I contacted OC Total Pest Control for sightings of a couple termite swarmers in my home... I texted Marcial pictures of the pests that I found, and he confirmed that they were indeed termite swarmers. I was able to promptly schedule a visit for them to inspect my attic and premises to see if there were any signs of infestation. Marcial was prompt and came prepared (with booties!). Luckily for me he did NOT find any signs of infestation, so there was nothing to treat (at this time, knock on wood!). But he did spend a good amount of time explaining possibilities of what to expect and keep an eye out for. We've used OC Total Pest Control for many years now, and they've been great at getting rid of in-house ants when they find their way in (you know - ants always come a-lookin' during the hottest heat waves of the summer). A friend recommended this company to me and I'm so glad she did. I hired them after my AC technician told me there was rat excrement in my crawl space. Marcial, the owner, came out and inspected the crawl space as well as potential entry points. We scheduled a date for he and an employee of his to clean the crawl space, apply repellent, set some traps, and screen off any entry points. His employee, Jason, arrived ahead of Marcial on the appointed day and got to work while Marcial was completing another job. He was so polite and professional! He finished what he could do without Marcial and rather than go to his car or start looking at his phone, he began clearing my backyard and windows of spider webs! I told him I had a few cobwebs inside I couldn't reach and he took care of all of those as well!! So nice!! Marcial refused payment until he came back the following week to check the traps. I was referred to Anson Patrick at OC Total Pest Control for some rental units by a pest control company I found on Yelp. This review is long overdue, since I first used OC Pest Control since 2018. BED BUGS!!! My issue was that I had one rental unit that had an infestation of bed bugs, while the adjoining unit ended up having roaches. Although I thought I wanted the orange oil to rid of bed bugs, I was told it was not as effective as other treatments. My concern was not to displace my tenants, since their mobility was an issue. CUSTOMER SERVICE. Anson showed up on time, and even though my tenants were given notice, they were not completely prepared for the inspection and treatment. Anson went above and beyond and helped clear areas that needed treatment. I contracted with Anson for continued maintenance since I had one of those drought tolerant landscapes that attracted spiders and snails. He is personable and continually communicates whether it's by text or email. AFFORDABLE. OC Pest Control prices are hard to beat. I asked for quotes from a range local LB businesses on Yelp when I came across this bed bug issue, and Anson's prices came out on top. His business was not on Yelp, but by word of mouth. Know that bed bug treatment will run a little pricier than your regular pest treatment. I have always paid for services by check, either by mail or have it available for pick up. I've been a customer of OC Pest Control for 3 years now. Anytime we start to see ants in the beginning of summer, I call them to come spray my yards. Marciel is wonderful and very thorough with the spraying. He even drives around to the otherside of our back yard to spray along the outside of our backyard to make sure ants from the outside don't cross over to our yard. They also promptly scheduled for a follow up spray as guaranteed each time I've asked. Tony is also very accommodating of requests over the phone. Very fast response time, quality inspection of the property. I couldn't see where a mouse had gotten in, but the the technician they sent, Jason, found it in less than a minute. These people know what they're doing. He sealed off the hole where the rodent was using as access as well as placing traps. I also had a ant issue as well. They would form a line and go marching across my kitchen countertop like tiny solder's on parade. These little guys can be very destructive on wood, so I needed them gone. I have waited two days to write this review so I could see if their treatment was effective. So far, no mouse and no ants. Goodness gracious. Considering all of the other positive reviews here, maybe I was expecting a little too much. Maybe I just had a one-off experience or something. Maybe it's bad luck. I don't know. I'm just here to talk about what happened. (You can take my review with a grain of salt) I sent a message to this business via Yelp in which I provided my info, described my issue/request, etc. My request was for a technician to come over to check for entry points in a room and seal them if they exist. The owner gets back to me with a rough estimate and tells me he'll relay his info to his technician. The technician then texts me and we schedule an appointment at my place. When he arrives, he asks me what the problem is. (Interesting?) I asked him if the owner had relayed my message regarding potential entry points that need to be sealed. He says he never got the message and that he doesn't have sealant with him (Great...). He then says that he'll check out the room anyway. After an inspection, he recommends that I change the drain in my shower. He said that he'd do some shopping at home depot and at other dept stores to find it, and that he'd get back to me. I write a check for him, trusting he'd be back to both check and seal potential entry points (if any), and replace the drain (but more on that later). I reached out to the technician three times and the owner twice over the course of two weeks after the technician's visit to schedule another appointment to install the drain and check/seal entry points which I had originally asked (read: meant to pay) for. The owner stated that part of the reason for the delay in getting back to me was due to issues with their ISP. I'm not sure why that would have affected my texts going to their cell phones, but umm ok I guess. This has yet to be scheduled/resolved. Bottom line: they did not attend to my original request upon visiting and still have yet to do so. Both the owner and technician have ignored my texts as well. My last text to the owner was on August 10. read more

Its 3:30am and my phone was ringing off the hook. A burglar? In the basement? HOW??! Here's how... RATS. It has been a helluva year for rats. Covid has food spoiling in the dumpsters in the alleys outside of empty restaurants trying too make ends meet. Not a soul in sight. Add El Niño to the mix and you get the worst rodent infestation in decades. So that weekend - the first without our dog on guard for over a year - rats broke into our basement. Why? Why, to eat our Covid food storage from Costco - PB pretzels - over Thanksgiving weekend! Rat infestations grow quickly. I called everyone I could find. Finally I was referred to Anson by a local pest guy who came highly recommended by a neighbor. Now I'm referring everyone to him. Anson is a top notch character who taught me things about how the rodents were getting in that I didn't ever want to know! He dropped everything to come and help me with great urgency. He came quickly and stayed until it was done. Every point if entry as small as a dime was closed up! And these were little holes under awnings of between bricks that I never would have seen on my own. He was kind and thoughtful and expedient. And super responsive. His approach was smart, well informed and logical. I don't like hurting animals and he came in ready with a plan that was going to be the most humane and we haven't had an issue since. He regularly comes by and checks and is very communicative and always gets back to me when I reach out, and quickly! Who ever is reading this know that the faster you get your house sealed off and all sources of food and water eliminated, the better. These guys are great. They don't try to upsell you, and they did a great job. I had some disgusting American cockroaches wandering into my house after my neighbors had sprayed their house. I tried spraying my house with the Ortho pest control stuff from Home Depot, but it didn't seem to do the trick. After a single exterior perimeter spray from OC Total Pest Control, I haven't spotted a single one inside my house for over a month. Although they recommended we do some limited interior spraying, they were totally fine with us starting out with an exterior-only spraying, and they said they'd come back free of charge if we continued to see problems. Had a flea infestation problem, that needed to be addressed RIGHT AWAY as it was starting to get pretty bad. I contacted OC Total Pest Control, and they had no openings until later on in the week. I had told them the infestation was getting bad and I wanted to get this addressed ASAP. I requested them put me on the waitlist, in case there was an early cancellation. True excellence in all ways is how I'd describe the service. Had a rat in the attic but thanks to the help of a very knowledgeable and friendly Marcel, this issue is no more. From the moment he arrived I knew he was genuinely interested in helping us, not just making money. He formulated a plan to deal with the issue. Though he did not have the necessary tools on this consultation visit, he still took the time to create a temporary fix until he returned. He returned and carried out the plan and said he would return the following week to check traps. He identified areas of my home where the rat could get into my home that I had never considered (guess this is why you call experts). I must call out that on both visits he was not only on time, he was on time to the second. With a busy life like most, this type of consideration is extremely valued. We had been getting bites off and on for 2 years. Previously had someone (from another company) come check for bed bugs, and were told we did not have any. Took my 3 kids to the pediatrician, and though she was not sure where the bites were from, she recommended treatment for scabies, since all 5 family members had been bitten (and scabies is very contagious). Eventually, our bites would subside, but the issue would always resurface after a few months. The worst part was, we still had no answers as to what was going on. Fast forward to March 2021, when I got about 40 bites after cleaning out a box in my closet. Within a few weeks, my husband and kids all had super itchy bites all over too. One night after vacuuming the family room rug, we actually saw live fleas in the vacuum canister! Within a day, we started to see fleas jumping on us, and in multiple rooms in the house! At least we had some answers now. I spoke to Tony on a Friday & he sent Marcial that afternoon to give us an estimate. Although it was the most pricey, they were able to spray the next day on a Saturday (and I was desperate with over 100 bites!) AND they offered a 60 day guarantee. With my history of dealing with bites for over 2 years, it's comforting to know they would return if needed. We ended up checking into a hotel because I wasn't sleeping at night (even took Benadryl to keep from waking up and scratching). When Marcial found out we were going to stay at a condo for a week, he offered to come back again for a 2nd spray on Wednesday while we were still away. I was so thankful and felt like he understood our plight and really cared to get the fleas taken care of. We came home daily (wearing white tube socks to be able to see any fleas) to wash all the bedding & vacuum everything (sofa cushions, beds, carpets/rugs). Upon returning home, I had our gardeners put a mesh wire under our porch, as we suspected wild animals (rabbits, crows, and who knows what else) were camping out under the subfloor. To my horror, my gardener said fleas jumped on them while sealing off the area. I was devastated, and worried the pests may make their way back into our home! I left a message with Tony that Monday, and Marcial was back out on Tuesday to spray for a 3rd time, just focusing on the porch area. I think he was able to get a much more thorough spray, since the gardeners had cleared out a lot of the foliage & ground cover that had somewhat blocked access previously. OC Total Pest Control really does stand by their guarantee. I have not seen any fleas in or outside in over a week, but I know Marcial will handle it promptly if I do. Thankful we got OC total pest control at our house so quick. We had a bad case of ants in our house. I tried every natural remedy and nothing worked. They always found another way in and I was going crazy. I called numerous companies for quotes and OC Total Pest had a great price but also the longest warranty! They came the same week and found the two spots the damn ants were coming in from. We choose to only have them spray outside while I used non-toxic OrangeGuard inside our home. And it worked. We haven't seen one ant. Also, my husband dealt with Marcial and had nothing but amazing things to say which is shocking since he didn't want the spray done in the first place. Zero star if I can. OC total pest control had lie and write a fake report on 08/29/2022 for my property management/owner stating that my place have no cockroaches infestation. My place is clearly cockroach's infested by many different types of roaches, due to the cockroaches feeding off of sewage water leaks from underneath the house coming into my home and other units. The property I live on is a four Units duplex occupied by four different families, all the units are cockroaches infested due to years of neglect on the property. Meaning the property is supposed to be treated underneath the house and all four units needed to be treated, not only mine but they only did mine. Also the person that they sent was very unprofessional, he didn't have a uniform on, no identification, or proper equipments to spray my home. He did horrible job spraying less than 10 minutes but lied and said he was in my home for 30-45 minute. It is still infested with cockroaches as of today. On 09/17/2022 at 10:03am OC total pest control showed up to my front door unannounced and stated that my property management sent him, but I was not given any notice and due to my bad experience I did not let him in. He was also very rude, he did not want to listen to anything I had to tell him about what I had experience from his company. Below are pictures to show proof that my place is cockroaches infested by a few different type of cockroach's. Their report are FAKE and full of lies. This company is a FRAUD. Also for them to write a fake report for my property management/owner, I'm sure they have some illegal connection going on. I discovered I had fleas in my house. This was a HUGE NOPE. We no longer had any pets and recently had the carpeted bedrooms steam cleaned. So I had no idea how "the invasion" happened. All I knew was that I needed them gone STAT. I looked around on Yelp for some reputable exterminators, came across OC Total Pest Control, and decided to call. I spoke with Marciel (the Exterminator/Owner) and told him what "symptoms" I had and he immediately said it sounded like fleas. He said he would be able to come by in between other appointments to take a look and make a proper assessment. Upon meeting him, I could tell right off the bat that he really knew what he was talking about. He didn't recommend "bombing" the house, as my problem didn't seem severe enough to warrant that. He was able to squeeze me in later that same day to come by and treat the carpeted room (where the activity was happening). I think we can all agree that having any kind of insect/critter/rodent infestation, mild or severe is not fun. I was super paranoid for a few days afterwards, as I kept thinking I was "feeling" them. Marciel explained that it would take a day or two but then I should be fine. He followed up by texting me and asking if I had any new bites and what not. He was so kind and thorough and went the extra mile that you wouldn't normally expect nor get from other companies. I believe he used to work for Terminix for 15 plus years before starting his own company. So he definitely is knowledgeable in his field. The cost to treat one carpeted room was $150, really fair and reasonable, considering other companies were quoting far higher than that. If I recall, there was a 6-month guarantee for the flea treatment services. It's been a month so far, and I'm happy to say that everything has been flea-free! But I'm confident that if I called Marciel and told him otherwise, he'd come out and take care of it with no issue. read more

I called OC Total Pest Control based off their Yelp reviews. I had called to inquire on their pest service and Marciel answered all my questions and was able to come out the very next morning. Since the weather here has been extremely high we have had a few little critters making their way into the house. He sprayed two types of sprays indoors to eliminate existing bugs as well as prevent future ones then proceeded to spraying the home perimeter. As I watched him spray the outside, I felt very comfortable knowing that he was very thorough with his spraying. Our family had a lot of concerns about the safety of the chemicals being used and he was able to answer all of my questions. They also guarantee their service so Marciel has ensured me if the problem arises, or if a bug is seen within the next month, he will return to spray again without charge.
