If you could describe your perfect Sunday night dinner with your friends how would you describe it? Just like how a lot of people say, if you can have such a great dinner with friends without drinking alcohol you can safely assume your group can have fun anywhere even in the middle of Sahara Desert with nothing but friendship. However, like everything in life there are things that can help boost the atmosphere just a little more such as good food, clean atmosphere, and friendly servers. Without a doubt, if you live in an area that's not an urban area in the United States, you won't be able to find that many places to spend quality times with your friends. Everywhere you go is either supermarkets or bars where you cannot enter if you or anyone else in a group is a minor. This may be true but this is also exactly why places like OB Square shines among the rest of the restaurants. OB Square Tustin has many variety of foods starting from simple appetizers like peanuts to a shareable dish like a whole chicken. My group ordered salt and garlic shrimp (SGS), sweet and sour chicken (SSC), and bulgogi cheese fries (BCF). SGS was my personal favorite with the shrimp cooked just right, with exotic feeling sauce awakening my every single taste bud. Although I cannot eat hot food, I had no choice but to gulp down everything within a second in order to make sure my group does not take everything. Next on our table was SSC. Being a Korean, I missed eating Korean style Chinese food and so this was perfect opportunity for me to feel that nostalgic feeling of Korea again. The main ingredient, which was chicken itself was delicious but once again the sauce did its magic. The sweetness of the sauce complimented the sour hint just right and it left me speechless when I ate my rice with the sauce. Lastly bulgogi cheese fries is just meant for everyone. Usually when I get fries with cheese, the fries come out soggy from the cheese. However, the one from OB Square was still crunchy despite the more than generous amount of sauce and cheese. Atmosphere is arguably one of the most important factors that decides how the restaurant is reviewed. Without a good atmosphere no one would want to come into the restaurant to begin with and thus there wouldn't be any reviews at all. This restaurant's atmosphere was very light mooded with the feeling of the go-to-paradise of the weekends. With everything cleaned so well I would not have minded if there were no tables and had to sit on the floor. That is how much well kept everything was. The lighting also helped to create the right mood for not only just a bar but also a restaurant. If you sit on the table with no table, you will get the warm comfortable feeling of a modern restaurant while on the bar side, you will be able to feel like the place you are at is just meant to be that bar everyone wants to get in on a Friday night. Lastly, wouldn't rude employees ruin your perfect dinner regardless of how good the food and atmosphere are? Whoever goes to this restaurant does not have to worry about this though because everyone there is very friendly and kind with a smile all the time. When we were ordering we messed up on the order quite a lot but the waitress was just as friendly as when we first came in. They had the vibes of your close school friends or colleagues. In conclusion, if you are near Tustin and have no time to decide on where to go for dinner, the Tustin OB Square is your obvious choice. So sad that this place didn't turn out to be what I was hoping for. This South OC area really lacks a decent Korean style bar with good bar food that stays open late. So I've been keeping my eye on this place ever since Tani (the restaurant before it) closed down. I went in on Friday night with some of my gals to get some chimek and also go for the quintessential Korean bar food. We ordered the OB wings, ramen with ddukbokki, calamari and a kimchi pancake. In order of appearance: 1) Kimchi jun: we asked for it without oysters, it came with oysters. 2) OB Wings: When someone usually says OB, I automatically assume it's a Korean establishment or brand. The wings were clearly not Korean style. I was anticipating a nicely breaded chicken wing, but instead it was marinated or rolled in five spice post fry topped with garlic, dried red peppers and jalapenos. Nothing against any Chinese style wings, but when I go looking for a specific flavor and it doesn't deliver and the title is a bit misleading, it causes disappointment. We then asked, if they had KFC (korea fried ckn) and they said it's the one that's called "Buffalo Wings". ???? So we ordered those, and they came out piping hot and SUPER juicy. While we were enjoying the flavorful ckn wings, my friend tore into her wing with her chopsticks first...the wings were raw inside...ergo, juicy. We sent them back, but they re-fried the ones they already gave us. The reason we knew were because the ones that were bitten into were re-presented on the plate. Just brown and fried over. 3) The fried calamari: Also overly 5 spiced, small bits of calamari that were overly fried that they got lost in the fried batter and shriveled up. Also, the batter was tough and dry. 4) Lapokki: decent and the rice cakes tasted fresh. 5) Drinks: We got Cass Beer and some flavored sojus. All were delicious and refreshing. The service started off stellar, especially in the beginning, but if you're used to going to Korean bars, you're used to "service" when things get messed up and you have to keep asking for fixes. I don't feel like any sort of rectification was offered until too late. By the time the offer came for additional drinks, we were over everything. Too many requests to fix things and pointing out something was wrong. The fact that we got charged for wings at the end of our night didn't seem right either. Didn't knock them down to a 1 star because their service wasn't god awful. They told us the cook was Chinese and Korean and that he was figuring out the flavorings of what worked and what didn't. Again, nothing against Chinese flavors, but it wasn't what I expected from a Korean bar. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but I thought our choices were pretty standard and should have been executed flawlessly. OB Square - Korean Near Me - Tustin, California

I'm so happy that a second OB Square has opened up closer to me. I used to travel all the way to the Rowland Heights area to get my fix of soju, beer, and chicken wings. I came with a really big party last night and the service was phenomenal. We ordered so much food yet the dishes arrived in a timely manner. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful. When they pre-buss plates with bits and pieces of food on it they actually transfer it to a smaller plate in the back and bring it back out for us just in case we weren't done. That shows they really care and appreciate us. The interior of the restaurant is really cool. They have all these lights and lasers, it's pretty lit. They also have a private karaoke room for you to sing your heart out. Their parking lot is also humongous. Can't wait to come back to this place! read more

Loved this spot. My friends and I got one of the $80 combos. Came with an entire fried chicken that was delicious to the last bite.
