Was on vacation in Calgary, and knew I had to try the famous OEB that I kept hearing about. We were seated very quickly! And was assisted with our drinks immediately. She offered us a seat in the patio and it was lovely. It wasn't just tables outside. It was well decorated and very clean. I ordered their new maple pork belly Benny and it had a good amount of sweetness to it. Although the menu said it would come with a salad, the waitress was nice and ask if I would like to change it for the potatoes. It's like she knew what I was thinking ! Overall, was really happy with my experience. If I'm ever back in town, I know where I will be visiting. read more

It's hard to complain about OEB. An extensive menu, great food, and reasonable prices. Also, I found the service pretty knowledgeable about gluten and dairy free options. It's an inviting space and if I had one complaint I'd say it's pretty big, busy and noisy during Sunday brunch. However, I think that's a pretty standard brunch vibe in Calgary. read more

We gave our son a choice where he wanted to go for Brunch for his Birthday. He decided on OEG great we said let's go there. Not realizing it's Lilac Festival on Sunday, they had 4th street totally closed to vehicle traffic. So you guessed traffic was horrific and parking was next to impossible. Have no fear our son says I know a place where we can park. He did no lie we drove right in and found a spot. We walked to OEB where we were on a waiting list to be seated. We arrived right on time and were seated outside in a covered patio. Soon as we were seated our server brought us water and took our drink orders and food order Our server Michelle was wonderful! We ordered French Toast strawberry and blueberry with whipped cream, Soul in a bowl,Traditional Benny, The one that did not get away Benny and of course drinks. Due to the Lilac Festival was very very busy. Regardless of that the food and drinks came to us fairly fast and hot. Everything tasted delicious! food was great, service was just close to being horrible. we were checked on maybe just about 2-3 times which is fine but our waters were never refilled. and we asked another server for a side of avocado and 15-20 minutes pass by and no avocado nor any acknowledgment from any of the staff working. this wouldn't really be an issue to me if they just forgot it but the server that served us only had about 3 tables for himself and was at the bar most of the time. had to flag them down for the bill. read more

I came here for my mom's 51st bday, it's our favourite spot in all of Calgary for brunch. Food was amazing as always, I did notice it was a lot busier than usual. We still ended up waiting over an hour for our food which is why I gave 4 stars if not easily could've been 5. Our server was good, trying their best to check up on us. Great brekkie. Classic Breakfast .They give you real butter for the toast, none of that horrible margarine. Service was fast and courteous Roomy location with a deck area. I asked for another slice of toast as only one comes with the meal and it was free. Free ketchup also came but as I had sausages I prefer mustard. Much to my surprise the approximate 2 tablespoons of mustard comes with a $2.50 charge!!?? I only used a small portion of the mustard so just to prove a point, I asked for the leftover mustard to go. It used to be our absolute favourite breakfast spot but as of late I think the ownership or the operator may have changed and the quality of the food kinda took a turn for the worst. Their coffee was the best in town but the very last time we were there we could literally test the boiled water in our coffee. My boyfriend and I went there for a brunch today, and we ordered 3 different food, my bf ordered the gnocchi carbonara and mine was the Canadian lobster & shrimp crepe. Lastly, we had the french toast trifle for dessert. Overall the food is okay, nothing too special about it. Not that a big wow factor, my only complaint was when the server gave my bf the gnocchi carbonara we saw a fruit fly flying around the food, and we called the attention of the server, and she didn't even offered to change our food or anything, she just ignored us. I have been to this place a couple of times over the summer. I use to go to the Edmonton Trail location and noticed it has expanded and became a franchise since moving back to Calgary. The food is good and the service is good too. It's on the pricy side. However the quality of the food has also improved and they now has an extensive menu. It does get busy over the summer but it has an outdoor patio. I ordered a breakfast poutine which did not have the traditional cheese curds and gravy but instead it contained spinach, avocado and waffle cut fries. It was ok but I should have ordered a dish that had more of the traditional poutine ingredients. I also had the eggs benny and it was quite good. Overall, pretty good restaurant. read more

As soon as I walked in I was so impressed by the servers who greeted me. It is so clean, bright and warm. The menu is so overwhelming because you want to have it all and looking around at the dishes people ordered around me I was super excited. My breakfast was light, flavourful and delicious. We came here on the last day of my friends bachelorette trip spontaneously due to good reviews and I am so so so pleased with our decision! First off, the interior was so cool and trendy! The yelp app just made sure I did not get into the restaurant. Yelp needs to change the 'number ahead of you'. It reported 14 people ahead of us. We were sure that meant another half an hour of waiting. So we left. The restaurant needs to STOP using your app. It is completely misleading.
