Indulgent wide noodles to much on. The flavors are not what you're typically thinking as an American eating Chinese food. The spices were more-so warm spices--think like nutmeg coriander. It was so hot that it was very nice to eat in an air conditioned restaurant. We loved our food journey and our waitress was outstanding and the server who dropped off our orders was so funny! The food was definitely different which we loved because it gave us an opportunity to try new dishes. Honestly, this was the best restaurant I ate at in Universal during my whole trip. The inside decor is 10/10 really nailed the set design. Absolutely obsessed with this, my new favorite restaurant at Epic (haven't tried Atlantic) and one of only two full service restaurants. Food is served as it's ready so be prepared to be okay with the food coming out at different times within your party. Not a problem for us, I'd rather have the food fresh than have it sit under a heat lamp. We sat in the bar area, but the vibes in the main part of the restaurant are immaculate. Love some dim lighting. I got the Beef Xi'an Noodles. The waiter told me it was like a 7 on an American spice scale & they were comfortably spicy. I really LOVED this dish and devoured every bite. The noodles had a perfect chew to them, and there was a solid amount of protein. Maybe a little overpriced for what it is but, it's theme park food - We know what we're getting into when we walk through the gates. The orange chicken had no flavor and two of the three orders of fried rice were burnt. So this may be unfair, because I have had good Korean and Chinese food before (and, if you haven't, this place may be fine). If you have, then these are pretty close to the worst versions of all those. We had the chicken wings, which were really, really crispy (really, to thick and crispy compared to BonChon or any other Korean chicken place we've been to before), and the chicken meat itself was kind of slimy beneath. The orange chicken tasted only like bitter orange and oily fried chicken chunks; when the white rice touched the orange sauce that also became unappetizing. The Dan Dan noodles were probably the best main we tried, and they were much worse than other versions I've had, but at least passable. The potstickers were actually good, but nothing better than the kind you reheat from frozen from Costco except for the snowflake covering. The cucumbers were OK but really vineggary (that was a major flaw of all of the dishes). All in all, I would never order any of those again, especially at the price point. If you've been day drinking and looking for some greasy buffer American style Chinese food 101 to keep the day going, Blue Dragon is the right choice. It just so happens that we had a drink in us and we needed that grease, but the food left us heavy, tired, and sleepy the rest of the afternoon which put a bit of a damper on the festivities of exploring Epic. It may also have been what we ordered (spring rolls, sweet and sour calamari, Dragon fried rice, and cucumber salad). But most of the menu is carbs and/or fried. Everything was tasty enough to eat, but nothing really stood out as unique interpretations. What's not great? The drinks. They are beautifully presented and sound very interesting on paper, but holy sweet saccharine Batman...these drinks are diabetes in a cup! It is super light and refreshing and I easily could've had more than one. Goes down super easy. We also ended up ordering the wontons (they are not fried), the potstickers and the double fried Korean wings. The double fried Korean wings were a slight disappointment as the breading is so much that you really just get breading and not the chicken. When you do get to the chicken, it was very moist and very delicious. Potstickers were really good and we really enjoyed the wontons and that chili sauce that's in it. The dragon gate entrance and setup in front with beautiful pond and colorful umbrellas really sets up high expectations for an amazing dining experience. The interior of the restaurant was equally impressive, with incredible integration of Chinese culture and arts. Alongside dining space with tables and booths, they also had a huge bar. Despite making reservation, we actually had to wait about 10 minutes to get our table. We starter with the sweet and sour calamari, that was decent quality. I had the beef Xian noodles for entree. I was disappointed that it came with the big thin noodles. If I knew, I wouldn't have ordered. Thin noodles would have been much better with the beef. The beef, cabbage and the spice flavors were good. The Kyoto Sunrise was a good mocktail. The service was decent enough. Our server did her job of getting our order in, bringing them and getting our check. Very basic! We had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get our food. I was also annoyed since they had a whole dining room empty, the host put us and another group in a corner of floor for no good reason. I was really excited about trying this restaurant out going into our trip. The Vlogs we watched made it seem like the food was above and beyond and worth the extra price tag, but unfortunately this was not the case for us. It wasn't all a bad experience. The restaurant is beautiful! Truly impressive to look at. I loved the neon signs, the dream-like atmosphere this place provided was nice, not to mention it was a cool, dark retreat from the brutal Florida sun and heat. We were able to get in a little earlier than our reservation was set up for, which was nice of them to accommodate. They were not very busy, only a few tables were being served, and they set us right next to people at a standard table even though we expressed we were celebrating a special occasion. Our waiter gave us a run down on the experience to expect. They said food was served "explorer style", so the food might come out in different order, like your entree before your appetizer, etc...this didn't make sense to me. It more just seemed like a way to not worry about having stations in the kitchen maybe? The service was not great. Our water ran dry several times, and the server did less than the bar minimum. As for the food, it was just "okay". I had gotten the Chicken Khao Soi which is Thai coconut curry broth, grilled chicken, dan dan noodles, and Thai basil. It sounds good, but it was super bland. The chicken was tough, the noodles had no flavor and the broth barely tasted like anything. The smashed cucumber salad tasted okay and had a little spice, but the cut of the cucumbers didn't seem to work right. I think it was too much cucumber skin to inside ratio. For the price tag this place is asking, I expected fine dining quality, but this was anything but that. Overall this review makes me sad, because it is such a beautiful restaurant in such an amazing theme park, it deserves to have much better quality food OR take the price down and serve some middle of the road Asian fusion cuisine. Something needs to change for us to try this place again. I would recommend spending your time and money at Pizza Moon if you are at Epic. We visited for a break from the rain during a long day at Epic. The decor and atmosphere is nice and honestly calming after coming in from the park. A little bit kitschy theme park theming in my opinion, but just toned back enough. The staff was nice but our server did not seem very knowledgeable on the menu. He could not really answer any questions we had and gave us incorrect information twice. My friend had a gluten allergy and they pretty much had no options for him except one thing. Not very accommodating. With that being said, the food that we did order was really good. I tried the Korean wings and then the orange chicken. I really enjoyed both items. My friend did end up liking what he had to order, but where both of my items were huge portion sizes, his was tiny and ended up having to order more. I also had the tea service, and that was a great addition and delicious! The menu prices were definitely high for what you get and especially for the inconsistency, but I guess kind of what I expect of theme park prices. Kind of disappointing when you compare it to The Atlantic. I don't see why anyone would ever come here when the best Universal theme park restaurant is in the same park. It was alright, a little on the sugary side. I wouldn't order it again. Next drink, the Yuzu Drop. This was the best of the 3. Last drink I tried was the Szechuan Smash. It's cool that it is served smoked, but I really dislike sparkling water. It'd probably be ok without the sparking water. For food, I started with the double fried Korean wings. They are certainly fried, and thick. The skin to the wings falls of, but it's super hot as in oven hot. I liked the wings and would get them again. For the main course I had the Tonkotsu Ramen. We had a reservation for 5:30, but we're ready to sit down in the A/C around 5:10. We asked if we could possibly move our reservation up and they were able to change it without an issue. The dining room is beautiful with trees and a pagoda in the center, and neon signs in the entrance hallway. It's designed to look like an outdoor space at night. The chairs in the section we were sat were hard metal chairs that looked like patio furniture rather than fine dining seating (is this because we were sat in an outdoor setting inside?). There were booths and tables with cushy chairs nearby, so there is a variety of seating options here. We were sat by where the waiters all gathered to chat and joke around so our waiter was perched behind my husband for most of our meal, but didn't refill our visibly empty glasses. He briefly discussed the menu and answered our questions, explaining their service is "traveler style" and our appetizers might come out after our entrees. I ordered the Kai-Ming's Mapo Tofu: I recently listened to an interview with the head chef of this restaurant, stating this dish could be made spicier if you asked. I didn't want it spicier, I was actually worried it would be too spicy. I asked our waiter about the spice level and he said it was very spicy and couldn't be made hotter. Listen to me when I say it is not spicy - I can tolerate some spice and I felt like for a dish being labeled spicy it could have been spicier. I assume they had to make it less spicy to appeal to more people. Hubby ordered the Chicken Khao Soi: he said it was super bland even after squeezing the provided lime into it. He was not happy with it at all but finished it because of the price. It sounded so good on the menu but we will stick to this dish at our local Thai restaurants. We ordered the Smashed Cucumbers for an appetizer and it came out about 10 minutes after our entrees. Their prediction about our appetizer coming out later was correct lol. The flavor was really good in this dish. Overall beautiful restaurant, food is lacking in flavor (at least on what we ordered), service was meh. The inside is decorated very much on theme, we loved the fun signs in the front entryway. Staff were friendly and service was excellent - waters filled often, food came out quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions. We shared two small plates and one entree and we couldn't finish all the food between the two of us. The food itself was good, though nothing that really wowed us, but the service absolutely made up for it. Our waiter was incredibly kind and personable, which made the experience feel special. My dad and I started with the sweet and sour calamari. The flavor was nice, but the breading wasn't my favorite -- a bit soft and not as crispy as I'd hoped. We also shared the crispy fried snapper, which was the standout dish of the night. The fish was lightly fried, perfectly cooked, and tasty. Just be mindful of a few small bones. The papaya salad served on the side felt a little under-seasoned, but the fish itself is definitely something I'd recommend, and it's perfect for sharing between two people. We were quite surprised that the flavors of the dishes were pretty good especially at a theme park! The snowflake potstickers was delicious. Loved the dipping sauce. We booked Blue Dragon inside Epic Universe on a whim through the Universal app, not sure if we'd actually make it to dinner -- but I'm so glad we did! Check-in was quick and smooth, and our table was ready right on time. We were seated in a big booth that easily fit our group of six, which made it perfect for swapping stories about our day in the park and planning what we'd do next. Our server, Frank, was amazing -- super friendly, knowledgeable about the park, and great at walking us through the menu. We kicked things off with cocktails and shared appetizers like calamari and dumplings (both delicious and easy to share). For my entrée, I ordered the ramen -- and I was so hungry and excited that I completely forgot to take a photo, which says it all! It was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what I needed. What a lovely venue! One of the park employees said it was her favorite, and it did not disappoint. I made a reservation through the Park app and everything went smoothly. We were seated at the time of the reservation snd our server was a delight. We had a pot of Earl Grey Crème tea to warm up and soup dumplings for an appetizer. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, orange chicken and sticky shrimp noodles. The one odd thing is that they bring out each dish as it was prepared so two of the entrees were served before the dumplings. Jode Kathryn was our server, she was great! All the food was really good. We had the wontons, fried rice, soup dumplings, ramen, and the chicken wings. Had four of the specialty cocktails as well. Food comes out as it's ready so it's good for sharing meals. Very cute inside. read more

I can't tell you the amount of excitement we had, when we walked in, and there were seats available to dine at the bar. Spending more than one day at any of the parks, and if you're me, you're 100% over the fast casual dining that's in the parks. We grabbed seats at the bar, were greeted right away, and provided menus. The ability to sit down, in comfortable seats, and menus with actual cocktails - total win. We loved our bartender, he was attentive, fun, and made great recommendations. I had a Szechuan Smash - which is made with a Japanese whiskey, crushed Szechuan peppercorns, yuzu juice, honey syrup, sparkling water, and topped with ginger aromatic fog - see the video - this was just so much fun! The drink itself was delightful, playful, and enjoyable to sip on. We started with the pork soup dumplings - they were very tasty, as was the dragon sauce to dip them in. For main courses - my husband had the dragon fried rice, which was generously portioned with veal, shrimp, sausage, egg, snow peas and plenty of rice. I had the tonkotsu ramen - and while this, and the above may seem like odd choices, depending on when you are reading this, it was freezing outside (legit in the 30s when we arrived at the park), so it was perfect! I had fairly low expectations, and would note the pork broth was rich, flavorful, and had a lot of depth (and wasn't a sodium bomb like some are). It came with plenty of noodles, chases pork, tare egg and shiitake mushrooms - delightful! This was also very generously portioned, and I enjoyed every bite! Highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a nice place to sit down, relax, enjoy a tasty cocktail, and a nice, Asian inspired meal. read more

This is now one of my favorite restaurants. I am sad it's only accessible with a ticket purchase to Epic Universe. From the entrance, to the decor, it made me feel like I was in a different place. All the details are beautiful. The food...WOW! Yes, expect theme park higher prices. It is completely worth it in my opinion. We did not have a reservation but tried anyway. To our luck, there was availability, waited about 5 minutes before being seated. Our waiter was so nice and patient. He took the time to explain all the dishes and drinks. Also gave us recommendations. Everything was delicious from the drinks and appetizers, to the main entree. I definitely want to come back to try other dishes. read more
