Like others said, the overall cleaning of my couch was good. However, both while booking and when the technician arrived, I let them know I had a time in which I needed to leave for work. I booked the earliest appointment which gave 2.5 hours to do my 5 seater couch and a rug. They state they give a 2 hour arrival window to account for traffic and previous appointments ending late, however, I booked the earliest time to avoid this. The technician only had time to do my couch before I had to leave to go to work and they let me know they would refund me for running out of time to do the rug. I reached out to them three times about this refund and each time they said it was refunded and it was not. We are now 4 months later and still no refund. Won't be using the service again as they insist you pay before they even to do the job. read more

While the actual cleaning of my couch and dining chairs was done well, the overall experience was very disappointing and upsetting. The technician spilled or dumped water on my wood floors and RH wool rug, then used an upholstery vacuum to clean it up, which scratched the floor and damaged the rug. He left piles of crumbs and wrappers behind instead of cleaning up after himself, and moved furniture without putting anything back. To make matters worse, he asked for a tip and a 5-star review before leaving, which made me very uncomfortable, especially as a woman alone in the home. I reported everything to management, and while they initially claimed they would address the damage and situation, they have since ignored my follow-ups. If you need a sofa cleaned I would definitely call NYC Steamers. For several years I used a competitor, but thought I would give NYC Steamers a try and am happy I did. They communicated prior to the appointment, arrived when they said they would, were considerate, not messy and did a great job. Their products are non-toxic so there was no chemical smell and my cream colored sofa is again clean! And by the way, prices reasonable. read more

Very odd company. I booked and no one showed up.. it took multiple attempts to reach someone to reschedule. Then they offered a discount for the no show and I had to follow up multiple times for it after they said they refunded me but did not. The cleaning was ok but the hassle about no show and lying about the refund is not worth it! read more

I would give this company NO STARS if I could. They reached out to me on Instagram trying to tell me They are a new company and would offer a discount. I told them that I would be interested and since I'm an influencer I offered to post for them on my social media so they said they would love that since they are a "new" business. They proceeded to set an appt and were adamant about the day so I rearranged my entire schedule and they NEVER SHOWED! When I contacted them, they told me that I didn't even have an appt, which was confirmed in the message thread and then they had the nerve to block me! I then called their phone number and the guy who answered tried to play dumb but the way I took the conversation confirmed that he was indeed who I spoke to. I would NEVER use or recommend this company. I even went so far as to look them up and there's another company with the same name which just confirms they are shady and trying to be an imposter. I was able to get an appointment quickly and they came on time. My couch had dog pee and water stains. Within about an hour they were able to get it all out. My couch dried quickly and looks brand new. I'm so happy with the results! read more

Would not recommend. Hired for LShaped couch cleaning- 20 hours later, despite windows open, couch still wet. Smells like dirty water/equipment was used for cleaning, has a smell now it didn't have before. read more

I highly recommend this company. Excellent work and very friendly and knowledgable people. NYC Steamers really saved my day today when a different company came to my home and tried to tell me that my carpet was so dirty that I needed an expensive deep power cleaning before they could steam clean it. I knew my carpet was not dirty and said I just wanted the basic steam cleaning package, and the other company just walked out on me after I had spent two days moving my furniture out of the rooms because I would not pay their up charge. When I called NYC Steamers I spoke with David who was very courteous and explained everything to me and said he would have someone at my house the same day. The technician Ari showed up perfectly on time as promised, was also very courteous and knowledgable, and my carpet looks better than I could have imagined. They called me an hour ahead of time to let me know that they would be there by 8:30. They arrived on time. They were prompt and courteous, and they did a great job cleaning my carpet. read more

Excellent experience with this company! I had found NYC Steamers on line. When I had called them a woman answered the phone her name was Jade, she set up an appointment for them to come out to my house. She was very polite and asked what works best for me and tried working with my hectic scheduled. I had initially called a different cleaning company to come out to clean my wall to wall carpet and 2 rugs. One of the area rugs had a chocolate pudding stain on it, and the other was a bit dirty. When they came out they wanted more money then i was quoted on the phone. The day before I got a call confirming my appointment for the following day. On the day of my appointment Jack the technician called me said he was on his way and is ruining late due to the traffic. He was 45 minutes late. Once Jack got to my house, I had explained to him what experience I had with the other company and that I was very disappointed that they wanted more money then they had told me it would be. Jack made me feel that there is nothing to worry about and he will get the job done. He explained the process and the chemicals he will be using and the time it would take. I must say he is very patient with me because I did ask a lot of question. He also explained and gave me tips on how to take better care of the area rugs, The job was done to my satisfaction. The area rug that had a stain form the chocolate pudding was gone. The other are rug that is in my hallway, stained came out and was brighter then I expected. I honestly did not think it would or could be removed due to the high foot traffic in that area. The only thing I was not happy about was that they were late but i guess things happen.
