I was especially delighted by how good the salad tasted. The prices were decent for the quality and for the fact this restaurant is inside a major theme park, Universal's Epic Universe. Overall, good quality of food, service, and decor. And if you eat at night like I did, you might be able to see the water show outside the windows at 9pm. read more

We booked dinner here after a day in the park, it's a bit upscale inside but regular park wear seems to be accepted. The interior is nicely decorated with an aquatic theme. At times it apparently gets busy so we made reservations. The park was slammed but the restaurant had plenty of open tables. I had the espresso martini to drink which was pretty good! I was really excited to try this place, but it all just felt a little bit overly manufactured. Even the ambiance didn't hit me the way I thought it would. Two different times I waited at the host stand for a little while. Both times I went to the bar and waited for about 20 minutes without being greeted or getting a drink. It was not busy, though the bar is a circle so maybe that affected things? The second time I was waiting at the host stand, two young staff members were standing there discussing something about work--no problem. But it went on for like several minutes, no one looked up or acknowledge me, until I said something like should I come back? And the whole interaction after that was just like a little bit odd. My server was fine. But to be honest, I was extremely disappointed with the food. The lobster roll is served warm, which is in my thing, but hey, that's how they serve it. Not my major complaint. But all the butter and flavor were in this aïoli that kind of just leaked through the bread. Everything just kind of felt thrown together. And while there were huge pieces of lobster, it didn't sit well with me. Not to mention, the bread was falling apart. If you're going to pay a lot of money for a lobster roll, I'd like to see a little more loving in it. I got a gin melon highball drink. I think I've noticed it's recently been removed from the menu. Either way I would not suggest it. I actually couldn't drink it. It reminded me of medicine. I'm a huge gin girl. The waiter said I know not everyone likes gin and I was like no no gin is my thing, I used to work at a gin distillery. But she was kind enough to take it away and take it off my bill. I have yet to return, even though I've been to Epic quite a few times. After a long day of walking it's nice to have a sit down restaurant that's central to everything in the park. For appetizer we ordered the sweet and sour shrimp which could've been crispier. Our waiter recommended the bucatini and since I was just starving, anything sounded good. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of its creamy red sauce. The portions were small though. What an amazing dinner. We were exhausted after a full day at Epic Universal looking for an upscale restaurant. We found the Atlantic. What's an incredible atmosphere inside the restaurant with all Atlantic Ocean themes. We were welcomed by Chris our server, she was very polite and informative on the menu. I had the northern lights (see pic) cocktail to start which was very cool and delicious. I had the Lobster roll, my wife had the scallops, my kids had the chicken and a burger. Everyone was very happy with what they ordered. Chris was very attentive, she checked back with several times during the meal. This was an excellent experience that capped off a great day. When you go to amusement parks you are not thinking about food. Often you just grab something on the go that is just ok but sustains you to keep walking through the park. This time, we decided to take a time to sit and eat and enjoy a nice place inside the park. We had a reservation at Atlantic, and they surprised us with how good everything was. Our expectations weren't high, again... park food. But once we got in, the place is really nice, decorated to match their ocean theme. Enough seating area to fit the volume of people the park gets, and with a beautiful window seating area, if you are lucky to get a table there (we were). They are very organized, and friendly. The menu is not big but has something for everyone. We decided to share their apple cider onion bisque and, again, were surprised how delicious it was. Poured at the table, the presentation was like a 5 stars restaurant. Then our grouper sandwich came out. Good size piece of fish, flaky and not overly breaded. We attended Atlantic in Epic Universe for the first dinner of an anniversary weekend kick off. If I'm being honest, I went in with underwhelmed expectations. This is a theme park restaurant, and the majority of the reviews I had read on various platforms cautioned that this restaurant was overpriced, under-seasoned, and slow in the service department. I am grateful for those reviews because the lack of hype in going here meant I wasn't built up for a let down. Instead, quite the contrary. This place was exceptional, not just for a theme park restaurant, but for a slightly fine dining/upscale experience as a whole. We were seated right by the window with perfect timing for the fountain show. Our server, (one of my countrymen...a British gent) was extremely informed about the dishes and a pleasure to chat with. We started with the jumbo lump crab cake which was very tasty. Not necessarily the best crab cake I've ever had, but a generous portion on a bed of corn purée and topped with a jicama and pepper slaw. For dinner I had the the P.E.I. mussels which IS in the running for best mussels I've had ever. The broth, a tomatillo tequila butter sauce with a cilantro pesto, was so flavorful and dynamic. I honestly could have eaten 2 servings with some chips and been very happy. My husband had the scallops with risotto which was perfectly cooked and very delicious, but the flavor of the moules broth stole the prize that night. We're not usually big dessert people, but we thought, when in Epic, why not? We had the Passion Fruit "Caviar" which comes in a cute little caviar tin. Beneath the passion fruit pearls a decadent dark chocolate and hazelnut base offers some richer notes to balance the fresh tartness of the passion fruit. I may or may not have licked the tin. As far as the bill, is it pricey? Yes if you're comparing it to hot dogs and hamburgers. No if you're comparing it to any other upscale place in Orlando. The pricing was fairly in line and reasonable for that, particularly for the quality and attention to detail. If you plan for only one sit down meal in Epic, let this be it! read more

I'd give it three stars because overall I wasn't super impressed. The service wasn't great as they weren't that attentive and forgot a few things we asked for. The food was decent, but not amazing. That said, the atmosphere was awesome, it felt like being underwater with fish "swimming" above you and surrounded by glass. The view from the dining hall is fabulous. The tall floor to ceiling windows allow you to look out over the park as you eat, which made for such a fun experience. The service at the restaurant was very friendly and helpful. We arrived about an hour early for our reservation, and when we asked if we could dine sooner, they were able to seat us in about 10 minutes. Our waitress was very attentive. My favorite dish of the meal was the tuna tartare. I think I could eat three bowls of it, and that would be my top recommendation. I ordered the scallop dish, which came with four scallops, mushrooms arranged along the edge, broccoli, and additional garnish. I didn't feel that the garnish and broccoli flavors blended well with the scallops and Arborio rice. We also ordered the half pound lobster roll, which was very good. There was plenty of lobster meat in the roll, and we were able to butter it to our liking. This was an outing for a couple birthdays, and we had an amazing time. At the last minute, I looked up a good place for us to eat while we were at EPIC universe, and the Atlantic was on the top of the list. Let me say if you are hungry and here you will not be disappointed! Everything was delicious and for those people who wanted non-seafood dishes they were willing to substitute chicken where they could We didn't have a bad drink or a bad appetizer or a bad moment. Our waiter was amazing funny and had wonderful pointers for enjoying our day. The restaurant has beautiful views of the entire park and looking out the windows are an absolute treat. We decided to bite the bullet and dine at Atlantic (I've been to Epic Universe around a dozen times, but I haven't ever made the stop in). The atmosphere was gorgeous in here! Reminded me of 1930's glamour mixed with a titanic vibe with all of the wooden finishes, naturally. Started off with the Northern Nights cocktail- light, refreshing, and lemony, it wasn't too sweet or too heavy on the alcohol (and very pretty as well). We had multiple appetizers like the spicy shrimp, tartare, and oysters. MAN, those oysters were fresh and divine! I would get a full dozen next time versus a half! My entree was the filet. While I wasn't a fan of the mashed potatoes, the filet was cooked to perfection and was a generous portion, sooooo I couldn't fit dessert. Steak was too good! You can actually see a big and beautiful sign that says -Atlantic We didn't make reservations and glad they had a opening for 2 people. We started with crab cakes. Why 5 stars? Because this was definitely our favorite meal during our Disney/Universal weekend. --- --- --- We were ending our day at Epic and debating between eating somewhere at the park or grabbing something in Orlando on the way back to our hotel. Ultimately, my wife noted that Atlantic had lobster rolls and that sold us pretty quickly, as lobster rolls might be our favorite thing on Earth. So off we went. You hardly feel like you're at a theme park when you're inside here, other than the fact that you can see a couple of the rides through the glass windows. It's a pretty nice dining experience and you're very shielded from the ambient noise of the park. As for the food, we started off with the sweet & spicy shrimp, which was perfectly fine - a solid 3.5 stars. We then ordered the aforementioned lobster roll and the burger and then split them. The lobster roll was top notch - an easy 5-stars. I was fully expecting it to be skimpy in terms of the lobster, but it was the opposite. They really jammed every last ounce of meat into this thing and served it with a side of melted butter. It was what my hopes and dreams are made of. The burger was also very good - I would have been happy with it, had the lobster roll not existed, but it just got outshined by the fact that the lobster roll was so excellent. 4-stars. We finished with the Landlubber's Snickerdoodle Loot for dessert, which is served in a very kid-friendly manner. The problem is that mom and dad wanted to eat it so quickly that our son didn't get to try more than a bite or two. 3.5-stars. If you're coming to Epic, it's not going to be a cheap day, but I recommend splurging one final time and grabbing a meal here. read more

5 months later and this is STILL the BEST restaurant and now it is also officially the BEST bar at any Universal theme park. I came back a second time just for drinks. When you walk in, you walk literally into the bar at the top of the restaurant. There are a bunch of seats to order drinks, and only drinks. Today, I was feeling like espresso martinis. For $18 an espresso martini they're better than any drink you're going to get anywhere else. It's a legit espresso martini. Think Wine Bar George or The BoatHouse at Disney Springs. I had the bartender make mine with vodka, the normal way. Although there is a manhattan espresso martini on the menu. Love the a/c. Love the drinks. Love the food. After an entire day spent at Epic universe, we ended up here for dinner. We waited for about 5 minutes, no reservations but they were able to accommodate us. The restaurant is beautiful with eye-catchingly colorful fish decors. The bar area was spacious but we were seated at a quite corner in a half-moon booth. Our waitress was quick with the service and friendly. We ordered our drinks and our main courses right away since it was quite late and did not want to linger for too long. I had the sea bass and my husband had the burger. We both enjoyed our meal. My sea bass was prepared perfectly with excellent flavors. This was our main meal at Epic Universal. It took about 35 minutes to get our table, but it felt good to sit down inside waiting. The decoration is beautiful. Glass fish circling above in a make believe sea. Really amazing to see. Plus the fountains are just outside, which adds more beauty to the ambience. Tiffany was our server, and she walked us through the menu. It was not extensive. But for theme park fare it was quite good. I had the tuna tartare as my starter. Delicious. A day in the newest Orlando theme park doesn't always prompt thoughts of a fine dining experience, but when your mother asks to attend an Epic Universe preview for Mother's Day (yes, this review is late), you say yes and also make sure to take her to a proper sit-down dinner. Atlantic did not disappoint, though theme park prices are certainly in full force here. A beautiful multi-floor restaurant overlooking the park's water features, our booth felt secluded and service was quick and kind. Drinks were worth writing home about, but specifically the sweet corn chowder and Prince Edward Island muscles certainly stole the show before our main dishes. My bucatini was a bit salty, but not overpowering. Certainly not an every day occasion restaurant, but a great addition to the high-end theme park dining experience list. read more

An Excellent lunch at Epic. We were having a nice day at the park when a storm was starting to roll in. Luckily our reservation at Atlantic was at about the same time. We came in out of the weather to a beautiful restaurant. the bar was very inviting but we had a table rez. after a small wait we were walked down to the lower table, right on the glass with the fountains. It was a really great view. Our server was over very quick, got our drinks and order in place and shortly after our bisque was out. We both agreed, that for the consideration of the restaurant being in an amusement park, it was exceptional soup. We split a fish sandwich, we didn't want to get too full before getting back at the rides. It also was darn good. I've had some pitiful sandwiches at restaurants at the parks, but this was solid. We showed up on time for our reservation and were escorted to a private booth that gave us a beautiful view of the park and some space away from people. There are a lot of tables sat next to each other, and I'm glad we did not sit there. It took around 10 minutes for anyone to stop by and about 15 minutes for cocktails to come out. That was frustrating, however whenever they eventually came, we enjoyed the AC and made a game plan for the rest of the day. My son ordered the burger medium and it came out almost well done; we didn't send it back because of how long everything took. The lobster roll was heavenly, but a tiny portion for $50. Atlantic is Epic Universe's "elevated" dining experience option in the park. It feels very grandiose when you walk in and see the beautiful bar that looks over a balcony and stairs leading down to the main dining area that then looks out over the whole park. Want the best dining view at the park? Come to Atlantic. We came during the week for dinner so it wasn't super busy, but I'd recommend making a reservation ahead of time if you want to eat here. We had a reservation, it wasn't busy and we still had to wait to be seated. They had a pretty small menu, but all seafood themed as you'd expect from a restaurant called Atlantic. I tried the filet mignon, and it was one of the best pieces of meat I have tried in awhile, just fantastic. It came with some form of layered potato on the side, and having a bite of filet, with potato and the sauce altogether was just chefs kiss. We really enjoyed their seafood pasta as well. And where the food menu is smaller, the drink/ wine menu it probably twice that. Lots of fun options, we didn't try this time but the bar up top you can sit at and get a drink even if you don't want to dine in. Our waitress was a super sweet Puerto Rican gal (can't remember her name sadly) and Alaowei who was the food runner were wonderful and made the experience a lot better. It still seemed like their service could become a little more efficient considering it wasn't super busy when we came. And because it's higher tier dining, the prices more than reflect that. The food was at least enjoyable so the money wasn't wasted, but definitely just something we wanted to try for the experience and wouldn't be willing to pay real often. We seriously cannot think of a bad thing to say about this place. We will start with the view and the ambience in the restaurant. Absolutely amazing view of the park along with the fountains in celestial Park. The fish and the artwork on the inside is absolutely beautiful! We ordered the chili shrimp appetizer, the scallop entrée, the shrimp, pasta, entrée, and the snickerdoodle dessert. We ate every last bite of every single item. There was so much flavor, everything was cooked correctly, the dessert was sweet, but not too much to give you a stomachache. We cannot think of a single thing bad with this place!
