This is my must-go place when I'm craving for seafood boils. It's near my house, so I always prefer togo for comfortable eating by hands :) so it's always still super hot when I got home. That's a really good point here because they pack food really well. The seafood boils are good amount to share, I prefer Combo, and add up more sides like corns. The Garlic Butter sauce - Viet Love (I dont remember exactly name) but that's my favorite one The service is friendly and helpful. One more thing, if you togo, ask for the paper for the table, it's actually helpful when cleanup! And one more thing, if you love this place, remember to download an app to add points, just like tasty rewards :) Happy Eating :)

I had such a great experience at The Roasted Crab in Santa Clara! I ordered the Seafood Boil Combo #3, and it was packed with crab, shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, corn, and so much flavor--it really felt like a seafood feast in a bag. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. I also tried the Shark Tank Cocktail (refreshing and fun), the Cajun Fries (crispy and my favorite snack), Shrimp Garlic Noodles (so flavorful and garlicky), and a fresh salad with a generous portion. Everything paired so well together, and the portion sizes were really satisfying. Great ambiance and nice service

I wasn't expecting much when I came here, WOW was I surprised! Our waiter was very friendly and quick to get us our orders. Food was delicious! I tried their Ramen extra-hot and it was indeed HOT had to drink the spicyness away with a Michelada. The only downside of the michelada is that they didn't have Pacifico beer Overall, great place for a date or just lunch with the girls

This place is very convenient - near the AMC 20 theater. The shrimps were huge! The yummy yummy sauce at the hot level hit the spot! The waiters were super friendly and happy - music was cool - when we came, there was nobody in the restaurant. The sauces at the other crab places is tastier - hence the 3 star.

Seated right away on a Monday evening (Memorial Day). We shared 2 pounds of shrimp head-on and added garlic noodles, boiled eggs, corn, and potatoes. We did 1 pound of shrimp in the garlic butter fuego sauce, and 1 pound of shrimp in the yummy yummy sauce. We also ordered Cajun fries that didn't end up coming but luckily didn't show on check either. The shrimp was not great. It had a very strong fishy flavor that felt not fresh and very unlike other seafood boil spots. The sauces were not good either. They were watery and didn't cling on well to the shrimp and other toppings. Potatoes chunks were humongous and didn't soak up the watery sauces either. Garlic noodles were also just ok. It was also very difficult to flag down a waiter. Overall the flavors were not there and the shrimp didn't feel super fresh. Would not return.

There's a pretty large lot at Mercado, YMMV depending on what time of day you're here. If it's a major meal time, you may have trouble finding parking. We came here on Christmas eve, and honestly were surprised that they were open. It was pretty empty so we didn't face any of the issues with service that the other reviews had concerns with. They were attentive, gave us menus and water, and checked in on us. Having never heard of the yaka mein and craving noodle soup, we decided to order that. Really good, nice and savory. The seafood was fresh, flavors were good. We would definitely come back!

I liked visiting the Roasted Crab at Mercado. Unlike some boil-in-the-bag seafood places, they also have a large menu of other seafood items. We ordered the crab cakes to start, and they tasted kind of like potato croquettes with some crab in them. The cucumber salad was really delicious. We ended up getting the Queen combo, which was definitely enough for three people, with one pound of clams and two of headless shrimp. The shrimp was really good, and the lobster tail wasn't bad. I did find it funny that the potato in the mix was a large-sized potato cut in half, not those small red potatoes, and it didn't taste like much. The group I went with didn't get one of the spicy options, we just got the garlic butter. I'd probably come back and try something spicier. Service was fine. It's not a fancy place, but they had good seating.

We got the oysters with garlic and butter. It came out very fresh on a hot plate. We got $50 for two that we could pick out 2 seafood and 2 sides. The shrimps and clams are very fresh, corn and also sweet potato fries. I ordered crab fried rice to go for my son and mom at home. This is definitely a good place to get your seafood fixing. The service is great and the ambiance is good too.

I came here on Mother's Day around 12:30pm. We wanted seafood boil, but figured all the other popular places with great Yelp reviews would be busy. So we decided to give this place a try since the reviews are okay and the wait wouldn't be so long. Even though there were only three parties eating, it took a while to get seated. They had only one server, and it seemed like he was training the other server. Once we were finally seated, it took 30 minutes until they took our order. Keep in mind, we had to flag them multiple times, telling them we were ready. They were too busy taking to-go orders at the register. You can see the frustration of people in line waiting to be seated or to order. If you know it's a holiday, you should make sure you're fully staffed. Now let's get to the food. Their signature Vietnamese Garlic Fuego sauce, they hype up, ain't it. It has a weird tomato flavor that doesn't belong in a seafood boil. They should definitely mention the tomato flavor in the description of the sauce. We decided to try Singaporean Chili Crab, and that flavor was so lackluster. It tasted like the tomatoey Garlic Fuego sauce, but thicker, like they just added cornstarch. There was no umami flavor to it like how Singaporean Chili Crab is supposed to taste. The only thing decent was the snow crab in Yummy Yummy sauce. The Yummy Yummy sauce is more in line with other seafood boil places. Pass on the garlic noodles. They are not the right noodle type and not much garlic flavor. Due to the terrible, terrible service and lack of flavor. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I can see why this place isn't rated as high as other seafood boil places. I'll stick with Claw Shack.

We visited on a Friday night and found parking easily in the large plaza parking. There was no wait and we were seated right away. We ordered the Prince Boil with 1 lb shrimp, 1 lb clams, and 1 lb of crawfish and we chose the Yummy Yummy sauce. I loved the sweetness and Asian flavors of the sauce; it was flavorful! I liked the shrimp, crawfish, potatoes, and corn. But the clams were not my favorite. The ambiance was chill and an underrated seafood boil restaurant! More people should visit I definitely recommend!

This place has been open for some time and I finally got to visit with some work friends. I've been craving crawfish and I'm still on the look out for a spot that tastes like Crawdaddy's Cajun garlic butter sauce! My fave Milpitas location closed down =( First off, customer service is on point! They had at least two trainees serving us and they were very attentive plus friendly. Plenty of seating with a high ceiling, won't ever feel stuffy. Lots of tv screens for game watching as well. Food was served pretty fast on a Friday night. They don't serve the seafood boil in plastic bags but rather metal dishes. Eats: *1lb crawfish + 2 corns x2 with Oh Cajun sauce (original Cajun garlic butter), mild & medium *Lemon Pepper Fried Tofu *Garlic Noodles *Spaghetti + Crispy Chicken, comes with bread Crawfish was cooked well-- so easy to remove the shell from the little tails and they were nice n chewy without being rubbery. Sauce thickness is comparable to Boiling Crab. I like the mild spice and garlicky Cajun sauce. Corn was so good dunked into the sauce. Only complaint was without a bag trapping the heat, the food got cold quickly. Lemon pepper tofu was delicious! Would totally get this again. Garlic noodles were too sweet. Maybe no sugar next time? Spaghetti was interesting, more of an Asian twist. Not a seafood lover? They've got you! Plenty of options like Vietnamese shaking beef rice plates, steak, fried rice, chicken wings, creamy pasta, soups, salads, even escargot with different sauces like lemongrass garlic. Want even more seafood? Check out their classic fried baskets with fries, oysters on the half shell, shaking salmon over rice, scallops, mussels, Manila clams, razor clams, shrimp, lobster, and of course crab. Lots of seafood boil combos available too at market price. Full bar so choose your libations wisely. They serve complimentary sweet orange slices after the meal!

Roasted Crab (shelled), comes with Garlic Noodles

Good if somewhat pricey food. Excellent service. I got a salad and what I call the "lazy person's" crab--crabmeat in the shell on a bed of garlic noodles. They were out of watermelon juice, which is seasonal, so I opted for ice water, which I know restaurants frown upon, but it really is my favorite thing to drink. I arrived at 3:00 pm and was seated immediately in the mostly-empty dining room. Everything was served lightning-fast. The salad was fresh and huge--lots of arugula with a handful of cherry tomatoes and a bit of cucumber. The sesame dressing was sweet and tasty. The crab was nicely seasoned and the portion of garlic noodles very generous. Definitely on par with Crustacean and Thanh Long without the crowds, noise, and rushed service. They were very patient while I sat on hold with my insurance carrier, scowling, (for almost 90 minutes(!) Clean and unfussy decor. Napkins on the table definitely appreciated. I'd have needed a lot of them if I'd ordered a boil where I'd I get my hands dirty and have a telltale buttery mouth! My server was terrific. Very attentive. Quietly boxed my leftovers and left the check. When I apologized for staying so long, he reassured me that I need not worry. Had anyone been waiting for a table, I would have retreated to my car but it was nice to be able to munch on salad greens and drink cold water to pass the time. The price--not for the faint of heart, but certainly competitive with like restaurants in the City. $96 + $20 tip--a splurge for a late lunch but worth every penny. Thank you, Roasted Crab!

    Snails in Coconut Sauce

This review is solely regarding the oc len Xao dua [Vietnamese coconut sea snails]. Being that this is one of my all time favorite dishes, my guy made sure to grab me an order of the sea snails togo. @ about 15 bucks an order, this dish won't break the bank but it won't fill you up either. FYI: Portions provided per order and what you get from eating each snail would only be considered a tease and 100% not a meal. This dish overall was easy to eat. The little snails came out a lot easier than other restaurants serving this exact dish. The only complaint I had was the sauce flavoring that was missing some UMPH! The flavors seemed very muted, kind of watered down. A sprinkling of salt or fish sauce would have been good. 3 stars overall. Not the worst I've had but it wasn't memorable either.

I'd been hearing Korean friends recommend Master Oh's for a while, so after they recently reopened…read morewith an updated menu, I finally decided to check it out. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise. What makes this place stand out from most Korean restaurants is that you can enjoy so many classic Korean dishes in one meal--soy sauce marinated crab, fresh handmade cold noodles, stews, seafood hot pot, grilled intestines, stone pot bibimbap, and more--without having to visit multiple restaurants. Here are a few signature dishes we tried based on our server's recommendations: Bibim Naengmyeon (Handmade Spicy Cold Noodles) These noodles took a little longer to come out, and our server explained why--they don't start making the noodles until you place your order. The dough is pressed fresh in the kitchen before being served, giving the noodles a wonderfully chewy texture. Served with crushed ice, beef, cucumber, egg, and Korean pear, it was incredibly refreshing on a hot day. It's actually pretty rare to find restaurants in the Bay Area still making cold noodles fresh to order. Soy Sauce Marinated Crab I'd always heard that Korean soy sauce marinated crab is one of the country's most beloved seafood dishes and had seen it countless times in K-dramas, so I was excited to finally try it. The crab was well-marinated, with sweet, tender meat that was full of flavor, and even included quail eggs. If you love seafood, this is definitely worth ordering. Stone Bowl Bibimbap The stone bowl arrived still sizzling at the table. Mixed with beef, spinach, carrots, bean sprouts, fernbrake, and a sunny-side-up egg, every bite was delicious. My favorite part was the crispy golden rice that slowly formed at the bottom of the bowl. Gal Nak (Spicy Braised Beef Short Ribs with Octopus) (Mild Spice) This was perfect for sharing. The pot was filled with tender braised beef short ribs, octopus, tofu, rice cakes, enoki mushrooms, and vegetables. As everything simmered together, the rich broth soaked into every ingredient, making each bite even more flavorful. Every table receives a generous selection of Korean side dishes, including kimchi, japchae, fish cake, cucumber, pickled radish, seaweed, and more. Our server even came by to ask if we wanted free refills before we had to ask, which made the whole dining experience feel very welcoming. Besides the food, I also loved the atmosphere. Right at the entrance is a row of traditional Korean fermentation jars, and the restaurant is decorated with Korean-style ornaments throughout the space. The owner also stopped by to chat with guests and mentioned that he personally shops for fresh ingredients every morning to keep the food consistent in quality. The restaurant is conveniently located next to a Korean supermarket and has its own parking lot with plenty of parking spaces.

The modern decor is nice and sleek. Whereas the vibe is bustling and welcoming. We ordered the combo of 2 pounds of shrimp with heads on, garlic noodles, and 2 steamed rice. The seafood boil came out in a large silver bowl instead of the usual large clear bag. I found this to be much better in presentation. Everything was so delicious. The captain Loui sauce was so flavorful and sweet. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Garlic noodles were tasty. A couple of saucy yummy corn and potato were found in the bowl which was a good surprise. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Cap't Loui. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Moments later, she added that she could possibly fit us in at 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of our party. I told her that I found her initial response unprofessional because she didn't take the time to explain the situation from the start. A more courteous response would have been to let me know that reservations were full but that there might be a possibility of accommodating us later in the evening. She apologized and said she would respond differently next time, which I appreciated. However, as a manager, first impressions and customer service matter.
