My wife being Korean born refined her cooking skills in the eastern cuisine like Korean, Japanese, Thailand, and others while I have refined my skills with French and Italian. Prescott is a beautiful place to live but its culinary basis is built on sawdust. We usually cook for ourselves if we want a top notch meal. Now the past several years I have been confined to a wheelchair and transport is very limited. We used to spend winters in Hawaii where we could get great quality meals and seafood whether we prepared them or went out. So our 40th! I wanted to do something special for my wife since I have not been living up to my end of our culinary relationship being confined to a wheelchair. Thus I started seeking out a Chef that would come to our home with his staff and prepare a custom made meal for us. I selected Chef Thomas and Copper State Kitchen. I started by a rather lengthy discussion via phone and followed up with sending Chef Thomas some of our favorite recipes, sufficient for him to develop a five-course meal for us. Chef Thomas is very professional and easy to work with. We refined the meal over the next two days we agreed on the following proposed menu; I supplied the wines. Amuse-Bouche * Fig Jam, Blue Cheese, Red Wine Poached Pear & Arugula Crostini Starter * Prime Rib Poke with sesame crunch and microgreens and pipkuala aioli (based on my deconstruction of the infamous Tiki Bar in Waikiki dish) Pasta Course * Lobster Tagliatelle in a Champagne Cream Sauce Main Course * Beef Wellington with foie gras and red wine demi-glace Dessert * Crème Brûlée (torched table-side) Wine Pairings * Santa Margarita Prosecco DOCG * Domaine Salmon Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc * Tenuta de Sesta Brunello di Montalcino 1996 * Chateau Rieussec 1st Grand Cru Classe 1863 Sauternes 2004 Every course was perfect and very enjoyable. And they cleaned the kitchen meeting my wife's expectations. I highly recommend Copper State Kitchen for your personal culinary experience to celebrate your special occasions.

The pizza's were very good, and Rachel and Dominic were the kindest most wonderful chefs /servers. Here is why I would say I will NOT use this service again to cater my events: communication was awful: i never understood that only three toppings were allowed ( so really only choice of three pizzas), The picture I saw when I booked was a real truck, then actually just a hand push trailor showed up - AND HERE IS THE REAL PROBLEM - I had guests show that were not included in the "35" pizzas i paid for because they didn't RSVP- I needed two extra pizzas to be made that I said I would gladly pay for , Oakwood Fire Pizza couldn't do it- they didn't even have two extra doughs in the cooler, NOTHING _NADA _ZIPPO. then I am told I would have had to ask for that "extras" to be included- how do you know what you don't know? - communication was a nightmare from start to finish. OAkwood-Fire Pizza catered our wedding in November 2020 and they were amazing! The entire process was so easy! Vivianna was incredibly helpful with all the coordinating, answering questions, and helping to make this process would be a success. Wedding planning can be so stressful and Oak Wood-Fire Pizza really took all the stress out of catering with their professionalism and experience. On the actual day of the wedding they showed up on time, ready to go. The service was fast (no long lines) and the people helping with the event were incredibly nice. Most importantly the food was delicious! It's been 2 months since our wedding and guests still rave about the pizza. Communication was awesome while selecting the menu, getting an estimate, emails, updates and changes (on my end with venue and headcount) they payed such great attention to detail and it all went so smoothly. Absolutely zero stress the day of the party and during. Food and chefs were on point. We used Oakwood Fire Pizza for a rehearsal dinner in Strawberry AZ and had a very good experience. Despite the rain and snow the guys kept working under their little tent and delivered our food on time. It was set up to our liking and the food was hot and delicious. We had O.F.P. come out for my companies Fall Picnic. We had the Buffalo Chicken, Peperoni and Margharita Pizza with their Mixed Chop and Caprese Salad and all of it was GREAT. Stopped by the North Phoenix location off Bell Road and everything hit the mark. The bread, the…read morepizza, and the wings were all good. What can you say? Red Devil is bomb. Even on a bad day, it's still better than most places on their best day. Hopefully they open a location farther west because we'd definitely be regulars.

The bruschetta had that perfect balance of fresh tomatoes, basil, and a nice balsamic drizzle on toasted bread, while the pizza was loaded with toppings and had a great crust. Everything tasted fresh and well-executed. Our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, which made the experience even better. I sat outside in the evening and got to enjoy the beautiful backdrop of the Scottsdale mountains. The outdoor setting was relaxed and added a nice touch to the whole night. Highly recommend for solid Italian-style food with a great atmosphere.

Pizza was fine and service ok…read more Where we had an issue was when my wife ordered a glass of the Sauv Blanc from the menu (NZ Wai Wai $15 a glass) and the server pointed out a special on the blackboard - a French Sauv Sincerrite. Turned out this was $21 a glass!! Server never mentioned that, firstly, secondly, this wine is no more expensive in the market than Wai Wai so not only was this sneaky up-selling, but egregious price gouging as well. Another minor gripe: wife commented to me that she should have maybe asked for some Arugula for the pizza. A passing waitress overheard her and said she could get that for us and duly came pack with a small dish - probably no more than a couple of pinches. I thought that was attentive and kind in the moment but taken aback to find a $3 charge for probably 1/2 an ounce of Arugula on our bill. The amounts are minor but the manner in which these up charges were sneaked in left me very unhappy. We have been regulars at BASE since it originally opened (we knew the founders in Hong Kong) so we are genuinely disappointed by this new approach by management.
