I've only used a professional cleaner once before, so maybe I misunderstood what to expect. That being said, I'm a bit confused by the experience. When I reached out to the business, the person I spoke to was responsive and very helpful. I was quoted $135 for the cleaning, including 2/3 bedrooms in the apartment, the kitchen, bathroom, and common spaces. I was told they could cover these areas within the 3-hour minimum. In the three hours the cleaner was there, she only cleaned the kitchen and one bedroom, leaving behind the second bedroom, common room, and bathroom. The cleaner did a good job, but I wish there was better communication about what to expect, or an option to extend the cleaning to cover the areas promised, even if it required more money. We chose Neva for their high Yelp and Google ratings, the fact that they're bonded, and their 100% satisfaction guarantee. It's safe to say that "under the table" cleaners may be cheaper, but they are never bonded, and they don't have a satisfaction guarantee. What's more, in our experience, they often cancel, sometimes without notice, and sometimes "disappear" when they get a higher paying customer. So when comparison shopping, you have to take that into consideration. A professional cleaning company like Neva definitely has some serious benefits that you can't overlook. Even just being bonded (i.e. if they accidentally break something, their insurance pays for it) is very important. But being reliable and having a satisfaction guarantee is very, very important. They performed the job to our satisfaction, and beyond. The woman who came today went above and beyond the call of duty and we were impressed with the work she did. She removed screens and cleaned behind them without us even asking, which showed a good eye for detail and a strong work ethic. Not terribly important, but the women were friendly and smiled. I know cleaning someone's house, which is always HARD WORK, at 9am is the last thing anybody wants to do, so it was a nice touch, and it was much appreciated. They were kind to our children, which is always super A+ for any parent. The company stands behind it guarantee, so honestly, I think Neva's reviews on both Yelp and Google are well-deserved. We were singularly impressed and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

The online quoting tool is extremely straightforward and transparent, as is the online booking and re-scheduling. My cleaner is very sweet and thorough, and extremely reliable. While it's not the very cheapest, you certainly get what you pay for in this area. They also offer a discount for recurring cleanings (weekly, biweekly, etc.). EDIT: i originally had intended to update my review because of the owner's reponse, however I've found that apparently if you give an honest review, you'll get your account suspended. I find this behavior extremely unprofessional and off-putting, considering I said nothing untrue about what happened. The service was great but not honoring my request to wear a mask in my home felt unreasonable to me, given that every other service that enters my home wears a mask, including delivery people *** I really appreciate the easy online booking process and straight forward payment process that Neva has set up. The associate staffed to clean our house, Tatiana, was really friendly and swift in her cleaning. The only thing that made me slightly uncomfortable was Tatiana's lack of wearing a mask. I did offer and ask if she wanted to wear a disposable mask which I had available but she didn't seem to want to, and since she was already at my home it felt awkward to try and force her to do this. Even though my partner and I are fully vaccinated, this still felt a bit unsafe and I'm not sure that I will use Neva Home Cleaning services again unless they can train their staff to wear a mask while on the job. 4 stars for a great cleaning job but I can't award more in all honesty with this safety concern. read more

I have been using Neva for about a year now, I've been using the same person the whole time. She is always on time and does a very thorough job, always. I do not like a lot of people coming in and out of my house, so I try to use the same person. However the last time I had to reschedule and my regular cleaner wasn't available. I had different cleaner, she also did an excellent job. I find the ownership to be very professional and accommodating. I would highly recommend Neva and have recommend to my daughter and friends. I've tried several cleaners in my area. I've now used Neva 3x, and really won't choose anyone else. We had different cleaners each time (Lena, Marina and Galena), but each time has been fantastic. Phenomenal service!!! I can't recommend Neva highly enough. The team has consistently done an amazing job with my apartment and their customer service is amazing. They are rapidly responsive and every cleaning attendant arrives promptly at the scheduled time. I am also able to easily use the online system or email service to reschedule. The pricing tool online is very straightforward and fair. An anecdote that will summarize your experience is that the cleaning attendant arrived this morning and mentioned that while my cleaning supplies are great, she wished that I had a different product to "really make the stove-top sparkle" as opposed to just perfectly clean.
