Most of my life I went to the same optometrist, but I recently switched and came here - despite the far commute - because of the raving reviews. And let me tell you it was better than I expected. The office is so clean and organized, the staff is super friendly and welcoming, and everything is quick and painless. Dr. Kabir not only is conscious of your time, but is easy to talk to. My eyesight is pretty bad, so when I ask questions about my prescription, lasic surgery, etc., he answers them nicely and in a way someone who has not studied optometry can easily understand. Yelda, at the front desk, is a wizard when it comes to picking frames. Of course, she does much more than that, but picking my new frames are the most overwhelming part and she somehow always knows the right fit. I've always had trouble picking the correct frame for my face, she helps me pick a frame in about five minutes. As I said my eyesight is horrendous, so my lenses have always been extremely thick/ reflective in someway. She told me about a new technology they had for lenses, where they shave it down and have a non-reflective coating. Not only do I love my special-edition, Versace frames, but I now feel comfortable wearing my glasses knowing that I won't look like an 80-year-old librarian. Lastly, I've also never been completely comfortable in sunglasses, because I feel they make my face look too round. Yelda fit me in the flyest pair of trendy Raybans & I couldn't be happier. This is absolutely our go to for glasses. They are so quick, friendly, and have a great selection. I was able to choose two pairs of glasses and get them ordered within about 20 minutes. Their prices are very fair and we've always had great customer service. I truly liked the doctor that did the exam. Felt he was knowledgeable and professional as well as friendly. I have had to go back several times for adjustments for these glasses to fit properly. They are heavier than what my previous glasses were but I see better with the wider lenses and like the color of the frames. My husband & I have been going to Dr. Fahim Kabir for the past 2 years since we moved to Vacaville. He's been a great optometrist for us! They accommodate Saturday appointments and are always on time when we check-in. The wait time is never long and their medical equipment is up-to-date. I'm so glad Dr. Kabir doesn't have to use that machine that blows air into my eye to check the eye pressure. He uses a laser machine feels less invasive. They have many options too for frames and lenses. I recently got new frames (Kate Spade) from them and it only took about 1 week to receive it. They also provide free shipping to your home as well. There are so many positive things I have to say about my visit today. I'm going to start by saying that HANDS DOWN THE BEST IN VACAVILLE! I've been to a few optometrists in the area and appreciate the level of professionalism, service, product and value this location has to offer. I was originally going to go to my usual eye doctor but she had no open slots available and basically told me she cannot help me because my prescription was out of date and I'd have to wait and schedule an appointment. No one likes to be told they cannot be helped, so it was on to the next. I never realized stumbling upon these awesome reviews and giving Dr. Kabir's office a call would be the next best thing! Literally. When I called to see if they had any openings I was kindly told by the receptionist Charlene, they had a few! *stoked* I made an appointment and was set to go. Might I add this is on a busy Friday afternoon so you could understand how relieved I was upon receiving the great news . I got there in time to sign two quick forms and was then greeted by Dr. Kabir. Through out the entire visit he was very patient, understanding, informative and expressed genuine concern for my needs. The eye exam went by rather quickly, and it's amazing how much he knew about what to recommend for my eyes. He threw in two trial pair of contacts from different brands, two contact lenses cases and a travel sized cleaning solution! Then came the funnest part of all! "Eye" went crazy trying to find the perfect pair of glasses. Crazy in the most wonderful way possible!! I felt like I was in eye candy heaven. They carry the widest variety designer frames I have ever seen in an optometry office. To name a few that I was gagging over: Valentino, Versace, Prada, Karl Lagerfeld, Gucci, Marc by Marc Jacobs, and many many others you can spend all day in here trying to narrow your choices down to one. So good luck with that. I ended up getting a sassy pair of black Versace frames with gold tone cone studs near the hinges. Ugh, I cannot wait till they're in. And cannot wait to drill another hole in the bank to get the other glasses I've been "eyeing" and trying on. This has got to be the longest review I've written, but it just goes to show that they are a set of wonderful people who genuinely care about helping you get what your eyes deserve. We brought my son in about 2 weeks ago for an eye exam for contacts, this is not the first time we have gone there and my son has been wearing contacts for at least 6+ years now. We have purchased contacts through them on a few occasions. So we take him to get his new prescription and exam done and the Dr gave us a prescription for glasses and not contacts, he obviously came in with contacts, would have had to remove the contacts in order to do the exam so why would we want a prescription for glasses. Then after we tried to get contacts elsewhere and then finding out that it was a glasses prescription, they wanted to charge us $60 for another exam when they were the ones who screwed up to begin with. This was that last straw and the last time we will ever use this horrible company!!! read more

I tried to make an appointment with my regular Dr. But there was no eye appointments for 3 months . So I called around and was able to come here within a day and a half. Great as my old prescription wasn't working anymore. I get seen on my appointment day. The staff was very friendly and the Dr. was nice also. My suspicion was correct and I definitely needed new glasses. There is a ton of new frames to choose from. The staff was patient with me as I tried on 10 plus frames until I finally settled on The One. I received my new prescription glasses within 4 days. Dr. Kabir and his support team are fantastic. I went in for a routine annual eye exam initially back in 2015, ordered my eyeglasses and contacts, and was on my merry way. Little did I know what 2016 had in store for me. Mid-way through the next year, I started experiencing eye pain, sensitivity to light, blurred vision--basically, the unholy trinity of eye issues. I approached my family physician first and was told it was probably just allergies. After a month and a half without notable improvement, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kabir, who quickly identified the real issue: an abrasion on my cornea. He prescribed medication, and my symptoms quickly vanished. But then they came back. Again and again. In one eye, then the other. Rarely did a week go by in the next six months where I didn't experience some sort of eye discomfort. Dr. Kabir was incredibly understanding and attentive throughout this ordeal. He tried a variety of different approaches to address the issue(s), and even referred me out to a medical doctor who specializes in eye problems. His willingness to see me on very short notice whenever I had a reoccurrence of pain was appreciated, and he even checked up with me personally by phone and email to get an update on my situation. It's been a couple of months now where I've been pain-free in both eyes, and I have no doubt this is due in large part to Dr. Kabir's diligent treatment. Never once did he make me feel like I was being a nuisance for having to be seen so frequently. And I appreciate his willingness to refer me to another specialist to get an additional opinion when some of the treatment options we initially tried didn't seem to be fully working. His office is also well-maintained, the other staff are polite, knowledgeable, and friendly, and they have a wide selection of frames to choose from if you're looking to purchase new eyeglasses. So happy I found this place through Yelp! Best optometry experience I have ever had. They have a beautiful, new & clean office in the nut free shopping center. Dr Kabir and his exam were wonderful! He was very friendly & informative. He really took the time to answer my questions, ask me questions & it felt he truly cared about you. I have been having problems with headaches and burning eyes. No other doctor had really cared too much about the issues I was having. Dr Kabir ran numerous tests to see what could be causing this for me - such as checking my focus & eye moisture. Dr Kabir gave me a sample of some wonderful eye drops, gave me some tips to prevent eye strain & prescribed me a new light prescription to use when reading and on the computer. It was a very thorough exam as well, I was there for an hour. Dr Kabir is very knowledgeable, friendly and you feel he is truly concerned about you. I was very happy with the exam itself and the level of customer service I received. Yelda is wonderful as well! She helped me pick out some new frames that would fit my face & look good on me. As other yelpers have said, she was not pushy at all & it was like having your own personal shopper. She and Dr Kabir made sure the pair I chose would work best for me! As others have mentioned, they have all the designer brands- the biggest selection I have ever seen!! It was hard to pick just 1 with all those options. I finally chose a pair of cute Juicy Couture frames. There prices were very competitive as well. After my insurance I only had to pay $5 for the frames. They also helped me choose the best lens coating for my needs. They were both so friendly! I felt very welcome there. I even made an appointment for my husband to come in for an exam next week. Even tho Vacaville is a fairly good size town and I'm sure they get business from residents outside of Vacaville, they still always remember your name. Excellent Service! The one on one customer service was top noch! When I go to these places I expect explanations, and breakdowns especially regarding insurance and what I'm paying for out of pocket. Many times people have been too busy or are not knowledgeable of the different insurance breakdown. However Katrina was amazingly competent, knowledgeable and really friendly. She was on it with all three of our different prescriptions. She gave it to us straight and clear and I SO appreciated the easy break down. The additional 20% discount on private pay with my prescription sunglasses was a plus. I didn't get to experience the doctor but my girls said he was great. read more

What an amazing experience. I had to make a yelp account just to review them! My husband and I were fit in the same day we called. As soon as we walked In we were greeted by the sweet receptionist; she gave us some quick paperwork to fill out and as we were she came over and gave our toddler a big box of toys and coloring books to play with. Their equipment is by far the most advanced I've seen in vacaville (been here for 24 years). Dr. Kabir was very kind, knowledgable and patient with us; He answered all of our questions and did very thorough exams on my husband and I both. The dr. Even found a mistake in the previous prescription I had from a different office (it was way too strong) and showed me where they had gone wrong by testing my eyes. I finally enabled vision insurance with my employer and we were very interested in getting some basic tests done as we moved to Vacaville 8 months ago. Dr. Kabir and his staff were knowledgeable, friendly, timely, interesting and both of my kids and my wife were generally comfortable once we had arrived. It is a small shop, but the service covers everything from kids to adults and my 4 year old got some new glasses and is very happy so that makes mommy and daddy happy of course. Dr. Kabir and his staff immediately put us at ease with his mannerisms and presentation while remaining passionate about his practice. A super clean facility located smack in the middle of the Nut Tree Shopping Center. Oh, did I mention that his staff looked up our complete cost and deductible and knew what a zero-cost set of glasses were upon our first arrival (I had verbally disclosed the insurance company when I called to make the appointment)? First of all, I'd like to say sorry to all the other optic places, it is such a shame that a new place like this will do you business that is over the top and better than all the other optic places including the big chain one. Lets talk about the service: The moment I walked in, I was greeted by this good looking optician named Yelda. I can say that you'd need glasses if you don't agree with me when you get there and greeted by her. Alright, we're talking about the service, thats right. The service is comparable to a trip to Disneyworld on a Christmas morning after opening your gifts like maybe a brand new car. Truth be told, my smile yesterday getting my glasses transaction was bigger than Joker's smile. Yes, it was that awesome. Yelda suggested different frames that she thinks will definitely suit me. She gave me the freedom to get out of my comfort zone when it came to choosing which frame should I get. She didnt force me to do this or do that or take this or take that, and thats how I think it should be. When I was there yesterday with Yelda, a male doctor was talking to some clients and I can tell those clients had their share of fun too and awesome experience. One of them got thirsty and Yelda handed an unopened bottle of water too! See?? They treat you not as customers, but as guests. Theres always a fine line between the two and I'd love to be treated always as the latter. I havent even come to the part of this review where I talk about their selections. Oh well, they got a brands that mostly optic places dont carry such as Dragon. Hello there Genentech people! I know you love Dragon brand! Who doesnt?! Anyways, I got myself a Gucci one and she looked into my benefits and coverage and gave me the breakdown like what any optic places do, and I saw my total and Im like "What?!! Thats awesome!
