I believed I had established a good relationship with Antonio, NW Tech Experts supposed Outlook / Gmail expert. While I paid him $315 to update Windows 11 which was difficult because of my older hardware, it wasn't the initial reason for my call. My Outlook / Gmail issue was the reason I called which he never resolved. In the end, he shocked me by turning out to be terribly undependable. During his fix time, my all-important Address Book was lost and couldn't be found. I was eventually able to recover it myself and called him back to finish completing the setup. I left (5) voicemail messages to call me back, but he never did. (He had also told me he'd call me at 9am when he had to cancel our appt. When it got late and no call, I called him. He said he just woke up, that he'd call back in an hour because he needed his coffee first. He didn't think it would take long to fix. I had an appt that I ended up missing as I waited for him to call me back. Finally at 10:05am, and still waiting for his call, I ended up having to call him. It took him more time than he estimated and he never resolved the problem(s).) Finally I called NW Tech Expert and proceeded to leave them (3) messages explaining what happen and to please call me. I even asked on one message if Antonio was ok since I was surprised he never returned any of my calls. I've been waiting now for (3) days for them to call back and still nothing. It seemed they have both blown me off and I have no idea why. I believe you can now see that they are not trustworthy. Went to the website, saw the phone number, called it expecting to get an answering machine after 5 pm on a Friday night and my call was answered. We upgraded our Internet with Comcast and the xbox all of a sudden would not work. Comcast claimed it was something wrong with our xbox and we went down a long rabbit hole of trying to figure it out. This business saved me!!! I highly recommend! I'm a full time photographer. I started freaking out when I discovered that my external hard drive broke, and my cloud backup hadn't been backing up my external drive. All my images were lost and I was up against big deadlines. NW Tech Experts has earned 5 stars, maybe 6, for data recovery. Crashed 3.5" SATA drive from a Mac Pro: Another data recovery service claimed that they could perform what I learned later is known as a "raw recovery" in the trade (files not in original organization; have to open each one to learn what it is!) OR the reader heads could be rebuilt (which is akin to open heart surgery on a drive) with no guarantee of success ~at a cost $1995. No in between alternative! That diagnosis cost me $159. I decided to get a second opinion. Ben with NW Tech Experts examined the drive at no cost, after which he informed me that he could guarantee a complete recovery using specialized software and a few tricks he has learned over the years for a cost of just $200. Ben was completely successful and I am so grateful. I don't know if the other service was just trying to make money off of a non-techie (me) or if they are just not as technically sophisticated as Ben. But it doesn't really matter. By tech standars my computer is ancient (desktop Dell with Windows XP operating system). After a power outage, my router went belly up, and then the whole system (modem, router, Tivo, internet) went haywire. (I may have helped it along trying to "fix" it!) 6 years ago was my first time working with Ben at NW Tech Experts. It was related to a slow computer. 6 years later, different computer, I reached out to him again about checking out my computer that has been extremely slow. He sent out one of his technical experts who tested my hard drive and found that my hard drive had a billion "seek errors". It meant that my hard drive was in a pre-fail phase. The first attempt to fix it was to image/clone the hard drive and then install a new hard drive. I was going from 2 TB to 4 TB hard drive. Normally the software he uses, it works smoothly. But for some reason, my computer's hard drive and memory board created unusual challenges. We could not get the new hard drive to boot up. Then Ben came out and tried changing the configuration. It still didn't work. It was time for me to actually take the computer to Ben and have him work on it at his office. I am not sure how many hours Ben spent on my computer, but he tried about 20 different configurations and found a configuration that worked. I think part of the problem was going to a larger hard drive, which in most cases, wouldn't be an issue. For my computer, it was an issue. I picked up my computer yesterday and so far it is working great again and now I have double the space on my hard drive. I would like to say that Ben has the strongest work and business ethics. Although it took him many hours to fix the issue, he honored his initial cost to fix my computer. I'm not sure how many other companies would do that given how complex the issue was with my computer. Ben would not give up on my computer and kept assuring me my data was safe and I wouldn't lose anything. He was right. I highly recommend Ben's services.
