I had a doctors appointment at El Camino Health and I had an to spare during lunch time. I decided to give Fish's wild a shot because the name was kind of fascinating. I tried Thai chicken curry and it was an average dish. Though there size was good but somehow less rice with a lot of curry. My daughter had chicken taco and she said it is ok.

Probably my number one katsu ever. Comparing to other Hawaiian places, the chicken was juicy but not in an oily way. It had a nice crisp to it. The Mac salad was creamy but didn't feel fatty. It had crunches from onions and carrots that tied in with the creamy texture. The best part was the sauce. The BEST katsu sauce I ever had. The sauce was tangy but wasn't overpowering with vinegar. It has sweetness to it to balance out the tang. That whole plate was about $15 too! The spam musubi had a crisp to it and it wasn't overpowered by rice like some places. Still pretty tasty. The tilapia wrap was soft and wasn't salty at all. Their overall wraps seems healthy with greens. Pairing it with the katsu sauce was top tier. I'm surprised it's not crowded, Definitely coming back!

This place is a 3.5 stars. So we came here cause I wanted seafood. So I ended up with the fish plate with rice and Mac salad. Got the fish with Cajun seasoning and it was good perfectly cooked fish. The rice was dry and old tasting on both dishes and the Mac salad was extremely salty. Did enjoy the fish and shrimp tacos. Just wish there were more shrimp. There was like only 5 pieces of shrimp. The chicken was just okay very typical. We ordered on a self kiosk. And there's plenty of seating inside.

I needed a quick lunch and I've been wanting to try out this spot. It's interesting that they're called Fish's wild but also offer Hawaiian food! I got the bbq chicken and katsu plate with brown rice and veggies. It was pretty well portioned and didn't taste too oily which I appreciate!!! I don't like eating super oily fried food. The veggies and brown rice options made it healthy, but would like to try their Mac salad next time! They have a a good amount of sides to try from. Food was made fairly quick, but maybe it was because I was the only person ordering during lunch lol Otherwise, Will def come back !

This was our first time here and the food was amazing. The owners of the restaurant was extremely polite, and the ambience of the location was clean, quiet, and well decorated. We will definitely come back.

Ample parking in this square and they have a good seating and ambiance inside for a quick lunch. Loved their vast menu choices and full entrees of grilled seafood with 2 sides in $18. Friendly staff and quick service calls for a good lunch spot in the neighbourhood. On a weekday, i walked in to order takeout and order was ready in less than 10 mins while i picked my cvs prescription next door. In $18, i got: - grilled tilapia fish 2 pcs 5/5 cajunstyle - side of steamed veggies - brocolli, carrot, zucchini, cabbage/ bokchoy - fries - 4/5 decent masala cajun fries with not crazy spicy but good medium spicy :) made fresh and packed separately. So smart! Thank god for that :) Deducting 1 star due to price - i wish they served half the portion size for half the price (something like a lunch menu in $10 or so) so its more affordable for daily lunches. Will definitely be coming back to try the salmon and chicken katsu

This little venue reminds me of a mix of Hawaiian BBQ and Thai food. The place was clean and they had a self-ordering station as well as a live person who could take your order. I had the chicken katsu with macaroni salad rice...the macaroni was a bit salty, the katsu thin, and the rice wasn't the traditional white rice. I was expecting it to taste like L&L but since it paled in comparison, I was disappointed. My friend enjoyed shrimp curry and she loved it.

Good selection of seafood entrees. Tried their fish taco combo today. Their fries are good; yummy batter and fries are crispy but not oily. Tacos were stuffed full and they have various sauces at each table. Lady at the counter is very sweet. Clean and simple interior. There is outdoor patio seating as well. Self dispense fountain drinks are available. They also sell bottled beer behind the refrigerator along with other beverages.

Fast service, comfy seating and delicious food. I ordered the salmon salad. Salmon was cooked perfectly not overdone and seasoned well. The salad was fresh although the tomatoes were a little bit bigger then I prefer. The addition of apples was a nice texture. The miso dressing was bomb and made me want to take some extra to go. My party also liked their dishes as well. It was overall healthy but still big on taste. It didn't leave us feeling too full but satisfied.

Food: Ume Bowl with Ochazuke Set Price: $26 + $4.5…read moreOverall: I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our anniversary back in April! It is in the general area with Cere Tea and Koi Palace. We arrived around 6PM and were seated immediately. We came for the seafood don and both got the UME with an addition of the ochazuke set. For $26 + 4.5 for the set, I think it's really worth the price and you get a good amount of fresh fish. Each bite felt like I was transported to Japan and eating a Kaisendon. Although we had to wait for a bit for the dashi soup to arrive , it was a delicious end to our meal. So comforting and hearty.

Same quality but Bigger portions and better dashi, for about the same price? Sign me up. My girlfriend and I skated the potato salad appetizer - a delicious DIY experience that let you control the texture of your potato salad (though I feel I overmixed), and two take bowls which were MASSIVE - easily could have shared. The seafood was fresh, the portions generous, and maybe it's because I have a more Americanized palate, but the mixed seafood dashi was richer and paired much better than a mild seafood chazuke. Plus it came with shiso leaves and tempura crunchies so it was really no comparison. Overall this was a delicious meal that left me extremely full, unlike other seafood bowls that leave you just a little too hungry. Given the tastiness of their dashi, I'll def be back to try their udon. Also, as an added bonus, my dogs love the little dashi fish topper on their food they sell separately at the front. Love! --- Sweet: amazing dashi broth, delicious seafood bowls. Rare instance of a dinner living up to the hype Bitter: wish they had mini versions of their more deluxe bowls!!

After waiting for a bit, we just seated ourselves. Then we sat there for about 10 minutes. No menus, no waters, no one checked on us. My boyfriend finally got up and went to the front to ask for menus because everyone behind the counter was just standing around talking. When he finally got someone's attention, she asked if he was there for DoorDash. He said, "No, we're dining in and we're already seated," and all she said was, "Oh." That pretty much summed up the service. A different server eventually came over for our drinks and later asked if we were ready to order. She stood there empty-handed, so I started reading off our order. Halfway through me ordering, she literally walked away without saying a word while I was still talking. She came back with a phone to put the order in, but a simple "Give me one second, I need to grab my phone" would've been nice. It was just weird. This wasn't our first time eating here, but it was definitely the worst service we've ever had. We felt ignored from the moment we walked in, and nobody seemed to know what was going on. We usually tip, even if service isn't perfect, but this was one of the few times we genuinely didn't feel the service deserved it. Really disappointing experience. We used to enjoy coming here, but after tonight, we'll probably think twice before coming back.

A water carafe was brought out right after for us. The restaurant is pretty big, airy and clean. There were tables and booths to be seated at and the tables can easily be arranged to accomodate a large group. We ordered the following for 3 people: 1. Seafood pancake: Different batter than other Korean restaurant. Nice crisp and lots of seafood. Accompanied by a soy sauce but I did not dip it as I like to taste the seafood and not overwhelm my taste buds with sauces on the pancakes. 2. Mul naengmyeon (cold noodles): my first try at this and I enjoyed it. Different from what I am used for noodle soup to but its's very good. Savory but light. Lots of noodles were given and not enough protein. I like the slushy icy broth texture. I think it may be the broth itself frozen as by the time we finish eating, it still maintained a savory broth and not water down. Three people shared this and we couldn't finish the noodles itself. 3. Soy sauce marinade crab: This was a pricy dish for 1 crab accompanied by a fancy dish of rice with some fresh and dried seaweed, tobiko and thinly sliced pickled radish. Well prepared as I did not taste or smell the ocean. Flavorful and good though I prefer eating the spicy marinade crab better as I love spices. We did not try the spicy crab here as a friend do not eat spicy. The dishes were all big. We finished the marinade crab but still had some cold noodles and pancake left to go. Services was average as we had ordered a coke and it came out when we asked for it after the food had all come out. Our water carafe was out and we didn't get a refill since we were finish with our food. When we asked for a spicy sauce to add into the cold noodles it was brought out promptly. You'll have to either eat lightly through the day or skip lunch before coming here for dinner as I think the portions are pretty large. Also, be prepare to pay a high bill as for 3 people including a bottle of soju, 1 soda and 15% tip our bill was a a couple dollars shy of $150.

When you want a consistently great meal to celebrate a special occasion, this place always delivers a solid 4-star experience. Here is why it keeps winning out over other chain options: The Apps to Start: You have to start with the appetizers here. They bring out that warm, fresh sourdough bread to the table which is dangerous because it's so good. Pairing that with their classic seafood apps like the crisp calamari or a shrimp cocktail sets the perfect tone for a birthday dinner. Fresh Fish & Steaks: For the main course, their menu hits the perfect balance. The fresh fish is always cooked beautifully, flaky, and high-quality. If you're looking for land instead of sea, their steaks are consistently juicy, tender, and seasoned just right. The Vibe: Sitting in the Pacific Commons location makes for a great, lively atmosphere that feels celebratory without being overly stuffy. We checked in at the front desk and were escorted to our table. Our server Manny took excellent care of us from beginning to end. He gave us excellent recommendations on things to try, which we really appreciated. We started off the evening with some cocktails. My husband tried the Kickin' Old Fashioned and I tried the Margarita Italiano, that was recommended by Manny. My husband enjoyed his drink and I loved the Margarita Italiano. It was so good! For our appetizer, Manny recommended his personal favorite, which was the Burrata Con Prosciutto. We decided to try it and I'm so glad we did. It was so delicious. He poured a bit of balsamic vinegar on top of the Burrata, and it really made the dish superb. The Prosciutto melted in my mouth and paired perfectly with the Burrata, balsamic vinegar and arugula. We will definitely get that again in the future. For our main dishes, Manny recommended the Linguine Mare Chiaro. I decided to try that and my husband ordered the Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, from their house specials menu. Our dishes arrived fresh and hot. My Linguine Mare Chiaro had clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops in a roasted cherry tomato and white wine sauce. It was delicious. The linguine was cooked perfectly and seafood portions were generous. My husband's dish, Ippglosso Con Limone E Capperi, was a pan seared halibut fillet with a lemon caper sauce served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. We both enjoyed our main dishes. My husband was happily surprised he got two pieces of halibut. Both dishes were delicious and filling. Manny took excellent care of us and gave us the best recommendations. We had a wonderful experience dining here and look forward to many more in the future. I hope we are lucky enough to have Manny again, as our server. A big thank you to Manny for making our night special.

I was looking forward to celebrating a special occasion at Il Fornaio in Santa Clara, but my…read moreexperience with the manager, Maria, over the phone was disappointing. When I called to ask if there were any reservations available for tonight, her immediate response was, "Absolutely not." Before I had the opportunity to ask any follow-up questions or explain my situation, the conversation felt abruptly shut down. Moments later, she added that she could possibly fit us in at 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of our party. I told her that I found her initial response unprofessional because she didn't take the time to explain the situation from the start. A more courteous response would have been to let me know that reservations were full but that there might be a possibility of accommodating us later in the evening. She apologized and said she would respond differently next time, which I appreciated. However, as a manager, first impressions and customer service matter. The way customers are spoken to--especially over the phone when they're simply trying to make a reservation--sets the tone for the entire dining experience. I hope this feedback helps improve how future guests are greeted and assisted.
