In an odd sort of way, it turned out my first choice wasn't my best choice!…read more I came across the listing and thought "OK - it's a little corny name, 'Those Tech Guys'" but honestly, if you hang around tech guys at all, you get it. I am far from a professional when it comes to IT installations, but I know enough to be dangerous. And after getting quotes to install ethernet in my 1980s circa home, one never wired for ethernet, one that just went through a significant renovation where I, in my supreme wisdom said "WiFi is great, now! Who need hardwires anymore?" was now faced with retrofitting several rooms and office with ethernet and said, this guy over here, the independent with a normal sounding company name, yeah - lets go with him! Mistake!! After schedule, and reschedule, and delays, and reschedule, we got nowhere with contractor number one. Meanwhile, Roberto and Peter at Those Tech Guys had patiently followed up several times, continued to be pleasant and professional, and AFTER I said no thank you I am going to go with someone else! So I made the dreaded call back - "So remember when I said if things change . . . " Peter was quick to jump on the phone, and walk me through things at every step. Gave me a highly competitive bid, and an install time of only a few days from when I called. They cam onsite, were clean courteous, and efficient. They played with my dog (I mean who doesn't love a bowling ball Staffy Bull Terrier mix?) and made light work of the install, and the final cost (with tip!) was even below the initial quote. This was made possible as Peter walked my home and together we found opportunities to do things more quickly, and save a few dollars along the way. In the end, I didn't choose Those Tech Guys first, but you should. No regrets here, other than I should have picked them first!

Costs: If you are upgrading your home network or other capability, and need to buy new/more gear, Shawn doesn't charge a markup on the equipment. In fact, once he's designed your solution he will provide you with links to the exact products required and let you buy them directly from the vendors if desired. Or he'll buy them himself and present you with the receipts. Hourly rate: With the skills Shawn possesses, his hourly rate is substantial. And it should be. However, you can still bring your project in at a very reasonable cost PROVIDED you can be a smart customer. By this I mean you must be clear on the capabilities you want to achieve--or at least be able to listen to Shawn describe what's possible and then make rapid decisions. If instead you want a lot of customer education, Shawn can do that too because he knows an immense amount about IT and can communicate effectively. However, it's a bit like paying for a neurosurgeon to teach you about the types of aspirin available to treat a headache. That doesn't make sense; get a nurse instead! In my case, my wife and I work from the house. My goals were to increase the reliability of our home network. We wanted better maintainability (so when the internet goes down I can rapidly identify the problem and fix it). We wanted better network security. I wanted to add a home security camera because of problems with car prowls, etc. And finally, I wanted to move our networking gear out of our super-hot furnace room to a cooler and cleaner location. This was a lot. Other vendors had previously failed to come up with an affordable solution--or any solution at all. Shawn showed us how to do it for a very reasonable sum. Once we had a plan, I was able to control costs by getting a carpenter friend to open up the wall and pull wires through to the new location for the gear. Shawn also kept costs down by allowing me to provide extra hands as he mounted gear on the wall, connected all of our wireless access points to the new console, etc. These steps all require two people. Shawn was willing to let me help and he even maintained a high level of wit and good-natured ribbing throoughout the long day of work. In sum: great outcome, great satisfaction, great price. A few other companies sent out employees to run estimates, but Mulitmedia Circuit and Systems responded very quickly and said they could confidently do the installation on the same visit. He came out as promised and very quickly finished the work. Kirill even offered to help with a few aesthetic issues he had noticed during the installation, such as removing an exterior, unused coax cable and also filling a hole in the siding that he had noticed. Multimedia Circuit and Systems was incredibly fast in both their response and the installation, and I plan to reach out again for help with some PoE camera installations. In addition to advising on the network, he also helped future-proof it a bit by running a few extra cables and he even setup a line to pull an additional cable through a particularly difficult section of the house should we need it in the future. He setup the cable terminations with the flexibility I needed as the physical location of our switch is still a little in flux. Overall, he was great to work with and did high quality work, consistently going above and beyond my expectations.

I contacted Alee with HiTek Telecom to get a quote on a complete network job for my home. Not only do my spouse that I work from home, but I also do a lot of photography and video that I transfer back-and-forth on my network and into the cloud. I was tired of poor and drop connections with my consumer level Wi-Fi system. In addition, I wanted a local security camera system that I can control without relying on a cloud service. After receiving a quote and agreeing on the scope of work, I scheduled the installation. Alee came out on time on the date scheduled and we walked through the plan of installation and confirmed what all my needs were. Alee and his team worked through the day and completed the install job in an incredibly professional manner. The installation and the cable runs, and all of the final product was exactly as described. After the install, Alee walked me through downloading all of the software that I needed, how to access and navigate the system, how to navigate and operate the security cameras, and ensure that everything was working properly. To be sure, this was a relatively large install for a residential application. I wanted ethernet drops in every room of my house, a new professional grade network cabinet, in-ceiling WIFi network, and a new suite of security cameras. I couldn't have asked for a better end product. I am quite pleased with the attention to detail of the install and making sure everything was perfect, workmanlike, and care was taken in my home. Alee came back out to adjust a couple of things for me after the fact and install an additional camera. Again, he was on time on the scheduled day. The workmanship was just as good and the communication has been stellar throughout. I truly can't recommend HiTek and Alee enough. Top-notch product and top-notch service.

Referred to Brock but never met him. He got my message while out of town and put his tech Scot on my case ASAP. The Peel company technician took on the task of remedying the dysfunction challenges I have had for five years, spending countless hours with email service provider techs, and also techs from the company who supports the email software I use. Bottom-line the Peel Tech representative really listened when I had something to say. Most importantly he got my email clients working one afternoon after years of working with others to no avail. We are not totaling out of the woods with every challenge but what an awesome and refreshing start. Peel Tech IT Services rules! We have a small office with a few computers and printers that needed networking. Automatic software updates were always knocking out the printer, scanner, or fax and we were running several different versions of windows. In comes Peel Tech to the rescue. They updated all of our software and made sure all of our peripherals worked seamlessly. They found an industry compliant solution for us for document sharing and made sure all of our billing systems worked on our network. I have to say I can't be more thankful to have found Zakk and his team of very skilled, helpful "tech support" guys. I've really hated going through the usual channels for my tech support. You also get routed to who knows where, and it can take hours to solve the issue. I own my own business and when my computer or wi-fi isn't working, this is a major issue for me and it's lost income. I don't live and work in the same area so dropping off my computer somewhere isn't an option for me. I've also never felt secure leaving all that personal information to the hands of people I've never come in contact with. So when I need it fixed, I need it now. I was struggling with a CRM solution for my business. After 2 days of frustrating conversations with the CRM providers help-desk, I gave up. They didn't know what they were doing. That's when I called Zakk at Peel Tech. Although not intimately familiar with my CRM provider, Zakk went above and beyond and opened his own account to test out the system on his own. Excellent company. Called their toll free number and was surprised to get a call back within 30 minutes and even better from the co founder Zakk. Although it was only a laptop that needed work, Zakk was at our house the same day to pick up the computer.Turn around time was extremely quick within 48 hours. Zakk charged a great price and offered great customer service. Much better than going to some of the big chain stores. He took the time to go over what was done and even advised me to call him directly if i had any questions related to the laptop. While finalizing school work my macbook completely stopped working after a recent update. The appointments available at the Mac store were scarce so I decided to try other options. I am so pleased with the attention and the service we got from them. Scot came and installed a new computer, transferred all the files, gave me a "lesson" on Windows 10 and all worked really well. Very professional. Had him come back a second time to help me load some software and to look at my husband's "freezing" computer. Peel Tech and Zain are amazing. I had lost 10 years of business contacts. Thought I was covered by Carbonite only to find out they didn't back up Outlook contact files. Zakk at Peel Tech is awesome! From start to finish, he helped us procure and set-up a home cloud-based management system for all of our data, photos and videos for all our devices. Peel Tech is the best! I was totally freaked out when all my Outlook data disappeared--emails, calendar, contacts.This of course happened at the end of a business day. Brock was immediately responsive and arranged for a tech to help me at 7:00 that night. While I paid him $315 to update Windows 11 which was difficult because of my older hardware, it wasn't the initial reason for my call. My Outlook / Gmail issue was the reason I called which he never resolved. In the end, he shocked me by turning out to be terribly undependable. During his fix time, my all-important Address Book was lost and couldn't be found. I was eventually able to recover it myself and called him back to finish completing the setup. I left (5) voicemail messages to call me back, but he never did. (He had also told me he'd call me at 9am when he had to cancel our appt. When it got late and no call, I called him. He said he just woke up, that he'd call back in an hour because he needed his coffee first. He didn't think it would take long to fix. I had an appt that I ended up missing as I waited for him to call me back. Finally at 10:05am, and still waiting for his call, I ended up having to call him. It took him more time than he estimated and he never resolved the problem(s).) Finally I called NW Tech Expert and proceeded to leave them (3) messages explaining what happen and to please call me. I even asked on one message if Antonio was ok since I was surprised he never returned any of my calls. I've been waiting now for (3) days for them to call back and still nothing. It seemed they have both blown me off and I have no idea why. I believe you can now see that they are not trustworthy. Obviously if they find your task too difficult for them to solve, they'll easily abandon you without a word!

I didn't have the…read moreequipment, skill, or confidence to drill into brick so what would have taken me the better part of a day to do shoddily (probably) was completed in just over 90 minutes and looks great! Mike was super communicative, responsive, and honest about what the pricing would be. And the two people sent to do the installation (both named Jarrod!) arrived within the window I was given a call when they were about 20 minutes out. The Jarrods were friendly, efficient and offered advice when asked. Because it was being mounted to brick and an outlet wasn't exactly close (not to mention a bulky extension cord thrown into the mix) the best I could have hoped for was for all the wires to be maybe bundled kind of neatly, but they damn near concealed them completely! (they also bundled any excess cord nicely behind the television). It was such a great, low-stress experience and I would totally hire them again! Few things to note: - Most of the communication was handled through Angi via text message. - I had my own mounts, but I think they can supply them as well. (I would double-check on this one) - The labor was charged hourly with a 2 hour minimum. - The cable covers on the wall were an extra charge. Given how well he did with the wiring issue, I asked Jhonata to tackle problems I was having with home WiFi. Some computers and printers/scanners were not being "recognized" on WiFi or were inconsistent. This was driving me nuts and made the WiFi next to useless for file sharing and printing. Jhonata did a deep dive on my systems and connections, even taking one computer to the B11 lab for analysis, scrubbing, and reinstallation of files and apps. He did not quit until he had diagnosed and resolved all the problems. He ended up installing a new mesh router and some new high-speed cables, and removing Norton 360, which was the source of many of the blocking issues. The computers, printers/scanners, and WiFi are working great, now. And the speed of the system is amazing. I cannot recommend B11 Tech Solutions enough. Jhonata is deeply knowledgeable about technology and just loves it. He pursues a problem until he finds a solution, no matter how complex. What I learned from that experience I was able to use to set up my parents network. The second was when I mentioned to him a few months later how tired I was of seeing ads pushed to me on my computer. He showed me how to download and install a host file and reduced my annoying banner ads by 95%. The interesting thing was that my computer is now operating faster because it doesn't have all that ad cluttered bandwidth to process. I was also able to test this when I went to my parents in France and used their ancient Wireless G Apple network without the ads. A third time was when I was wanted to set up dedicated phone lines for my QuickBooks and Quicken set up, review, training, and troubleshooting business in Seattle. He told me about an affordable device on Amazon that uses the Internet, helped me buy it, sign up for a very inexpensive monthly charge ($1.49 a month and 2 cents? a minute, much less than having Century Link or Comcast), and configure the lines. Now when line 1 rings, I know it is from my Craig's List ads and for line 2, I know the call is from someone who saw my profile on Yelp (rhymes with whelp). Using these lines has improved my marketing. So when I have questions about upgrading my computers, networks, what to buy, and what to avoid, he is my reliable go to guy.
