The hotel itself is beautiful but I would not recommend "the kitchen". The breakfast buffet is not worth the price. On our second day there we decided to leave the hotel and get breakfast elsewhere. We ate at the Denny's on I drive and had ZERO complaints which is insane. The kitchen should blow Denny's out the water! Needless to say we expected much better food for the price and location.

Stayed at the Hard rock this past weekend so we definitely had to check out the onsite dining. The kitchen was delicious!!! Their calamari was hands down the best I've ever had. Light and crispy. Just perfect. The short rib ragout was amazing and cooked perfectly. Very savory. Our server Bryan was very friendly and took great care of us. Everyone loved their dish. I definitely recommend eating here if you're staying at the Hard Rock

Located in the Hard Rock Hotel is The Kitchen. My parents and I stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in December 2024, and dined here several times for both dinner and for breakfast. We dined here mainly out of convenience as the food wasn't anything standout in our opinion; though they do make a decent dirty vodka martini. Very solid service no matter the day part and the restaurant was comfortable and clean. If you are staying on property, it's worth visiting but I couldn't see coming here if not staying at this property.

Classic Mac & Cheese

If this place was about half the price I would probably rate it 5 stars. It's resort pricing, so I guess it shouldn't be surprising, but I would expect the food to reflect the pricing. I actually really like the mac and cheese entree--the cheese is delicious and I like the crunchiness of the bread crumbs. But it's a pretty straightforward comfort food meal for $21 dollars. My wife got the margherita flatbread and I didn't try it because it looked extremely unappetizing. The Velvet Bar upstairs actually has better quality food options, if it's after 5pm. The good news is the staff here are great, and you can get parking validated if you eat here (which they also do at the Velvet Bar when you spend over $40). It's a cool spot with a lot of potential and located at a great hotel.

Fun times in Babylon

My friend and I came in for magical dining as we were trying to get another restaurant down our list. We had reservations for 730 but I ran late. They told her they couldn't hold the reservation but when I got there around 9 the place was a little empty. We sat down and went through the menu. I started with a cocktail. Did the fun times in babylon. It was good in the beginning but I think with various flavors at dinner it became tart to me. For the apps we did the rockin rolls and orzo soup. Entrees we did the 5 oz filet and the airline chicken. Dessert was the crème brûlée and the pistachio crème. Both of the apps were delicious. I loved the cheesy rolls, they remind me of Brazilian cheese bread. Loved dipping it in tomato sauce, the orzo soup was comforting. The chicken and filet were both good. The pistachio crème tasted more like a keylime crème to me. I thought the crème brulee was a better dessert. Our waitress Lori was pretty awesome. Parking was validated with dinner.

Rib eye Pasta Brocolini and Pork Chops

I have never been to one of the Universal hotels and this was very nice! I want to come back already. The drink was made by the bartender and because they had a full bar it was easy to just say what I liked and have something from the menu put together. The rock n rolls were not something I would order again. They were super stretchy and greasy and I wasnt a fan. I got to try some of my friends Brocolini and it was well seasoned and cooked well. I would immediately go back for the braised short rib pasta. It was on the more affordable side and very filling. I was super pleased with how the entire dish was cooked. The beignets were a smidge doughy for my liking and the bourbon caramel wasn't good I liked just plain caramel sauce. Overall I would be back and try another appetizer/dessert, but I would definitely eat the pasta again and again.

The Kitchen was phenomenal! Service, food portion, quality and value were on point! Everyone went out of their way to ensure the dining experience was memorable! And, on Wednesdays and Fridays they have a magic sideshow! If you're lucky enough to get Craig then you're in good hands... so be ready for a nice magic show with a delicious dining experience! The portions were large; come with an appetite or be ready to share! The bar is set in a nice purple neon glow with giant copper kitchen lights overhead. There was a shirt wait for 25 minutes but we were called after only fifteen! The flatbread can be prepared GF, the skirt steak was a generous two portion cut of both sides set atop several duck fat fingerling potatoes and broccolini. While the lobster Mac N cheese can be prepared GF, they were unfortunately out of GF pasta this evening. However, that did prompt me adding a side of scallops to compliment my steak and these were cooked perfectly! The desserts were both large & divine!

Omelette, Bacon, Biscuit and Gravy. D+ grade

Wanted to love this spot. I love brunch spots. Have no problem paying $50+ for a good brunch, do it often. However this spot at $62 was really barely better than a Golden Corral. - Omelette Bat was only real "made to order" spot. Was decent, but limited toppings, only 3 cheese options, and just barely above average. From there it all went down hill. - Biscuits were terrible. Nothing special like you'd expect at this price point. Something southern flaky, with layers and butter or unique twist. These were run of the mill grocery pop in oven frozen tasting. - Gravy was blah. As uninteresting as the biscuits. Only one. Would've been nice to see options like other brunches buffets at this price point. Brown gravy, sausage white gravy, and a pepper white maybe. Just boring and difficult to get to (no place to put lid while scooping) - Bacon was the biggest disappointment. It was holiday inn continental breakfast quality. Thin, greasy as all heck. Absolutely the worst low quality bacon ever. - Sausage, catalog food quality. Maybe Sisco or Ben E Kieth. Trash links. Would've loved higher quality, maybe options kielbasa, Portuguese even. - Salad, 2 bowls of to side (not a salad bar) one with Spring greens, the other an antipasto salad . No croutons, no toppings (I stole some cucumbers from the charcuterie board). Had to go to Omelette bar for a smidge of shredded cheese and 3 dressing options. Sizzler had them beat. SIZZLER. No other toppings. - Charcuterie, some cheese, crackers in a basket (mid st best) - Carving station, if you could call it that was a joke. Nothing but a rind of a ham. Sad joke. - Breads, pancakes. They had pancakes. At this price point I'd expect a Belgian Waffle station, with way more toppings than some jelly donut filling and whip cream. They had an assortment of toast breads and bagels. - Cereal and Oatmeal, it was there. - Fruit station, it was worse than a McDonald's parfait (I've never actually had one. But imagine it's better) - desert table(no opinion didn't waste my time at this point). - Drinks, I tried the unlimited Bloody Mary (also Mimosa available) The bloody was terrible. No traditional pepper flavor or very little, watered down, and garnished with lemon and lime? No Spanish olive, no celery stock. Just garbage jar pre mixed Bloody. At $50+ I'd hope for at least effort. Service. Omelette chef kind and helpful. Server was more or less ok. But had horrible breath. Imagine how bad it was that I'd comment. Servers don't get that close, yes it was that bad. Overall, Wont return most likely unless was family in town who wanted it. Hard pass. Hell go to Cheese Cake factory for a far better brunch for this price point or slightly more to the Grand Floridian at Disney World.

Service was pretty good and the food was nice. Short rib pasta dish was good, although the pasta was overcooked, Al Dente preferable. The ambiance was nice for Orlando.

I came here for a reservation with the Universal Orlando Run Club and I was absolutely thrilled with the service and quality of food. We came for an early seating and the employees were welcoming, the area was very clean. I absolutely loved the touch of printing "Welcome Run Club", it made me feel even more special as a consumer. The buffet options were fresh and I loved the omelette station. I hope we book another reservation as a group because I would love to come back, I highly recommend this location!

Similar to the mountain stage classifications in the major cycling races like the Tour de France or Giro d'Italia, this place is "beyond category' meaning, it is in a class of its own. The Kitchen at The Hard Rock Hotel is not just an eating establishment, it is a landmark. Starting with impeccable service, you will find a warm and very helpful staff that will strive to ensure that your experience is unique. Recently renovated, the space is decorated with legitimate rock memorabilia that makes it a pseudo-rock museum. A complete menu that offers something for everyone, they will accommodate your food allergies and preferences to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable meal. Whether you are looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, The Kitchen is no doubt the place to see and be seen.

The atmosphere struck that perfect balance between elevated and fun, with thoughtful touches throughout the evening. They had a flower bar where you could create your own bouquet, a Photo Booth that kept everyone laughing, and a great lineup of local vendors that made the whole event feel unique and community-driven. As for the food and drinks--everything delivered. The Basque cheesecake was absolutely superb--rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top with that signature burnt finish that makes it so special. The citrus olives were bright and flavorful, the fried chicken with caviar was perfectly crispy and indulgent and truffle fries was such a luxe, unexpected highlight. Every bite felt intentional and well-executed. Overall, it was more than just a dinner, it felt like an experience. Perfect for a girls' night, celebration, or just a fun way to enjoy great food and wine in a lively, stylish setting. I'll definitely be back.

The entrance is open and bright, and the ambience is modern and chic. As we were to be seated, there was wall, art made out of corks which caught my eye. We ask to be seated by the window as it has a beautiful view of the lake. We agreed by a wonderfully awesome waiter, who explained to us the menu and the wine selection. At first glance, we thought the wall taps were for beer, but in fact - duh - they are wine taps. Hence the name 60 vines... We were very pleasantly surprised. I am a white wine lover, and they had ample selection. They have a great selection of reds as well. I will say my favorite was the Albariño, followed by the four white blend... we had the zucchini chips which were light flaky and had the right amount of spice and sweet. Couldn't stop eating them. I enjoyed the egg white frittata which was topped with mushrooms and goat cheese. They could've gone a little heavier on the goat cheese, but otherwise the dish was phenomenal. My boyfriend had the eggs Benedict. I can't remember what it was called, but the poached eggs were perfect on top of a crispy croissant with herb hashbrowns, that were outstanding. I think he may have licked the dish clean... I will say we could've stopped there and left very happy, but we decided to indulge a little in dessert and a dessert adult beverage. I must say these were slamdunks. The espresso martini was on point. The other chocolate drink which I can't recall its name either had like a dust of chocolate and ice on the rim. It had liquor 43 in it and was just stupid good. But the overall winning dish was the toffee pull apart bread that was listed as a brunch item and is undoubtedly the best dessert I think I have ever had. It's like a cinnamon roll and monkey bread had a baby - It's a crispy croissant with a gooey bottom and crispy top that was moderately sweet perfection.

Two Words . . VERY…read moreRICH I keep forgetting that this restaurant is essentially serving Southern style comfort food in an upscale setting. Southern comfort food as a general rule just doesn't sit well with me anymore and I'm going to be very transparent and bare my soul a little bit here but here goes . . . Ever since being on GLP1's, I've developed a really complicated relationship with comfort food. Foods that are rich, buttery, creamy or fatty now hit me completely differently than they used to. It's almost like my body immediately goes into shutdown mode afterwards. I feel heavy, exhausted and like I've instantly ballooned even if the portions themselves aren't massive. For the longest time I honestly thought it was simply the richness of the food itself but now I realize it's because my digestion just can't process heavier comfort foods the same way anymore. Suddenly... it all makes sense. The food itself here is VERY good. Properly seasoned, well prepared, beautifully presented... absolutely no complaints there whatsoever. I simply have to become more mindful and strategic now with my menu selections no matter WHERE I dine. I chose the Creekstone Farm's NY Strip with the fabulous bone marrow which I KNOW is supposed to be incredibly nutrient rich and good for you... but honestly... it just about put me under afterwards. This dinner happened thanks to Ronnald M. and his sister Teris and it was our pre-opera dinner outing before seeing the fabulous Merry Widow at the Dr. Phillips Center. The Monroe is honestly a very good pre-concert restaurant choice because of both the atmosphere and location... I'm just personally learning that this new GLP1 reality means I can't approach menus the way I used to anymore.

From the beginning, our waiter seemed visibly annoyed with us. Each drink we ordered felt like an inconvenience to him, and it was consistently difficult to get his attention. We actually would have ordered more drinks, but he rarely came back to check on us and never offered refills. His overall disinterest made it uncomfortable to even try to flag him down. It was awkward because we literally watched him sit and chat with fellow employees at the bar. Our food also took quite a while to arrive and, when it did, it was only room temperature. We were even missing an item from our order. When we mentioned it, there was no apology -- we were simply told it would be removed from the bill. Our waiter was literally mid "walk-away" while telling us this-- we were looking at his back trying to hear what he was saying. It was beyond rude. It's disappointing because the ambience had so much potential, but the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome and underwhelmed.
