We enjoyed our experience so much that we ate here two consecutive days. The decor and atmosphere is cute. The servers we had were personable and attentive. Best of all, the food was delicious. Every dish we tried over the two days with a party of five was exactly as described. They were able to accommodate our dairy allergy and gluten free preferences. We loved the chicken and waffles and the Holy CRaB (if that's your sort of food). The waffle dishes have a delicious light almond flavor and were the perfect consistency and texture. My family also loved their hashes, chia seed pudding, crepes and pancakes. Even the drinks were delicious.

I went to OEB based on all the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, I left a bit disappointed. This was my first meal in Calgary, so I had high hopes. The space offers a mix of seating which had indoor tables and a section with food court-style seating that's technically still indoors but feels more casual. It wasn't overly busy when I went, and the atmosphere was fine. Since I couldn't decide what to order, I asked the server for a recommendation. They suggested the Traditional Benny, mentioning that making it "Canadian style" includes maple syrup on the side. I also went with the Get Shorty Rib Poutine, which looked amazing when it came out, but the flavor just didn't quite live up to the presentation. It wasn't bad, just okay. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I'd give it three stars.

Pretty good! I come to OEB often when I travel. Typically in Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg & Toronto. All are great and there is good reason to their expansion. Today I tried the SHAKSHUKA Stewed plum tomatoes, lemon, peppers, jalapeños, Za'atar spice, chickpeas, poached eggs, cow feta, fresh herbs, French rye bread. BUT I added an extra egg for added protein. It definitely needed it and I feel like the 3rd egg should be standard. Other bread choices would be a nice bonus. In the end it was a satisfying meal. Service is standard, open kitchen, nice ambiance showcasing eggs.

Great location right in downtown Calgary with fantastic food. Super creative breakfast menu with classics and lots of Canadian specialties. The service was friendly and efficient and the food very good.

The waitstaff (Jay?) directed us to all of the best offerings including the lobster shrimp crepe and the crab Benedict. If you need more of a spacious vibe, sit and people watch at the indoor patio. Otherwise, enjoy the fun decorations inside. We were full afterwards

This is rated as the best brunch place in downtown Calgary and now I concur! The acronym O stands for outstanding people, E for embracing evolution, and B stands for bold food integrity. I was able to get on their waitlist as number five and by the time we got here our table was ready. The restaurant is in an office building with pretty yellow umbrellas out front & a line out the door. Chef Mauro Martina, came here from Italy in 1982. He prioritizes a connection to fresh, local & genuine ingredients. We were tucked into a corner with a friendly waiter. Coffee in big mugs came quickly with the menus. The portions here look huge. The Benny croissant sandwiches look wonderful so the blue plates specials and the signature breakfast poutines. The most difficult part about breakfast is what to choose. I ordered pierogies with duck while my husband ordered lax lax of lox with fries. Brunch was abundant, exceptional and reasonable. My husband doesn't like eggs & is fussy re. breakfast spots, he is ready to come back here again!

This restaurant isn't bad per se, but it was quite a bit underwhelming. Part of it may be because I made a special trip after looking up their menu online, and probably had too high of expectations. On my visit, I had the breakfast poutine with Irish coffee. The "Irish" coffee was served as a cup of coffee with a side of Baileys. Weird, but I guess it works for people who might end up with refills of coffee. As for the "poutine," my picture makes it look better than it was. Not much in the way of the toppings (there's supposedly some chicken there) and just wasn't super filling. Service was quick and I didn't have to wait, but I honestly would have been better off stopping at a random diner. Or Tim Hortons.

Decided to check this brunch spot out in downtown Calgary, as many people left great reviews of the food. Ambiance was really nice, super busy location so reserve ahead, because you might have to wait to get seated. Food presentation was great and it tasted really good, though I wish they gave a little bit more wedges, as I found the portion size small for me. Price was also reasonably price for a downtown brunch location.

Super cute brunch spot and good size portions for a decent price. I was in a party of 2 and we made no prior reservations before coming and was able to be seated right away. I ordered the Classic Breakfast with a side of fresh fruit and I also ordered a mimosa as well. The interior of this place was adorable. Very, very cute. Staff was nice and friendly. Service was quick and efficient! The food was better than expected. Everything was seasoned nicely and cooked quite well. I really enjoyed my meal. Everything cost about $36 (including the tip)! I will say this place was about a 6 minute walk from my hotel and when I arrived it was located inside of a large building. A nice gentleman saw that my friend and I looked lost and directed us to the right direction. This location has two entrances. One entrance it is right off the street and very noticeable but, if you're coming the way I did you will have to enter the building, walk past the elevators, and take a left and you will find it. I'm happy I gave this place a chance!

On our first full morning of our trip to Canada, before hitting the road to the national parks, my husband and I walked over to OEB for breakfast from our hotel. We arrived right before the morning rush, which was nice because we were seated right away. The staff were extremely kind and attentive. Everything on the menu looked delicious, but since it was our first time in Canada, I ordered the poutine Benedict-type breakfast - Gold Digga. it was absolutely delicious and quite filling. I subbed in half spinach to balance out the amount of potatoes and cheese. My husband ordered the Threesome, which came with a variety of classic breakfast items. We both were absolutely blown away by the taste and quality of the food. A great breakfast spot with wonderful service, hot, coffee, and delicious food.

Very fun place in downtown Calgary. Food was good. The fruit was pretty but didn't taste great. Everything else was very good. When we went it was crowded and the place is loud, so no privacy. Service was prompt and our waiter was friendly. I would go back here, but I will search for something else next time I'm in town. FYI very small restroom.

Good food and a lot of it. My breakfast burger was terrific and everyone at our table was impressed with their meal too.

You can never go wrong with beef tallow and fries. I'll go back to Calgary for the El Camino breakfast.

Vegan breakfast options that too savory are hard to come by. You're limited to soy or coconut yogurt or just potatoes but this place had buddha bowl, tofu bowl, ramen, salads. So many options. Additionally they can make modifications to accomodate any requirements. We had our coffees made with soy milk and sugar free syrup. Everything is plated so beautifully. Super fast and friendly service. You must reserve ahead online a day before atleast before you go to ensure they confirm a spot because the seating is limited. We were shocked to find another couple sitting at our reserved table--frankly, I hadn't anticipated it would be a shared table for eight in the first place. To make matters worse, we were rushed to order and pay the bill. After that couple left, another pair were seated at our six-person table without any explanation. Our dishes arrived in two separate waves with a 10-minute gap. They also automatically added an 18% tip for parties of more than five people, which I expect at least we should have a private table. When I expressed my dissatisfaction to the server, the owner came out and became confrontational and aggressive. He raised his voice, saying I could "tell him what I am not satisfied with." Then he offered a refund, which I immediately declined, and afterward snatched a package of coffee from the counter and offered it as compensation. I refused again--it felt more like an insult than a genuine apology. After we posted our reviews, the owner privately messaged my friend, asking us to remove them and citing the "small Chinese community" as a reason we should support each other. That's incredibly manipulative. Using community guilt to pressure customers into deleting honest feedback is inappropriate and only reinforces our negative experience. I will not be returning.
