We came here for a Mother's Day Brunch so the restaurant was open earlier than usual and more families were present than what I'd imagine for a place like this that usually only opens starting at 5PM. We had the crabcake eggs benedict and the lobster toast. Both dishes were good but definitely more expensive than your typical benedict. Bloody mary was delicious and worth the price. Ordered a kid's burger with fries for my son which was a bit dry but he still ate a decent portion of it. The prices were high as expected but this restaurant is on inKind so it definitely makes the prices way more reasonable. This is one of the two Ocean Prime locations in Orlando in Dr Phillips. It is a well known upscale chain of restaurants across the US. So much of Orlando is dominated by very average chains but Ocean Prime stands out as one of the better ones imo. Upscale with a bit of a trendy modern feel. Food (4.5/5) - Extensive selection of seafood-dominated mains and appetizers, but also complimented by upscale steaks, sides and salads. Hamachi Crudo - Hamachi pieces with pickled mango, sweet peppers, cilantro, sesame ginger vinaigrette - outstanding appetizer - hamachi was very fresh and the mix in the crudo just works so well together. We enjoyed it so much we ordered another one instead of dessert at the end of the meal lol. Oysters On the Half Shell - had half a dozen of the west coast ones and they were pretty good... fresh and flavourful but not briney. Sea Scallops - served on a parmesan risotto, with english peas, and a citrus vinaigrette. Outstanding main... perfectly cooked texture and balanced flavour/seasoning with the perfect amount of searing. Grouper - served with lobster pieces, pasta, peas and garnishments in an emulsion. Cooked to proper firmness and a nice fresh flavour. Side Asparagus - not bad... cooked to proper firmness but maybe on bland side. Service (4.75/5) - top notch - very attentive, knowledgeable and upscale. Server and support table staff were all professional and engaging. Celebrated my birthday here. We were greeted warmly at the door but the vibes were kinda off with the person who checked us in. Not sure if they were just having an off day. Nonetheless, we had a great dinner, our server was very kind and attentive. The food here is spectacular, their wedge salad is HUGE!! I was full by the time the main course came. I got the rib eye, my husband had the filet. The steak was tender, juicy and flavorful. However, I became OBSESSED with the truffle popcorn that they make in house. Our waiter even gave me a to go container filled with it. Lastly, they let you pick out anything off the dessert menu if you're celebrating your birthday for free. I put in reservation notes that it was my husband and I's anniversary. The hostess acknowledged this on arrival AND on our way out, as did both the waiter and waitress we interacted with. We were there for Orlando magical dining, which included an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. The dessert they gave us was their signature butter cake, which was not an option for magical dining. I am shocked it's not as I'm sure magical dining brings new customers in and it was INCREDIBLE. One of the best desserts I have eaten in my life. It has a steep price tag of $19 but I will not hesitate to order it every time we return. He spent so much time chatting with other tables that we had to get a busy boy (for lack of better terms) to get someone else to bring the check the manager had to come give our checks and close out the tab. I recently was here for a business meeting over dinner and this place hit perfect on each level that I cannot recommend this place enough. Matthew was our server and he was absolutely fantastic. He was professional and perfectly described each dish in such a wonderful way, that they all sounded fantastic. I ended up going with a ribeye steak with truffle butter and truly enjoyed it. For our sides, we had truffle fries, lobster mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and spinach. My favorite was probably the truffle fries. For appetizers, we had lamb lollipops, calamari, sushi, shrimp and gnocchi. I thought the calamari was my favorite. Dessers were good, too. I thought the creme brulee was pretty amazing. We visited ocean prime on a Tuesday night a little before 7pm. My friend and I were leaving a networking event a few doors down and noticed they were still doing happy hour so we popped in. Happy hour is discounted drinks and $5 off the bar menu. We were immediately greeted upon entry and they showed us to the open seating bar. They have a limited menu at the bar, but it's a pretty good variety. I ordered the sliders. They were pretty good, but I found them slightly oversauced. My friend got the ravioli which she said was good and had a strong goat cheese flavor. I reviewed the cocktail list and found that all of their drinks seemed pretty high in alcohol level. Since I was about to start a night shift after, I opted for a glass of wine which was quite a solid pour! Our bartending team was all pretty great. The service start to finish was solid here. Overall, I probably wouldn't go back in here unless I had a business dinner or specific reason. It's a pricey spot, and the food we had didn't seem special enough to warrant that. read more

Yum!! That 10 layers.. What I was here with a couple of my coworkers for a work dinner. For starters, we had the calamari - this was delicious! The sauce was not overpowering and the calamari was the right breading and crunchiness. The interior is quite the setting that fits the dollar signs of this restaurant. They had a attire policy at the door. There is a bar area that you can hang out at while waiting for the rest of your party to arrive. The bar area and the main seating area was divided so the dining area was quieter. We shared the oysters and prime steak tartare for appetizers. Tried a sushi roll as well and it was very good. Devoured the Chilean Sea Bass for my entree. It was perfectly cooked and so flavorful. This could be my ignorance but was out of the norm for me. The bread was very fresh and good and I'm glad I got it overall. I got the NY strip and garlic infused mashed potatoes. I asked for well done and it was still pink but not as much so I didn't request for it to be returned. I enjoyed the flavor. The garlic infused mashed potatoes were great! I am an avid fan of American steakhouses and this spot truly met and exceeded my expectations. Service was great, you can tell the staff go above and beyond. Food was delicious, we started with the steak tar tar and goat cheese ravioli. The ravioli was my favorite, savory and flavorful. For my main I order the 8 oz filet medium rare topped with truffle butter and it was so delicious and juicy and cooked perfectly. But the overall highlight for me was the lobster Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is one of those dishes for me that homemade is the best way to go, and rarely do I find a restaurant that prepares it like you would at home, but they nailed it at ocean prime....because they use Tillamook cheddar, which is what I use at home and what I think is the best cheddar for Mac and cheese! The lobster was also cooked just right, tender and juicy. We finished our night with butter cake and crème brûlée....which we had to take the crème brûlée home because we were so full. Butter cake was sweet but not overly sweet and the creamy vanilla ice cream paired it nicely. We were a little early, so we sat at the bar and I had a blueberry and blackberry Mojito. It was magnificent! Consistency is key!!! It's been a minute since we dined at Ocean Prime, but our dinner on Saturday night was as perfect as it ever has been. From the valet, to the host, to our server Dylan and his support staff Eric... everyone was friendly, efficient and catered to our every need before even asking. The interior is still very chic with great lighting but also comfortable. It's lively but you can still enjoy dinner conversation with your guests. Bread and cocktails come out quickly and the food service can be as fast or as leisurely as you'd like. Food highlights include their steak and seafood. The Chilean Sea Bass is the best I've ever had... huge portion, cooked perfectly. We are also big fans of their sides with our favorite being the jalapeño au gratin. Do not skip! Be sure to save room for the dessert as theirs are epic. The warm butter cake is their signature and tasty. If you like carrot cake their 10 layer version is a spectacle and fantastically delicious. My favorite is for sure the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie... it remains my favorite dessert ever. I think there is a little room for improvement with their specialty cocktails... what they do have is good, but there could be some more options with some variation.
