    Traditional Eggs Benny
    Chad G.

Ten of us descended upon OEB in Bridgeland on a busy Monday over the holidays. The OEB team was ready for our reservation and was very welcoming. As a mix of kids and adults, we had a range of tastes and desires and if you haven't looked at the menu yet, pause and have a look, it has something for everyone. I chose the traditional Benny with Rosemary ham and a side of hard wood smoked bacon. Spectacular! The crepes were a hit, though they were attacked quickly preventing any photos. The staff were accommodating, knowledgeable about the menu and kept us all feeling well taken care of. I can only assume that the other locations are similarly amazing so wherever you are and whenever you're in need of breakfast or Brunch, OEB is a must do.

A great breakfast/brunch place in Calagary. They have several locations in the city (& diff states). We got there early and got seated right away. However they got really busy during brunch time so i recommend making reservations. The food took a long time to be served. But the manage/waiters were checking on us and doing the best they can. The portions are good and the crepe was delicious. The french toast was little oversweet. Overall a good place to have breakfast. Street parking across the street (free during early AM).

Good Digga!!!! Bomb, is all I have to say, get it with half greens half potatoes with that poached egg, so yummy and tasty. I can see why this is. I hate spot came here for the first time visiting for the first time on a Friday, didn't have to wait long and even if I did, it would be worth it!!

This was an amazing brunch spot!!! We came right around 2:30, only 15 minutes before the restaurant closed and we were still seated and served!!! Understandably, we couldn't order certain menu items, but we were able to order two of the different breakfast poutines and the vegetarian crepe. All three dishes were delicious. The gold digga poutine was probably my favorite - had pieces of pork belly mixed in with the perfectly crisp fries, and truffle gravy. The poutine with short rib was also delicious - had sautéed onions, peppers, and mushroom with a flavorful beef gravy and cheese curds. The vegetarian crepe was good, but nothing too too special. The crepe itself was very impressively thin and the perfect canvas for the scrambled eggs and vegetables inside. We will have to come back to try some of their sweet options next time!!

Came here on a Friday , wait was about 5 min. As soon as we got seated our hostess was super attentive. Food was great! The ambiance was nice perfect for families, dates or just to stop by yourself. Will definitely be back.

This was my first and only meal in Calgary but one that I will never forget. We stopped here for brunch before our drive to Banff and were quite hungry TBH. We ordered scrambled crepe, chunky lobster scramble and cappuccino. Everything was pretty good. The place was not too crowded, although we didn't go here at peak time and were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and service was good. Loved the decor as well, it had a modern land trendy look. Will definitely come back here if I am in the area again.

We had breakky here for my mom's birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The dining area is very clean and has great aesthetics. Love the music playing that day as well, even my daughter started dancing to it as soon as she got in the restaurant. They also have great servers that are very prompt and personable. Very accommodating with my food restrictions as well. Not to mention it is very family friendly and kid friendly. They have an alright vegan menu, which would be nice if they had maybe 2 or more savoury vegan options. The food we ordered were all were large portions and very tasty! I had their vegan burger and I brought home more than half for lunch and it was so tasty even after I airfried it. Will definitely come back for brunch again with my family!

I was looking for a hearty meal for a late lunch that would hold me over for the rest of the day. Cue OEB Breakfast with their breakfast poutines. When in Canada .. * THE SOUL IN A BOWL This is a fancy take on poutine - beef tallow fried potatoes wedges with cheese curds, bacon pieces, poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. I like that there are several ways you can customize the poutine - can sub greens (multiple options for greens) for potatoes or do 50/50, choose how the egg should be cooked, and you even get to pick what type of hot sauce you want if you opt for it. I tried to be healthier so I did a mix of potatoes and arugula, and I got my eggs runny. The poutine was more filling than what is depicted. Even with getting half greens I still felt like there was plenty of potato and there was more bacon than I thought. The bacon was thick cut, not like the crispy bacon strips. One thing I look for in cheese curds is the squeak and unfortunately these didn't have them. I also would've liked to see more curds in the bowl. The eggs were cooked perfectly so I had the runny yolk to dip the wedges into. All around this was an innovative twist on poutine but I prefer the simple, classic dish. The waitstaff was so friendly, cheerful, and patient as I was ordering (it threw me off that they were asking if I wanted greens with my poutine). The menu has a wide range of breakfast/brunch items, so I think this was a great spot.

If you show up after 9am, be prepared to wait a bit or make reservations in advance on Toast to be safe. I tried their newer item, birria de res eggs benedict, which is served on cheese bannock, an indigenous Canadian bread, and opted to sub potatoes/salad for garlic fried rice for 3 CAD surcharge, which is well worth it. The beef was tender and the eggs are perfectly runny and the cheese bannock added heartiness and a more unique texture compared to English muffin. It is a combo of Mexican, indigenous Canadian, and Filipino influences all in 1 dish! To pair with the food, I had a pineapple mimosa which was of good portion. Originally, the dish had hair so I caught it and flagged the issue, so they immediately remade the whole dish for me, apologized, and comped my mimosa so despite losing 10 min of my time, I am okay with this remedy, so I rate this experience for the food and service outside of this incident. This is one of the more innovative and delicious brunch spots I have tried, so it is no surprise this place is fairly hyped up

It came with thick cut smoked salmon on top of sushi seasoned rice with poached eggs, seaweed, and spinach on the side. The seaweed pieces tasted old and were hard to chew. The seasoned rice had too much vinegar in it. The poached egg and salmon tasted fine. It also came with miso soup but it tasted strange, not sure why there was oil in it... miso soup usually does not contain oil. My fiance got the Breakfast in Manila and thought it was alright as well. The rice was too salty and the sausage tasted like low quality meat. It seemed like they were short on waitresses and it took a while for them to take our order and for us to get the check. This place is also a plant store and it felt cozy. Overall had a decent experience.

By the time it arrived, everything was stone cold. The cheese was literally hard from melting and then going cold, the potatoes were undercooked and raw, and the entire meal was completely inedible. Spending $35 on food that went straight in the garbage is beyond frustrating, it's infuriating. And the $5 "seasonal fruit bowl" looked like someone's picked-over leftovers. A couple random pieces tossed in a container and sent out like that's acceptable? It's honestly disgusting and shows a complete lack of quality control. At this point, I would've been better off ordering McDonald's for a third of the price, because at least it would've shown up hot and edible. This is careless, overpriced, and completely unacceptable. 1STAR. Complete fail.
