First time visiting, glad it was still opened when we left the Nocturne Theatre next door. So glad because it was sooo good! We started with 2 appetizer plates of the Oyster Mushroom Skewers. They were AMAZING! They had a slight charred taste and were simply scrumptious! We all enjoyed them very much. We also ordered a Mediterranean Greek Salad and shared it because it's pretty big. I had the Scottish Salmon and it was pretty good. I love a good crispy salmon skin but it was just a little dry. Two people ordered the Jidori Chicken and they really raved about them. I also enjoyed an Atrium Martini and it was really good. The service was great, they always checked in on us and refilled drinks fast. The ambiance was classy upscale, a really nice place to take a date or hang with fun friends. So glad we got a chance to try it!

A stylish modern Mediterranean restaurant with a spacious dining area and lots of cozy booths. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly and attentive. There's plenty of metered and public parking nearby, which makes it super convenient. I had an exotic dessert called ashta for the first time -- it was unique and delicious!

It was my second visit here this month and I can't wait to return. Perfect spot for a date, girls night out or a lavish brunch. Beautiful restaurant with quality food and top notch ingredients. Gohar the owner made some wonderful recommendations and we loved everything. The tuna tartare, calamari and flatbread was a hit! Their drinks are strong and tasty . I loved the cucumber mint drink they have. The baklava and ashta desserts and mint tea are spot on. 5 all the way!

Good and bad -- the Spanish Octopus was great. Tender and flavorful. The pasta was good but the portion was very underwhelming, not worth the price. Their chicken jidori was ok. Service was also good, but also bit awkward (if you get what I mean). There were also not a lot of people. We were a bit surprised that the water was part of our bill, they didn't specify that it was bottled still. Ambiance was lovely though. Will not go back though.

Atrium is a hidden GEM!!!!! If I could give it a 15 out of 10, I would. Everything was utterly perfect - from the incredible architecture, to the beautiful design and decor, to the delicious food, and finally, the amazing service. I cannot say enough good things about this place. And it's perfect for any event - a date night, a group outing, girls night, a corporate dinner, a family dinner, bridal/baby showers, etc! As mentioned, the ambiance is perfect. It has a Tuscan, classy, relaxing vibe to it. The tables are spaced out perfectly so you do not feel as though you are sitting on top of each other. And tonight they had beautiful live music that was the perfect addition. Service was wonderful. We had a great waiter and several others were always around and helpful. The owner/manager was also amazing - super attentive and very nice and welcoming! Now for the best part - the food and drinks! We got SEVERAL things on the menu and every dish was better than the last. I can't even pick a favorite. The caviar starter is a show stopper and tastes like heaven. The Atrium chips were eggplant and zucchini fried chips and tasted fantastic. The falafels were the best I've ever had - crunch and fluffy at the same time. The oyster mushroom were super hearty and meaty - so good!!! Our steak and Branzino were also wonderful. And the desserts were incredible! You can't go wrong with anything you choose! I can't wait to go back! Already planning on celebrating my brother's birthday here and hosting our company Christmas party here also! Totally recommend it!

We're big fans of everything greek so when my husband saw this place was having Greek night with Greek music, we were very excited. The music was wonderful, there was a gentleman performer who started and closed the entertainment, would love to come back to watch him again. The woman entertainer... I will keep my opinions to myself but I will say if I owned this place I wouldn't invite her back for multiple reasons. Service here from start to finish was wonderful across the board. I love it when it's not just the server assisting you, but the entire staff is very much so hands on. We were checked on multiple times to make sure everything was ok. The restaurant is very well done, very open and bright, beautiful and simple interior. If you have a group or a large party, they can easily accommodate. They have indoor and covered patio seating. Now for the food and drinks! My husband had about 5 drinks.... Bartender really good and consistent. I can't remember my cocktail's name but it had passion fruit and it was delicious! Greek night came with a set 7 course meal. They gave a lot of starters which were all delicious, the mushrooms were our highlight because they were like nothing we've ever had, I would thousand percent recommend ordering them! The trio dip was amazing as well, each dip was great quality and very well done, only thing I wasn't crazy about were the crackers. The sesame seeds fall off instantly and all over the table and the crackers were a bit oily, every touch and you needed to clean your hands. Tuna tartare was great, and the veggie chips of course. We were so full after the appetizers that we were very happy for delay on entrees, I think they paced it by the food on our table and not by timing which I appreciated. Now for the main event, I know this is not an excuse but I will give them the benefit of the doubt that there was maybe a lot going on and too many things going out at once because everything else was so good but the rest of the menu was awful in my opinion. My husband was ok with it, but I didn't eat anymore after a bite of everything. The shrimp that came was inconsistent, they brought us two, one for each and one was pink, the under was blue and under cooked... they both tasted fishy. The branzino was not awful but it was the worst I've ever had, slightly over cooked and again very fishy. The ribeye, however, was the worst I've ever had. It was cooked medium, which is ok, but it was so dry, and had absolutely zero seasoning and flavor. I literally had to look if there was any seasoning on there and it was invisible, I refused to eat more than the bite I had. Was not happy about the sides either, the truffle fries were drowned in truffle, oil but the aioli was delicious. Asparagus not so crazy about it, but I did like the touch of cooked prosciutto. For the things I didn't like, I honestly wouldn't order there, but I would love to order some different items from their everyday menu. Overall, I think anyone would have a good experience here, definitely worth the try!

My friends and I had a lovely time here after watching a ballet at the theatre next door. Everything we had was great, including the bubbly and rosé. There was live music as well--a pianist and an opera singer who sang with such gusto and passion, it was like a double dose of theatre that night. I had the halibut, I was expecting a larger portion for the price, but it was delicious--the lemony couscous complimented the grilled fish perfectly. The ashta was the best I've ever had, I love the way it was prepared with the little rose water pouring spout. We'll definitely be back again when in the area!

With the seemingly ever-changing landscape along Brand Blvd. in downtown Glendale, this establishment has been around since 2012 (which I believe was the first and only time I came here). Primarily known for its inventive craft cocktails and a killer whiskey selection, it was a nice place to sneak away into before or after your main event... or, maybe this could be the place to spend an entire evening. Would this bar famously make an impression on me to remember to return in the future!? PURCHASE(S) Fremont Brewing Dark Star Double Oatmeal Imperial Stout Beer 8.00% ABV 16floz Draft ($6.00 HH; Reg. $9.00): Dark brown color, coffee oatmeal roasty aroma, medium body, chocolate coffee oatmeal roasty toasty flavor, mouthfeel smooth finish, and coffee oatmeal roasty toasty aftertaste. This was a really tasty brew and my favorite of the two! https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=ad_C9YTJYF9lVr2FOEQLkg 12" Margherita Pizza ($20.00 HH; Reg. $26.00): A simple pizza with a somewhat thin crust that was kind of cardboardy, the flavor was rather pedestrian with chewy mozzarella although the basil was fragrant and fresh. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=kdkvUttCLmMOAGQ1nyp5tg Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. After a few minutes of reviewing the menu, we each placed our order at the bar, our drinks were delivered quickly while the food took mere minutes to arrive at the table. We had to approach the bar each time we ordered something, but any empty glasses and plates were collected at the table. Once we closed out our tabs, we were thanked for coming as we headed out into the night. Everything was chill and easy - thank you! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance): I parked in the nearby original Glendale Galleria parking structure and simply walked over first to The Americana then to this place. Otherwise, there was limited parking along the main drag of Brand Blvd. and other surrounding side streets, the nearby Glendale Galleria II parking structure, The Americana parking structure that offered validation, numerous public transportation options, and rideshares - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A dark cavernous speakeasy-like place with open space, various tables and couches strewn about, and a large long somewhat decorative bar with an impressive whiskey selection displayed behind it. I appreciated the exposed brick walls which gave it that old-time feel with a few framed pictures hung on them. Minimal natural lighting came through the front doors and windows while minimal electric ceiling lights filled in rest. There was at least one projection TV where we watched the Dodgers game while music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw&start=24&select=SomLKsk1KVcemeOCHGOZfg ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL It was nice to slip into The Famous Bar for the first time in over a decade, and if I found myself spending time in downtown Glendale again, I'd consider another visit. Sadly, I try to avoid the highly congested area as much as possible. I loved the fact that they had a daily happy hour (4pm-7pm) and late-night SU-TH happy hours (10:30pm-close), so there was always a deal to be found. The drinks were the main reason you came, while the food was just an add-on. The prices were elevated, but you had a good menu selection of libations (nice local craft beer list) to choose from. The customer service was easy, friendly, and straightforward. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $42.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... Not for myself... lmao, since I was new here, but you can tell that everyone knows each other, and it's just a really friendly environment to be in. I felt totally safe, even though I was one of like three girls there, and honestly, everyone was super nice, super friendly, and sarcastic--just the way I like it. It was easy to feel comfortable and even easier to want to come back. They have a really solid beer selection, but the real winner is their cider--it's 8% alcohol, which is insane for a cider, but hey, I'm not complaining. They had the hockey game on, which I definitely appreciated, and they also have a pool table where you can write your name down to play. Not sure if there's a charge for that, but either way, it's a nice touch. They're open pretty late, and while the location doesn't have a bunch of other bars or spots around, the upside is tons of parking--which I totally love. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely recommend checking it out and maybe even making some new friends while you're there. (If you go in, tell the bartenders, I said hi)

Tonight completely ruined that impression. We arrived around 12:00 AM. At 1:20 AM, there was last call for drinks, which we understood and respected. We were sitting quietly with our group, not causing any disturbance, not bothering anyone -- just calmly finishing our cocktails. The bar is advertised as open until 2:00 AM. At 1:50 AM, a security guard approached us and began rudely and aggressively forcing us out. Not politely. Not professionally. Aggressively. We calmly asked for just two more minutes to finish our drinks -- our cocktails were still mostly full. Instead, the security guard: * spoke to us in a hostile and disrespectful manner * forced us out of the restroom, not even allowing us to use it * took away our cocktails before we could finish them * treated us as if we were doing something wrong, when we absolutely were not This behavior is completely unacceptable. There is no excuse for treating paying customers this way. If you want guests gone earlier, then don't say the bar is open until 2:00 AM. What kind of service is this? What kind of management allows security to behave like this? The entire mood of the evening was ruined. What should have ended as a relaxed night with friends turned into frustration and embarrassment. This was unprofessional, disrespectful, and left a very bad impression. Unless management seriously addresses how their security staff treats guests, I will not be returning -- and I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
