I've always wondered what happened to the previous occupants that were here as it seemed like they were only here for a little bit before shutting down. But really glad this place opened up. Parking is no issue as it's pretty huge and shares it with starbucks, but who goes to get coffee after 6pm so there's plenty to spare. Came in around 7:30pm and was seated right away. Their menu features a front and back side so not too much to pick from and easy to decide what everyone wants. We had asked what was good for appetizers and the server recommended the Chicken Wings so we got a 12 piece Cajun Garlic as we normally don't see that. Along with wings we got Garlic Bread and Popcorn Shrimp. Lastly we also got 2 Lobster Tails mixed in their Ocean Mix Sauce which is a combination of all their sauces. As of late i've been into dry rubs and this Cajun Garlic has become my new favorite. Thinking about it too, I don't think any other place has a flavor like this. The Popcorn Shrimp was lightly breaded with a light cocktail sauce that I usually don't care for, but this one was paired perfectly. The Garlic Bread was what you expect from a seafood place, nothing out special just good to eat with seafood boil. As for the Lobster Tail it was really good for it being my first time trying to peel it myself and the sauce had a little kick but also lemony taste to it. I haven't tried the other sauces, but will probably stick to this one. Another thing I wasn't expecting was a full on fruit and dessert bar, they had cantaloupe, honey dew, strawberries and pineapples. As for the dessert, they had a variety of cakes and jellos. My personal favorite was the Chocolate one (I grabbed 5) Overall, will be back and hopefully grab a Po'Boy next as I've also been into those.

I really wanted to like this place but it just fell short. I saw a couple of reviews about the service being slow but it was okay on the day we went. We went on a Saturday at around 6:30 pm. They had about 3 servers going around and checking on everyone. The inside of the restaurant was spacious and clean. What stood out to me was the smell of the bathroom. It smelled so so bad...idk if it was just that day but my friends said that men's bathroom also smelled bad. If I didn't eat already, I would've probably lost my appetite... We got the oysters since they were running a special. They were just okay. I wish it was colder. The oysters were also big so they didn't have much flavor. The lobster roll had mayo, celery, and other things in it that you couldn't really taste the lobster. Def not worth. Into the seafood boils, the mild was spicier than I thought. The flavor of the sauce was good but a lot of the meat from the shrimp, king crab legs, and lobster tails were stuck to the shell. It made it really difficult to peel and eat. I feel like this place has potential but they just need to tweak some things.

This location has had it fair share different restaurants so we were quite surprised to find out it was now a seafood boil restaurants. It's not hot pot anymore but you can still see remnants of the previous restaurants. We went on a Sunday evening and it was pretty empty. We were seated right away, and after ordering we looked at the fruit/dessert bar. The fruit selection was alright but the oranges were really sweet. The desserts were your basic buffet-style cakes. It used to be a hot pot place before so they had hot pot sauce bar as well. Interestingly, they do serve hot pot here, either as a platter or a combo. They had a deal going on where you can get 2 free lobster tails after spending over a certain amount of money. We got the combo #1 with 2 lb shrimp and 1 lb mussel, Cajun garlic sauce. The shrimp was a little too overcooked because the shrimp wasn't peeling nicely, and I thought the sauce was okay. I wonder if we could choose more than one sauce per bag, I would like that better. Additionally when I had asked for salt and pepper, they provided them in shakers. It would have been nicer and cleaner if they provided them in little cups (as they do in other Cajun restaurants) For appetizers we got French fries, onion rings, and garlic noodles. We also ordered rice to eat with our seafood which arrived very late. The garlic noodles were one of the best I've ever tasted! My favorite in the menu. The fries and onion rings were very mediocre, not bothering with those again next time. The Cajun fries were just French fries tossed in some Cajun seasoning.. I think what makes this restaurant stand out is their variety in their menu. On top of the usual seafood boil, garlic noodles, fries, etc, they also offer lobster rolls and other unique appetizers that I don't often see in other places, like poboys and a variety of different salads. There's something for everyone to eat here if your whole group isn't into seafood boil. I didn't really get a good first impression but I would definitely like to come back to see if they've improved.

Lemon Pepper Fries, looks plain, but very good

Came in for dinner on a Sunday evening about 7pm, restaurant wasn't busy. The service was a little slow. Garlic Noodles was a hit, just the right amount of seasoning. Lemon Pepper Fries was great, perfectly seasoned. Hot Pot with Pork Belly, Lamb, Rib Eyes with Miso Soup and veggies was pretty good. They give you a lot of meat. There is a sauce bar, where you can pick your sauces. Also at the sauce bar there are fruits you can get as well. Combo # 2 with King Crab Legs, 1lb of shrimp with heads and 1lbs without. I wanted them to combo the garlic butter with lemon pepper sauce together, server told to get the cajun garlic with is the same as what I wanted. Against my better judgement I went with her recommendation, I didn't taste ANY lemon pepper and very mild garlic butter, the cajun took over the flavors. The shrimps with heads were a average size, but the ones without were small. They have a grand opening promotion, when you spend $125 or more you get 2 lobster tails which is very easy to do when have seafood. Here is the BIGGEST complaint, the king crab legs, the lobsters and the shrimps with head were very hard to peel, the meat sticks to the shells. 2 stars because of the seafood meat sticking to the shells. That is the main course. Can't mess that up even tho you got your size dishes perfected. It will be a long time before giving them another chance, they are way too good cajun seafood boils restaurant around.

I happened to find this restaurant on Yelp by chance. Since we got out of the gym around 9, we saw this spot was nearby, open until 11:30PM, new, and has both seafood boil + hotpot. We arrived at around 9:30PM and the place was empty so we were seated immediately. This place is huge, it can accommodate large parties, and has an interesting playlist for the music/ambiance. The ceiling literally says Ox Hot Pot on it so we were excited for the hot pot. When we ordered the seafood combo #1 with hot cajun garlic sauce and the hotpot, our server didn't tell us they didn't have broth for their hotpot that late at night, so we had already went and made a concoction of hotpot sauce at their sauce bar when they informed us they couldn't serve us the hotpot. We ordered 2 lb of headless shrimp (extra $2 charge per lb) and didn't get to make a selection on the last 1 lb (no big deal since we're not too picky.) We also specifically asked for no corn or potatoes, which the server said that's fine. Unfortunately, we ended up receiving 1 lb of headless shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, 1 lb of clams, and we got these big a** corn in the bag. The sausages were large as well (compared to other seafood boil spots.) Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise because the headless shrimp (which probably shrunk a lot during the cooking process) were so tiny when served. The sauce was pretty spicy for hot, but it was good. It was more like a paste than sauce, but pairs very well with lime/lemon juice. They closed early as well, which is also no big deal, as there weren't other customers around 10 PM. After tip and tax, the bill was ~$70 and we went to Mcdonald's afterwards lol. We were aware of the free lobster with purchases $100+ on birthdays via Yelp, but weren't made aware of any other deals during their grand opening. Overall 2.5/5 stars which I'll round up to 3 for Yelp. Hoping to revisit to try the hotpot + seafood combo next time after they improve!

This spot got another restaurant. First, good luck to ya. I hope you survive and prosper. Now, onto the place. It's new and clean. I was there all by myself tonight. I think it might be a good idea to add some big screen TVs. Would be cool to watching some kpop as I think kpop was playing ... I could have sworn it was GD I heard. Home sweet home.... bang bang bang.. nah. It wasn't playing kpop. But it would be nice though.... Anyways. On to the food. I think it was ok. I got combo #1. Shrimp mussels clam.... Shrimp was good mussels was good. Clams were ok. Could be better if bigger. Potatoes sausage and corn were mediocre. Need to balance the thermal mass. The service was very good. Pretty cute girls. Perhaps cuz i was the only customer, she came by several times to check. Very attentive. A plus . The extra was the fruit and dessert area. That's a plus as well I say add it all up and it's about a 4 star. I would definitely stop by again to try the rest of the menu...

Combo #2 (crawfish, mussels & Dungeness crab)

My friends and I came in on a Saturday night around 9 PM after a massage appointment. We were hoping to find a good spot open at that time since it's usually hard to find quality late-night food. Thankfully, this place popped up on Yelp, and they're open until 11:30 PM! We were seated immediately, and our server was incredibly friendly throughout the night. She informed us about all the ongoing promos and even mentioned that they had a fruit bar we could enjoy while waiting for our orders--desserts included! This restaurant had just opened the week before, so we were excited to try it out, especially with their grand opening deals. The $1 oysters? Give us a dozennnn!!! We ordered Combo #2, which included crawfish, mussels, and Dungeness crab. Along with that, we got garlic noodles, rice, and an extra pound of head-on shrimp. Our server let us know that if we reached $125, we'd get a free lobster tail--turns out, we got two lobster tails LOL Everything was delicious. The sauce had the perfect consistency and spice level--I'm usually pretty picky about that, but they nailed it. I highly recommend this place. The quality is great, the prices are reasonable, and the restaurant itself is clean and well-organized. I'm not sure if this was a newly renovated spot or if another place had closed down, but either way, it's a great addition. Overall, I definitely recommend checking them out. Give it a try :)

We were so excited to try this new place out since we love Cajun style shrimp. We were disappointed. The shrimp wasn't as flavorful as Ray's Crab Shack. The calamari that we ordered was so rubbery. It was difficult to chew and swallow. The only good dishes we liked was the popcorn chicken, garlic noodles, and the catfish with fries. The service was very good though. Our server was always happy to serve us. Place is newly opened so everything has the brand new look.

    3lb combo #1

Let me just start off by saying maybe I went on the wrong day. Decided to do a date night here. It's spacious inside and it could hold a couple group parties at once (if the party size was like 10-15ppl). This building has been constantly rotating new restaurants so let's hope for the best. Overall the food was ok. We ordered the combo #1 which included 3lbs of our choice of seafood (shrimp, crawfish, clams, mussels) and comes with 2 corn, 4 pcs sausage and 2 potatoes. For sides we ordered garlic noodles and fried oysters which came with fries. Combo #1: we chose 2lb of shrimp head on (head off costs $2 more btw) and 1lb of crawfish. Our sauce of choice was Cajun garlic with medium spice level. Was it spicy? Not at all. I usually order mild at kicking crab and boiling crab but medium at ocean 9 crab was mild to me. The potatoes were mushy. I will say the corn was massive. Flavor wise, it was ok. I felt like it was missing something. Maybe they're known for their Szechuan pepper sauce but I personally don't like the tingling feeling of Szechuan peppers. Fried Oysters with fries: eat them right away or else the batter on the oysters gets a little soggy. The fries were plain but I don't think other seafood boil offers fries with their fries oysters so I'll give it to them. Garlic noodles: this was fire! Nice flavorful. I would probably only come back for these. It was a good amount for two people. Part of the reason why I'm rating so low is because the service was off for me. I'm used to being greeted with "is this your first time" or "any questions about our menu". Mind you, this place has been open for 8 days so I would assume that's a standard question to ask their new customers. But not only this, we got check on once, which was 5 mins after we got our food. Then we had to make it look obvious we were done for someone to ask if we needed to go containers. There was also a party of two that came 2 mins after we got seated and they sat us RIGHT NEXT to us. I feel like they could've spaced us out so we didn't have to hear each other's conversations since the space is large and we were the only two parties inside. At the end of my meal, I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I walked by a sauce bar and (what looks like) a fruit bar. I was curious on who/what it was for so when I paid, I asked the cashier and she said it was for anyone. Like, wow. Would've been nice to know at the beginning of my meal while I waited 15 mins for my food to come out. Again, maybe it was an off day or they're just new. But I find these things very important.

I love this ,Recoment this restaurant。 I order shrimp head-on , Cajun style bag of seafood. also seafood roasted garlic roasted lobster tail. I like spicy

Service was good, guy was very sweet and nice to talk too. Muscles crawfish shrimp corn potatoes delicious I got the ocean mix sauce on the 54.99 basket combo. Sausage has been terrible everytime I come so I don't get it anymore I substitute it for two eggs. My other thing is getting sauce in the side costs like 7-8 dollars to just have sauce to dip but I like it so I get it everytime. Overall all I will continue to come here.

    Garlic noodles without salt
    Annabelle R.

We stopped by on a Wednesday night and were welcomed with friendly and attentive service, even though we were just ordering for takeout. We had no problems with customizations, ie. no salt in the garlic noodles, and sauce on the side for the boiled crawfish. Altogether we got lemon pepper chicken wings, garlic noodles without salt, organic salad, and one pound of crawfish with extra corn and lemon pepper sauce on the side. Everything was delish, made with fresh and quality ingredients. The lemon pepper wings were breaded, which I didn't expect, but they were juicy and cooked perfectly, and even better when I tried them with the lemon pepper sauce (which was actually supposed to be for the crawfish). It was straight up butter (with lemon and pepper, of course), and I was loving it! This restaurant is fairly new and seems to be doing things right, a great option in the Milpitas area for cajun seafood boil and more.

The atmosphere is great, food is so so. The shezhuang flavor is very unique and good. Oysters in promotion is delicious too.

One reason is that I don't live in the San Jose area anymore, and another is that there are now so many seafood boil spots around since Boiling Crab really started the trend. One positive right away: there was no long wait. We arrived around 8pm and were seated immediately, which was great. I remember the days when we'd have to put our name down and walk around Target while waiting for our table. I do wish they offered combo bags like a lot of other seafood boil places do now, since that's always a hit. Instead, we ordered 3 pounds of shrimp with whole-sha-bang sauce in mild. The shrimp themselves were great--nice and big, not the tiny peanut-sized ones you sometimes get. The flavor was also really good. However, the "mild" tasted much spicier than I remembered. From past visits, mild always had a small kick but was still pretty manageable. This honestly tasted closer to medium. My boyfriend politely asked one of the servers if he could get a small side of garlic butter because the sauce was spicier than expected. She immediately responded that it would be $5 for extra sauce, and the way it was said came off pretty rude. We understand that there's an option to make the bag "extra saucy" for an additional charge, but he wasn't asking for extra sauce for the whole bag--just a small side to balance out the spice. Even a simple response like "I'm sorry it came out spicier than expected" would have gone a long way. I've worked in customer service for over 15 years, and I've always believed in "kill them with kindness." We weren't rude at all--we just mentioned that it seemed spicier than mild. In the end, we decided to just skip the extra sauce. Again, the flavor was still good, but to me this definitely tasted more like medium. When we got our check, a different server asked how everything was. My boyfriend mentioned that the sauce was spicier than mild, and she responded with, "Oh no, I'm sorry it wasn't exactly what you wanted." We told her it wasn't her fault since we had already mentioned it earlier, and she just gave us a sympathetic look. Overall, the food itself was good, and I'd probably give it a 4 for taste, but the lack of customer service knocked the experience down for me. I understand it was later in the evening and they still had a full lobby, but a little kindness and attentiveness would have made a big difference.
