Traditional amusement park food is not anywhere near this level. We truly enjoyed probably one of the top two or three dinners we've ever had in 40+ years of fine dining in all types of restaurants and cuisines. Our server, Toni was excellent and displayed , top notch knowledge of the menu and all of the items in each meal. Because we have food allergies, the sous chef named Robert came out and was extremely pleasant and thoroughly explained any potential food allergies conflicts. My wife and I both truly enjoyed the wontons with chili oil dish and believe it was possibly one of the best dumpling meals we've ever had. My wife's final comment was that she could drink the wonton sauce. It was so delicious. My wife truly enjoyed the shrimp with peanut sauce, shaved coconut, shiitake mushrooms, as well as scallions and noodles. It was both flavorful and full-bodied flavor. The Beef Xi'am Noodle dish while spicy was extremely delicious. Full flavors with small bite-size pieces of beef, Napa cabbage, homemade wide noodles., gai lan, hot chili oil. The banana Napoleon was absolutely to die for. With a nice dollop of creamy vanilla ice cream, and a caramel sauce made with miso that was absolutely spectacular. All the flavors married well together and was very pleasing to the pallet. The total ambience of the entire restaurant was very well thought out with great color pallets, and it was a very warm feeling even with people sitting directly next to us. Another amazing experience at the Blue Dragon! Pizza Moon and bread cones be damned (well, no, not really--both great eats). I am obsessed with the thai milk powder cocktail. I also love it as a non-alcohol option. They also have a great Aperol Spritz that has a punchy Yuzu citrus syrup in it. This go, I had the X'ian Noodles. Nice heat on it! Indulgent wide noodles to much on. The flavors are not what you're typically thinking as an American eating Chinese food. The spices were more-so warm spices--think like nutmeg coriander. It took me a second to adjust, but it was really yummy. Once again, it is the staff that truly stood out here. Honestly, this was the best restaurant I ate at in Universal during my whole trip. The inside decor is 10/10 really nailed the set design. The lanterns were moving up and down, the trees, vibes were there for sure. I got the peanut noodle shrimp and that was so good. I had mediocre food at the park for the last 2 days and this, this was a wonderful surprise. I felt like this was more costly compared to other places around the park. Absolutely obsessed with this, my new favorite restaurant at Epic (haven't tried Atlantic) and one of only two full service restaurants. Food is served as it's ready so be prepared to be okay with the food coming out at different times within your party. Not a problem for us, I'd rather have the food fresh than have it sit under a heat lamp. We sat in the bar area, but the vibes in the main part of the restaurant are immaculate. Love some dim lighting. I got the Beef Xi'an Noodles. The waiter told me it was like a 7 on an American spice scale & they were comfortably spicy. I really LOVED this dish and devoured every bite. The noodles had a perfect chew to them, and there was a solid amount of protein. Maybe a little overpriced for what it is but, it's theme park food - We know what we're getting into when we walk through the gates. From start to finish, our experience was great. The ambiance is a little eclectic upon entry, with neon signs hanging above a floor of polished stones laid in dark cement, but the dining room is both elegant and welcoming, which you can see in the many photos taken by guests past and present. Service was top notch, and our server was patient, friendly, attentive, and she did an absolutely fantastic job. Everything we ordered was delicious, from their lemon drop martini to the snowflake potstickers (the dragon sauce is very spicy) as an appetizer to three fantastic entrees. Their chicken khao soi (spicy with a delectable coconut curry broth) is excellent, while my unexpected favorite was crispy orange chicken, which I avoid at most restaurants, and beef and broccoli was the favorite dish of my husband and daughter. We were a little disappointed that the staff didn't wish us a happy anniversary (we had a very bad experience at dinner the night before at a different Universal restaurant, so we booked here to make up for it), but I don't want to take away a star for that oversight. First time at epic universe and visited this gem. As a New Yorker with lots of different Asian cuisines to choose from. I thought this was a decent Asian fusion. My son (6 1/2) even had the sea bass which was cooked perfectly. The soy sauce was a bit salty. The pot stickers and soup dumplings were wonderful. Since we were just having a snack, we decided to dine in the bar area. The hostess made me put down my name and wait for a table, but the bartender told us we could sit at the 4 top no problem. He gave us great recommendations! I ordered the Yuzu Drop, which was so delicious and refreshing! My daughter ordered a Kyoto Sunrise mocktail, which she enjoyed. We tried the soup dumplings, the snowflake potstickers, and the beef Xi'an noodles. Surprisingly, the food was way better than we anticipated! My daughter is a soup dumpling aficionado and rated it the 2nd best that she's ever had. The wrapper was nice and thin. They were savory and had plenty of soup inside. The potstickers were crispy with the snowflake topping. They were both served with a delicious chili sauce on the side. My favorite were the hand pulled noodles. They were a little thick, but perfectly cooked and the beef sauce that accompanied the noodles was so good! There was so much sauce leftover after consuming the noodles, we ended up ordering a side of white rice to soak up the rest of the sauce. Ok. So. Yelp still doesn't offer half stars, but this would be more like a 3.5. What's great? The ambiance. This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL. I really love what they've done with the decor and mood of the place and it's a gorgeous addition to Epic Universe. What's less than great? The food. It's not bad by any measure, but it's pretty basic A.F. and WAY overpriced. If you're looking for an exotic Chinese food experience, this isn't it. If you've been day drinking and looking for some greasy buffer American style Chinese food 101 to keep the day going, Blue Dragon is the right choice. It just so happens that we had a drink in us and we needed that grease, but the food left us heavy, tired, and sleepy the rest of the afternoon which put a bit of a damper on the festivities of exploring Epic. It may also have been what we ordered (spring rolls, sweet and sour calamari, Dragon fried rice, and cucumber salad). But most of the menu is carbs and/or fried. Everything was tasty enough to eat, but nothing really stood out as unique interpretations. What's not great? The drinks. They are beautifully presented and sound very interesting on paper, but holy sweet saccharine Batman...these drinks are diabetes in a cup! I had the Szechuan Smash and I tried to get thru it but I after 3 sips I just couldn't. It was so sweet that it overpowered every other note in the cocktail. The orange chicken had no flavor and two of the three orders of fried rice were burnt. The skin on double fried chicken wings was basically separate from the chicken win itself and felt more like biting into a hard candy. We stopped in and sat at the bar to grab a quick bite and some drinks. Bartenders were fantastic, very friendly and very attentive. My husband got the speechless astronomer by crooked can Brewing. Very light ale with kind of a grape fruit to finish. I got the szechuan smash. It's rice whiskey with peppercorns and Yuzu and honey. It is super light and refreshing and I easily could've had more than one. Goes down super easy. We also ended up ordering the wontons (they are not fried), the potstickers and the double fried Korean wings. The double fried Korean wings were a slight disappointment as the breading is so much that you really just get breading and not the chicken. When you do get to the chicken, it was very moist and very delicious. Potstickers were really good and we really enjoyed the wontons and that chili sauce that's in it. One of the nice things about sitting at the bar is you do not have to have reservations you can just walk in if there's availability. The dragon gate entrance and setup in front with beautiful pond and colorful umbrellas really sets up high expectations for an amazing dining experience. The interior of the restaurant was equally impressive, with incredible integration of Chinese culture and arts. Alongside dining space with tables and booths, they also had a huge bar. Despite making reservation, we actually had to wait about 10 minutes to get our table. We starter with the sweet and sour calamari, that was decent quality. I had the beef Xian noodles for entree. I was disappointed that it came with the big thin noodles. If I knew, I wouldn't have ordered. Thin noodles would have been much better with the beef. The beef, cabbage and the spice flavors were good. The Kyoto Sunrise was a good mocktail. The service was decent enough. Our server did her job of getting our order in, bringing them and getting our check. Very basic! We had to wait about 20-25 minutes to get our food. I was also annoyed since they had a whole dining room empty, the host put us and another group in a corner of floor for no good reason. So this may be unfair, because I have had good Korean and Chinese food before (and, if you haven't, this place may be fine). If you have, then these are pretty close to the worst versions of all those. We had the chicken wings, which were really, really crispy (really, to thick and crispy compared to BonChon or any other Korean chicken place we've been to before), and the chicken meat itself was kind of slimy beneath. The orange chicken tasted only like bitter orange and oily fried chicken chunks; when the white rice touched the orange sauce that also became unappetizing. The Dan Dan noodles were probably the best main we tried, and they were much worse than other versions I've had, but at least passable. The potstickers were actually good, but nothing better than the kind you reheat from frozen from Costco except for the snowflake covering. The cucumbers were OK but really vineggary (that was a major flaw of all of the dishes). All in all, I would never order any of those again, especially at the price point. I was really excited about trying this restaurant out going into our trip. The Vlogs we watched made it seem like the food was above and beyond and worth the extra price tag, but unfortunately this was not the case for us. It wasn't all a bad experience. The restaurant is beautiful! Truly impressive to look at. I loved the neon signs, the dream-like atmosphere this place provided was nice, not to mention it was a cool, dark retreat from the brutal Florida sun and heat. We were able to get in a little earlier than our reservation was set up for, which was nice of them to accommodate. They were not very busy, only a few tables were being served, and they set us right next to people at a standard table even though we expressed we were celebrating a special occasion. Our waiter gave us a run down on the experience to expect. They said food was served "explorer style", so the food might come out in different order, like your entree before your appetizer, etc...this didn't make sense to me. It more just seemed like a way to not worry about having stations in the kitchen maybe? The service was not great. Our water ran dry several times, and the server did less than the bar minimum. As for the food, it was just "okay". I had gotten the Chicken Khao Soi which is Thai coconut curry broth, grilled chicken, dan dan noodles, and Thai basil. It sounds good, but it was super bland. The chicken was tough, the noodles had no flavor and the broth barely tasted like anything. The smashed cucumber salad tasted okay and had a little spice, but the cut of the cucumbers didn't seem to work right. I think it was too much cucumber skin to inside ratio. For the price tag this place is asking, I expected fine dining quality, but this was anything but that. Overall this review makes me sad, because it is such a beautiful restaurant in such an amazing theme park, it deserves to have much better quality food OR take the price down and serve some middle of the road Asian fusion cuisine. We visited for a break from the rain during a long day at Epic. The decor and atmosphere is nice and honestly calming after coming in from the park. A little bit kitschy theme park theming in my opinion, but just toned back enough. The staff was nice but our server did not seem very knowledgeable on the menu. He could not really answer any questions we had and gave us incorrect information twice. My friend had a gluten allergy and they pretty much had no options for him except one thing. Not very accommodating. With that being said, the food that we did order was really good. I tried the Korean wings and then the orange chicken. I really enjoyed both items. My friend did end up liking what he had to order, but where both of my items were huge portion sizes, his was tiny and ended up having to order more. I also had the tea service, and that was a great addition and delicious! The menu prices were definitely high for what you get and especially for the inconsistency, but I guess kind of what I expect of theme park prices. Kind of disappointing when you compare it to The Atlantic. I don't see why anyone would ever come here when the best Universal theme park restaurant is in the same park. Also, the best quick service food is also at this park (Grog & Gruel). I wanted to come here to try a variety of foods, and that I did. First up, the Chengdu Dream. It was alright, a little on the sugary side. I wouldn't order it again. Next drink, the Yuzu Drop. This was the best of the 3. Last drink I tried was the Szechuan Smash. It's cool that it is served smoked, but I really dislike sparkling water. It'd probably be ok without the sparking water. For food, I started with the double fried Korean wings. They are certainly fried, and thick. The skin to the wings falls of, but it's super hot as in oven hot. I liked the wings and would get them again. For the main course I had the Tonkotsu Ramen. The kids meals are served in bento boxes and are large portions as well. Our favorite was the snowflake dumplings. After being disappointed at Pizza Moon we ended up here and it was the one place we went where we had a server and didn't have to order on an app. The food was so good - we got orange chicken and rice. I had a prosecco also. Service was great and inside was decorated so cute. We had a reservation for 5:30, but we're ready to sit down in the A/C around 5:10. We asked if we could possibly move our reservation up and they were able to change it without an issue. The dining room is beautiful with trees and a pagoda in the center, and neon signs in the entrance hallway. It's designed to look like an outdoor space at night. The chairs in the section we were sat were hard metal chairs that looked like patio furniture rather than fine dining seating (is this because we were sat in an outdoor setting inside?). There were booths and tables with cushy chairs nearby, so there is a variety of seating options here. We were sat by where the waiters all gathered to chat and joke around so our waiter was perched behind my husband for most of our meal, but didn't refill our visibly empty glasses. He briefly discussed the menu and answered our questions, explaining their service is "traveler style" and our appetizers might come out after our entrees. I ordered the Kai-Ming's Mapo Tofu: I recently listened to an interview with the head chef of this restaurant, stating this dish could be made spicier if you asked. I didn't want it spicier, I was actually worried it would be too spicy. I asked our waiter about the spice level and he said it was very spicy and couldn't be made hotter. Listen to me when I say it is not spicy - I can tolerate some spice and I felt like for a dish being labeled spicy it could have been spicier. I assume they had to make it less spicy to appeal to more people. Hubby ordered the Chicken Khao Soi: he said it was super bland even after squeezing the provided lime into it. He was not happy with it at all but finished it because of the price. It sounded so good on the menu but we will stick to this dish at our local Thai restaurants. We ordered the Smashed Cucumbers for an appetizer and it came out about 10 minutes after our entrees. Their prediction about our appetizer coming out later was correct lol. The flavor was really good in this dish. Overall beautiful restaurant, food is lacking in flavor (at least on what we ordered), service was meh. I wish they had at least one more vegetarian / vegan option in the entrees, like a full on tofu dish with vegetables (not Mapo Tofu). Not sure we will be back at least for a few years. read more

Visually stunning restaurant inside and out -- the décor and lighting are gorgeous and really set the vibe. My dad and I started with the sweet and sour calamari. The flavor was nice, but the breading wasn't my favorite -- a bit soft and not as crispy as I'd hoped. We also shared the crispy fried snapper, which was the standout dish of the night. The fish was lightly fried, perfectly cooked, and tasty. Just be mindful of a few small bones. The papaya salad served on the side felt a little under-seasoned, but the fish itself is definitely something I'd recommend, and it's perfect for sharing between two people. For drinks, we tried the Szechuan Smash and the Dotonbori Smash -- both were delicious. Decided to eat here while at Epic theme park. Our party of 5 had a few eating preferences so Chinese food seemed to work for all of us. Made the reservation through the Universal app. Was easy to do. We arrived right on time. There was no line and the restaurant did not seem busy. We thought the decor in the restaurant was interesting and was quite nice. The restaurant was very spacious. Our server was friendly. She explained how the food would be prepared and brought out. They bring the food out as soon as it is cooked and not all at once- which worked fine for our group. We ordered snowflake potstickers, wontons in chili oil, Dan Dan noodles, Tonkatsu Ramen, Beef and Broccoli and Crispy Orange Chicken. We were quite surprised that the flavors of the dishes were pretty good especially at a theme park! The snowflake potstickers was delicious. Loved the dipping sauce. The wontons were good but was not spicy at all. Beef and Broccoli had a nice flavor and came with steamed rice in the middle. Orange chicken was great and we liked the snow peas that came with it. Also had steamed rice in the middle of the dish. Our least favourite was the Ramen. Compared to the other dishes, it was just OK in the flavor department. Will definitely dine here again if we come back to Epic! read more

We came in for an early lunch just as they opened at 11am on a Monday. We were some of the first people there. The inside is decorated very much on theme, we loved the fun signs in the front entryway. Staff were friendly and service was excellent - waters filled often, food came out quickly. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the portions. We shared two small plates and one entree and we couldn't finish all the food between the two of us. The orange chicken was good with an interesting blood orange flavor, not spicy, but rice was a bit undercooked. Calamari was also good and I loved the breading. The double fried Korean chicken was very crispy but the outside almost too hard to chew - but chicken itself was delicious. My husband also liked the Thai Boba drink. We booked Blue Dragon inside Epic Universe on a whim through the Universal app, not sure if we'd actually make it to dinner -- but I'm so glad we did! Check-in was quick and smooth, and our table was ready right on time. We were seated in a big booth that easily fit our group of six, which made it perfect for swapping stories about our day in the park and planning what we'd do next. Our server, Frank, was amazing -- super friendly, knowledgeable about the park, and great at walking us through the menu. We kicked things off with cocktails and shared appetizers like calamari and dumplings (both delicious and easy to share). For my entrée, I ordered the ramen -- and I was so hungry and excited that I completely forgot to take a photo, which says it all! It was flavorful, comforting, and exactly what I needed. The space itself has an awesome neon-lit vibe -- fun yet surprisingly relaxing for a park restaurant. Pricing is about what you'd expect for a theme park, but the experience and quality made it totally worth it. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back on our next visit. read more
