW. Because I had no expectation everything was so exciting. There was a "rooftop bar" feel to the place and the view was so nice. (Although I could do with less tree-view) It would have been nice to have been early enough to get seats at the railing but we didn't know you could get there before 4:30 and there was already a few groups there. Seating is first come first serve so we opted for a high top table tucked in the back that the 4 of us could sit and chat but still enjoy the view. I took a few photos but mostly enjoyed the ambiance and the girl talk. I don't know why I thought there would be light pupus but nope, no food. Just some olives and nuts. I wish I took photos of the drink selection menu because I don't remember what was in my drink. The names of the cocktails were fun though! I enjoyed a "Lifted 'Yota" which was fun and tasty. They also serve mocktails if you don't want to have the alcohol. All in all, I loved the experience we had and my friends and I look forward to coming back. We stayed in Waikiki for part of our trip but then came here for our last part to celebrate our daughters birthday. Best choice of the whole trip. This area was a completely different look and feel to the island. It was so much more calming and relaxing. The hotel staff were phenomenal, the check in process was amazing and went so smoothly. We were told our room wouldn't be ready until 4PM, but Disney magic it was ready at 12pm. Which was amazing with toddlers. The attractions, there are so many pools to choose from, the lazy river is amazing, the slides were so fun! The attention to detail everywhere is so Disney but with a Hawaiian feel. It was great to be able to get towel service anywhere, there are beach toys, life vests available all free. We didn't have a hard time finding chairs. Theres some good quick food service options near the pool. We ordered a bit of everything and it was all good for pool service food. The kids loved the Disney Mickey ears shaved ice. We did a paddle board rental and the bay was so calm, clear and amazing, it was beautiful to see the bay from the kind of view and experience. We did the Character breakfast dining and that was so fun for the kids to see all the Characters come through, the food was plenty. They have photos with Mickey before and you can buy all the photos and a print out for a packaged price. The characters came by and visited with the kids it was so adorable. The servers were so sweet and amazing like a true Auntie. The kids had so much fun at all the meet and greets with the Characters. Moana and Stitch were of course the island favorite and highlight. We took advantage and took lots of photos with the photo passes and had to buy the packages because what sweet memories. Self parking was very close and in a garage so it was great for us with the car rental that we had. The valet/car staff were amazing as well, they were accommodating and helped with all the bags. Bell hop was exceptional here as well, so helpful and friendly. The room itself was cute, there was a kitchenette but we didn't take advantage of it. The bathroom was a good size and had everything you needed including liquid hand soap. The room was a decent size, but the bed was a bit smaller than we are used to, it was a full rather than a queen or king. The kids pull out sofa was much bigger, but we didn't spend much time in the room. The attention to detail was great, there was room to store your bags under the bed. We had a wonderful view of the garden/pool. Great for pictures. Mickey and friends called to tell my daughter happy birthday. Overall the experience was so memorable for our family. I was tempted to sign up to be a DVC member but we don't go to Hawaii often enough to make it worth it. But by far the most beautiful Disney resort we have been too. We love DisneyWorld but this was a different Island feel. Of course we went to the gift shop too because it was a must and had special Disney Aulani items only! The lounge they had for guest use on the day of check out was amazing feature on our last day when we were flying home. We were able to use the pool and all the amenities and then shower and refresh before out 8 hour flight home.

The service is outstanding and we are so happy and blessed to be here! We were able to greet Mickey & Minnie, Goofy and Stitch at breakfast! We enjoyed macadamia nut pancakes with sweet syrup sauce; Mickey waffles and bacon; a farmer's omelet and potatoes - we had huge portions and the price for 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) was really good for all the food, the live music and the character visits over and over to our table! I also note that we didn't not attend the Luau this trip - which costs $200-$300+ per person (at Aulani). We opted to skip because we've been before and figured we would wait some before taking the kids - a little bit older for the best age to really fully enjoy that aspect of the show. You can get all the pictures with your personal camera/phone/device but know that the character breakfast photos by the photo folks with Mickey are not included - they will offer a $45 photo package to include and featured photo in the cardboard decorated photo frame and a photo pass card representing all the photos taken with Mickey as a family and as individuals at the featured photo session with Mickey during the (breakfast) character meal experience. We made our appointment for the first of the day and joined breakfast at 7am. We were first in line and first for the day - we enjoyed that personally because it was a great time with no crowds and we were able to start the day early and get on to having (more) fun!
