We've been using Irene's Cleaning services for a bit now at our home and are very happy with their services. This week we had Janet and Sandy as the team and they did a wonderful job including in my daughter's room, which is always a challenge (baby dolls everywhere...so many baby dolls). The ladies were thorough and efficient. We regularly use this service in our three bedroom home that has two adults, one child, and three cats and they leave the home tidy and refreshed. Also- This is NOT a criticism as accidents happen but the handling deserves praise: several months ago with a different team, a cable in my husbands office was accidentally damaged during cleaning and the service was quick in their response remedy the error and it was handled professionally and quickly. Again, accidents happen, but the response was so professional and appreciated and we have never had an issue since. Would absolutely recommend! Especially if you have pets or kids :) read more

Irene's Cleaning did a great job deep cleaning my apartment after I moved in. The unit had not been professionally cleaned beforehand, and the team worked hard to get everything looking and feeling much cleaner. They were professional, punctual, and easy to communicate with. I noticed a big improvement in the overall cleanliness of the apartment. I would definitely use them again. read more

I highly recommend Irene's Cleaning. I've been working with them for years - they truly care about the quality of work and relationships with their clients. They're thoughtful, warm, exceptionally responsive, and incredibly flexible and collaborative to work with. As one specific example, I've had a few exceptional, extenuating scheduling challenges this year and every time, they've been exceptionally accommodating and understanding, which I've appreciated immensely. The cleaning itself is also top-notch -- thorough, consistent, and done with care. Also, it may sound small, but I love that the supplies are unscented or only mildly scented! Net - beyond the quality cleaning service, what really sets Irene's apart is integrity and conscientiousness. They consistently treat you and your home with the same respect and attention they would their own. Highly recommend! read more

Very happy with them. They do a good job! Very responsive, easy payment via Venmo/zelle

I have used Irene's cleaning a number of times throughout the past 5 years. They always do a great job, however, the quality will vary on the team of cleaners you get. The most recent team I received did an absolutely phenomenal job with great attention to detail. It was likely the best job any cleaning service has ever provided for me. They are dependable and arrive within the time they tell you they will. You do need to be clear with them about what you need done and how long it will take to get an accurate quote. I have always been quoted for two hours, and they have taken three and a half hours. It's not a big deal as they do an excellent job, but just something to be mindful of. I have used a number of cleaning services, but I tend to come back to Irene's due to their dependability and availability to come on short notice. Recommended to anyone looking for a reliable cleaning service in North Jersey. read more

Irene's Cleaning - Home Cleaning Near Me

I wish I had a before and after picture to show the transformation I just witnessed. Two ladies came to my home and worked their butts off for five hours making sure every corner of my apartment is clean and the attention to detail is just remarkable. You really know you're an adult when a clean household brings you this much joy. I requested a deep clean because our regular cleaners just weren't doing it so I found this business off a recommendation. I've never had someone come to do a deep cleaning but this was above and beyond my expectations. Every dusty baseboard corner, every crumb buried deep into in my rug that I accepted would never come out and questionable food my toddler smushed onto our floors was taken care of. The only picture I have is one I creepily took while they were cleaning showing just how much sh#t they found in the corners of our rooms. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. I work from home and the cleaners were super respectful of my needs since I had to be right in the middle of everything. We paid much more than we do for our other cleaners which made me hesitant at first but they spent the better part of five hours making sure that everything was cleaned. I don't regret this decision for a second. It's true that you get what you pay for and these ladies deserve every dollar coming their way. read more

I needed professionals for a post move-out cleaning and Irene's was the first to respond to my inquiry and had one of the most reasonable quotes. The cleaners were met with the challenge of working without electricity in the apartment and despite this, they exceeded my expectations. In 3 hours, the place was absolutely spotless, the walls, the closet, every nook and cranny you'd never know it was lived in once. 10/10 recommend. I don't know how I went without a cleaning service until now. I'm thinking of hiring one regularly. read more

I had a terrible experience with Irene Cleaning Service. We originally arranged for two cleaners, which they clearly confirmed -- but on the day of the appointment they showed up with only one and then flat-out refused to send the second person, completely going back on their promise. When I asked why, they didn't try to fix anything and instead basically told us to go find another cleaning service. What made this even more upsetting was that we had helped them in the past during their own scheduling issues, and despite that, Irene herself was shockingly rude when we tried to get answers. The whole situation was incredibly unprofessional, frustrating, and honestly unbelievable. Based on my experience, I strongly do not recommend this company. ( I would have selected 0 stars if that was an option) read more

Online quote said 2 hours, after the cleaners arrived they quoted 4 hours instead of 2. Spent maybe 3:45 hours cleaning our place. After the cleaners left I said 4 hours was too much, and they did eventually charge us for 2:30 hours. Our normal cleaners take 2 hours. read more

Fantastic service, great to communicate with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good cleaner

DO NOT USE!!! I was so excited to read all the great reviews...I am moving in; the place had been cleaned but wanted a deep clean. I asked to focus on oven, shelves, closets. It didn't look any different! I wiped a few things down and cleaned it up. I reached out to Irene and shared photos. She questioned everything. I paid Zelle and have no way to get anything back. BTW-Irene insisted on Zelle as the only form of payment! It says credit cards. HORRIBLE experience! read more

I've used Irene's Cleaning twice before my most recent service with them. My apartment needed some TLC and the team delivered and exceeded expectations! They are so accommodating, responsive, and just all around very thorough in their work. Most importantly, just a very kind and courteous team - qualities that we all look for in the customer service world. Additionally, I appreciate how patient they are. I can't recommend them enough, they are amazing! I very much look forward to booking a service with them again!! read more

Simply said " Stay away". "Pay in advance" and " Sorry but we need more time" are main things in the communication with these people. It is always more time than anticipated... The job that they did in my apartment could have been completed in 2 hours, but I was charged 5 1/2. After complaining got some refund, but no compensation for the damage to my fridge. Again, there was no effort to do the right job. I gave it 1 star because there was no option for NONE... read more

This was the second cleaning company I've used by way of Yelp recommendations! So glad I decided to give this project another try! They really did a great job! I called with a tight timeline for a deep clean. The process & services were explained to me clearly. Rates were reasonable and the service was great. Irene's cleaning did a deep clean of our home before we moved in. We had just recently gotten the floors done so there was fine dust around every nook and crannie. They did a great job leaving the place clean and they got every square inch of our house. Helped make the stress of moving a little less. read more

***DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.*** I've never even done a Yelp review before, I'm not that kinda guy. I tend to regard Yelp as too biased to trust cause people mostly only come on here to complain. But this was so bad IT FELT IRRESPONSIBLE TO NOT WARN PEOPLE! Shockingly, offensively, suspiciously bad service. For a number of reasons: They charge you a hefty deposit, which is weird but whatever, and then halfway through the job tell you you'll have to pay more, and if you don't pay them then and there they stop and leave your home half-cleaned. When I pointed out how uncool that this, they said it was in their "terms and conditions" they sent. All that would be sketchy on its own, but the sketchiness is only half the issue. I have an ailing, elderly pet that cannot handle harsh fumes. I told them this in advance. When they showed up, I told them where to clean and where not to clean, and what exactly I needed from them, then reminded them of my pet and to keep me in the loop on the process so I could move him to another room to prevent exposing him to any fumes. I left so they could use my parking spot, then heard from the company about their weird charge, so I went home to make sure priorities were taken care of first, because the company doesn't let you call the workers yourself. When I got there, the house was still filthy, one of them was cleaning out the inside of my air fryer for some reason (can I even use it now? What did they put in there???) and the other one was in an area I specifically asked them to wait for, blasting my pet with chemical fumes. They hadn't done anything I'd asked them to do, and only done stuff I specifically told them I didn't want them to do, including putting my pet's health at risk. And a good chunk of the house went uncleaned even after I corrected them and they worked the rest of their time. I'm trying to give the workers the benefit of the doubt, they seem like nice people. Maybe there was a language barrier, which would be fine! But then they should have just said they were having trouble following my English, cause I could've spoken Spanish with them. Either they didn't care to solve that problem, or they didn't care about my pet's health or my requests. Either one is lame, but the latter is real bad. So yeah. Bad service, badly managed, too expensive, untrustworthy, and overall bad experience. I am not just complaining, I am warning people. The company sucks, and the workers don't do great either. read more

SCAM. They charge a deposit up front then they get to the job and demand you make additional payment halfway though. At my job, I paid the deposit and they stopped halfway through and said they would leave if I didn't pay more money. I paid, then they stopped a second time and told me I actually had to pay $300 more for the entire job. It wound up being way more money than other services who quoted in a more straightforward fashion. Also they took an absurd amount of time to do the work. Go with someone who tells you the real amount they're going to charge. read more

For the first time since moving to Hoboken, I found a cleaning service that left my apartment sparkling! They went above and beyond, even cleaning the toaster and the microwave. I hired them because of the Yelp Guarantee and they had good reviews. They responded right away and scheduled me for the next day in a very simple process. Initially they did an adequate job of cleaning my unit. They did ask to be paid in full via zelle before the job was done as others have noted. They were high pressure about a deposit which I can appreciate because they might have been taken advantage in the past-- but I found it difficult. When I was able to get someone to go over to see their work, I identified some issues after I paid. They were eager to remedy the problems as soon as the front office became aware of them and they apologized. Their price was similarly competitive to a licensed and bonded service that I was comparing them to, but they came out sooner. After they fixed the issues, my property manager was very pleased with the service and found it to be much improved. The cleaning job after they fixed the issues was great. read more
