TFO has consistently done a great job conducting business. I started my care with them in 2020 and went elsewhere a couple years later, not fault to them. Recently I called them about repairing the glasses I originally got from them because my current eye doctor couldn't help me. I returned to TFO and asked if them could help, they didnt have the same glasses in stock but they were able to repair the glasses with a good attitude. Carla did a great job doing some research and paying attention to detail. I am back at the office for my annual eye exam and looking forward to another positive experience. read more

At first I went and picked my glasses from travis family optometry.Went home , I couldn't read well using this glasses, I was seeing brurry and shaky images . Going back to see if there was anything they can do, the Doctor was so rude and mean to me. Just asking if there's anything they can do ,he never gave me an opportunity to even say anything. He was so arrogant. Staffs were so nice except this specific doctor. If that's the service you give to others, am sorry you're not agood person. Went there on March 3rd 2025 at 5:30 pm. I think you serve people based on the way you see them which is not good. read more

Dr Hsiao is an amazing eye doctor, and all his staff are great! I was diagnosed with retinal detachment, and Dr Hsiao immediately contacted Retinal Consultants, and was able to connect me with their specialists that same night, and had my surgery done immediately. read more

This office knows what they're doing. They have the latest machines to test your eyes and are knowledgeable. That being said, I ordered a pair of sunglasses over three 1/2 weeks ago and have not received them yet. I called them two weeks after I had ordered the glasses and they said they would call me the middle of the following week because that's eyeglasses should be ready. The lab they ordered the glasses from didn't do the job properly and it had to be redone. I didn't get a phone call, I'm going to follow up today to find out what's happening. Update...the sunglasses came out great! read more

I had the pleasure of going to this fine business and although they were extremely busy, I felt valued as a customer. Carla assisted me with getting my child some glasses and wasn't pushy with upselling. She was very pleasant to work with and treated my daughter and me like family! read more

Excellent customer service. The ladies in the front are very professional and helpful. The doctor listened to all of my concerns and gave reasoning to my issues along with showing me images of the eyes with in depth explanations . Office is extremely clean with a wide variety of frames to choose from. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. Over all, this place is amazing. I have found my family optimists and would highly recommend. read more

I love this office. Me & my sons have been coming here for years, and we would never go anywhere else.

Horrible experience Thursday and Friday, lady at the front counter who was apparently in charge at the time super unprofessional/mouthing off/ smart alec etc & in my opinion I think was being racially bias towards me. Pretty much told me we don't care if you never come back we gain 5 more customers anyways and also told me something was gonna cost after I was just told that there would be no charge and just let me assume a false perception and was just rude on top of rude. REACHING OUT TO DR HUEY THAT LADY IN THE OFFICE SHOULD NOT BE DESERVING OF A JOB THE WAY SHE HANDLES SITUATIONS AND APPARENTLY A CERTAIN RACE OF PEOPLE. read more

I purchased a pair of safety glasses, the frames were chosen from their safety glass section...I paid full price and waited...and waited...and waited, finally a call! Your glasses are in (it had been close to 4 weeks since my purchase) then was told, but we have to schedule you an appointment to pick them up...3 days later I arrived for my appointment. The young girl brought them out, I tried them on...and I could not see out of them! The attendant said "oh you must have a new prescription" no, her take my glasses (old ones) and check, she did, same prescription.....and now it begins. Me "I'll just get my money back" - Attendant "no the doctor is the only one who can do that"... Me " OK, get him.. only to be told I would have to make another appointment to see this "doctor"....well folks...I haven't gotten my money back yet but believe me....I WILL! I work hard, very hard as do so many of you, but they failed...if you sell a service, deliver on it...don't play games.....I ain't got the time! read more

I had such an amazing experience here with my kids. We've been coming here for a while but my most recent experience was so amazing I have to go ahead and write a yelp review. My daughter (7) has once again for the 3rd time this year lost her glasses. So I called and came in and picked out some cute frames for her. I was kind of panicking because the first day of school started the next day. I had procrastinated in getting new lenses for my daughter because she kept losing them. The lady who helped me said if they had the lenses there she can have it cut for me by the time they closed. I was shocked! I couldn't be more thankful!! Sure enough they had her glasses cut and ready by 6pm that same day!! Btw I came in at 4 pm! I think the lady's name is Jenny. Such an amazing experience! read more

I have had a terrible experience since my 1st appt here. The front desk staff member that helped me, had me totally confused when explaining contacts lense purchases. Then while waiting on samples to come in, I called 3 weeks later and 3 days in a row someone was to call me back with an eta and that never happened. To top it off my husband called and a staff member told him my contacts were there, I go in to pick them up and they can not find them anywhere...Just never had such horrible service. Been wearing glasses for 30yrs and this was my 1st time trying to get contacts. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

I am updating my review as of 12/24/2020. The staff here were very helpful and flexible during the holiday season. I was able to pick up my contacts even when they had trouble with their system. Within a week, the lady at the front desk and who was helping me over the phone, had ordered my contacts and I picked them up today! I am very appreciative and will be coming back to order glasses next year! Thanks Travis Family! read more

This is the best please for great customer service, selection and timeliness. I broke my glass frames and came in to get them repaired. Jenny was very friendly and patient and helpful in trying to get them to its original state. She's a lifesaver. Glad that I've been with you guys for the last three years. read more

Love these guys! Started seeing Dr. Huey and Dr. Hsaio when they were on Travis AFB. Their exams are thorough and they explain things to you clearly. Their pre-screening and exam equipment seem to be up to date and my prescriptions always turn out well. They are great with kids and my son has been going there since he was about 4. The office is clean, organized, and well-staffed. I believe they do take walk-ins but they are usually pretty booked so I always schedule an appointment. They take me and my wife's VSP benefits and also Tricare when I was military. Eyewear selection is not the largest and I usually have a hard time finding glasses there as I'm kind of picky but they will order any frame you see somewhere else if you provide them the info. Frame price is in-line with their competitors and they have frames at every price point it seems. I typically spend a little more to get anti-reflective coating and their lenses are decent quality. My old glasses from them are still in great condition. They are located in the Raley's shopping complex so there is typically plenty of parking. Overall, I would highly recommend them for eye exams and glasses. read more

I finally changed from glasses to contacts and on my first order, the doctor said it would take 3 to 4 days. Here we are a week later and I had to call for an update and they just said that it will be then end of this week or probably next week. Seriously, you couldn't call me to update me? Why wait until I call? Why not update the patient as soon as you know its late? The doctors are very knowledgeable and great at what they do but the office... they need help! read more

Im having a bad experience this year , first of it took 2 weeks for my trials to come in and staff never called me regarding this , i was waiting for them to call me to find out they just forgot to call . 1 week after , i asked for a new set of trials and they said they can order me one asap . 1 week after noone called again to follow up on me . I called them and nothing was ordered from last week so they will call me to update me with anything , i called them 2 days after and they said they ordered some new one , but 1 pair didnt come in and 2 days after they called to say my new trials are here . And then when i went to pick them up , they couldnt find it and gave me something close , my power is negative 8 and they gave negative 2 , why is it a trial then , how are we all gonna know if this is the right brand and power and everything like really? , coming from an optometry ? First and foremost, I absolutely love that they offer appointments on Saturdays! My weekdays are packed, so I ultimately chose this optometry office because of the Saturday appointment option (and Yelp reviews). I recently started seeing Dr. Huey for my annual vision exam and follow-up on my chronic dry eye (which was diagnosed, maybe 10 years ago, by my former optometrist). Initially, it felt like he was a bit standoff-ish and felt like he didn't really want to be there, but things improved a little while after my visit started. He listened to my concerns, answered my questions, and even gave me a more than generous sample of contact lenses to test out before making my decision. The front staff are very friendly, caring, and helpful! After my exam with Dr. Huey, one of the gals helped me pick out a cute pair of glasses with the exact print I was looking for! I wanted to try something new, in regards to the frame for my glasses, but I wasn't quite sure what would look great with my face shape; however, I knew I wanted leopard/cheetah print on my frames. After a little while of searching and trying a few frames she selected, she picked out the perfect glasses for me. On the day I picked up my glasses, I had a super rough day, which one of the staff members picked up on. She gave me words of encouragement, which came at the best timing. I really appreciated that. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the service I receive here. The staff and optometrists here are wonderful! read more

I have been with Travis Family Optometry for years and typically I just call to order my contacts as long as I've completed my annual eye exam. I told my daughter so that she could do the same thing. Just call and order contacts. When she took her exam this year the Dr. told her she can come in anytime before the year ends for contacts OR glasses. NOW my daughter is told she has to do a fitting which was not done at the exam and she has to come in for another appt. I am really dissatisfied with the way they handle things differently with her and the contradiction between office staff and the Dr. People are busy and if you go to your eye exam we shouldn't have to keep on coming in for fittings, DO IT THE FIRST TIME we come in for our exam....My daughter has had contacts before, she knows how to put them in, so NOT sure why office staff says one thing and the DR. another but it is disappointing. read more

I love this place!! Dr. Hsiao and Dr. Huey are amazing! They are both very knowledge and very thorough when checking the health of your eyes. Dr. Huey checked my eyes and saw that there was a shadow in on of my eyes and checked thoroughly by taking several tests with different equipment to make sure it wasn't anything I had to worry about. I have been coming here for the past 3 years and will continue to be a loyal patient. They recently remodeled and the office looks great and they are always up-to-date with the newest eyewear. The glasses I bought last year were made for me! I've never been 100% happy with the final outcome of my glasses until I came here. I have a very strong prescription so my lenses are ALWAYS super thick (think bottoms of coke bottles), I have a flatter nose so it makes it difficult for glasses to stay on the bridge of my nose and I've been wearing faux eyelashes for over 9 years, which makes it difficult to find the perfect pair because they always hit the lenses, but after years of searching I found them here. I ALWAYS get complimented when wearing them so I truly believe the most pickiest person could find their perfect pair here! They have very high-end frames to reasonably priced ones. They also have a great sunglass selection as well. Thank you Dr. Hsiao and Dr. Huey for being awesome optometrists and for always having an amazing friendly staff. read more

This was my first time here, and definitely won't be my last. Friendly (and very patient) staff along with a clean environment! Dr. Hsaio was really helpful and also answered all my questions. This provider accepted my new vision insurance. I've been going to one optometrist for over a decade but they haven't taken my insurance in years. I initially found an eye doctor close to work. Never again there. We recently changed carriers at work, so I looked online to see who would be closer to my home. Not only did they have Saturday appointments, they were less than 2 miles from my home, got us an appointment quickly. When we first arrived, everyone was very friendly. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Huey reminded me of my original optometrist, only younger. He communicates well and gives you all the options available. One of the ladies checked my plan, and there was a spin rack of frames, that if I chose from them, would be 100% covered and there wouldn't be any out of pocket cost. What a great option. I was very impressed. My daughter was treated with respect, which is important to me. I can definitely say, I will gladly return to this office and I believe we've found our new optometrist, hopefully for years to come. I will gladly recommend them to friends as this is what customer service is all about. So many companies lack the basic customer service skills. This office works as a team, provides good, quality service and is leading by example! read more

Staff (including doctors) are super friendly. They have a larger selection of sun and prescription glasses (I love their designer frames!). Very affordable glass and contacts. The longest I've ever waited for my glasses to arrive is five business days. All in all my family and I have been coming here since they first opened. A great place for patients of all ages including children. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an eye doctor in the area. read more

High level of care, everyone on the phone and in the office is very friendly and helpful. I'm impressed with the level of care/diagnostics/machines. I saw Dr. Huey today for my annual eye exam. It was my first time being seen at this office, and I found him through the in-network provider list I received from my insurance company. He and his staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They have all the latest technology, so I was able to have quick and easy Optomap retinal photos instead of the hassle of dilating my eyes. I had a very thorough eye exam and contact lens fitting. His office was very busy but I didn't have to wait at all. I was able to have my eye exam, contact lens fitting, and order a new pair of glasses all within an hour. They accept my insurance (VSP), so it was very inexpensive for the exceptional service I received. It was also really convenient to be seen on a Saturday. I will definitely be back for my exam next year, and would absolutely recommend seeing Dr. Huey and his staff for your next eye exam. read more
