Another great dinner at Bigfire. This time we were seated in the main downstairs area and it was a busy night. We frequently had people squeezing in between our table and the other ones next to us. I would recommend requesting to sit upstairs. They have some cool seating where you can look over the edge. Our food was delicious, as always, and perfectly cooked. I don't generally like carrots, but these were really good. I had to try my husband's fries, for research purposes, and those were nice and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, hot and fresh.

We grabbed a drink and an appetizer at the Bigfire Bar after leaving a day at Universal and it was the perfect spot! My husband and I each got a cocktail and then we shared the Bourbon Cheese Fondue which was the perfect thing to split. Next time we will have to try an entree!

Came in here to have a drink and to avoid the crowds at the Universal buses. We sat at the bar because the wait for a table was a little longer than we would have liked. We had been hoping to sit outside, but they closed that area up for the night as we were arriving. We ordered two drinks and muscles. My husband loved the muscles and devoured them. I got a non alcoholic drink, which I think was the blackberry breeze, that was pretty good. My husband got the PB&J, which was very much alcoholic! The bartender that got our drinks and took our order was very nice.

I got ribeye and a drink. Everything was good. The steak was of good quality but nothing special. At this price point, it's okay. Service is great. They mentioned it could take 30-45 minutes for the steak to come so keep that in mind. The ambiance is loud but nice.

So yummy! 4 of us had dinner here on Jan the 2nd We ordered the Brussel sprouts and smoked trout dip for appetizers. They were both very delicious!! Brussel Sprouts were cooked perfectly and hit the spot. The smoked trout is delicious! Perfect amount of smoking on a dip made of smoked trout. It's served with crackers and it's wonderful! My wife and daughter ordered the Salmon and loved it! Generous piece of grilled salmon perfectly done was so delicious! I had the short rib and it was yummy! Tender smoked short rib covered with a tangy bbq sauce. Very tender and yummy! My son had the mussel appetizer along with a side of mac n cheese. He loved it! Mussels perfectly cooked served with a cheesy Mac n cheese covered with smoked pulled pork. He loved it! Please see the pictures below and let your eyes do some feasting!

Recommended by a friend, I made a reservation at Bigfire during a recent trip to Universal for a conference. Unfortunately, this ended up being a one-and-done experience for me. Like many of the restaurants at CityWalk, it just didn't deliver. We started with the fondue appetizer, which was good overall, but still a little lacking in flavor. Decent, but nothing memorable. I also ordered the corn bisque to start, and that was a definite miss. The popcorn was odd and completely unnecessary, and the soup itself was bland almost reminiscent of baby food. Terribly under-seasoned. For my main course, I chose the bone-in short rib. The portion was shockingly small for the price less than the size of a deck of cards. The meat was tender and could have been flavorful, but the cold, unpleasant BBQ sauce on top completely ruined it. It was served with an ear of corn that was shriveled, overcooked, and cold, along with a piece of jalapeño cornbread so hard you couldn't even cut it with a steak knife. Overall, Bigfire was a big miss for me.

Bigfire was a fantastic steakhouse we ate at while in Universal studios. Highly recommend making a reservation so you don't need to wait for too long. We sat upstairs and had a whole view of the entire restaurant. Rebekah was our awesome server. We started with the wedge salad since I had been craving one! It came with avocado, red onions, tomatoes, egg, bacon, blue cheese dressing. Each and every ingredient was extremely fresh and delicious. I got my bacon bits on the side. Bigfire is unique in that they enhance their flavor by using live fire and two types of wood for the taste of the meat. We ordered the 14 oz ribeye and the bone in short rib along with the Pork Mac and cheese. My mouth is seriously watering thinking about how delicious and flavorful it all was!!! The bone in short rib was Carolina barbecue style served with grilled corn on the cob, vine tomatoes, cipollini onions, spicy maple glazed jalapeño and cornbread. It actually melted in our mouths and was falling apart with each move of our fork. The ribeye came with asparagus and chimichurri sauce on top. The meats were so incredibly tasty. For dessert, we got the Rocky Road Baked Alaska which came with chocolate ice cream, toasted marshmallows, caramel praline crust, huckleberry core, meringue, and was torched tableside which was fun to witness!! Overall 10/10 experience!!! A must go to steakhouse in universal for sure.

    Steak Knife Burger

Universal Studios designed restaurant in the heart of Universal City Walk . It's huge ! I went with the Steak Knife Burger - 1/2lb. black Angus beer, honey pepper bacon, smoked pimento cheese, bib lettuce, tomato, signature brioche bun. The burger was juicy and that honey pepper bacon was the perfect combination. The bun was not too overwhelming. The french fries served with the burger not your typical shoestring, pretty big. And very salty. The service was really good, I asked to be moved as a single diner. I was placed in a heavy traffic area. Luckily, I was moved to the second floor, which I suggest for anybody looking for a nice area to dine in this restaurant. My server Kenneth M couldn't have been nicer, which always makes a difference at a dining experience.

Made reservations online, were seated within 2 min of reservation. Had great window seat and could watch people leave the park. Great service, all food came out timely. My salmon was cooked perfectly, roasted mussels appetizer plenty for two. Hubby said his tbone was excellent. Maybe should have skipped the bread appetizer and got the tableside smores. Highly recommend

I have to be honest, I didn't know what to expect when my friends and I made a reservation at Bjgfire. I go to Universal Studios quite often, but I never really eat in CityWalk. We had a concert to attend that evening and decided to check out Bigfire. My advice is to make a reservation ahead of time because it does get busy. We were sat by the windows which was a great view of CityWalk and good people watching opportunity ;) Since we were pressed for time, I ordered the burger and fries. I have to say, the burger was really delicious. If was juicy and cooked to perfection, Our waitress was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Next time I am in CityWalk, I will explore the menu more and order something different. Great experience!

    Strawberry cornbread shortcake
    Katie N.

Quality steakhouse, overrated and overpriced for a theme park. The grilled veggies and steak was good quality and other not worth it. Service was excellent and ambiance is great (open yet enclosed kitchen concept). Had cheese fondue platter, the scallops risotto, kids Mac&Cheese. The strawberry cornbread shortcake was a disappointment

My group was seated at 9 pm and the staff were friendly! You can tell they're tired, but they still provided top notch service. This restaurant does walk-ins (we waited an hour), but definitely recommend a reservation! It's a nice place to wind down after a day in the parks, but it's not super casual. Definitely date night vibes! I like being able to come from the main entrance and not walk a billion steps to have good food! The menu is on the pricier side, but the food was really good. I got the Rack of Lamb cooked medium and the sauce was phenomenal! It had a hint of sweetness that just elevated the taste! It's probably the best rack of lamb I've ever had! The mussels were also good, definitely eat it with the sauce it comes with -- same with the lobster tail! The filet mignon was pretty average, and the pappardelle was unfortunately a little too salty for my group. The Rocky Road Baked Alaska is really good too, and they flambé it in front of you! Nonetheless, the food here is great, we will definitely be back!

I must say I was not a fan at all and I cannot be upset with anyone but myself I had no business ordering that definitely wasn't good at all... I should have just either stuck to a ribeye or strip or a piece of salmon and caled it a night or had a liquid dinner... Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.
