I want to file a complaint about this place. What happened to me yesterday is something I have never seen in all my years in my life, not in one place in the world. I go to this bar sometimes since I live in Glendale for a long time. The waiters were very rude to the customers. Clients were sitting at the next table. When the male waitress approached, they told him a couple of times where you were, we want to order, he came up, answered rudely like f/ you guys and left. And didn't bring them the drinks. At this time, a drunk female waitress came and almost made a s'x scene on the table with the client, then they almost sat on our table meanwhile he was touching her butt and she was almost moaning. WTF!!! I mean, you can do that when you are not at work but not a worker!!! While she was carrying the drinks, she spilled half of the contents on the floor because she was drunk AF. After that we moved inside. The waitress started cleaning glasses and broke a couple of glasses at the bar, she could barely walk. We sat quietly and talked. They didn't pay any attention to us, they started cleaning, cleaning the room, breaking dishes, glasses, wiping off dust. After that, the bill was brought, my partner paid, but I didn't know that he didn't leave a tip. When the waiter saw this, he started shouting - the client must leave a tip or f' you. We remained open for your sake. WTF??! It was 1 am and the bar is closing at 2 am. There were not last call or at least they didn't warned us. After that we went out and he started yelling like crazy, like go f yourself, don't come again, we don't want you here. And it's all because of tips. But since there is no service - no tips, right? When I started talking to him calmly, the drunken female waitress came to us and she was again barely standing asking - What's wrong. I calmly explained what's wrong. And then she started telling me - Oh, this is America and you have to leave a tip, it's a law. What?! And she keeps telling me that this is America, in America you can't leave like that. I am living here for 10 years and know laws better than her. Being drunk at work - it's prohibited, being racist and beg for money as well is prohibited. The things that they both told me and to my date - I can easily file a lawsuit for being that rude, telling me to f' you while serving a customer and for being racist since I didn't mention my race, she was keep telling me that this is America etc with the hint that I'm not local. Please check the cameras of your waitress yesterday night from 10 pm and you will see surprisingly things. I used to go to that bar before and recommended to my friends but now no more. I have never encountered such a situation not even in the rudest places ever around the world. I hope they are going to be fired, I will keep checking it since I live close by. And also I will contact to my lawyer about this situation and for being racist first of all. It was a good place to hang out but... sorry, you made a mistake to have waitresses like that. read more

I am baffled by the positive reviews. This is some of the worst restaurant food I have ever had in LA. Here is what we ordered: Caesar salad--limp lettuce, bagged shredded parmesan, hard croutons Cheese plate--grocery store grade cheese with no flavor Flatbread--I will always eat bread with cheese on it, but this had literally no flavor Wine--2 glasses. The wine was fine. Cost: approximately $120 (?!) On my way to the bathroom I saw the burrata they use: the same sad, cheap burrata in a plastic container with liquid that you buy at Ralphs. They are buying inexpensive store food, putting it on a nice plate, and calling it restaurant-worthy. Also, the owner smoked a cigarette right at the entrance which was super unpleasant for those of us on the patio. If you're looking for American fare and a wine bar, try your luck at Bacari GDL down the street. read more

Old Fashioned: - 4 dashes Angostura (please don't use orange bitters) - 1/2 ounce simple syrup (please make yours and preferably with Demerara - Id like to stress that Old Fashioned uses some type of sugar. Whether that's the muddled sugar cubes or simple syrup, this is a staple in an old fashioned - 2 ounces of Whiskey (preferably bourbon or Rye. It's sacrilege to use blended scotch) - 1 cherry (you use Luxardos so props) - garnish with orange peel (torch the zest if you want to be fancy) I'm disappointed to say the least. I love(d) this place and it's impeccable art of cocktail making. Maybe it's a rough patch for the new owner but I am hopeful. We were there just to grab a drink and catch up with each other. The place is a super cute and cozy ambiance. I lived the part. They didn't have decaf drink, so they made me hot water with lemon and honey, and it was just perfect for me. We ordered empanada recommended by the waiter. It was very good. Inly thing was the music was really loud even after I asked them to turn it down. They did turn it down, but it was still a bit loud for us to talk and listen well to each other. Service: Excellent! Parking: There is a paid parking structure 2 blocks East. It is in the heart of Glendale, you could find street parking, but it may be a bit tough depending on the day and time you go. read more

So last week we took a family trip to Los Angeles. We stayed in Glendale and the next morning before leaving looked for somewhere to have brunch. We found this restaurant through Yelp, had great reviews so thought we'd try it out. We were NOT disappointed. From the ambience, the cleanliness, the customer service and of course the Food was amazing. Apparently they just started brunch around a month ago, so we got lucky. Im we each had something different, I personally chose the Banana Nutella Crepe, my son the Strawberry Banana Crepe, my wife the Italian Panini, and my littlest one just pancakes. We got some sides of bacon and some prosciutto. Food was 5 stars for sure. I got to taste a little bit of everything and the crepes were great, but the Italian Panini was the best. All the food was good. For drinks my wife tried the Bubbles and Berries and I had a Long Island Iced Tea. Drinks were in point to. We may not go to Glendale anytime soon again as we live hours away, but we highly recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Five stars for service and attentiveness. But low stars for the food. I was in the area and was attracted to come here by the good Yelp reviews and gorgeous food/ cocktail pictures. I specifically ordered the Parisian Orchid thinking I'd get this cocktail that looked like a garden. Instead it came as a yellow almost urine color garnished with a yellow flower. Whyyyy did I pay $12 for this. At least it tasted fine, but very average. For food I ordered the jalapeño sausage because I came by myself and I wanted some variety and it was on the Happy Hour menu,. My dish did NOT look like other pictures posted in the past 1-2 years where the sausage is piled and garnished with greens. The Oak and Vine has an outdoor, dog friendly patio seating (with heat lamps available). Happy hour is also available everyday, 5-8 pm. My husband, our little girl dog and I decided to come by here last Friday evening around 8:40 pm. I had initially called about 20 minutes earlier to ask if the outdoor patio (uncovered) was dog friendly. The employee who answered said it was and had asked if I was planning on coming soon and that he could reserve a table for me since there only a few tables left. So when we came, we were immediately greeted by employee who came outside. We were seated at the table that was reserved for us and given menus. After looking it over, we ended up getting: Warm Sun Dried Turkey Sandwich, $14 prior to tax- I decided to order something to eat since it had been quite a while since I last ate something and also I have learned that you should never drink on an empty stomach. Anyways, this sandwich is served on a nice chewy ciabatta with turkey, sun dried tomatoes, grilled onions with a nice spread of basil aioli. This sandwich order also came with a side of chips. Great flavor and filling, but kind of expensive for what it is. Cabernet Sauvignon Castoro $10 prior to tax- My husband opted for a glass of this red wine. I didn't try any but he enjoyed it. Sangria, $9 prior to tax- This sangria surprised me because I was expecting to get a glass of a fruit filled sangria. But although the fruit was missing, it still tasted good. Now when I had ordered this with a male sever, it took a long time for this drink to come. I did inform the seating hostess (whom I suspect may have also been a supervisor?) that we did not get our drink and so she told me that she would comp my drink because of the long wait. Creme Brulee, $9 prior to tax- We were asked by the seating hostess if we would be willing to move to another table since the employees wanted to combine the small table we were sitting at with the empty small table next to us for a party of 4. She told us that she would like to treat us to a free crème brulee for the inconvenience. It wasn't a big deal that we moved, but it was a little disappointing that there was a male smoking next to the table we were moved to. Anyways, it did take a while to gret this. And this dessert was pretty small and am surprised that it is rather pricey. But we did get this free. -------------------------------- (Total= $26.22 after tax and food items comped, prior to tip Service was severely lacking. It looks like there is no dedicated employee/ sever to help with those people sitting outside, as we saw the same severs were working inside (both down and upstairs). They were very understaffed. I greatly appreciate that the seating hostess comped both my drink and a free dessert for us. If she had not done that, my review rating would be different. I would consider coming by here again to try their happy hour. But I do fear that we would have slow service again on a future visit. By the way, there is free WiFi available here. The turkey sliders were really delicious and the chorizo pizza was not on a traditional dough, it was a bit of a flat bread status. I thought it had too much cheese. Came here on a weekday evening. Was very easy to get seated and their appetizers were really good (salmon toast, empanadas and the oak special flatbread). This place is good to go get a drink and appetizers but they don't really have meals/entrees for dinner. Taking things to the limit in terms of money/quantity trade off via the post pandemic restaurant scene, you are immediately greeted by a hostess who gives you a menu mostly filled with $15 cocktails and pretend expensive (same stuff you find at BevMo) wine list with truly limited selections. There are foods on the menu but nothing you'd call dinner or lunch, but more like Tapas or appetizers. Never mind that prices are essentially the same as full portion dinner menu.
