This is the most welcoming doctor's office I have ever been to. I was able to be seen quickly , which was a pleasant surprise . I am used to waiting a month or more for an appointment, so the flexibility they offer , especially when emergencies arise , is greatly appreciated . The entire staff is friendly , patient and informative . It was refreshing to have my questions answered thoughtfully instead of an "I don't know" and with an attitude that made me feel like I was inconveniencing someone.Exceptional customer service seems rare these days, and this office truly stands out. Just spent $250 on glasses and went to pickup and get fitted. Put them on and everything was blurry. Ask for refund and they said No. Come back in a week. I've been a long time patient here but the business has really gone down hill over the years. Front desk staff was difficult to work with when ordering my son's contacts a few months back; the entire process was like pulling teeth with miscommunication going back and forth but I overlooked it. Now there's consistently a 15-20 minute wait just to be seen. I understand being short staffed but let your patients know ahead of time if you're running chronically late or space patients out also. I was previously seeing a different optometrist in the area for a few years; however, since I saw that Solano Eye Care provides treatment for dry eyes I decided to start going here. The staff are quite friendly and knowledgable. I was evaluated by Dr. McKenzie, who understood the various treatment options for my chronic dry eye syndrome. I was thankful that she explained to me one of the causes of my chronic dry eye syndrome (which was never done with my past couple of optometrists). She gave me a great treatment plan that has improved most of my dry eye symptoms. The other staff were quite knowledgeable about what my insurance covered and what wasn't covered, which gave me the opportunity to make various choices for my contacts and glasses. Overall, I'm quite happy with the eye care I've received here. I decided go bring my Grandson here, since we live close by. We have been here three times. It has been a good experience EXCEPT when it comes to the purchase eye wear department. Kerry the person that has helped with the eye glass purchasing, she is very impatient, short in her conversations, she gets uneasy when you ask her to repeat what she's just explained to you. I dread it when it's time to deal with her. I'm hoping they will read this review and talk to her about it. We will go one more time and see how it goes. I was in a panic; I found my reading prescription r glasses outside of my car. One lens was out of the frame, the frame was mangled, probably someone had stepped on the glasses. I called Solano Eye Care and spoke to Viry. She calmly told me to bring my glasses in, and because it was Saturday I might have to wait. I dashed over and did have to wait -- about 7 seconds -- before being helped by Viry. She took my glasses went in the back. She worked on them for about a half hour. Solano Eye Care is a very comfortable place to wait. When she came back-- my glasses were good as new. She then announced that there would be no charge for her work. She then calmly and expertly gave me some very good advice about lenses. I could not ask for better service. read more

It was that time once again to have the "windows to the soul" checked out. However this was my first time at the optical practice of Dr Anzalone. I first was assisted by (Jennifer) who was helping with the routine vision test due to another person being out of office that day. She was absolutely great, easy to talk with and very personable. A great asset to have working there for sure! Next I was seen by Dr Esver, who did the standard vision test to see if you vision rating, aka 20/20 and see if there are any changes in vision to update lens strength if needed. She also strongly suggested I have my eyes dilated to thoroughly check the eyes of any abnormalities or general health of both eyes. I was extremely reluctant to have this procedure done. This was due to the fact, the last time I elected to have it done they put some type of numbing drops in my eyes first. Wooooah! For me, such an extremely uneasy feeling! I could not "feel my eyes" when I blinked and that disconnect made for a lightheaded dizzying feeling that could make you pass out. After a brief discussion I'd call it..Dr Esver would differ lol, she explained the numbing drops wouldn't be needed and it would be only a slight sting in which she equated to chlorine in a pool. Long story short, it was not remotely the same experience at all. Just made everything blurry and the light extremely bright which is normal. After all it is a good thing to have done to see the entire eye and have a baseline of the eye health to follow. I recommend having it done. Lastly I saw Dr Anzalone who was personable and thorough in her work. She took the time to get to know me briefly and explained all things in easy to understand terms. She also went over the detailed pictures of my inner eye and explained its anatomy as well. She is a very professional person who is the antithesis of dry and stiff! Great eye contact and not afraid to smile! I would highly recommend this optical practice to anyone as my experience was flawless. I ask a ton of questions to understand everything that is being done or said to me and was met with consideration and complete answers with not feeling rushed or cutoff by any of the 3 women I was in contact with. read more

I have been to Solano Eye Care years ago and again recently for annual check ups. If there is one thing I observed, it is the unchanging friendly customer service and informed knowledge. There are more options in town, but I would favor this place as my first pick. The parking lot may look small, but there is actually a lot of room. You might have to walk a little further way if the other local businesses are busy as well. The office itself is probably the smallest I've ever been to. Although size isn't everything and can be deceiving. The staff and their routine in getting the work done is efficient while having a smile on their face. This year I had the pleasure to have my appointment with Dr. Diez. She really is such a wonderful practicing Optometrist. If there is anything a patient will notice about any Dr. is the ability to listen. She acknowledged the worry I had while giving me helpful ways to address it. Bonus about wearing glasses? People always think you are smarter than you really are. This gives me a competitive advantage in the office when decision making during meetings * evil laugh *. First off, Dr. Anzalone is no joke. Do your thang, Dr. Anzalone! I respect women like her. I ask a lot of technical questions because I like to know what's going on. She was more than happy to thoroughly answer my questions, and she didn't misinterpret them as my doubting her ability (this has happened before with my orthodontist...and quite frankly, pissed me off but that's another Yelp review). Dr. Anzalone was very informative, and corrected my last eye prescription (thank youuuuuuu). Now for frame selection....wow, frames galore! Where to start? I was a little overwhelmed, especially since it was 9am and I had the eye drops that blur your vision temporarily. Luckily, one of the assistants knew what I liked and picked out a great pair of frames for me. I looked at a bunch more, but I purchased the frames that the assistant (is that insulting?
